Alykanas Beach Hotel

I dont think you can yet , i have e-mailed them directly 4 times now about booking but have had no reply as yet

can any one tell me how to book for 2009 ?   

We have had another Fantastic holiday at this place...thanks so much to all the staff who did there best to keep us informed of what was happening after XL went bust. I have the email address for the hotel so as soon as i find out how to book for next year i will let you all know.

Might be going back in the winter to meet up with Julie, Maria, Nikos and many others....i need cash to move there forever any offers?

I cant believe it! I was meant to be flying out this Sunday and now i find out that Kosmar have gone!

i can confirm that laganas is approx 25-30 euros in a taxi , not too far around 20 - 30 mins away in a taxi as they take all the roads we wouldnt know

WARNING to anyone who doesn't like turtles ( my mum!!) there are turtles in the sea but it is a great experience as i saw one and my dad saw three and touched one!!!

Hi this message is for sam andrews, i went to alykanas 28th june 2008, maria is now working in the bar upstairs at zante airport, however we did see her by the pool a couple of times through the day. hope you have a good holiday in august.

          Yes you can do a day trip to Kefelonia through Kosmar, you can book up to go on the trip at the hotel at your welcome meeting.

Can anyone help we are coming to the apartments on the 17t August and really looking forward to it!!!! Do you know if you can do a day trip to Kefalonia while you are there we have been to Zante twice before and stayed at Tsvilli so thought we would have a change.

This hotel is only available through Kosmar (although other travel companies offer the hotel via Kosmar) i believe as they have funed some of the upgrades...this place is great for couple so long as you book after the summer hols. although the kids never both you,

2nd year on going to the Alikanas Beach Studios and Apartments (Kosmar) and cannot fault them.  Exceptionally clean and tidy, maid service everyday, clean towels and sheets changed 2 or 3 times a week. 

Staying at ABH for the 3rd year running.Do they still have the greek night with fireworks and dancing round the pool etc 

Came last year and be  there later this year.My son and his family were there begining of June,and loved it,couldn't fault it,and we can't wait, see you later  

Yes !! Entertainment is at ABH. Tues & most Fridays Dave & SAra host a Kicking Karaoke night. Also Bingo & Quizze on other nights & A live Singer every other Friday night. COME & JOIN IN THE FUN!!!!! 

We are going to greece in a few weeks for the third year running is there any entertaiment in the hotel in the evening

me & my boyfriend got back just 4days ago we luvd this place! it was our 1st holiday with jus us two and wen we booked the holiday the travel agent cudnt understand y we didnt wana go lagana, as this is the clubin side of the island & us both b in only 20!but we wanted a nice relaxin 2weeks were we didnt av 2worry bout a fin! this place woz spot on

jus b careful not to sit up the bar for to long,coz they jus keep givin ya more n more drinks(which is al well n good....at the time!but not the nxt mornin) lol

we dun alot of the trips,most of em we 4ort were crap! zante town....a luvly place,but al the shops r the same as wot r in alikanas! the best trip we dun woz the jeep! very good,n u get to c the hole island coz we went to the top of this mountain,which u can only get to off road!fab...we luvd it

hi mandy, yes lesley & pete & martin are still running busters. we've never made it in there for a breakfast yet. every time we go we always say we will but it never happens !!!    And to your other question, no comission on changing cash. we were talked into taking euro travellers chqs once, like you never again !!!!  so cash or sterling travellers are best, though with the exchange rate it makes it dearer holiday than last year. !!  say hi to julie for us please, tell her jo & billy send there love, and have a couple of pints of strongbow for us ..    jo x

Thanks Jo,  its a shame that the girls won't be there, but at least we may be able to see Julie and perhaps even Maria if she's at the airport.  Does Julie's mum and dad still have that Bar in town?  We went there a couple of times for breakfast and it was lovely.

hi mandy, we were there 4 weeks ago, as far as we know there is to be no entertainment staff this year. julie is working at the palm tree in alykes, leta has left but i dont know where to, and maria was working at the hotel, but i had a text off her last week saying she was leaving and going to work at the airport. as you know things could be different again by the time you go !! hope you have a lovely time, we've got to wait another 13 1/2 weeks !!!!!    jo x

Arrived back last Sunday and had a great time, the location is perfect with the choice of either the swimming pool or the beach for the kids which was ideal.

hi beth , jo here !! we.ve just come back and yes nikos & tafik are still there , it wouldn't be the same without them!!  the hotel is under new ownership this year but nothing as changed. we were also told there would be big changes , but sorry nothing !! are you going out this year ? we go again in sept ..   if you want to know anything else let me know .  jo x

just back from the ABS, brilliant place to stay, the food is excellent! hiya to julie & nick, great guys who look after you very well. hiya to nick the hotel manager, really sound guy, who will look after all your needs! the ABS has the perfect location for a brilliant holiday. cheers guys loved every minute.

Hi everyone .. Just got back from the Alikanas beach apartments last night for the 3rd time running and i have to say yet again you can not fault anything about it!! Sue off reception isnt there anymore but everyone else is - Niko,Taffy,Angela,Dometria & Julie. And the newest staff are - Violet,Freddy & Andreya - Theyre all amazing!! and very friendly!! The apartments are really clean! The food is exellent! & if i may i'd recommend the Apollo which has the best food! & the friendlyist staff! .. Every morning at 11am there is the wake-up song & that is by Romy & Sasha who are really kind to all kids! They also do water gymnastics which is really hard not to sing & dance along too! There is a Lifeguard around the pool & on the Beach this year which is a really good idea as it is much safer! .. As i say there is nothing at all to fault about theese apartments, it really is exellent!! Can't resist not coming back as it is that great! I will see everyone next year in 2008, Cant wait! What can i say ? .. FANTASTIC time  ! Great rooms & activities and area. It was made even better by the friendly staff. Mainly Maria Freddy &Angela. The real stars were Nikos & Julie(get emailing!)! Great to see you again. Will be back in 2008. Great animation team especially Rommy who amused me the whole time even on nights out with us and Julie  . Cant wait to ocme back ! xxx Chelsea

Thanks to everyone at Alykanas Beach Aparthotel for a fantastic 2 weeks. We have now been for 4 years in a row, and the place is is SO good, it makes it impossible for us to go anywhere else.

Yippee.  At Last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The holidays for next year are now on sale (. (No brochure yet though).  I went in on Monday (how sad going in on the day they go on sale) after pestering the Travel Agent on a weekly basis and checking the website.  If you know when you want to go and we sort of did, then go and get it BOOKED.

I would like to know just what Kosmar are playing at, I feel we have  been fobbed off when this new brochure is coming out for 2008 - anybody else feel the same? Just dont know what they are playing at!!!!

I am sure there are alot of folk out there who feel like me and are champing at the bit to book for next year, if its not out soon, I think we will book for the Alykanas Village with Portland, at least we will be in the resort and the part of Zante that we really enjoy. Look forward to hearing any other comments on this Kosmar business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got back from a fantastic holiday at the Alikanas Beach Studios, what a great place to stay.I went with my 4 year old daughter and she loved it and so did her cousins who we was also with.Great staff,so friendly couldn't do enough to make our holiday a great one.Would definately go back!!! The animation team was great with the kids,always giving them something to do during the day, from face painting to t.shirt painting which the kids loved. There was also volleyball and other pool games during the day. GREAT HOLIDAY ALL ROUND.THANKS!!!

Hello, I am a single mum with 2 girls aged 16 and 10, never been on holiday alone with them before, going to Alikanas in August,can anyone help with recommending bars / restaurant ect that will be child friendly, safe and fun, also any day trips recommended? Thanx

hi simon, not really sure on the prices but i'll give you a rough guide. the safety deposit boxes are about 15 euros aweek, the sunbeds on the beach are about 7 or 8 euros a day for 2 beds and an umbrella. as for the air conditioning i'm not sure 'cos the times of year that we go we don't need it!! don't know how hot it will be in july but yesterday it was about 45 degrees!!  good luck !!!  hope i've been of some use and i hope you have a great holiday.  jo xx

hi beth,   most of the same staff are still there. sue & letta are still on reception, elani is no longer there. nick is still on night reception, though when i spoke to him last night he said someone new was on there so i'm not sure what was happening there !! most of the bar and waiting staff are the same apart from harry potter as we called him last year, has been replaced by peter. but apart from those few all is well  .if u want to know anything else let me know! talk to you soon xx

Hi.  We are going back to Zante early July - tried to book last year but couldn't get this accommodation so went elsewhere.  A word of warning to you folk who are booking for next year - I booked a two bed apartment with Kosmar for this year (I booked it last July because we had stayed in the two bed apt before and wanted the same accommmodation).  Booking all went fine and confirmation was sent (in duplicate) from Kosmar.  Final account came through in April and looked ok but being a bit obsessive/compulsive i telephoned to confirm - Only to find out Kosmar had put us in a Studio apartment but had not bothered to notify us - What was really galling was that they were still charging us £400 underoccupancy and if i hadn't phoned we wouldn't have known until we arrived on holiday.  Kosmar blamed computer error (anyone watched Little Britain?) 'Computer say NO'!!

hi beth, i'm sure you'll have a great time again this year. we were there in may and we go again in september. unfortunatly dennis is no longer there, but he did come over to see us , and he is doing great. he is working in the courts ! you will have julie behind the bar now, so when you go tell her jo & billy said hi ! have a great time  x

Hyaa All, We are going back to alykanas beach studio's on 5th august for the third time running for 2 weeks. Does anybody know whether the super cool bar man dennis is still there? hope so, what a guy  people wundering about theese apartments, can rest easy as they are superb. Roll on to august!

hi ppl me and my g/f are having a holiday at alikanas beach studios and apartments from july 22 nd until 6th august. it will b our second time at the place we found it great our first time around especialy our room as it was right by the bar. hope everyone who goes njoys it as much as we do. look forward to cing and meeting people soon.

  We got back from Zante on Sunday and we were really impressed with not only the Hotel itself but also with the Staff.  Sue, Nikos, Julie, Maria and many more. The only problem was that we had to come home.     Everyone was lovely and helpful.  Our kids throughly enjoyed every second and it was hard to get them  out of the pool.  

It is definately a place that we will go to again and will more than happily recommend others to go to.  Come on Kosmar get the holidays for next year available, we want to go again. 

What a great place to stay.  Just got back.  Staff brilliant, thanks to all for being great with my son Jamie.  Went over to Kefanlonia for day and it was a lovely day.  Went on train trip which was great value for money.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

another great holiday at the alikanas beach. it really is the staff that makes this place work so well  nick, what can we say..... except thanks for another great holiday. the earliest we got to bed was 2.30am the latest 6.45am!!! we love you  !!  reception won't be the same without you now you've changed jobs  .  and julie you're great  you really looked after us , though i don't really remember the first night !!!!!    we'll keep in touch with both of you over the summer. and a big thanks to the rest of the crew, sue , peter , david ( shurrup muppet ! ), and everybody else  . look forward to seeing you all in 17 weeks time...not that we're counting !!!!   lots of love    jo & billy  x
