i will try and be as honest as possible with my comments, on arrival at noula studios you are greeted by a steep drive which would prove to be difficult for the elderly or anyone with walking difficulties, the rooms are basic as described in the brochure, two single beds, wardrobe etc, the kitchen has a kettle, toaster, fridge and a two ring cooker (antique) but hey who wants to cook on holiday anyway! the bathroom has loo, sink and shower with no curtain and a shower control that a safe cracker would have difficulty operating. rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed a couple of times a week, pool is quite small but was very clean and never overcrowded, lounger mattresses and sun shade are 3 euro's per day but plenty to go round. bar area and snacks are also excellent. short walk to the town, most resturants are bars good, the best we found were ethnic, big plate greek taverna and the red lion, good selection of food from traditional greek to a full english breakfast. best part of the holiday was the social side around the pool and in the bar, everyone really friendly and up for a laugh, noula and spiros were the most helpful hosts you could ever wish for. thanks to jenny and leigh, sarah and mark, lucy and dean and richard and andrew aka d**k and dom.... gary and bev
We returned from a 2 week stay at the Noula Studios on the 1st August. We really enjoyed the stay and Noula made us feel very welcome, if you ever wanted anything done, she or her husband Spiros would do it for you. The studios were very good, they were cleaned 6 days a week and we had everything we needed. The whole feeling at Noula Studios was very special, it is the first holiday we have had, where people from the studios socialised both around the pool in the daytime and in Argassi in the evening. Noula was like a mother figure and a friend for everyone and she even waved us off when we had to go home, she really does make her guests feel welcome. Noula has friends who return each year to her studios, some have been going back for over ten years. I would give the studios and the facilities - ten out of ten. It is a place for couples, young people, older people and families. There is a steep drive to the studios but you get used to this! Anyone who is looking for a relaxed, friendly holiday with basic but clean studios, will find it here.
Just back from Zante, weather great Noula Studios very good, basic, very clean, on the outskirts of resort so fairly quiet. Noula and family very helpful and pleasant. Can highly recommend the taverna at the top of the hill. Fantastic views, excellent food and you can even get a lift up and back.
WEARE GOING TO NOULA STUDIOS NEXT WEEK, DO YOU GET TOWELS?
to all people who say it is avarage are wrong...if you need anything at all just ask....because noula will try her best to help,,as she did with us..we felt very comftable there,so dont forget just ask........
i am going to noula studios in july and am just wonderin what the weather is like at that time of year. ................anyone been in july??? if so was it hot??? and how hot was it??
I could'nt agree more with Hayley Carey's comments of 22/04/05. We are returning for our tenth holiday at Noulas in July. One word to Noula sorts out any problems immediately. Towels are provided and there is daily maid cleaning. People seem to expect 5 star luxury at bargain prices or are "professional moaners". See you in July Noula and Spiros
TO ANY BODY WHO IS THINKING OF OR GOING TO VISIT NOULA STUDIOS THIS YEAR, PLEASE DONT BE PUT OFF BY A LOT OF THE TWADDLE YOU READ ON THESE PAGES, MOST OF THESE PEOPLE DONT READ THEIR BROCHURES PROPERLY OR ( MORE THAN LIKELY! ) WANT SOMETHING FOR NOTHING. WE ARE VISITING FOR THE 3RD TIME IN MAY 05 FOR OUR HONEYMOON, AND AGAIN IN JULY 05. THE ACCOMODATION IS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED IN THE THOMPSON BROCHURE AND REPRESENTS FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY. THE ROOMS ARE BASIC, BUT NOT THAT BAD ,CLEANED EVERY DAY, COOKERS NOT UP TO MUCH, BUT HEY IF YOU WANT TO COOK FOR YOURSELF EVERY DAY GO CAMPING IN SKEGNESS, BUT BE WARNED YOU WILL PROBABLY FIND IT MORE EXPENSIVE !! THE FRIENDLINESS OF THE OWNERS NOULA AND SPIROS IS GENUINE AND WARM, ANY PROBLEMS YOU MIGHT HAVE WILL BE DEALT WITH IMMEDIATELY OR A.S.A.P. NOULA STUDIOS MAKES A GREAT BASE FOR YOUR HOLIDAY IN ZAKYNTHOS AND PLEASE REMEMBER HOW MUCH YOUR PAYING , IF YOU WANT 5STAR DIGS FOR " JUST " MONEY, YOU WOULD BE BETTER TO GO ELSEWHERE .
add a comment to the page its easily done chick

I will be staying at Noula Studios in July 2005. Do they supply towels, bed linen etc., and how basic are the apartments. If linen etc., provided, how often are they changed. Are the rooms cleaned
GOOD POINTS - people are very nice - very welcoming - pool area very nice dispite being small there were always enough sunbeds with out feeling crowded.
BAD POINTS - bathrooms smell disgusting - my first job was to go to the supermarket and buy bleach and rubber gloves - I bleached both bathrooms (we had 2 rooms)twice per day for the first week and only then did the smell go - just like the mens toilet in a busy pub - very unpleasent - I also think that we had the worst rooms in the block - no view - very old fasioned and uncomfortable patio furniture - the beds keep you awake at night as any slight movement can be heard by everyone they squeak like hell!
OVERALL - We did enjoy the holiday as the good points of the resort outweighed the bad
After reading all the great comments about this place was hoping to be writing the same on our return, but sadly NO ! Yes, the location is great, at the Zante Town end of Argassi, a pleasant walk to the majority of restaurants and nice and quiet in the evenings (apart from the noise of the constant scooters etc. but u get those everywhere!) Close to the sea (I won't call a strip of sand barely big enough for 20 sunbeds a beach) and also supermarkets and the bus stop. But the actual standard of accommodation was very poor. Shabby furniture, bedding, crockery etc & a distinct lack of hot water - we only found it to be on in the evening and then it was unreliable. The pool looked lovely, but we preferred to travel to a decent beach. Sorry Noula and Spiros, but we're really disappointed - the complaint letter to Thomson is in the post !
hi just come back from noula studios this august it was a bit smaller that you would get in tall apartments but fine for us. The rooms were basic two beds one bathroom toilet, shower, sink and you got a fridge a bin ,a sink kettle and toaster. You got a walldrobe drawa and a dressing table with draw .you also got a chest of draws on the other side. So we were pleased with the space over all .And you got a fan and balcony.
hi i would like to say our time at noula studios was very good .There was one bad thing and that was walkin out of noula studios .As soon as you got down the hill there was a main road so you had so walk right in against the wall every time.Apart from that it was very good the pool was very clean , the food down argassi main street was supberb ,every single restruant was brilliant espessially the roof top ones . ps if you go to the town make sure you get a taxi because the buses only come every 2 hours and it s a 40 minuete walk but there are no paths so you nearly get killed.
i like to no wat the rooms are like (lay out eg)are they realy basic or do you have some room to move abount going out there in august cant wait.
just wonderd if any one has any pictures of noula studios inside and out going there in five weeks but the suspence is killing me. if no one has any pictures could they please tell me wat the rooms are like (set out etc) spiro59@hotmail.com (thank you)
I had a fantastic time, we sat by the pool all day long and partied at the Avalon at night. This was a brilliant place to stay, everyone was lovely, especially Noula. Thank you for putting up with us, sorry if we were a bit noisy at times.

YOU CAN BOOK THROUGH THOMPSON JUST AT LUNN POLY OR ON THE INTERNET.
Can anyone tell me what holiday company i can book noula studios through?
Hi Lauren
I went to Noula Studios last year and i'm going bak again in June. Unfortunately there were no towels provided so make sure you take plenty. Hope that helps.
Kelly
HI, going to the Noula studios in july just wondering if you get provided bath towels. thanks
I've just thought about revisiting Zante 5 years after working there (the summer of '98). I used to be a rep for Noula and her studios! and am really glad that she and Spiros have put their dream into action and built that pool! I am so glad of the internet I have just looked at some of the photos, and it's as if I have never been away. She was like a 2nd mum to me.....if anybody reads this just before they are on their way there, can you remember me to her - and tell her that I am about to book a week there - but as a holiday maker this time!!! Thanks Ruth
Visited Noula Studios first 2 weeks of July for my first holiday abroad with my boyfriend. Couldn't have wanted anyhting better. The rooms were big enough and always clean (maid comes every day). Pool was great and just right for the amount of guests there, never too busy. We have fallen in love with Zante and these studios and will definitely be returning. All the restaurants were great and we didn't have any complaints during the whole holiday. Would recommend Zante and these studios to anyone, they really are as good as people say.
Have just returned from our 7th holiday at the Noula studios and we had another wonderful 2 weeks. Noula and Spiros and family are our friends now and we can't wait to go back. The studios have excellent sea and pool views. The pool with Spiros tender loving care must be the cleanest and safest in Greece. Very, very friendly family. You must go.
Apartment was basic but very clean, exactly what you need for a self catering holiday where you intend to go out for your meal most nights. You have to visit Noulas Studios just to meet Noula, Spiros and Louis. Noulas is the lady who owns the apartments and runs the bar most of the time, she lovely but very emotional. Spiros spends 24/7 cleaning his pool which by the way is perfect (exactly the right size for the amount of guests, theres never a problem getting sunbeds and an umbrella). Louis is really really friendly and funny. He's more than happy to put a DVD on for you in his near inema sized setup if you fancy a night in. Cannot stress enough, GO THERE NOW!!!
P.S. Argasi was perfect for us as a resort because it had loads of restaurants and things but very few clubs. If you want clubs go to laganas.
Feel free to e-mail me if you've got any questions

the room have two single beds pushed together with plenty of drawers and a wardrobe. all rooms have a kettle, toaster, cooker, and a fridge. all rooms also have a balcony top floor have a sea and pool view, bottom floor a pool view you can also see mainland greece from the balcony. The pool is medium sized and also has a baby part. Toasties, salad, breakfast is served at the bar and also soft and alcoholic drinks and icecreams. Shop is about 1 minute away, beach about 5 mins walk to the main one. The beaches in argassi are not excellent but do offer watersports, if you want to go paragliding do it at this one as you get the longest time in the air. If you want a better beach st nicolas beach is excellent with a free bus pick up at the church across the road from noula studios. Noula studios are located about 10 mins from airport which is ideal and only 5 mins from zante town which is where all boat trips depart. Excellent distance from the bars and clubs, only 5 mins walk away yet you cant hear the music at night! Bars to visit are the kiss bar, magic mushrooms and the factory (after 12!) at the magic mushroom they set the bar on fire at about half ten! Restaurants to visit are the green frog and the chinese next door to it! The only disadvantage of these studios is the steep hill leading up to them not suitable from wheelchairs but otherwise not to bad!!
You’ll be able to enjoy panoramic views over Argassi from your balcony at the friendly Noula Studios. The owners‚ Noula and Spiros‚ will offer you a warm welcome. Set among greenery and wild flowers on the hillside at the edge of Argassi resort‚ your rooms are basic and homely. Argassi beach is 75 metres downhill and the watersports are just a little further. The nearest bars and supermarket are 50 metres away.
• local resort, Argassi • small pool • pool bar • small lounge with large screen projection TV • money exchange, fans and safety deposit boxes available • all studios have 2 electric rings and kettle (suitable for light snacks only) • self catering • studios for 2 adults (min 2, max 2), shower, wc, balcony, sea view or pool view • studios for 2-3 adults (min 2, max 3), shower, wc, balcony, sea view or pool view • steep driveway leading to studios • official rating A • available on Monday and Friday flights
We stayed here in june 03. You could not wish to have a nicer person than Noula to greet you. She made you feel welcome from the first second she met you. Noula could not do enough to make you feel more welcome. The pool and poolside snacks are just right. The views are something to see, you dont often get pool view sea view and mainland view all in one. It is so good that we are going back in May 04 and bringing friends with us.
Its my last day at Noula Studios in Argassi and I don't want to leave.
Noula herself is wonderful. She is such a warm friendly lady who makes everyone feel welcome. Spiros, Cathy, Louis Jon and little Spiros also have helped to make this holiday one I will remember fondly for the rest of my life.
Will definitely come back to Argassi and will definitely stay at Noula Studioa again.
we have been to a few places in greece but this one will stay with us forever!! we will be returning for definate!!! noula & spiros and family are great people who are helpful, friendly and generous.
we stayed there as a group of five adults and five kids and we had a fantastic time. our youngest daughter was upset to leave on the last day and had noula in tears aswell.
the pool and the apartments were very clean and we ate out every night for a reasonable price and drank loads of greek wine.
we reccomend that if you visit zante then the noula studios is the place to stay in argassi as we will be returning there again for definate!!!
noula & spiros and family we hope to see you soon!!!
lots of love
scott, ruth, llinos, leah, stacey, louis, dawn, josh, sean & alice xxxx
oh my god, we have actually found some apartments that we will vist again.
we have just come back from the noula, and i am amazed by the friendliness and warmth that we recieved from noula, spiros, and the rest of that wonderfull family.
the apartments are clean and well looked after, the pool area is also very clean, and the beers quite cheap to.
i for one cannot praise the noula enough, so why not go there and see for yourselves.
see you next year if not before noula.
love lyn and gloria x
Bit out of town along main road with no pavement so not too safe for people with kids, nice and quiet. The main road noise not noticeable but loud church bells in the morning were ! About 5 mins from the edge of town but small supermarket within 2 mins.
Very steep driveway up to appartments from road but lovely view from pool area and appartments accross the sea to the mainland.
Rooms quite small but clean ours had leaky toilet (clean water) but nothing to spoil the holiday, rooms do get hot so we hired a fan for the week. Basic kitchen as expected in greece but good supply of plates, knives etc, fridge was noisy but efficient.
Pool quite small but very clean, lots of sunbeds but rather crowded as space is limited, cheap pool bar with friendy staff.
Owner Noula very friendly - kept on getting us to join in the party nights and BBQ's her husband Spiros is quieter but equally welcoming.
All in all a good stay
hey kelly, was there is september 2002,great place, only got single beds but managed 2 push them 2gether and have funxxxxx hope you have a good hol, enjoyxxx
Going with my boyfriend at beginning of July
and just wondered if the studios have a doube
or sngle beds. If single is it possible to push
them together. Thanks.
Just got back from Argassi after two weeks at these studios with my girlfriend. We liked the place and Spiros and Noula (and their daughter who look after the pool bar in the day)make you feel welcome. The pool was lovely although cold at times due to the odd cooler day in Oct but it was really nice and Spiros spends time each night cleaning it out and looks after it well. The rooms themselves are basic but comfortable. Good view of the sea and Olympia on the mainland from the balcony. The shower is powerful but you have to hold the shower head and there is no shower curtain! My only complaints would be that the wardrobe makes your clothes smell after a while and the maid tended to just walk in without knocking (we were still asleep once!) but usually when she came round (about 10am) we were out but if you are going to have a lay in, be prepared or ask her not to do it - although she was Romanian and didn't seem to speak any English or Greek from what I could gather! All in all I would recommend this place, especially if you like a nice quiet pool with bar to relax by.
Going to Noula Studios on Monday 16th Sept - is there a fridge in the studios
We just got back from two weeks spent at Noula Studios. I cannot praise the studios enough. Noula and Spiros really are very welcoming and go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Spiros is a bit of a strong silent type, but Noula is very chatty. The studios were clean and perfectly adequate. Problems we had with the bathroom (loo didn't flush(!) and door wouldn't close!!) were recitified within a day or so. The pool, Spiros' pride and joy, was very clean and pleasant, although short of space around it and a bit crowded with the sunbeds. I wish I could be as effusive about Argassi. I'm sorry that I can't agree with those people who think Argassi is wonderful. We have two children, and Argassi is set around a very busy main road with no pavement to speak of. Thus, the family has to walk in single file along the edge of the road, cowering from the crazy Greek drivers and huge trundling lorries passing by. I can see that Argassi would appeal more to singles and young couples, as it is very loud and touristy with not much authentic "Greekness". If you're looking for fish & chips/Sunday Roast and a pub that shows British football matches, Argassi is for you. As this was not for us, we hired a car and found our own Greek adventures elsewhere on the island. Noula Studios is between 5 and 10 mins walk from the centre of Argassi, and yes, you do need to take your own bath towels (I forgot!) although they do provide one hand towel each. Hope this is information is useful! Please feel free to email me if you'd like more info.
Along the lines of Mark Green's question How long does it take to get from the centre of the town to the appartments - do you need a torch as in many Greek resorts. Also do the appartments come with enough towels, don't mind bringing my own but take up a lot of room in suitcase !
The owners were really friendly and welcoming. Although the appartments are pretty basic they are kept clean and well looked after. The area around the pool is a great place to relax, especially with the small bar being there. All in all you get a lot for not a great deal of money !
Could anyone tell me how far it is from the Noula studios to the centre of Argassi
my husband and i have just come home from the noula studios, and i would like everyone to know what a wonderful time we had there. everything was so clean the new pool was warm, and noula and spiors were very warm and friendly + all the family. i will be going to book again for oct 2002.iwould rated this holiday 10 out 10.
Noula Studios are on the edge of Argassi, some of the best eating places are up the lane opposite the church, which is right against Noula Studios. From our room we could see Zanti Town one way, Argassi the other way and mainland Greece across the sea. Noula's husband finished the beautiful swimming pool during the winter months. Noula makes you very welcome.
Looking forward to returning to Noulas for the sixth time and using the new pool which will be completed for summer 2002 . Now back in the Thomson Just brochure . See you in July .
