This is a first class bar that serve excellent food, We would like to thank nicko, lynne, & sikis for their kindness & making us very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. sikis who served us with our meals & made those lovely shots, was very friendly & it was a pleasure talking to him.we would advise anyone going to laganas to find the river bar & not miss out. we had most of our meals there & everyone was top class. when we go back to laganas the river bar will be our first port of call,

hi claudia
Well what can I say! This place is excellent if you're looking for a proper Engligh breakfast. The music is good (they actually play songs that you know the words to!) and they cater for children brilliantly. Our son (17 months) was spoilt rotten by Dot and the facitilies for children are fantastic. It's the only place we found with a clean new highchair with harnesses for our son to sit in. This place was our only regret about going home. Zante on the whole is ok, but the River bar was certainly our saviour. Spot on. Thank you. Lou, Chris & Jack. xxx.
This is a small bar/Cafe located (unfairly) next to what the locals call the smelly river, at the end of Laganas and the start of Kalamaki. It is run by Niko and Lyn and a waitress called Dot, Lyn does the most wonderful english breakfast (and lots of other meals) Niko looks like a sour greek man but he is really a big softy who can't do enough for you. Dot is a Scottish lady who has lived on the Island with her husband, Who also works in Laganas, for a few years now and is very knowledgable about the island, she knows the best places to visit, shop, eat and drink. What she doesn't know she'll find out for you, her daughter is a guide for Zante horse riding just up the road, Kirsty took my wife and I riding a couple of times and looked after us wonderfully. We drove to Laganas every day just because of them.
