hi simon n gemma thanks for makin it a great holiday the only thing wrong was we should ave stayed in the contessa.  we had eoin shane n kirsty wit us plus emma n sarah.  the entertainment was second to none it was a pleasure everynight.the kids luved d kids club it realy made the holiday for them.  it realy was a memorable holiday hope to c ye real soon keep up the good work ye are brill wish we were there now. rowanda the guy from dublin {miss zante }says hi . def glad we popped in     bye for now .from ron veronica eoin shane kirsty sarah emma n grainne xxx

 Me and my girlfriend didn't stay in this hotel but we wish we did. We stayed in one of the rooms for the last night because we had a early morning flight and our hotel made us vacate at 12pm so we had nowhere to stay that evening and because we got on so well with the staff at the Contessa they let us have a room for the night (at a small cost) and what a room it was like a 5 STAR ROOM . We came to the entertainment every night and we had a great time at this hotel and the entertainment was fab. Simon and Gemma are amazing singers and made the night very lively and fun.Simon and Gemma did different acts every night and were all very good my favourite night was the Blues Brothers tribute and my girlfreinds was Queen. They also did every night a quiz, cash bingo, deal or no deal and at the end of the night when everyone is a little worse for where a KAREOKE WAHEY!!!! A big thanks to Gemma, Simon, Angela, Lorenzo and all the other staff at the hotel for a good laugh and making us feel very welcome at their hotel. This hotel has some great veiws and a 2 min walk from town. The pool was very nice to get in and there was a snack bar with good food. It's a nice family hotel and doesn't get that loud. We enjoyed the time we stayed at the hotel in the evenings so much  that were going back again this year to stay at the hotel for a week and would  recommend people who want to stay in Argassi to stay here.I rate this hotel a 10 out of 10. 

Went to Argassi for two weeks but stayed at a nearby hotel wished we had stayed at the Contessa. We went to the Conntessa every night to watch the best entertainment in Argassi. From Angela to the barman Lorenzo we were made very welcome even though we did not stay there.The entertainment was provided by the outstanding duo of MR SIMON LOWE and MISS GEMMA MARQUEZ. There was bingo , deal or no deal and of course Gemmas quiz.Thank you all for making our holiday a wonderful one and hope to see you again.

Just had a holiday of a lifetime in Zante.  Stayed at the wrong hotel though...........  Two days in the holiday was told about the Contessa and that they put on good entertainment.  We thought we would give it a go.....well we ended up there every night.  What a selection of really good stuff to see and do.  From quizzes to shows, bingo to kareoke, they had the lot...even kids disco and clubs.  Congratulations Contessa you have certainly got it right and we will be back next year.

We went on holiday for two weeks, the last week in may and the first week in june, whilst we were there we bumped into two really nice people who said they were doing a seasons entertainment at the Contessa hotel.

The first couple of nights me and my girlfriend didnt really have anything to do until one day we seen simon and gemma handing out flyer when we spoke to them they told us about the shows so we decided to go and see what it was like first we had a game of bingo then moved on to gemmas fantastic quiz lol then there was a game of  play your cards right which i won so they changed it to deal or no deal the next day then it was the show the first one we seen was grease and it was amazin they both had amazin voices so after the show we got talkin to them both and they invited us to meet them the next day by the pool of the hotel so we went and the people who work at the hotel made us feel so welcome they were such nice friendly people and the food is just outstanding we went to look at the rooms and put it this way they were a palace compared to what we stayed in me and my girlfriend have decided we are goin back there and stayin in the hotel contessa keep up the good work guys all the best simon and natalie

We went to Argassi for two weeks the first week was ok but the second was fantastic we found a excellent hotel with fabulous entertainment for all the family, the hotel staff were so friendly and make you feel welcome. Angela was really friendly and helpful she showed us round the rooms and made us feel really welcome. The bar staff were really friendly too.

We were on holiday at Zante but couldnt find live entertainment which we enjoy, until we heard of good entertainment at the Contessa Hotel. it was a double act, the entertainment starts from about 8pm first a childs disco, followed by a short game of bingo.After they then have a quiz and a game of deal or no deal to win 100 euros. Once the fun entertainment has finished they both sing, doing a different theme each night which is an excellent show. After the show they have another quiz followed by a kareoke, it is well recomended and excellent 6 nights a week entertainment, they made our holiday, thank you from Chris,Barney,Derek & Ann

I didnt stay in this hotel but spent most days and nights here. Days by the pool and nights in the bar watching the entertainment. The staff here are very friendly, go out their way to make sure you are enjoying yourself. Angela took us round to look at some of the rooms here, and they're about a million times better than what we had up at captains. The location of this hotel is also great. No big hills to walk up. The food is fantastic, Haris the Chef is a genious in the kitchen. The fish was awsome, definately recommend. The entire hotel is very clean and no matter which room you get you over look the pool.

Had the most fantastic holiday.  The hotel and the resort had everything we could have asked for.  Hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful.  Added bonus of live entertainment most evenings of a very high standard.  Simon and Gemma were the entertainers and they did a great job catering for all ages and all tastes.  The kids loved their kids clubs too.  It makes a pleasant change to find people who really enjoy doing what they do and that was reflected in their shows.

Can't wait for September when we will be back there again.  Well done Contessa.......................

Hello All Contessa Crew

The Countessa has just had a substantial refit and we really enjoyed our two weeks there. It is family run and location is very central both to Argassi town (2 mins downhill) and 3Km from Zante town.

We have just come back from a week at the Contessa, and on the whole we had a good time. The rooms were functional, clean and well maintained - we had our room cleaned every day, even Sunday. Past reviews note the poor air conditioning in the rooms; the good news is that each room now has its own individually controlled unit - however the bad news is that you have to hire the remote control from reception to use it! It's only 2 euros per day though, and believe me, if there's a heatwave you'll need it!

The food at breakfast wasn't too bad - a bit boring maybe, and done on a budget; as stated before, it was bread, jam, eggs, processed cheese and ham, cereal, tinned fruit, and orange squash rather than orange juice. We didn't try the evening meals but at 8 euros per person it can't be that great. There are far too many good restaurants in the resort to warrant eating at the hotel!

The only thing that let the hotel down in my opinion is the pool. It's quite small, it was very noisy while we were there, and you need to get down early if you want a decent sunbed thanks to other guests reserving them with their towels. One member of bar staff in particular really cranked up the music so it was blaring out - not ideal when all you want is to sunbathe and swim quietly. Here's a tip - if you want a decent pool, use the one down the road at the Papillon. It's open to all, huge, and every time we went there in the morning it was more or less completely empty.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Contessa. The points I have noted didn't ruin our holiday and some people may like a loud pool area!

JUST BACK FROM CONTESSA!I REALLY ENJOYED IT,THE STAFF WERE REALLY FRIENDLY AND GOOD LOOKING THE AIR CONDITION WAS NOT REALLY A PROBLEM....

WE FELT LIKE HOME...JUST CAME TO CORFU FOR 1 WEEK...DEFINITELY COME BACK TO CONTESSA... 

We stayed at the Contessa in late July /early August. We found it to be fine, the room was ok- ensuite twin room.The Air conditioning was a bit of a joke though, as it barely worked and we were sweltering in 40 degree heat. Breakfast consisted of bread, processed cheese, processed ham, cake and tinned fruit- not very good- we only ate there 3 times over the two weeks.  The staff were fine, friendly enough and the bed linen/towels were changed almost every day. The pool was clean and even though we went to the beach most of the time, it was handy to be able to sit out some mornings before the sun really broiled us all. All in all, the Contessa is a decent enough hotel, but if they sorted out the air con, and had a bit more variety at breakfast, it would be even better. 6/10

Stayed in Hotel Contessa on the island of Zante - Greece - tourist location Argassi, it was only fair for a 3* - booked 2 twin rooms and they tried their utmost to undo that booking when they saw my 2 teenage kids and allocate a tiny family room and bunks, and make on the other room, a little sly i felt until i demanded what I paid for, also it should not be allowed to advise airconditioning as it does not work and if at all it is then controlled from reception and you are at their mercy, overall it did not work in 40 degee heat!!! The island is beautiful and safe and easy to get around.  Hotel is in a quiet location which is nice due to # of rooms in this hotel, the pool area is quiet and safe for kids.  Generally not bad it wont ruin your holiday but be aware.
