Location: About 2km east of the main resort of Alykanas

Getting There: It's fairly easy to walk here from Alykanas or Alykes. Just follow the small roads around the coast.

Access: A few steps down from the road

Sunbeds: Yes

Toilets: There is a Taverna nearby

Watersports: No

Safe for Kids: Yes the water is shallow

Food & Drinks: From the local Taverna

Turtles: No

Seaweed: In some areas where it is rocky, but easy to avoid

Sand or Pebbles: Sand

Car Parking: Not many places to park but it's usually quiet if you avoid Sundays and Bank Holidays

Beaches near to Old Alykanas Beach:

Alykanas Beach  (150 Comments) A big sandy beach which rarely gets crowded despite new tourist developments nearby. Plenty of tourist facilities nearby without feeling overly commercialised.

Alykes Beach  (54 Comments) Fairly narrow in places, but quite a long beach so it only gets crowded close to the resort centre.

Amoudi Beach  (11 Comments) A very quiet area with small sandy beaches. Easy to get to if you are staying nearby in Alykes or Alykanas.

Drosia Beach - Zante  (1 Comment)

Old Alykanas Beach  (12 Comments) A beautiful series of small beaches and all within easy walking distance of the nearby resort of Alykanas.

Pachiammos Beach - Kypseli  (1 Comment)

Psarou Beach - Amoudi  (3 Comments) No big hotels in this area. A series of small beaches which are usually very quiet except in July or August
