Vastly over-rated. The setting suggests a really nice garden retaurant and the lighting is quite romantic. Although the food was good, it was expensive for what it was and the service was absolutely diabolical. Just about everyone in the restaurant looked fed up and no wonder. The staff tried hard but there was far too few of them. Here is another tip.....take a cushion to sit on!! The tables are about 100mm too high for comfortable eating. Some of the cutlery was dirty and it even rained at the end of the meal!! When the food did arrive it was good but the wait was awful and they even over charged us. Give it a miss, there's loads to choose from.

Probably our best meal of the week. Lovely garden settings, and atmosphere. Our most expensive meal of the week, but a bit more classy and up-market so worth the price. Food was delicious!

The food was fantastic, good value and the place is in a beautiful setting. The service is slow but when you can attract the waiters attention they are only too pleased to assist - however rushed off there feet they are. some places we went to the service was slow as the waiters were evedently lazy but not here. just sit back and soak up the atmosphere - and enjoy your meal

Have pate as a starter, it's melt in the mouth delicious. Service can be slow, but it gives you the chance to savour the evening. The "strange curly things" the waiters light are mozzie killers-to ensure you aren't chewed whilst enjoying your meal!

Zakanoh looks very nice from the outside, however appearances are deceiving. While the food could not be faulted the service was appalling. We spent more time trying to get the waiters attention than actually eating. We were sat toward the back of the garden and they seemed to have a bizarre lighting ritual. Four different waiters stopped by to light an Incense, metal bird box, a candle and some strange curly thing. We asked four different waiters for the bill and finally got it after half an hour and having to actually walk up to one to get him to bring it. We think they were waiting for us to order more alcohol or food. Avoid this one if you want to do something else later in the evening.

Lovely restaurant but plan to be there all evening as the service can be a bit patchy.
