Dionysis and Tonia Studios

hey everyone,

me and 3 mates went to zante in sept 2005 for 1 week, we stayed in these apartments. at first we wern't sure but 1 day/night into our holiday we loved it! kitchen area very basic but we are 4 19 year old girls.....what would we wanna toaster/kettle for!? bed area very spacious and bathroom acceptable. very clean, maids came in about 3 times when we were there. pool area is lovely, i cant see how people can say its small! we came home on many occassions very drunk and managed not to fall in! bar area very nice, we had breakfast here every morning-the brothers are really nice too. to be honest we wern't there very much as all day we were at the beach and all night we were in kalamaki town or laganas but on a whole these apartments are lovely, i would definatly reccommend them to anyone  xx ps that photo is the view from our balcony.....

Hiya Claire I'm not joking I have stayed in places with smaller pool areas.  I have been to Greece 10 times and would say the smallest one had to be in Kos.  That doesn't put us off tho, in fact we're going back to the same apts in Kos in September cos its such a fabulous place.  The smaller apt complexes seem to have smaller pool areas in my experience but I prefer it like that.  Sorry you had such a horrible time but everybody likes something different and these apts defo weren't for you.  Hope you enjoyed your holiday tho. Lol!

aye rite linda!!! there wer ants EVRYWHERE. Where r u used 2 stayin in greece if u hav seen worse in ur time coz these r defo the worst iv seen? And y have these apartments gt 8 outa 10 and not 1 outa 10???!!!! PATHETIC. Luv yas x

Stayed in these apartments in May and had an absolutely fab time.  The brothers, Yannis, Spiros and Denis were brilliant fun - couldn't do enough for you.  Spent many a late night in this bar and one night worked out we should have been charged 45 euros but were only charged about 20 euros.  Yannis is nuts and defo made our holiday!!  I have to agree with Jet about the safety deposit boxes - you pay for the time you're there and don't get any money back at the end. Didn't think the pool area was small at all - compared to some places i've stayed in greece. Food was excellent, drink was excellent - in fact couldn't fault the apartments or bar at all. We stayed in a ground floor apartment and fortunately didn't see any ants but that could happen anywhere.  Would definitely go back.

Stayed here for 2 wks in July - some useful advice - DO NOT BOOK UP HERE!! The 3 brothers who own these apartments r off their heads (not in a good way tho!) I got chasd up the stairs 2 my apartment while the specky 1 shoutd and swore at me in Greek!! On a good note tho, the cleaners were friendly and good at their job. Rooms get infested with ants and in ur pants (no joke!). Dont come bak pissed coz u wil most certainly wok straight in2 the swimin pool coz the place is soooooo small.Wud never stay here agen but wud recommend the Cronulla Hotel on the main road.

brothers were horrible. rip you off. never ever go back again. DO NOT hire a safety deposit box, they cost 30 euros 4 2 weeks. they say it is only a deposit so then at the end ov ur stay wen u go 2 get ur 30 euros back, they say they do not understand what you are saying! con men. NO KETTLE, NO TOASTER, NO TIN OPENER........ no nothing basically! THE SHOWER IS A HAND SHOWER, water very cold. DO NOT STAY IN DIONISIS OR TONIA APARTMENTS! i was there 07/07/05 - 21/07/05.

 Well here we are back home and its 25 degrees colder and piddleing it down, now I know why I should have lost the passports, still........... Once again Pappy, Spiros, Dennis & lets not forget Yiannis (oh Ok lets  ) have made our holiday along with Ted, Esther, Ronnie, Gill, Steve, Julie, Alan, Carol, JIMBO, Pete(scally), Anne Marie, Trudie, Steve, Barry, Kate, Sue, Irene, Caz, Ian (a different pair)and of course Paul and Chris. We have laughed 'til we cried, watched kids come of age! (just ask scally who when he went could not go near water but in 2 weeks was Scuba diving  in the pool) We have been sober , p****d , drank anything and everything, ate anything and everything and still came home with money in our pockets  What can we say of these apartments that hasn't been already said, nothing I doubt, what a place, even the cleaners make you feel welcome (2 of which are the wives of Dennis & Spiros), see you all next year for Pauls BIG FIVE O on the 30th June,

We were at first worried as we hadn't heard much about the apartments before going to Zante. However we were not disappointed at all.  the apartments were very tidy and there was nothing to moan about except the chicken in a nearby field that woke us most mornings, but hopefully thats been eaten now.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in October and used to the old strip of Kalamaki and I think this was the futher apartments from it but walking back probably helped dilute some of the Mythos before sleep kicked in.
Pool was clean, beer was o.k, brothers could be nice or blank you depending on their moods?
Only heard noise 1 night as usually didn't get in untill late.
I'd rather not stay here again.

Me n my m8 Rachael n her family stayed here n had soooooo much fun we're coming back next year so look out for us!!!! Oh yeah n incase u dnt memba us we're da ones dat were jumpin in da pool n going in early 2 get ready n den coming back really l8 4 bed!!!!!! STAYED IN TONIA NOT VERY PRIVATE OVERLOOKING ANOTHER POOL BAR CAN BE VERY NOISY DAY AND NIGHT NO PRIVACY AND CAN BE VERY SMELLY.
VERY VERY BASIC BUT CLEAN (SHOCK AT FIRST)
POOL AREA AND BAR VERY GOOD AND CLEAN
DID NOT FIND BROTHERS VERY FRIENDLY (THEY ARE IF YOU STAY AROUND AND PURCHASE FROM THEM)
BUT ALL IN ALL WE HAD A VERY GOOD HOLIDAY.

Lovely apts situated just of the Kaamaki beach and a 5minute stroll to the beach.

2 apt blocks (20 or so apts each)one the Dionysis and the other the Tonia sharing a pool and bar area (constantly showing football).

We were in the Tonia.

Apts were large and clean with basic kitchen equipment.
However it backed onto another apts pool bar which was a little noisy sometimes at night. You probably wouldn't hear anything if you were in the Dionysis on the other side.

The above is just for info all in all we had a wonderful stay.

Flying over on the 30th myself, hope the weather holds out.

apartments are basic but arent they all in greece, they could have been a bit cleaner but thats my only moan! bed linen changed once a week and towels changed twice, safety deposit boxes and fans available to hire! pool bar was nice enough and the three brothers that run the place were really friendly guys! set in a quiet location just off the main kalamaki road, only noise we heard was the cockeral giving his early morning wake up call!

I'm looking for info on whereabouts in Kalamaki these apartments are.
I've been to Kalamaki 5 times but I've never found this place, probably due to the Mythos of something. Is it anywhere near The Carvo d'oro on the main strip of Kalamaki?

LOVELY RESTAURANTS & BARS. SUPER DENISE (FAVE SUPERMARKET) SELLS
EVERYTHING YOU NEED!
THE POOL IS GREAT, WITH THE POOL BAR HANDY FOR DELICIOUS SNACKS &
DRINKS. FILMS & FOOTBALL ON BIG SCREENS EVERY NIGHT.

HIGHLY RECOMMENED!!!

Just booked up to stay at the Dionysis Apartments later this month. After reading the comments about the studios I'm really excited about going, however, I can't find any pics of the accomodation if anyone can help then a big thank you!

I have returned from D&T earlier today. Yiannis, Spiros & Dennis were absolutely great ( and the Dad!). I have many photo's which will be on here ASAP (tomorrow if i can wake up). My 1st time to Zante and 1st to anywhere Greek! I didnt like my aprtment for the simple reason, it was too bloody hot! I rented a fan for 25e (2 weeks - 15e for 1 week). I also rented a deposit box for 25e as well! The Pool is really nice, the area is great. Weather is amazing, best ive probly had - what a tan! The Beach and everything is on your door step really. Stayed twice here, this year we went for a month and booked our own travel, so could not stay with the 3 Brothers.We did spend a lot of days and a lot of nights with them over the month. We would always recommend them, if you want to be part of a family you have picked the right place. You will allways meet nice people there and Spiros,Dennis and Yannis (not forgeting George,Dad,) will get the pary going. One word of warning, over the last 8 years I have picked up a bit of Greek. When Yannis found out I do not swear he took great delight in teaching me to swear in Greek. Thanks Yannis very helpfull at home. See you in September when we are over for another 4 weeks

1st holiday other half didn't want to go home after 7 days. Will deffinitely return next year. Best hospitality we have ever received. Thanks to Dennis and his brothers for making our holiday that bit more special.

The Dionysis and Tonia apartments are fantastic - very clean and well maintained with thanks to Dennis, Yannis and their family! Fans can be hired behind the bar, safety deposit boxes are available in the rooms. The rooms and bins are all cleaned regulary... Dennis and Yannis made us all so welcome in the bar as did the other guests, many of who were regulars. The pool and bar are fantastic and the service and food is second to none - top place and top people - can't wait to go back again soon!

Apartments were great and really close to all the bars and shops***
Only a 5-10min walk from the beach***

Pool Bar was great and really reasonably priced.One of the best in Kalamaki***
Spiros,Dennis + Yannis the owners were great, very helpful and friendly***

Apartment has a safety deposit box and lovely pool area as well***

Would recommend *** Restaurants were great as well food in kalamaki is brilliant****

We've booked to stay at these apartments in July, can anyone describe the
location of them within Kalamaki? Are they the beach side or the airport side
of the main road? We've stopped at the Souli Apts before (near the Escape
Bar) which was a great location! Any help would be appreciated...

im off to kalamaki in just over 3 weeks and staying at dionysis and i cant wait . The only thing im a little bit worried about is food, only cos im really fussy, if anyone has any suggestions, dont hesitate to contact me .

we have just come back from dionysis, and there was certainly a safety deposit box in our room, basic but very clean and well run, the bar and pool are ace,and everyone is very friendly. Dennis was ace!!!!He likes his football!!!Lots of good places to eat, Mermaids was great they give u loads of chips. The location was good and the walk to lagana took about half to three quarters of an hour along the beach, dont walk along the road!!! its a nightmare. Beach at Kalamaki was a bit dissapointing but the pool made up for it at the apartments.Parts of the beach were ok but we were there at the very start of the season so maybe it gets cleaned up a bit when its busier. I would certainly go to Kalamaki again though would think twice about the boat trip around the island, Smugglers cove is a must tho just to see the colour of the water its sooooooo blue, so maybe the half trip would be better. We thoughrougly enjoyed it and would go again at the drop of a hat.

Hi i went to kalamaki twice last year for 2 weeks in july & 2 weeks in september and stopped at the Dionysis apartments both times. They dont have safety deposit boxes at the apartments but you can hire them from the hotel down the road if you want to, although we didnt bother as we found it safe as yannis, dennis, spiros and their parents are always about to keep an eye on things!

we have just booked for the dionysis apartments in kalamki but can find no mention of safety deposit boxes or safes available, as we have not holidayed here befor can anyone tell us if there are any available.

Very clean, basic but nice. Pool a good size, Pool bar good, the bar staff must have thought I was from Spain or something as whenever they saw me they shouted malaga or something that sounded like that not sure really! All in all a nice base to explore from good resturants on your doorstep and the beach five minutes walk away.

Excellent! Very basic accommodation but everything worked. Hot water all day, spotlessly clean, any problems (of which there were very few) were attended to immediately. Pool and bar very nice and are well managed. Food served from pool bar from 8.30 until 7.00 at night is very good and very cheap and Yannis, Dennis and Spiros are all top blokes. If Yannis reads this please thank Spiros for the eggs!

We are going in August to stay at the Dionysis & Tonia apartments with our two children (8 and 15) can you recommend any good cheap places to eat and supermarkets to shop. How do the prices compare to the UK?
How far from the beach and from Kalamaki centre also what activites are there to keep the kids occupied - night and day.

Wow - what can I say. Got back last night, even though Yannis offered for us to stay out there and work behind the bar with him for the season. Best holiday in six years! Saving up now to go back again - not that is was that expensive anyway, well the bar bills when Yannis was working could tot up! ha ha. Pool, food, apartments, staff - all excellent with no complaints. Close to loads of bars and restaurants but we used to go out for dinner and back to pool bar as it was so cheap and friendly and open till as late as you could stand! If you are in any doubt just book it and go!

Just got back from Kalamaki and had a fantastic trip. Apartment was basic but very clean, good location, nice pool and generally no grumbles. If your heading that way check out 'Escape' just down the road on way to the beach. Real good food at a good price - um, um, uuuummm!!

We loved the Dionysis. The location was perfect for us, We had a lovely apartment and i dont think it could have been any cleaner. Lovely friendly bar and a nice pool. Lots of places to eat and drink not far down the road. Walk to the beach was a little tireing but only coz of the heat, takes about 5 mins to get there. Id definatly be happy to stay there again.

one of the best holidays i have had, very friendly staff, good with the kids, fun place to be,tried to get back but could not get booked, would recomend to anyone that wants a relaxing holiday.

Accomodation basic but clean, a little noise from aircraft but did not spoil excelent holiday. Made to feel very welcome by the owners and was close enough to all amenities and the beach. Will be going back again.

Was there two years ago, great atmosphere at the pool bar, Dennis & Yiannis very hospitable. One of the best holidays I have had.
