Wonderful restaurant!..ate here quite a lot in our 2 week stay. Can't fault the food!...Check it out!!

 Great place - good food nice people lovely setting. Loved all the lamb dishes. Great veggie meze. House wine good (some places it was terrible!) - went several times last year and 2010 and will be going back

after reading all the comments just had to try this restaurant, and yes there right it is a little gem, the menu is extensive, even found my stuffed auborgines,which i havent found since sugar reef shut, and which were delicious. my husband and i had a very enjoyable meal and experience here and will definately return the staff are wonderful, very attentive.

Just back from 10 days at the Venus Hotel. This was our third visit to the hotel and our favourite restaurant is the Escape which is just a couple of minutes down the road, opposite the hotel. Maria and the rest of her staff are always very welcoming. The restaurant is very charming and authentic and the food is out of this world. The menu choice is huge and every meal is delicious. We like to try the greek dishes and they explain what they are ie Bekri Meze which is yummy!! My husband Iain actually ordered his Beef Stifado before we arrived!!! Romantic for couples but still great for families. Miss you all already. We hope to be back soon. Maria hope all goes well in September. Will hear from you soon. Fiona and Iain Sutherland

 We (myself, 3 kids mom in law and this year hubby and pa in law) have been to zante 3 years consec and have booked again for 2011, the only place I would highly recommend to eat is 'Escape' Maria and the rest of the staff cannot do more to make your meal a pleasurable experience - my three kids adore going there it's there favourite place too. All meals come in kids portion size if you ask and we have never ever had a bad meal there, in fact the worst thing is having to choose which you're going to have as all the greek dishes are excellent. Out of a 11 night holiday we tried 1 other restaurant in the old town and had the worst meal ever that cost a lot more too!! apart from my daughters sausage and mash which was very nice, obviously an English restaurant trying to sell greek food and failing miserably.

Ordered pasta with garlic .Iasked how it came the waitress said it came in oil.Sounded ok but when it came the pasta had gone cold and the garlic was raw.Also forgot to bring my husbands starter.RUBBISH.

Just got back after 2 weeks at the Exotica so Escape was a 2 minute walk away but to be honest I'd have happily walked a lot further.

What a TERRIFIC liitle greek taverna. Pretty looking venue, excellent staff, good menu and most importantly affordable, top quality, tasty food. We ate here at least 5 times and were never let down, always leaving happy and replete !! My daughter Katie's Favourite restaurant. Maria and the staff are VERY accomodating and as my two Kids like to try the "real" greek food, they'll happily do a child size portion of the vast majority of dishes. Trust me, if you like authentic, greek food DON'T let Escape escape you, its a proper little gem.

Just got back from 2 weeks in Kalamaki ate here the most times simply because its the best food and service in Kalamaki in our humble opinion.  The stuffed vine leaves are second to none the swordfish is excellent and my husband said it was the finiest fillet steak he had tasted in ages. Thanks for everything Maria especially the Pain Gone stick you kindly let me borrow

Well another holiday over

We are frequent visitors to Kalamaki and my family and I have dined at Escape many times, in fact we visited it the very first night it opened.  Everything about it is superb - the location the quality of the food, the prompt service and particularly the friendliness of Maria and the rest of the staff.  By far our favourite eating place in Kalamaki.  We are looking forward to many more happy visits there.

WE  ARE GREAT FANS OF THIS RESTURANT AND GO THERE WHEN EVER WE GO TO KALAMAKI.THIS YEAR WAS NO EXCEPTION,MARIA & ALL HER STAFF ALWAYS GIVE US A WARM WELCOME AND THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GREAT ,GOOD VALUE ALSO.SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR.

Had a wonderful meal here and the staff very friendly.  The down side we thought the portions were very small compared to other restaurants.  Back home now. 

Me and my wife have been coming to Kalimaki for 5 years now, and this is our favourite restaurant. Having grown up in pubs and restaurants I can say with confidence that the menu, service, atmosphere and professionalism of this family run establishment is absolutely second to none.

We are going back to kalimaki for the sixth time this sunday, and after mythos and sunshine, when the sun goes down and we're hungry, this is where we're heading.

Damn, my mouths watering just thinking about it.

ESCAPE, visited this establishment on various occasions between the 25th May 2008 and the 1st June 2008.  Maria and Tassos were fantastic, food is top notch and so were the conversations we all had.  I proposed to my long time girlfriend on this holiday and will remember this place forever.

  This is the most fantastic restaurant in Kalamaki.  My Husband and I visited there 6 years ago, when we were on our Honeymoon - it was so great to see Maria and the guys still there, and still a great restaurant with fabulous food, and wonderful staff.  Thanks Maria for everything!  Hope you have a wonderful season.  See you next year!

Will be returning to Kalamaki 29th May for 2 weeks of pure enjoyment which will commence at this restuarant. Unbelivable value for money,exellent meals and very entertaining hosts i.e. Maria, Dimitria & Tassos
