Hi Wendy and Toni and family, just wanted to thank you all once again for yet another excellent holiday.Sorry for drinking so much Metaxa( im sure i didnt have it all though!) unfortunately i now have an addiction to it and am currently undergoing treatment-Yamass! We shall of course be coming back next year so please hide the bottle! First time in Greece and had a really good holiday at the Agoulas Apartments, couldn't have picked a better location, pool, bar and the sea all right there on the doorstep.  Thanks to Spiros, Maki, Vivi, Grandad and Francisco for making my holiday more fun.  Keep up the good  work everyone. Wishing I was back there now in the sun by the pool

Just been reading this years entries,particularly from Alan and Donna. Absolutely agree. Great place, friendly and homely.Have been visiting for years and it gets better every time. Bit of a mish-mash with tour operators again, the only answer is to phone Wendy & Toni direct and ask. Even Wendy has got in on the act and adding her comments. Don't know how you find the time,Wen. See you in two weeks time for the second trip this year - that must say something. Jerry & Jill.

Went to the apartments in august 2003. had a really gr8 time, an a gr8 laf wiv makki. really nice people and a luvly place. i have heard that kosmar are no longer dealing with agoulos apartments, does anyone know if agoulos is making a deal wiv airtours, or any other company? as i am hoping to go to the agoulos this summer (2005)? please e-mail me!! Only been back a week - really looking forward to going again. Hopefully will get back last two weeks in August (don't care how hot it gets) A real beautiful place and everyone so friendly (especially Romeo Maki) Wendy and Tony are great and we met some really great people.

Glad Greece won - knew they would and sorry not there to celebrate.

Just returned from week at Agoulas. We also were given three weeks notice, moved from Agoulas to Athina. Hated Athina, there was no hot water till after 6pm, owners dictatorial and rude.Have stayed at Agoulas twice a year for seven years, May and October. Didn't want Athina, so my husband rang tony, arranged a price,and four of us went to Agoulas,leaving our rooms in Athina unused, expensive but worth it. Had place to ourselves,as Wendy and Tony only found out about Kosmar pulling out about the same time as us. My Travel has taken over rooms in Agoulas for four month, June till Sept, Wendy's phone no is 00302695027283(Bar) if you can get flight only, and book rooms direct with them. Would hate to stay anywhere else on Zante, rooms basic but clean, surroundings idyllic, bar,food,entertainment and friendliness excellent. Rally round friends, don't let Holiday Companies dictate our holidays for us, we are the paying customers and deserve the right of choice. (When my husband tried to book the Ionian Hotel-Kosmar's other choice, he was told it was fully booked, we went and inquired while in Argassi, only four rooms booked). Someone lying somewhere!!!

in response to yvonne, spoke with wendy last night 14th april, to discover that they only found out themselves a few days ago it seems kosmar has just cut their ties full stop, anyway i have heard that airtours are interested in taking the apts on which can only be benifical to them, we have moved to the athina which is basically the other side of town near to the church, we travel on the 16th may so we have only been given a few weeks notice, but wendy has said if we dont like it we can go and stop with them. i think you were on holiday with my boyfriends mum and dad last year alan and chris. if you want wendys phone number then give me a mail at donnamachin1@hotmail.com and i will pass on to you any more info that i can find out..

I've just had my holiday cancelled as Kosmar no longer deal with the Agoulas. Does anyone know any more about this or have contact details for Tony & Wendy. I'm gutted!

Can any one tell me why kosmar have moved us from agoulos apts wen we always come here and have a laugh with tony,wendy,makkie and vivi, best not forget ron the mad chef..

Just returned from two great weeks at the the Agoulos. This is the third time we have visited the apartments and we are booking again for next year. The apartments are an ideal size with a great location, quiet and off the main road during the day allowing you to chill out around the pool with a great bar to party the night away and meet friends old and new. We can't wait until next year.

been here twice and had an excellent time on both occasions, tony and wendy are brilliant company and really know how to look after you, this place has got views to die for, we are going again in early september but only for a week anyone who is going the second and third weeks of september beware of margaret,pete, and jackie in paticular jackie, it is us who took the picture of francisco sucking her nipples which is on the wall of the bar, if you are a couple you will have a great time with spiro who mixes the drinks(absolute nutter) anyone who is there from september the 7th drop us a line
we have already priced up for may next year and no other company can match kosmar prices it will cost us only £550 between us for a fortnight in may this year it was red hot so you get the weather anyway.. see anyone who is their next week for a drink..

friendly staff,but oh my god if i had slept in an oven on gas mark 8 it would have been a lot colder than the apartment,virtually impossible to sleep at night

I would highly recommend these appt to singles couples and families it's regular home from home. I went out with my mum betty or alias Queen Elizabeth to Makkie and Alex, thanks to you boys for the great entertainment and to Wendy and Tony for the excellent food and hospitality. We met some great people Edna,Terry and their family, Jean and Rob remember to put those tickets safe next time he he. The greek night is highly recommended but make sure you have spare clothes you will end up in the pool at 4am. The brochure does not do justice to the location you are literally by the sea, also thanks to our rep who does not pressure you but was always on hand. Will definately go back.

this was our second year at the agoulas apts as ever had an excellant time the veiws are unbeatable, its on the edge of the sea which is great for swimming in as its very clean. the apts are unbeatably clean wendy does a lovely breakfast,spiros is a very bad man behind the bar he will mix anything with anything to make an explosive drink had more than one hangover to prove this also hi to mackie and alex you make great entertainment see you all next year alex and peter

The apartments were typical greek apartments but the atmosphere down by the pool and at the bar was great. U should defo go for the karaoke night, its a g00d laff, the bar prices r great (2.50 E for a coctail) and Spiros is a g00d laff.

Having just returned from here, I would say the brochure does not do justice to the place. Brilliant setting, so close to the sea, although centre of Argassi approx 15 mins walk away (few footpaths). Very hot in June, advise hiring a fan for rooms as so hot at night. Very friendly staff, who helped make the holiday so enjoyable. Everything said below about Spiros and his cocktails and shots is true. Expect to end up in the pool in early hours!!! Good idea to hire a car, cheaper if booked in resort by a third. Loads of places to visit, you might even spot an elusive turtle. Maike (walking hormone) really nice lad and always ready for a chat especially if you are young and female! Only Joking Maike. Met some great and very mad people there - Simon, Lee, Lucy and Lianne - the Guilford 4. Edna and Ted and family from Liverpool and Karen and her mam from Sunderland. (Remember the nighmare in the airport queues)
Thanks to Tony Wendy Spiros and Maike for making our holiday so good. This place is highly recommended and would definitely return.

can anyone tell me if the agoulas apartments have a baby pool as my sister will be visiting agoulas apartments this May on holiday with a six month old baby??

We are considering staying here in Ausgust. we have an 8 year old girl. Would anyone know if this accom is more for single people or families?

Well my Fiancee and I came back from our holiday in Zante in September and its taken me until now to recover. The appartments we stayed in were basic but clean and only a minutes walk away from the pool bar(HMMMM BEER), and we had great views looking out over the sea. Argassi centre is about 10-15 mins walk and there are great places to eat and drink in. There are many bars and clubs with some showing English footy matches off sky (sorted).

Wendy and her crew did a great job keeping the place tidy and made everyone feel really welcome (infact it was like home from home)and she does a wicked breakfast to. Tony and Mark keep the nights lively with music and stuff and Spiros serves up fantastic shots, cocktails and anything else he can mix(man does he know how to mix drinks - I know, I was ill twice and ended up in the pool twice at 4am - not recommended). They all did a great job keeping us entertained and were extremely friendly and I would go back in a minute and probably will cause it has to be the best holiday I've ever had. I would also like to thank Dave & Clair & Phil & Fliss and everyone else who was there who made the two weeks really entertaining and also the barrell of doom and spiros's cocktails for really interesting / amusing entertainment.

Just come back on Sunday. It was one of the best weeks holiday I have ever had thanks to Tony, Wendy and Spiros (crazy guy). I have never laughed so much. Watch out for Spiros setting the bar alight but make sure you're not on it when he does (like I was). The apartments were basic but clean which is good enough for me, after all you only sleep in them! It was an enjoyable walk into the centre - 10 mins at my pace with uncomfortable shoes! I would recommend people to go there - I will probably end up there again.

Me, Claire, Ian, Paul and Paul have just come back from staying at the Agoulas Apartments last week. We had an amazing time - i have never laughed so much! Thanks to Tony, Wendy and Spiros for making it a brilliant holiday. I will definately be going back! The party nights are a brilliant laugh - make sure you have a waterproof watch as we all ended up in the pool at 2am thanks to Spiros, It was very refreshing though. Had a really fantastic time staying at the Agoulas Apartments. Our hosts Tony and Wendy (and Vivi and Makki too!) were always very friendly and helpful. Lost the quiz night to Rick (the person below) during our last night there, how shameful! No-one can expect the cleanliness to be up to hotel standards; you get what you pay for. Yeah, it was a class holiday. As Simbad would say, "Top Banana" :)

Hey mmy m8s and i (6 in total) just got back from 2 weeks at the agoulos inn in argassi!! had the best time! Hi to Wendy, Tony, Spiros, Macky, Vivi and not forgetting Mark! The agoulos inn is a friendly place and would recommend it to anyone! I will definatley be going back!!! they have party nights on mondays and a greek night on thursdays! And saturday night is quiz night! Mark the rep was pleased to see us go as we won the quiz 2 weeks in a row!! HAHA!! The cocktails are great and generous in the amount of alcohol they include in them!!! and the free shots!! if your looking for a quiet day and a fairly lively night then this is the place for you! the town is full of bars and restaurants and one night club!!! so book up people!!!! i will be! See you next year hopefully!

Sorry forgot to mention, Wendy makes the best cheese and tomato omelettes. And the fry ups are great.

I was with the party of 16 with gemma!!! I also have to say the holiday was fantastic. The best ive ever had. The agoulos inn was brilliant; great food, great cocktails. The pool was fantastic, and as the apartments are right next to the beach we had the sea to cool off in aswell. I think it's fair for me to say that all of the people in our groups share the same sentiments as myself and gemma. I totally disagree with the comment made below that the apartments were dirty and poorly ventilated. i also stayed in one of the ground floor apartments which i found reasonable. As for the centre of argassi being a long walk, what crap. it's a ten minute walk for SLOW walkers. Anyway all i have to say about the whole resort was that it was fantastic. The best bars to go to are 'the Magic Mushroom', the Appollo (cheap beer) and the only nightclub 'the factory'. The factory is a bit pricy but for a good long night out its a good place. if anyone does go to the magic mushroom ask for a 'FRUITS OF THE OCEAN' cocktail, it's their best.!!!! I will definately be going back and staying in the agoulos inn!

sorry, just realised that I forgot Mark! who was as much a part of the Agoula as tony and wendy! MAybe not the best Dj, due to his choice of music, haha but he's a great guy and bandaged up my toe when I cut it in a drunken stupour! x

we just arrived home yesterday and we already miss the place, anyone who was at the agoulos inn at the same time as us will know us as the 'group of 16 from jersey! this was the best holiday ever and wendy's tuna salad rolls kept me alive. Spiros is the craziest barman ever - threw us in the pool at 3am! loved the cocktails especially the pink panther and hello to maki and bibi who taught us loads about the culture and a few choice greek phrases. I really miss Argassi, but I'll be back next year! x

this was one of the best holidays we've had. we stayed for two weeks from 16th-30th june and made a few new friends. tony & wendy are great hosts and make you feel very welcome and the barman spiros is amazing. mark was the best/craziest rep we've had providing much entertainment in the evenings(he just can't keep away). the sea is just yards away and the bar/pool area was great. only a 5 minute walk into town and 10 in a taxi to zakynthos town. all in all a fantasic holiday. thanks guys, and too all who were there, let me hear you say a-gou-los-inn. We have just returned from a very enjoyable week at the Agoulos Inn. the accomodation was clean and comfortable and they have a cracking little snack bar down by the pool. loads of sunbeds and the beach is just across the road. The bar at the Agoulos is called the bedrock bar and the crazy barman Spiros mixes some wicked cocktails and my wife is convinced that he is responsible for the fact that she was under the affluence of illkahol every night that we were there. We thought the Kosmar rep Mark was excellent as well as a little bit mental(very helpful and entertaining)If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with some lively evenings then we would recommend the Agoulas to anyone. But if you want quiet evenings then we suggest that you look elsewhere. Thanks to Toni,Wendy and kids, crazy Spiros and mad Mark for a great time, hope to see you all again soon. yabadabadoo

We stayed at the Agoulos for 2 nights last week before we paid Kosmar for a transfer to the Olympic Hotel in Laganas. We were given a studio on the ground floor, which had only one entrance and a small window at the rear which opened near the boilers; there was, therefore, a serious lack of ventilation. The room was damp/humid and had a damp smell. The studio was extremely dirty, especially the floor which we didn't walk on with bare feet as a result. The walls looked like they hadn't been painted for a while, the fridge door was very rusty, and the light switches were covered in dirt. We were so disappointed/disgusted that we did not communicate much with the owners, altough they seemed very friendly. In terms of location, it is very quiet but quite a walk from Argassi along a relatively busy road with no pavement (not so safe). Whilst other studios in the block may be of a higher stadard, our experience would make it difficult to recommend this place, and very easy to advise against it. The problems were basic (ventilation and dirt), but they were serious nonetheless.

going back for the 3rd time in under a year. Tony-what a great hoste(keep an eye on your wife/girlfriend. Wendy-puts together a very strange but delicious sunday lunch. the kids-never take micki up to watch the footie if you want to hang on to your holiday money!!!

Enjoyed our visit last time, bit of a walk from the resort centre otherwise very good. lokking forward to getting into their new pool in August - simple formula if we didn't like it = we wouldn't be going back.
