can't remember if it was this place, but i had the most gorgeous sea bream at a place by the crossroads! i think it was here, it began with p anyway!

Really good food and one of the cheapest meals we had. Went a couple of times and enjoyed the mixed grill spcial for only 6.50E. A useful website for discount tokens is Alykes.com as you can get free wine or discounts for quite a few tavernas in Alykes/Alykanas including this one.

Just returned from Alykes and the standard of food is great, this restaurant in particular we went there 3 times always very good.

Excellent food-have eaten here every night for 3 weeks and can't fault any meal. Number 1 place to eat suberb food. A MUST.
Lynda and Mike are the best hosts on the Island and together with Helen and June make a great team.

We ate here from our arrival on 15th September 2003 - 27th September 2003 and found the food to be excellent and authentic Greek food.

All the staff were excellent, primarily June the UK waitress was a draw for all, friendly lovely and welcoming in every way. If in Alykes, do try. In regard to the menu prices, perhaps a bit above other fast-food type restaurants, like 'The Greedy Greek',which we did not visit, but the ambience and personal service of the Ponderosa we both found to be excellent overrall and upmarket in the resort.

Found this place last year,food is excellent,staff realy good especially the english waitress,food was excelnt espacialy the stifardo

we ate here on our first night, it was ok, but never returned as there were better restaurants

we ate here on our second night but we found the service rather half hearted and when our food arrived it was a little cold. there were only four people in the whole restaurant. maybe it was a bad day but we didnt return.

This was the friendliest and most pleasant place to eat in Alikes by far. The waitresses were extremely attentive and helpful and the food was good, as was the house white! Loved the restaurant cat too!The Stifado was delicious as was the mixed grill Souvlaki. I hope they have a long and successful 2003.

I had a wonderful time and the Ponderosa was just the icing on the cake, everything about it was excellent. The staff were a big bonus, all exceedingly helpful, friendly and made you feel special. June was a major asset and a good ambassador for Gt Britain and the Greek girls Linda and Eleni were perfect in every way. Thank you for making my holiday special. GOOD LUCK FOR THE YEAR 2003.xx

This place is the best - for three year running in July we have eaten here every night well almost the first year we tried a few others. This year we met June and she was great. If anyone goes and mets bothHelen and Linda (the owner) say Rebecca says hello. We will be in Tsilivi two weeks time and are goingto visit them then. This is the best place in Alykes to eat

Great food and service, the staff always had time for you, try the house red - cheap and dynamite and no hang over, bliss!

Without doubt, me and the missus though this was the best place to eat in Alykes. The food we had was fantastic, the service was friendly and the cost was very reasonable.

This has been moved from the bar page to the restaurant page, making my previous comments a bit strange. Just to clarify, it is excellent value for money here.

This is not a bar- great place, great people, great food. June is a star- the babe vote is for you mate. The sea food platter is out of this world.

Food was absolutely gorgeous! Simple but beautifully cooked and presented. We'd also highly recommend getting a carafe of the local Verdea - gorgeous stuff and cheap too!

The Ponderosa is a Taverna rather than a bar or club where the food and drink are excellent and very reasonable priced. Highly recommended to go and try.

The Pooderosa has three rooms to stay in which are very clean and simple.The food is very good and quite cheap.I have stay there 6 times and found very good each time.
