Location: About 3km southeast of Zakynthos town

Getting There: Take the main road towards Vassilikos and you can't miss it

Access: Several access points, the one next to the Kamara Beach Hotel has no steps

Sunbeds: Yes and many of the beachside bars provide sunbeds free of charge

Showers: Yes

Toilets: In the beachside bars and restaurants

Watersports: Yes

Safe for Kids: Yes, the water remains shallow for quite a long way out

Food & Drinks: Plenty of beachside bars and restaurants

Turtles: No

Seaweed: In places but easily avoided

Sand or Pebbles: A mixture of sand and gravel, better in some places than others

Car Parking: Not much next to the beach but you can usually park on the main road which is only about 50m away

Argassi Beach  (138 Comments) Often criticised, mainly because in many places there is no beach! At least the water is shallow with a sandy bottom making it good for bathing.

Crystal Beach - Kalamaki 4.1

Kalamaki Beach  (209 Comments) 4.1    Probably the best place to actually see a turtle. Just wade about in the shallow water and if they are about you will soon spot one.

Kaminia Beach - Vassilikos  (6 Comments) 4.1    A beautiful location and not over commercialised. It's a perfect stop-off place and within walking distance of Argassi if you're feeling fit!

Kryoneri Beach - Zante  (2 Comments)

Porto Zoro Beach - Vassilikos  (28 Comments) Exotic looking beach with fine sand and good facilities. There are plenty of small fish to see if you go snorkelling at the rocky end of the beach.
