Well after a whole year of counting down, we can hardly believe that our second visit to Clear Horizon is now behind us.    

Once you been hear you will always return, The food is always wonderfull and the service first class, I have been coming hear for over ten years you will never be disappointed. Andy is a first class gentlemen and nothing is too much trouble. And Dianes cooking is out of this world, I am very much looking forward to seeing you all shortly with my wonderfull partner David, Andy I am coming home.

Just got back from two marvellous weeks at Clear Horizon. We would like to thank Andy and the girls for making our holiday so special. Nothing was too much trouble, the view from the balcony was brilliant, Diana"s cooking out of this world. Will see you all again next year.

We cant thank Andy and his team enough for such a warm welcome and a marvelous holiday. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is really lovely. we ate in the restaurant every evening as once you try Diana's cooking nothing else comes close.

Although we didn't stop at the Clear Horizon we made another flying visit to sample Diana's home cooking and get away from the hustle and bustle of Kalamaki.  A delightful welcome was forthcoming from Andreas and Diana, and the food, wine and hospitality, was as usual, first class.  Very disappointing that there was no Banoffee pie but then again you can't have everything.

If you want to get away from it all and have the ultimate relaxation holiday, I honestly cannot recommend the Clear Horizons Apartments highly enough. Amoudi will not be everyone's cup of tea, but then if you're looking for wild night life, you probably should stick with the usual tour operators! Since the tour operators do not feature Amoudi as a resort, it has to offer something different; that being tranquility, relaxation and food the like (and quantity!!!) of which I have never previously encountered!

We have just returned from a holiday in Amoudi and would like to thank all the staff (Soula, Andreas, Diane - especially for the wonderful meals) for making our holiday so pleasant and relaxing. We chose to eat at The Clear Horizon every night, because the quality (and quantity) of the food is unrivalled anywhere else in Amoudi, Alikanas or Alikes.

I would also like to say hello to Helen and Judith, as well as the lovely Irish group who were there in mid-May 2006. Also, hello to Eddie and Jeanette!

We would recommend The Clear Horizon above all others -- we used to adore The Olympic in Alikes, but Andreas, you proved us wrong. This place is fantastic.

another great holiday last june 2005 as usual, andy picked us up from airport. for two weeks andy treated us as one of the family, food was as good as ever, this was our 5th year at clear horizon we have never had a bad holiday with andy, we are looking forward to our holiday in june 2006 when we hope to meet up with some of our old freinds we met there.

thrid visit in two years speaks for it self. andy will pick you up from the airport and take you back. your made to fill special, one of the family., food is A1, rooms are spotlessly clean if not a little basic, views are picture postcard. very peaceful. only real problem is the airport  the new one should be complete for 2006,

another excellent and relaxing holiday, with superb food at the clear horizon, with andreas and the crew working hard to keep everyone happy, although his dancing was truly awful.

Well...where do we start? We chose this place on the positive feedback on this site and we weren't disappointed. Andreas and his family truly do make you feel at home, nothing is too much trouble. It is easy to see why people return year after year.

We went back to Clear Horizon for our second visit August 2005, Andy and the rest of the gang were just as helpful and friendly as ever.We ended up having yet another superb holiday and are looking foreward to returning soon.

We didn't stay in the Clear Horizon Hotel, but we did go in a few times for something to eat and a few drinks, and I just wanted to say that Andreas and all the people who work there are really, really friendly.

We had our wedding in Tsilivi, but having stopped at the Clear Horizon before, we brought all our guests over to Amoudi to sample Diana's excellent home cooking (which is legendary on the island of Zakynthos) a couple of times and they were not disappointed.  Even though the restaurant was very busy Diana and Andreas still managed to get all our starters, main coursers and desserts out to us at the same time - a feat in itself and the food was delicious, especially the BBQ ribs!  A first class place to eat.

following a return visit to zakinthos we revisited clear horizon hotel / apartments and was greeted by andreas the owner whom we met when we stayed there several years ago. we found the reception and hospitality we received exceptionally warm and friendly, the hotel / apartments and location are trulely amazing.if you want a quiet stress free holiday this is the place to visit.

Our second visit to Clear Horizon, in the final week of the season, was just as good as our first visit 2 years ago (if not better). Special thanks to Andy as he kept the hotel open even though my wife and I were the only residents. Even so we could not have been treated better. Peace and tranquility at its best, and Andy the excellent host as he always is. Someone really needs to give Andy a holiday - he truly deserves it.

Hi Jackie. You will get peace in Amoudi, its beautiful. Hotel is nice only studios and one bedroom rooms though air con works I think! Try Sue at AMOUDI-DREAMS@acn.gr We stayed in a two bed apartment right overlooking the beach it was sheer and total bliss, good prices, nice condition apartment. Sue couldn't do enough for us, she arranged everything to ensure we had the best holiday ever, special priced meals, trips out, horse drawn carriage ride for our anniversary etc She even picked us up from the airport. Looking to book a family holiday for 10 people ages ranging from 4 to 47! Will there be enough to do in Amoudi? How much is a taxi from the airport and how many passengers do they take? How far is Amoudi from Tsilivi? Is this accomodation as good as you all say? i.e does the air con work,can you get a quiet nights' sleep! Can anybody recommend a good 2bed apartment with a seaview that i can request? Which are the best studios/apartments in terms of seaviews,quietness etc. Anything else you can tell me about the accomodation and resort to make sure we get the best holiday we can!! Thanks!

I stayed at the Clear Horizons as a guest of Andreas. Well what can I say!!!! The hospitality was second to none. Andreas and his family was there to cater for all our needs. Andreas knew all his customers by first name terms and treated all as part of his extended family. The rooms were basic and very clean. Some rooms have a sea view which was breathtaking. The Clear Horizon has a pool and plenty of sunbeds. You did not have to be up at the crack of dawn to get a sunbed. Amoudi is a traditional greek village with tradional greek prices. There are a handful of restaurants and shops but if you want the hectic night life you can either walk into the main tourist resort which was approx 25 minutes or get a cab which was approx 5 minutes away. Clear Horizons have their own restaurant with competitive prices. If you want tranquikity and true greek ambiance then Amoudi is the place to be.

We've just come back from our second time at Clear Horizon and had such a wonderful time again. This time we booked a two bed room overlooking the sea and the pool and the views are totally stunning.

We have two children aged 10 & 6 and the location is just so perfect for them, the sea is safe and shallow and just at the bottom of the steps of the hotel. The resort is quieter than some others but that suits us just fine. If you want to visit one of the more livelier towns, Andy is more than happy to drop you off but I guarantee you'll be happy to get back home to Amoudi.

We tried lots of restaurants round & about but Andy's always had the best food with reasonable prices too.

We had Derek & Yvonne last year and they were great, we visited them this year & they seem really settled & happy, lots of luck to them. This year we had more of Andy's company and had just as much a great time.

If you want to chill as soon as you set foot in the hotel and be looked after over & above any place you've ever stayed in and be treated like a good friend, then this is the place to be.

We would like to Thank Andy very much for his kindness and support on our recent holiday to Clear Horizon 17th June 2004. My husband was hospitalised on the third day of our holiday with double pheumonia. He was in hospital 10 days and confined to the apartments a further week. I do not know what we would have done without him.His help and support meant a great deal to us. He is a lovely man who deserves alot more than what he sometimes gets. It was our third time at clear horizon and we recommend Andy's warm, homely place to anyone.He goes above and beyond what any other hotel manager would.There has been alot of bad comments on this site that are garbage and you cannot spoil the reputation of a truely wonderful, kind person that Andy is. The food is delicous, the rooms are clean and well kept. The staff are wonderfull and the veiw from the apartments is breathtaking. A truely wonderful place.

We have just returned from Clear Horizon, and we loved it. We shall definately book again as soon as possible. Andy was wonderful and extremely helpful, any problem he will solve it. Food very good, rooms clean. What more can you ask for.

Just returned from our first stay at the Clear Horizon and cannot praise enough the fantastic hospitality we received. The view from the apartments is stunning and Amoudi itself is beautiful. Thank you so much to Andreas for making us feel like part of his family and for all the lifts around the island, to Denise for her breakfasts and Diana for her wonderful home cooking. You gave us a holiday to remember.
To anyone thinking of visiting, go, you wont be disappointed and will want to keep this little piece of Zante heaven a secret! We will definitely return.

well done Mr.J>MCMonagle for finding this site,I think it is wonderful.I have stayed at Clear Horizon & think it is a magnificent place with fantastic views. Andy his family & staff are superb & they really put them selves out for people very welcoming & warm hospitality, I haven`t been since May 2000 but will be coming again hopefully some time later on this year.

In September 2000 I made my first visit to Greece, and stayed in a place called amoudi and the clear horizon. Well, what can I say, the scenery, the beach the people, and Andy and family just made me fall in love with Amoudi and Greece. I have usually went to Spain for holidays, not anymore, since then I have been back in Greece ten times on holidays to different Greek Islands, but Amoudi and the Clear Horizon is still the best place I have spent my holidays by far. Andy cannot do enough for you and he serves the best food in Zante. I will return to Clear Horizon soon, and thank Andy and his family for making me very welcome to his hotel and of course Zante. PS I have just purchased my first computer and found this site.

I have booked to visit here in May, due to the excellent feedback that these apartments received, however, it is disappointing that this site seems to have become a soap box for a personal disagreement.

I've no interest in what went on, and frankly I don't care. If you want to continue your disagreement, then please do it away from this site, as comments like this will only serve to harm the Clear Horizon and prevent others from possibly booking. This site is for sharing holiday feedback, not airing personal disagreements.

As an aside, my dealings with Andreas when booking my holday have been exemplary, and hopefully I will be able to say the same when I return after a brilliant holiday.

Of course you’re going to have every sympathy for Andreas—he’s the only one who will

them into an argument. You were the catalyst that caused everything to blow up.

Your one-sided comments mask the truth behind your obsessivenss with Andreas. It is
apparent that you couldn’t bear anyone being within the small group of you, your husband
and Andreas.

Your events are not that which the island got to hear about. We all know what transpired
there, and we were there to help Derek and Yvonne in the aftermath of the chaos that you
caused. You have caused Andreas to lose a lot of custom. Andreas is a good man. He does
cook beautiful food, and he is a gentleman, whereas you are the opposite and anyone you
come near to you will poison with your demonic mouth and your vindictive soul.

When I come in June, I hope God spares me from encountering you again. God knows my
family and I will stay away from the Clear Horizon in future. Derek and Yvonne are two
wonderful people who kept that place alive.

after arriving in amoudi on the 1st.Oct.2003 we started to have a great holliday the next day when Yvonne & Derek had left, there was less tension in the air & everyone was so relaxed.It took a great weight off everyone`s shoulders them just walking out like that. I would like to add that I did not enjoy the way the welsh couple were shouting at me & accusing me of saying things that I hadn`t, also more importantly the way Derek was shouting at & pokeing him in the chest with his finger, Andreas fell into the doorway at one point. He is a very hard working man & should not be treat in this way specially when he has beeen extremely good to this couple, so I would like you all to bear that in mind when you think & write about this pair, least now with them gone the furniture won`t be being dragged around in the wee hours of the morning & some of us can get some zzzzz in. hello to Eddie & Jeanette,the Fletchers and many of the regulars that take their annual pilgrimage to Amoudi aslo hi to Andreas his 3 lovely daughters Denise(soola) and Denise.

My wife (Shian) and I have stayed with Andy three times now.

We went first of all in June 2002 (with John Bakewell and his wife - see John's comments)for two hot weeks ;
in September 2002 with my granddaughter Jade (met some great people then too - Rosemary and Roy)and
in early May this year for the wedding of a couple we met there in June 2002 (Paul and Marlyn).Great wedding and great reception all arranged by Andy and co.
We also met Colleen Benson when we were there in May this year (see her comments.)
We love Clear Horizon too and the welcome we received going back after the first visit. It really is like going back to friends you've known for years. Andy's great and nothing is too much trouble for him or the staff there (all deserve a mention including the sterling work of Andy's daughter Christina.)
Big big thanks too to Derek (big bear as Jade called him) and Yvonne (best fruit salad in the Ionian Islands) and they're Welsh as well so what more can you ask ????
We had hoped to return this September but.......Hopefully early next season Andy.

We would like to say a big thank you to the Clear Horizon after being victims of T & A Travel – who left us high & dry with no transfers & no paid accommodation at The Panorama.

Although we never stayed at the Clear Horizon, Andreas, Derek & Yvonne made our holiday with their kindness, hospitality, delicious food (and weather forecasts – ahem…Derek…the wind is blowing which way!!!)

If you were thinking of coming to Amoudi, The Clear Horizon is the place to be. After T & A Travel let us down (to say the least), “Uncle” Derek took care of us, right down to our transport back to the airport, Yvonne especially made us delicious lemon cheesecake, and Andreas – well he welcomed us like old friends and nothing was too much trouble! The guests they had staying there too were lovely too – thank you to Jamie, Nik, Colleen & Andrew for being great company and making us laugh, even with thunderstorms lashing outside (I never thought carrier bag rain hats could be so funny!)

So once again, the Clear Horizon is the place to go for your Amoudi holiday – you won’t be disappointed. They made what could’ve been a holiday from hell with T & A Travel a good one and we hope to see them again soon.

it is the ideal place for a quiet holiday. the service is perfect and the rooms are great. everyone is friendly and the restaurant has wonderful dishes (the best in Ammoudi).

Loved it. Got allocated on arrival so was a bit nervous as to where we would be put but couldn't have asked for anything else. Staff very friendly, food very nice and excellent view over the sea. The area itself is quiet but the next resort is a quick taxi ride away. A taxi to Zante Town cost us about 11 euros.

Recommended.

My wife and I belive Amoudi is a "little piece of heaven" and the Clear Horizon is fabulous. All of the staff are pleasant and can't do enough for you. The food is superb and Andy makes you feel like part of the family. We're going back for the fourth time in August and we can't wait.

I love this place, you feel like you have died and gone to heaven.
What makes it so special is Andreas the owner he always makes you feel so welcome and cant do enough to help you. The views are so spectacular, waking up in the morning and seeing the sea and Kefalonia. I have been three times on my own, and have felt so safe and looked after.
Any one going to Zante should visit this place as its right on the beach, and Andreas and Sulle cook absolutly beautiful food.
Just got back last week and will be going again some time this year can't wait to get back.

The clear horizon must be one of the finest locations one would ever come across the beach is only a short distance from your apartment and all the local amenities are all within easy reach. But the finest thing is the resturant the food is ace and the staff are always on hand to help, and andreas makes you feel most welcome.this is our fourth time at the clear horizon apartments and i do not think it will be our last see you all in june. best wishes eddie & jeannette

We stayed in the Clear Horizon apartments for the last two weeks in august and it was beatiful,right by the lovely smelling see,amazing apartments,2 really brilliant pools and the people working there were so friendly.It is a family rum place with the best resturant I have ever been to.Plus a bar that you felt like you had known the barmen all your life the way they talked.All in all the best holiday money could by WE LOVED IT

Have just returned fron 2 excellent weeks at the Clear Horizon. One of the best holidays (and we've had a few). The beach is very close, very small, and very beautiful. We had the perfect relaxation holiday. A shame that JMC have decided not to go back but Andy and the crew will take direct bookings and will have an airport shuttle mini bus in 2003 for residents who require it. The best place in the world for me. The apartments are great, clean tidy well presented. The resturant is first class this is the six time l have been back to Amoudi, I have had a wonderfull holiday each time. An excellent place to stay. Our apartment was the best we have stayed in in the Greek Islands. The room was huge but with a very small bathroom! We also had air conditioning controlled by us at 7 euros per day which was great in temperatures of 40C. But what made our fortnight delightful was Andy, the owner. He will do anything for you, always friendly, amusing and charming. His restaurant serves fantastic food and if you want something not on the menu, he will arrange it. The beach is easily reached down a slope where sunbeds are found at 3 euros each for the day. Bathing is great and the sea shallow and beautifully clear. There is also a swimming pool at Clear Horizon, but if you have children, keep a good eye on them as the pool slopes steeply. Everything in the apartments is spotlessly clean. A great place and hope to go back one day.

We stayed on the island last year and had a FABULOUS time.Andy the manager was FIRST CLASS and a really lovely person.Nothing was too much trouble and he did everything from changing the beds to all the cooking.I cannot recommend the apartments highly enough.ENJOY!!!
