So would the general advice be then to take stirling traveller cheques, or cash and stay clear of euro travveler cheques. Do you loose out a lot by using the cash machines there? Going in 3 weeks you see for the first time and starting to get stressed over the money situation!
I really fancy the idea of visiting the reptile house which will be in 3 weeks time. Will it be open then and is it easy to find within Laganus?
Where abouts is Jamuna please? What shop/bar is it near? Thank you :0)
Just wondering where abouts is Tazs Fastfood please? What is it near? Thanks
Such a large menu to choose from! Plenty of dishes to suit everyone. We had The Main One Platter which was excellent. The best ribs I have ever tasted. They were cooked to perfection and the meat just fell off the bone.
Such a lovely place with great views over Kalamaki. Worth a visit in the day, but also at night to get the best views. Lovely cocktail menu too. The buggy ride up to it was great fun too!
Stayed here last week - lovely place. We stayed in a self catering room for 2. Quite basic but more than adequate for us two. Didnt really do any cooking as food and drink so cheap!
Tasty mousaka! Lovely cheap house wine too. The service was excellent - the waiters knew when to talk to you and when to leave you alone, and cheekily kept filling our glasses with wine. Excellent!
We came here for breakfast 3 times, it was that lovely. The morning waiter was so friendly and helpful - there were certain things we didnt like in the breakfast so he omitted them and gave us extra other tasty things. Nice relaxed environment too. Loved the cooked English breakfast. Didnt have time to come here for an evening meal unfortunately.
Had a tasty carbonara here which was a good price, but the wine was expensive though! Good service however.
Quick snacks at a great price. Loved the chicken gyros pitta things - very tasty and cheap!
Such a lovely place!
Such a great and lively place! The bar staff are crazy!! They have theme nights too and they all dress up. One even breaths fire if you ask him nicely! Had too many sambucas one night though - they fill your glass up very generously you could say Huge cocktail menu too! Great place!
Cheap drinks and plenty of cocktails to choose from. Got a couple of vouchers for free shots from them too. Excellent.
Went to the reptile house and loved it. The woman knew her stuff and was so friendly. Wasnt able to hold the spider though due to its hairs, but held plenty of snakes and lizards, even a large iguana! Got some great pics! Thank you!
Went on a half day boat cruise round the caves and the sea was so calm. Went with Smileys Tours and our tour guide was great! Had a swim stop at the Caves, but as it was a bit cloudy the sea looked a little too cold for me. Great fun day out!
Went there via a public bus from Kalamaki - quick journey. It was nice to be out in the traditional town and away from the tourist bits. Climbed up a hill and got some great views. Had a look at the harbour and got more great pics. Once looked round the same old shops not much left to do however.
Booked to go horse riding through Smileys Tours in Kalamaki and loved it. A woman picked us up and took us to Tsvilli and we had an hour on the horses. We went through some orchards and up a big hill and got some lovely views. The horses were good natured and well looked after too. Excellent fun, although I think I sat on the horse wrongly as I felt sore for a couple of days afterwards.
Just came back from Kalamaki and we both took £50 worth of Euros in change, and used the cash point there after that. No danager of loosing your money and if you use Nationwide you dont get charged!
Found it!
This sounds like brilliant fun! Where abouts/who through did you book the jeep safari with and how much was it? Is it just as good towards the end of May? Thanks people
Im slightly confused - is there more than one jeep safari on Zante? Are the Jeep Safari and Zakfari two seperate things or the same? If seperate, which one would you recommend and why?
Im just wondering, how do you go about booking the greek night trip to Kambi? Im staying in Kalamaki in May and if its through one of the tour shops which one would you recommend booking it with please? Thanks :0)
Who shall I book a glass bottomed boat trip with in Kalamaki? Last year I went with Smiles Tours and it wasnt glass bottomed! Thanks
From what I have read its best to book this trip through Pelargos Tours. Is it worth it though? My boyfriend really wants to see the caves you see... Is the ferry ride any fun or a nightmare? Also, do you know how much extra you have to pay for the caves etc? Thanks
