Sofias Pool Bar

i find it really hard to beleive that all of the good comments that are below are from different people such as mark james rob sunshine and what ever poor person spoke highly of this tip if you go to all comments made by mark you will see that ONE person has wrote all this not how many ever it says ..we know its the manager nick how sad must you be to try and make good comments for your own hotel. loser

Just calling to say hi to everyone that visited Sofias during summer 04 and a message to those that have not got anything better to do than write bad comments about Sofia's. Dont they have better things to do?
I like Mark was working at Sofia's from June till the end of August. There is no such thing as described in the message below going on. All bar staff were involved in all jobs described and we all stocked up and prepared for the evening shift. There is no such thing.

Sofia's is a business that has been in Kalamaki for years. Knowing how legit the management operates this business i am pretty sure they would think about dealing with situations of the kind very carefuly before doing such thing.

As i lived in the area for a while i gathered that any business which does good like Sofia's, the local competition and not only likes to try and spread bad roumors around for the simple and obvious jelousy reasons.

Keep it up there Sofia's and don't worry as no one is able to affect you no matter what. James, hope to see you soon.

Well my name is Mark and i worked at Sofias during the first three months of their season and i never came across at anything like what is mentioned in one of the below messages. To be completely aunest i did alot of the praperation mentioned (milk, stock etc). There is no way i wouldn't of known anything about this if it was happening.

As for my boss Nick he is strict but certainly knows why and what he is doing and i was never miss treated.
I suggest to these silly and jelous people that post these comments to get a life cause at the end of the day jelousy is what causes these bad comments even if what was sais was true.

we like sofias, we really do, great quiz and nice breakfasts, nice staff and a good atmosphere, but with regard to the last comment i have to say, the tia maria did'nt taste like the tia maria i'm used to

This has got to be one of the best bars in Kalamaki. Defenetly recommend this to anyone. The design is fantastic and the staff are great and so friendly. We hope to be back soon guys. Hi to everyone and kisses from Jenny (the loud one)

Funny enough the worst thing was that we accedently ended up in this resort which we thought was going to be an auwful holiday. Thanks to Sofia's staff and management we had such a great time. We were two days into our holiday when we were walking by this place and thought we'd have a drink in this bar. Well what can i say other than the fact that we have been comming to Zante for the last seven years and have stayed in nearly every resort of the island (Argasi, Tsilivi, Lagana, etc but the we never found any friendly as staff or such a beatiful bar before.These guys have done a great job. This bar would be described more as an attraction then a bar.
Visit this venue and you shall see for yourself. Defenetly a must of Kalamaki and anyone interested in sports.
Thanks to the boys behind the bar for a lovely time and the friendly owners/management.

We found this on the day it poured down with rain, food was good, internet access was also reasonably priced.

Happy new year guys, Woody, Jimmy, Scott. How is your winter, how are yous doing, are you going to be at Sofia's summer 2004? I hope so as we have already booked to come back in June for two weeks, and we are so looking forward to being there again.

As for the occasion comments i read on the Sofia's message board concerning Sofia's staff and the Management well i have been working in the Hospitality Industry for nearly 18 years now. My self and my wife are both Irish. What we have to say is that the Management and staff of Sofia's know excactly how to show their professionalism, especially when we are talking about the young chap which runs the bar which in hes case knows excactly how to do hes job. Being an owner as well though is not liked by some.

I stayed at Sofias from aug2nd to aug17th and i must say it was brilliant got on very well with the lads and thought they were brilliant craic, me and my friends even thought them some tipperary sayings (tanks, you langer,you ram)Ram i thought suited woody best but to be honest i cant see what all the fuss is about so what if the lads slept with half of you im sure you felt special when you were with them I for one did not sleep with any of them b4 some1 jumps ahead.. but in fairness they were only having the laugh the same way you were... Ihad a brilliant time with the lads i went with my boyfriend and some of our friends and couldnt of had a better time anywhere else. and if woody is reading this you never did get me into the pool ha ha ha oh yea and then there was Jess the singer brilliant fun. I really had a BRILLIANT time and would go back in the morning if i got the chance as long as the toilets dont smell UH!

i worked in kalamaki for just over 4 months this summer. met the staff in oceans a couple of times and they were right charmers, all in all good lads though. i'm sure the bar is fantastic and the guys all work really hard for s**te money but... if anyone knows anything about the owner then they'd do well to spend their money elsewhere. congrats to the staff who endured him for so long over the summer, boys did good.

yeah i was with an irish group..there was a lot of us. i dont think i know who any of you's are apart from jen barber and her friend unless you were irish, because really we only met other irish people. i agree about the looking like nadine comment, i thought that myself. i think it was her who was with jimmy and the other with woody, and they are telling the truth, they left with them a load of nights, so unless they were just going for a little walk.... :P and im not really grumpy...just every1 had a thing bout me never smiling so i was nicknamed grumpy...

Just back a week now and what can i say only what a nice place Sofia's is!!Highly recommend going there !Staff are so friendly and nice to look at too!!Had lots of fun espically our last nite with woody(the Irish man), scottie (the hottie)and Jimmy.. All the fun we had Belly rolling comp(whick i won you might remember me by that!)and large tongue been photographed(you will no what im on about!)What a great holiday !! EVERYONE SHOULD GO THERE FORGET THE REST !!Keep up the good work you guys oh Scottie ill look after you if your on my plane??

I just got back from Zante this morning and Sofia's bar was well good!
The 3 guys who were serving on the nights were all really fit especially the 1 with the darkest hair (think he was called Joe)
They have great accents aswell....Auzzie's! Real friendly 2!
Recommend it to ne1 coz they put great films on!

me and tina would just like to apoligise if we have caused offence to anyone as we didn't mean to. just like to say that we arn't being b***hy about all the girls that have pulled jimmy and woody we are just trying to find out all the gossip, good on you all!
sofias is a really nice bar, probably the nicest in kalamaki. the bar staff were really friendly and i think that even if the bar staff weren't any good to look at we would have still gone in there.
just wondering who danni is and if we might remember you from when we were on holiday, wondering the same about bobby davis.
also who is k, not sure if we might know who you are.

Yeah its a lovely place. And the staff do really make it what it is. Good luck getting barmen as good as them for next summer!

Had a last drink here many nights walking home. The tv section had nice soft chairs as it did rain last week of july and first week of august.But on clear nights there are plenty of chairs around the pool. If your looking for decent clubs try the next resort it does'nt cost much in a taxi as this was one of the view bars to be livley after 1.00am. People dressed casual at night ( you know flat shoes ect) but not in this place girls glammed up and on the pull! shame you have to get some poor lad pissed hey girls! On average people seemed had a good laugh here ( mainly spying on the grils trying desperatly to chat up the bar staff).

1. if you hadn't realised, this website is for people to give comments on places they've been to, to inform the rest of the world how good/bad it is. not for little jumped~up wannabes who want to pass on boys phone numbers (or in your case the lack of).
