Thanks for your info,
Have you any more info on the Bitzaro Palace, and what are the best and worst places to go, which are close to this hotel,
As this is our first trip to Zante...
Hi Terry,
I spent my honeymoon at Bitzaro palace last May, I dont think you will be dissapointed, the hotel is lovely and quiet (plenty of room round the pool) The rooms are lovely and the meals are nice. the beach is about 10 -15 minutes walk.
We found the Kalamaki night life very quiet although Laganas is just 3-4 miles up the road which is much livelier.
Hope you have a lovely wedding and honeymoon.
I have just booked a two week honeymoon, to stay in the bitzaro palace hotel in kalamaki,we are travelling in August, has anyone got information on the hotel and location, i have booked this up as a suprise,i'm just hoping i have made a good choice,we want somewhere ,with a pool, and quite quiet, but close enough, so if we want more life we can find it,we both like the beach, so hopefully not to far from that, so any comments / advice please..
I stayed in the Bitzaro Palace on the 6th - 20th July this year, it was fab,you couldn't find one fault with the hotel, friendly staff, Sammy on the reception, Panos in the bar, they made you feel very welcome. Also just 20 mins down the road was a bar called Angels it was owned by the same guy who runs Mermaids, Emily, Chris, Nick and Nicos were very friendy, Beaches very clean all though you couldnt go on the beach after 8 because of the turtles. i went on the peddle boats and saw 3 turtles. it was a fantastic holiday, i couldnt of wished for anything better, 100%
Just back from 2 fantastic weeks at the bitzaro palace hotel. My partner and I were looking for 2 relaxing weeks and thats exactly what we got. Hotel was first class and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed a wonderful buffet breakfast every morning. Reception staff were friendly and Panos the barman always had a smile. Not for late night revellers. One night we spent in Laganas for a bit of night-life and that was enough, never went back. Kalamaki has lots of wonderful restaurants, ate out a couple of nights in the busy Mermaids where you usually have to queue but they do have an extensive menu and you can enjoy good old fish and chips when you've had enough of the gyros and stifado's! The pool was fantastic and there were always sunbeds available. We ventured to the beach towards the end of our holiday and I wished we'd gone there sooner. Lovely sandy beach with beautiful clear water. Went on an all day cruise round the island rather reluctantly and was so glad I did. Visited shipwreck beach which was good fun, came home tired but it was a very enjoyable day. Will definitely go back to bitzaro grand in the near future-go if you want a relaxing time.
We spent our honeymoon at Bitzaro palace at the beggining of June and it was great the hotel lovely I couldnt find one fault the rooms were luxurious the food was tasty and plentiful and the staff couldnt be more helpfull I would reccomend it to anyone- you wouldnt be dissapointed.
Have just returned from an excellent 2 weeks at the Bitzaro Palace. Location was excellent, in an upmarket part of the resort.
Although very close to the airport with the flight path running right behind the hotel the number of aircraft was so few, and half the time they took off/landed from the opposite direction, that this was never a problem.
Air conditioning was on all night in the standard rooms and the fridge meant cold drinks were always available.
Please can you tell me how much it would be to stay at the 'bitzaro Hotel' for 1 week in the first 2 weeks in August, for 2 adults and 1 child aged 10.
Thank you for time and co-operation in this enquiery,
Claire
We are looking at the Bitzaro Palace Hotel, we need to know if the management will run the air conditioning during the night in the standard rooms if it gets hot. If not, are the heat & mosquitoes a problem during the night?
My wife and her friend have just arrived at the
Bitzaro Palace Hotel. Can I get the room
number she's in to phone it direct?
We have been to Bitzaro Palace 2x (1998 and 1999). My daughter who was 4 at the time still talks about it as her best holiday ever.
Staff was kind and helpful. Very clean. Excellent service. Beautiful pool area. Noise levels are low. Family orientated. Beach 10 min. walk from Hotel and clean.
We hope to go back next year with our 2 children who will be 9 and 3 years by then.
I worked in Zante last year, this hotel is lovely and quiet (some aircraft noise) but the airport closes at 10pm due to the nesting of the turtles so it doesn't really bother you! Rooms are nice and a good standard for Greece. You can also go here with Thomson besides the ones below. There are not many good standard hotels on Zante but this is one of them.
Me and my partner have booked at bitzaro palace for our honeymoon next year- would you say that it is suitable for couples and familys as after a bad experience with a late deal to Corfu and ending up in Kavos we really want a tranquill holiday next time.
We had an excellent holiday here - Bitzara is far enough away from Lagana to be peaceful and tranquil during the day but close enough to Lagana to go out for a wild evening, should you fancy it. Service was fantastic in all areas and staff were really friendly, esp in bar and reception. Pool area is superb, with drinks and food served all day. No Aircraft at night and only a few planes during the day so it really isnt an issue at all. Would be really surprised if anyone could have a bad holiday here.
A VERY NICE HOTEL. STAFF ARE BRILLIANT, VERY FRIENDLY AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO HELP.POOL AREA EXCELLENT.AIRCRAFT NOISE IS NOT A PROBLEM AS NO FLIGHTS DURING NIGHT AND NOT MANY FLIGHTS AT ALL.10 MINUTES WALK TO GOOD BEACH.20 MINUTES WALK TO CENTRE OF TOWN OR TAXIS ARE VERY CHEAP.
John - airport noise is not a big problem. No flights between 10pm and 5am because of turtles nesting on nearby beaches. Not that many flights per day anyway, and you are not underneath the flightpath.
is the hotel being so close to the airport a problem? We have just booked for september and we are worried about the noise.
Sharon - There are supermarkets that sell nappies and baby food in resort. I would bring enough for the first few days and then buy the rest locally. Your rep should be able to tell you where the supermarkets you need are located.
Good hotel, very clean great staff, you dont get ripped off. It is close to the end of the Airport Runway( but they have 6 flights a day). hire a car.worth a visit food really great and loads of it.. Ita a more adult hotel, not much for 5yrs and upwards to do..... MUST VISIT>
We're staying at the Bitzara Palace in August and taking our 11 month year old with us. Can anyone tell me if there are local supermarkets etc close by which will sale baby food and nappies or should I take these with us from the UK?
The Bitzaro Palace was a great hotel, in a prefect location, staff friendly, food always fresh and plentiful. No one could help you enough. The Hotel was in a central location within easy reach of everything. The beach was clean too! My friend and I loved it and can guareantee you will too.
