just spent two weeks in zante at planos apartments , loved stamnes excellent steaks and chicken dishes , loved the breakfasts too and enjoyed greek night , good chef in pla/rte/smile.gifce , thanks to all there

Much better than last year and back to normal standards

   I can't understand how anyone can fail to give Stamnes a good review. The food ,particularly the drunken chicken  and the mixed grill are fantastic,although I couldn't quite clear my plate of the mixed grill, ther really was a plateful. All the meals are excellent, and the prices very reasonable. The staff are all really friendly and helpful paricularly the English girls, Emma,Diane and Holly. Don't take any notice of the negative reviews, I can't imagine what more can anyone can want - The Ritz??? Be advised,go early in your holiday and I'm sure you'll be back

I get the feeling that Gary has a little vendetta for Stamnes.Travelled to many Greek Islands and this is by far the best food we have ever had.I guess some people are just too hard to please.Fantastic food and great people..Thanks Stamnes for letting me gain many pounds with your wonderful food.Greek night well worth a visit.Yes a little more expensive than your normal dinner,maybe 5 euros.But as they say you get what you pay for and its was so worth it.

Visited Stamnes often during my stay recently, as always I was treated really well by the staff and they could not do enough for me.  They are always friendly which is why I always return year after year.  The food is always good and I can say that in 4 years I have never had a bad meal here.  I love the lamb kleftiko, drunk chicken and Zakynthian beef.  I made the mistake of ordering a starter but you get so much that I couldn't finish my meal.  This restaurant is definitely one of the best in Tsilivi.

  i thought the food here was rubbish for greek standards.it was cold and tasteless and i usually love nearly all greek food.a horse and cart stopped outside and the horse managed to empty its bowels right in front of us.the menu looks great outside but do not judge a book by its cover

Hello to all the staff at stamnes especially Emma. We visited stamnes quite a few times for lunch and then again for our evening meal. I would definately recomend the stuffed tomatoes and peppers and then you have to try the hot chocolate cake....its delicious!!

Very good food and friendly service from all. Try the Specials here as they tend to be cooking all day.

We stayed at planos bay which is opposite this lovely greek taverna this was very handy for  us at lunch time the menu has a great selection and the staff are VERY freindly. the lady called emma who works in the day time was FANTASTIC nothing was to much trouble for her. the food is also very nice in here.

we just got back from zante 20/07/08 we had some really good meals at stamnes

lovely meal here this September. We went from recommendations from the website and were not dissapointed.

First time we eat here , I was okay about my meal but hubby loved his, went back another night and I enjoyed my meal, hubby did not enjoy his.

Just gos to show that we are all different in what we like

the food is absolutely lovely and the staff are great ,if you have the english breakfast say hello to EMMA from sheila and jim . the kleftico is lovely. it is not chips with everything you only have to ask and you can choose greek roast potato`s the grandmothers lamb is woderful the lamb just melts in your mouth , i am addicted to cabernara and i had that a couple of times it was lovely try the stuffed peppers or tomatoes for a starter or vine leaves yummy . we had a lot of fried squid as our grandchildren love it

Bloke outside is bonkers! As with so many of these restruants, try the specials> we had Grandfathers Beef and firemans Chicken and both were fantastic. First time we found this place and ate there twice. Great.

Crazy guy called Bossman that runs the show but him and his staff provide great customer service.  Greek Wardy was really professional and the apparently 'Quiet Man' of the waiting team seemed to come out of his shell and was really friendly.

 Ate here 3 times & each time the food & service was excellent.  Starters where pretty filling so we decided against them on our 2nd & 3rd visit. Kids meals where just the right size, not too hot & delicious. Drinks where reasonably priced too. Made to feel very welcome. Would definately advise you to try it!!

top class tavena opposite planos bay apart hotel,well worth a visit

The Kleftico in a pot was delicious, shame about the chips they put in the bottom.  The meat dishes were great, but would have preferred greek tatties and fresh veg rather than chips and red cabbage??!!!

Prawn cocktail was wonderful. Beef Stifado was spoilt by the inclusion of chips but otherwise very good. Apple Pie very good. House wine good. Staff friendly. English breakfast excellent.
