we are booked to stay here in august.can anyone tell me where abouts in tsilivi it is?
how far from the centre of tsivili is this water park?
which water park is the best one to visit- Tsilivi or Laganas?
arrived 6.30am went straight to room. great pool/sea view although itinery said inland. great location out of main town with pleasant walk except mid afternoon when a bit hot. beach at that end not to good but not too far to better area. staff great everywhere clean. early morning flight out so had to get out of room but showers, loos etc for changing. good chose of food and prompt service and good value. overall a great place for relaxing.
Did not eat a main meal here, but after we discovered the ice cream we did not bother with desserts ever again at other restaurants. The english guy (sorry no name) was attentive and friendly and treated us all well.
agree with all the other comments. food was excellent
booked through olympic rep but could have got it cheaper in town. didn't see ship wreck and trip to caves was extra and a watse of time. stops for coffee and lunch ok but very controlled would have been better if you had a chose of where to go
went twice in evening after meal. medium course harder than hard course!! watch prices- first time we asked for 3 adults (our daughter is 12) and one child aged 10 and had a debate over whether he was a child or not, second time we were given 2 adults and 2 children without asking!!! good fun if you're not to competetive
long walk to find it but 10 year old son was determined we were going. doesn't look much from the outside so 12 year old and dad didn't go in. mary is very informative and we held all the snakes-can't show those photos to grandma!! good for half an hour with reptiles children a bit old for fairground rides
went here as part of coach tour of island. water is clear but lots of weed and other floating debris. boat trip to caves disappointing
caught local bus 1.10 euros. not many signs to show where things are . okay for coffee. would have been better if we had known what there was to do and where it was.
what can you say? arrival okay once you've sussed which carousel is in use (both were going round with cases on!) departure not so good but on night flight so sun/heat not a problem. toilets before going though security aren't bad but once through its best to hold on!! considering the chaos it appears from the outside flights are boarded efficiently and we were off on time
whole experience very good. tickets arrived well in advance of holiday. hotel was as described in brochure. were given a pool/sea view room although itinery states inland view. still find it very annoying having to pay under occupancy supplement when the sleeps four room is occupied by 2 adults and 2 children (boy 10 and girl 12). all i can say is if four adults share they need to be VERY FRIENDLY!!! trips bookable with rep too much geared to 18-30 group and expensive compared to local companies. rep at our hotel Victoria helpful and pleasant, always there when she said she would be. transfers okay although at 3.30am i didn,t think we needed to be told that outside waiting at the airport was undercover in the shade!! flights with monarch on time. great holiday thanks
stayed at zante star about 15mins walk from the centre. main streetvery busy around popeye junction but quieter as you moved out. very spread out resort-seems to have several distinct areas based around hotels. beach not too bad but littered with cigarette butts- not nice when you're trying to build sand castles. water lovely and clear and not too deep although it gets deeper then gets shallow again. fruit salad seller on beach okay but hawkers of cds/dvds very annoying especially in the restaraunts. great chose of places to eat from all english to chinese/indian via greek thankfully. great family resort
centre of beach less stoney then southern end. showers/toilets okay. fruit seller okay but doughnuts expensive. cd/dvd hawkers very annoying. sunbeds too close to sea in some places making it difficult to walk along. water great
nearest place to our hotel. looked really nice when we went passed one night so decided to give it a go. wish we hadn't. the dish i cose was unavailable so i had another greek special- far too much salt. portion sizes were variable our 10 year old had grilled chicken and appeared to have a whole chicken on his plate, my husband had a pork fillet with half fat and if our daughters bbq pork ribs had seen a bbq well!!!
ate here first night in resort. good menu with greek food for 2 adults who like to eat local food and 2 children who don't but are encouraged to try. service slow but who cares you're on holiday. if you want it fast try macdonalds!!!! cats and kittens to entertain but no problem if you don't feed them
walked here for lunch on our last day after checking out of hotel. it's not as far as it looks and the road isn't that steep although then sound of squealing brakes and tyres can be a little alarming. food okay and no more expensive than elsewhere waiter attentive and like there motorsport so was good for car mad 10 year old. Views over tsilivi and kefalonika great if a little windy the day we were there
didn't stay here but ate at the olive garden restaraunt twice- the only place we went to more then once. we had to walk passed every night to get to the village from our hotel and the host recognised us every time! food was lovely and just the right amount. look out for flyers for free wine-red's the best.
food -good
