Stayed here in September for a week and loved it. Would like to go back next year but unfortunately I dont think they are with Thomson anymore, can't find pricing anywhere?
we stayed here last year and loved it, we had a two bed flat it was so peaceful and clean we tried to come here again this year but it was fully booked
The Draganikos apartments has to be one of the best places to stay on Zakinthos. They offer the ease of looking after yourself but in a community with others. I was amazed to hear how many people come back year after year (and weeks in some cases) to the same wonderful location. The location of the apartments is perfect with the town of Alikanas a 10 min walk away and the beach 2 mins away it offers the chance to get out and about if need be and a laze on the beach if not. One word PERFECT! The staff are very friendly and rather than having a rep on site you get to experience real Greek hospitality - this is definitely one place not to be missed.
I have stayed in both of the two bedroom apartments and the balconies are lovely in whichever apartment you are given. There are balconies outside each of the two bedrooms with lovely views and they are really big and have a table and chairs. The balconies go right round the apartment. It is one of the best things about the Draganikos. One apartment has balconies facing down the road to the village - the other overlooks the driveway and you can see the sea. The kitchen is very tiny and very basic - I have never used it. It does have a large fridge/freezer (this year my apartment had a new one). There is no kettle or toaster so I always take a travel kettle. The Romanza's prices are about the same as a couple of years ago - a couple of the restaurants in the village were closed this year - the restaurants were never busy - the prices haven't gone up but in the village they used to give free fruit after the meal but most have stopped this now.
Hi All!
YES,THERE WILL BE A FRIDGE, MIGHT NOT BE AN ICE CUBE TRAY BUT THEY ARE CHEAP ENOUGH AT THE LOCAL SUPERMARKET IF THERE ISN'T ONE.
Daughter and family booked for here on Friday21st at Thomsons Travel Agents. The Brochure they gave her is the JUST arm of Thomsons. The description of the rooms states a kitchen with the 2 electric rings which we are all used to but there is no mention of a fridge. I presume there is one as every self-catering studio/apartment we have been in in greece has one.
First choice and thomsons are joined and you can book online for draganikos with thomson today but firstchoice it will be a few days, Im booked and cant wait Draganikos is excellent and friendly
Draganikosare on Thomsons website NOW
MY FIRST CHOICE TRAVEL AGENT HAS JUST RUNG ME TO SAY DRAGANIKOS APARTMENTS ARE IN THE NEW BROCHURE OUT TODAY, ALTHOUGH IT WILL TAKE A COUPLE OF DAYS TO GET THROUGH THE SYSTEM BEFORE THEY CAN TAKE BOOKINGS
WHY DO FIRST CHOICE MAKE THINGS SO DIFFICULT ?
Just recieved email from firstchoice.
They have dropped Draganikos and will not be using these studios for 2010
Does anyone know if they are available elsewhere?
First choice have a new brochure coming out at the end of august it is a 2 star brochure, and draganikos should be in there, but they said you will not be able to book or tell you if it is in there until the brochure is out, i have a friend who lives near there and she asked them and they said firstchoice are still doing it this year, so just keep checking... hope this is of some help..
HI, WE ARE ALSO TRYING TO BOOK DRAGANIKOS FOR 2010 WITHOUT SUCCESS.
dragonikos can be booked for 2010 on july 3rd 2009 through firstchoice
Have stayed at the Draganikos a few times over the years and had intended to return next year (2010) but it appears not to be on offer with First Choice. If anyone visiting this year could find out if Draganikos is going private or whatever and then post it on here, I would be very grateful. Thanks.
Have just come back from holiday - there is no air conditioning in apartments.
also the two bedroom apartments are nos. 3 and 4 - I stayed in 4 this time which overlooks the restaurant and driveway.
Hi, can anyone tell me if air conditioning has been fitted in the rooms at Draganikos yet. Thanks
have been going to the dragonikos for nine years and we are returning in july this year (10) looking forward to beach &mill bar and our favourite taverna the mantalena ++++++ john &barbara palmer
Does anyone know the room numbers of the 2 bedroom apartments please?
We have stayed at Draginikos every year since 2005, and are returning in September 2009. I can honestly say we find it perfect in everyway. Booking for 2009 proved "difficult" to start with - but again I can confirm First Choice are still offering Draginikos for 2009.
We were there in August this year and I was impressed with the location! I couldn' believe how close we were to Valias for the pool and to the beach.
on the road leading down to the beach next to Romanza restaraunt and before Valais hotel,a really ideal location in my opinion.
Where are these situated ?
Thanks Sheila, booked May through travel agents and September online as always,no probs at all, just hope we don't get offered alternative accomodation when we get there!
