TO SARAH WRIGHT MESSGE AUGUST 25 THE SCOOTER HIRE SHOP IS RUN BY A BROTHER OF BABIS WHO RUNS THE IGUANA BAR.IF YOU SEE MY OTHER MESSAGE IT SAYS WHAT A THIEVING ROBBING BANDIT THE ONE AT THE SCOOTER HIRE SHOP IS.ALSO I DONNOT THINK IT IS NICE TO KEEP THAT CUTE DOG AS YOU SAID ON A CHAIN TO THE KENNEL DAY AND NIGHT.I PASSED THAT DOG EACH DAY MAY 6 TO 20TH AND IT WAS VERY HOT THEN THE DOG DID NOT LOOK HAPPY ANND LOOKED QUITE DISTRESED.I HAVE 2 DOGS SO I KNOW ABOUT THES THINGS.

THIS MESSAGE IS FOR ANDY MURRAY WHO PLACED A MESSAGE SEPTEMBER 15.IF WHAT YOU SAID IS CORRECT THAT THE BROTHER OF THIS BAR OWNER ALSO HAS THE SCOOTER HIRE SHOP.I HIRED A SCOOTER FROM THEM MAY 14 2004 I HIT A POT HOLE IN THE ROAD NEAR ZANTE TOWN.I HAD TO GET MEDICAL TREAMENT TO ONE LEG AS IT WAS BAD CUT FROM COMING OFF THE SCOOTER.WHEN I TOOK THE SCOOTER BACK HE WAS NOT BOTHERED THAT I WAS INJURED ONLY DEMANDING 100 EURO FOR A COUPLE OF SCRATCHES ON THE SIDE OF THE SCOOTER.I AM NOT A TEENAGER I AM 50 SO I DO NOT RACE AROUND ON THE SCOOTER.THE OWNERS OF THE APARTMENTS I WAS IN WANTED TO TELL HIM WHAT A THIEF HE IS.AS THEY SAID IT WOULD NOT COST ANYTHING LIKE THAT TO REPAIR THE FEW SCRATCHES.HE ALSO CANNOT SPEAK ANY ENGLISH SO HE SHOULD LEARN SOME SO HE CAN RIP US OFF MORE.I AM WARNING ANYONE GETTING A SCOOTER FROM HERE BE CAREFUL OR THIS BANDIT WILL ROB YOU.

A really fun place to go. Harris, the owner, had just opened the bar in 2004 and I can see nothing but success for him. The bar staff are all really friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is good and very easy on the wallet.

Speros (the barman) makes a fantastic cocktail, and girls......he is avaiable!!!!!

I went there everynight in my holiday and it was great. going back next summer to work there. Harris and Speros are a laugh a minute.

harris was brill and are kids loved him and spiros too, food is fab and cheap, they were so friendly and welcoming.
the films were top every night, new ones just released, we went every day even just to say hello and are staying in harris's villa next august
they are great next to the beach.

This bar is run by Babis and his brother runs the moped and supermarket next door, the oldest brother Tassos and his wife Maria run the Escape Bar/Restraunt. Congrats to Maria on the birth of her son Denis. So a good family background, the food is good and the staff very friendly but watch out for the flying ice cubes from Spiros. We went twice this year (2004) June and August and it was the best place and it sold draft John Smith's!
Good place to stop between the main road and the beech, didn't manage to get to the beech most days!

As others have said, this is an excellent bar. If you are staying at The Venus or The Exotica it is in an ideal spot for you.

The food is so cheap and really tasty. While we were at Zante the Olympics were on so you could have a nice cold beer and sit and watch one of the 4 screens, and when the football is on they show them too. If nothing else is on they show all the latest films.

The service is excellent and cheery and I would definatley recomend this place.

THE LOCATION IS PERFECT, IN THE CENTRE OF THE BEACH & THE MAIN ROAD
OF KALAMAKI, WITH A VIEW TO DIE FOR.
THE SERVICE IS WONDERFUL, WE WERE ALWAYS SERVED BY THIS GUY WHO
WOULD RUSH TO YOUR TABLE ON ARRIVAL, GREET YOU & TAKE YOUR ORDER.
THEN YOU DID'NT HAVE TO WAIT LONG FOR DELICIOUS MEALS, SNACKS &
COCKTAILS! (MILKSHAKE BEST I TASTED ALL HOLIDAY)
ENTERTAINMENT IS TOP NOTCH, WE WENT TO SEE A FEW FILMS ON THE GIANT SCREENS & TO WATCH SOME OF THE OLYMPICS WHICH HAD STARTED WHEN WE WERE IN ZANTE.
YOU CAN GO TO IGUANA ANY TIME OF DAY & IT IS ALWAYS GREAT. THINK
IT IS A FAMILY THAT OWN IGUANA, THE SCOOTER RENTAL PLACE & SUPER-
MARKET ON THE SAME BLOCK & THEY HAVE A CUTE DOG IN A LITTLE KENNEL
ACROSS THE ROAD!

WELL WORTH A VISIT OR TWO!!

we went in the iguana bar the first night,and every night after that,the food was excellent and cheap,the service was fantastic and always served with a smile,we enjoyed the films and the olympics was on while we were there.they have pool tables in the bar for the children to play on,while the adults enjoy the breath taking view of the mountains,hopr anyone who goes gives it a try,get a chicken gyros pitta,there fantastic,have fun......

Onlt just opened but Harris is doing well. Enjoyed the banter and beer here. The kids plaed pool and watched the latest films here.

Hi we came to iguana on our first night in kalamki the food was excellent. so was the waiter and the rest of the staff. we ate in this restuarant bar 4 times and each time the food was brilliant very highly recommended

This bar made our holiday! The food was good and so cheap, it was only down the road from our apartments and newly opened. They played all the Euro 2004 matches and served a good variety of drinks. More to the point tho, the barman and owner were both lovely and will probably be what we will miss about Kalamaki the most. Highly recommended!

Anyone know where this bar is? as its new :)
