IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A CLUB 18-30 TYPE HOLIDAY, OR YOUR THE SORT OF PERSON THAT LETS YOUR CHILDREN RUN WILD BECAUSE YOU CANT BE BOTHERD LOOKING AFTER THEM, THEN DONT COME HERE, ITS NOT A JMC APPARTMENT IN BENIDORM. YANNI MAKES PEOPLE HAVE A SHOWER BEFORE SWIMMING TO KEEP THE POOL CLEAN,IT'S ABOUT HYGENE! WHO WANT'S TO SWIM THROUGH SOMEBODY ELSE'S SWEAT.
YES THE ROOMS ARE BASIC, BUT CLEAN,YOU CAN RENT A FAN FOR WHEN IT'S REALLY HOT.THIS IS GREECE AND YOU DON'T GET THE SAME SORT OF EXTRA'S AS YOU DO IN SPAIN. MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN COMING TO THE BORSALINO FOR SEVEN YEAR'S (TWICE THIS YEAR) AND LIKE A HELL OF A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WILL BE GOING BACK NEXT YEAR.
Leah
The Borsalino is about 20-25 mins walk from the beach, along the main road. But there are supermarkets, bars (Try Nikos Cocktail Bar) and tavernas all along the way. There are plenty of taxis if you carn't be botherd to walk it only costs a couple of euro's.The weather in october can be a hit and miss. Best place to check is www.weatheronline.co.uk it has a web cam and show's the current and previous year's weather.I hope this is of some use.
The travellers cheque question is allways tricky. There are pros and cons with each. We have been travelling to greece since the euro came and prefer sterling, because you can get a better exchange rate in greece (pounds to euro). Also when you return to the UK just pay them into your bank account and you dont loose anything. In greece most banks and shops will charge comission to exchange euro cheques.
Some people have no taste! THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN LAGANAS. If you want bangers and mash with real bisto gravey go else where .
You can find the phone here http://www.alykanas-beach.com/ as well as other details

MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN GOING TO ZAKYNTHOS FOR ABOUT 9 YEARS AND WE HAVE NEVER SEEN A BROTHEL OR A SEX SHOP. ITS NOT THE SORT OF THING I GO LOOKING FOR, BUT IVE BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK A FEW TIMES AND WOULD EASLEY REMEMBER IF I HAD SEEN ONE. AS FOR THE APARTMENTS IVE SEEN THEM AND MY IN-LAWS HAVE STAYED THERE AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THEM. THEY WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED THERE IF THERE WAS EVEN A HINT OF BURBERRY. I DOUBT IF MS HOPCROFT HAS EVEN VISITED THE APARTMENTS OR EVEN PLANET EARTH FOR THAT MATTER.
We have just returned and would like to add a few comments,
Cleanliness
We have never stayed in cleaner apartments in Greece. The staff works very hard to keep the complex spotless.
Quietness
It depends on witch rooms you have as to the level of noise. If you are in one of the two bedroom apartments then you are facing the inner area where the hotel bar is, You will be subjected to the karaoke at full blast, twice a week until 0030 hrs, Not at all good with a 14 month old baby. The compare is so bad that he wouldn't even get an audition in the Phoenix club (NEXT), but if you shut the doors and put on the air conditioning it's just about bearable. This hotel markets itself on families but I would recommend not taking children if their bedtime is before midnight.
The worst rooms face toward the Beach Village and over look the Amos Beach Bar; these boys really know how to party, no sleep till at least 0530.
The staff are very friendly and it's a good place to stay, but not with babies. I would recommend this hotel to friends as long as they are aware of the noise, If you've already booked don't worry as I am sure you will have a great time. The best place for breakfast is Bonkers Bar 2 minuets up the road; the pool there is a lot quieter too. Dilemma Cocktail bar next door is highly recommended.

To all the people who love this restaurant.
We have just returned from zakynthos and this is still the best place to eat on the island. This will be are 8th year going and nothing has come close, especially the Pizzas, To all that know them; Sandy, Fabio and their beautiful baby boy Ellessio (excuse spelling) are fine and well, We will be returning next year.

Booked to go in 2006. We have been through Kalamaki loads of times. but never stayed there. Can someone please tell me where the appartments are in relation to the resort centre. I.E the main road that goes up to laganas.Looking forward to going sounds really nice. Thank You
We stayed here in July and had a great holiday. The apartments are very clean and well equiped, But the bathrooms are rather small.Daniel and Dora are fantastic. The only problem is the location its a fair walk into Kalamaki about twenty mins to the road junction of the laganas road, and very dangerous at night without a torch. As for the quietness we hate Karaoke so the last thing you want to hear as your toddler goes to bed is a cat being put throught a meat mincer.Apart from that its one of the best apartments weve ever stayed in very nice looking.
Ian
I could type loads on here about how good this company is, but all you have to do is read all the other posts. They really are Very Good . We have been going to Zakynthos for over a decade and have hired cars nearly every time. This is the best company by far.FACT.

We arrived at the Dias around 10ish had to wait a short while for our room due to our early flight, not a problem. The studios are quite large. More that enough space for the three of us. My wife and I think the Dais is a great hotel we've stayed a more expensive places that are not a patch on the Dias. It has a really friendly family aura around it. You just feel so at home there. No wonder people keep going back. In fact our 3 year old daughter wants to go back to her new house in Zante.
I must mention Howard and Linzi who run the bar. They work very hard and are a real asset to the place.
I read on a few boards that people complain about the noise from the bar. The only time we were woken was at 4am by an earth tremor, other than that no nise at all. Labros is really helpful and his staff are fanstic. The food in the Taverna is outstanding.
We will be going back next year, roll on .

We visited Kiri, Fabio and Alesio a few times this holiday. Yep it’s still fantastic the Pizza’s are out of this world. A great selection of wines and the pasta dishes are amazing. If you want a quality dining experience without the hustle and bustle of Laganas please give this restaurant a try. Great for couples and families.
We stayed here this year and enjoyed it. The rooms are reasonable size and clean. The family that runs it are very friendly and it has a fantastic pool. A great place to chill out.
