hi just come back from kalamaki again stayed in antonis apts very good. what can i say everything abiut these apts is great from the rooms the location and especially the staff pedro and his brother make you feel very welcome . even though it was full it never seemed to be overcrowded. also does some pretty good food at great prices ,i would have no problem going back again. also antonis and his wife are always around with a friendly face.
Thanks to all at Antonis for a great two weeks
just arrived back today after an amazing two week holiday!!
We have just returned from 2 weeks holiday at Antonis and as there did not appear to be an up to date review of the apartments I thought I'd add one.
Just returned after 2 weeks in Kalamki. We booked through Antonis apartments although they passed our booking from their apartments onto another property. Pedros told me that this was happening when I booked but he assured me that the accomodation was as nice as his own. Sadly this was not the case, this was nowhere near as nice as their own accomodation. We had serious issues with the bathroom bins not being emptied, towels and bed linen only changed once a week. Throw in a few barking dogs which lived on the property and numerous cats which wandered in if you left a door open for more than 1 minute, a very noisy bed and no light in the bathroom for a week and that sums up our accomodation. The resort is lovely and we will be going back next year (6 years and still returning) but not to Antonis.Sorry guys.
Fantastic!!!!!
Spent 2 weeks in the apartments and spent every night laying awake too hot to sleep. Nice rooms but no air con. You could hire a fan at 2 Euros per night but it only blows the hot air round and is not much use.
"Yassoo to everyone who has visited, visiting or are thinking of visiting"
Just got back from a fantastic two weeks at Antonis apartments July 8-July22. This was our second time in Kalamaki and the first time at these fantastic apartments. So good in fact that we are returning July 3 2008 for two weeks.
The two bed apartments we stayed in are massive, large dining area with adequate kitchenette with fridge freezer, nice size shower wash room, two great size bedrooms that lead onto a massive balcony with views out to sea.
The pool is also of good size with loads of sun loungers, stroll down to the pool after twelve o clock and you can still get a lounger. The poolside bar offers food from early till late and the club sandwich is well-recommended and easy feeds more than one. Satellite TV is on for you to keep up to date with the latest sports or the rainy UK weather whilst you basque in the gorgeous sun of Kalamaki.
Antonis apartments are ideally placed off the beach road, and all the main bars, tavernas and restaurants are located very close by.
We have been coming to the Antonis for quite some time now, it's like coming home with sunshine. The owners are fabulous, they always make us welcome. We will always return. It's our little bit of paradise. The Antonis is situated in an ideal place in Kalamaki, not right on the road, but tucked away from any bustle. We have never really thought about not returning. The pool/bar is a really relaxing place to be, the pool is really nice & not too cold. Nice chill out music and always a friendly face. We were there 17-24th May & expect to return at the beginning of September. Highly recommended.. Hopefully Laki will be a dad shortly after that :)
yassu everyone this is rachel kareeoke and quiz queen? well just to say a big massive hi to everyone. u guys really are what its all about cus ive had three really good seasons and i never met a holiday maker who wasnt lovely! i loved meeten you all. i would love to keep in touch with anyone. cus your all lovely unfortunitly im not going back this summer. but you all know what im like ill probs change my mind again lol not looken forward to my first summer in england, but hopefully ill get some time off to have a few weeks in the sun. my email is scatry@hotmail.co.uk
Antonis has become our favourite "chill out area", even though we were staying elsewhere (we had no choice, it was a pressie) they made us more than welcome, great music, food, refreshments. We keep meeting up with people from previous years (since 2002), so it just shows they have alot of repeat custom. Can't wait to return in 2007.......Bring it on.....
In reply to David Wilkinsons request you can book good flights with 1) My travel.co.uk 2) Thomas cook. com.
Hi All, after reading all the comments I am very interested in going to antonis apartments. However, I cant find any package holidays for this apartment. Did people book the flights and accomodation seperately? If so which are the best tour operators, flights etc. Thanks, David

By the way Maqnos are slightly more expensive than the others.
Anyone interested. Antonis can be booked with Manos. They are not with Golden Sun or JMC. Which emans you should be in the newwer blocks and not the one owned by Merlis. Anyway great place to stay bar and pool excellent.
Nick was there when we left on 7th October 2004.
Could anyone tell me if nick still works here?
Yes, I don't think you'll have any problems with a wheelchair, provided you are in a ground floor apartment. the resort itself is quite flat. You'll have a great time there.
we have been booked to stay at antonis in july is it suitable for disabled people as one of our party is in a wheelchair please reply
Please e-mail if you know if & how you can book direct with Antonis Appartments

We booked here for the 3rd of october to the 17th but 5 days before flying thomas cook said we had been overbooked even though we'd booked 13 months in advance. They moved us into Canadian Apartments in Laganas which was a let down. During our stay we visited Antonis and were told that there is hardly anyone staying in the hotel. The manager of the apartments said we could stay there for free if we wanted. For info on what the canadian apartments were like, check on the database search
Hi to all at Antonis, its Clare, im sorry i didnt come into say goodbye when i left, it was all abit quick! Im coming back next year but not to work, just on holiday. Take care, let me know asap if you can, lots of luv Clarexxxx
Forgot to mention Toni the rep she was brill and very helpful.
Just arrived back from Antonis Apartments today. We had a lovely time. Yes the apartments are basic (very) but as people say you only sleep in them. There is entertaiment every night eg: films, quizes, karaoke, Greek Night etc. The Greek night at Daisy's Inn is better than Antonis well the food is plenty but every thing else is fine. They seem to make the drink prices up as they go along and you get a free shot with every drink but you have to barter for it. Snacks are good and reasonably priced. Luckily enough I had looked at this web site before so I took plenty of towels wit me. Although when we asked for bigger ones and another pillow we got them. We stayed in the apts owned by merlis. Yes they own everything and they can afford to spend some money on them. Regarding the comment about Thomas Cook we spoke to the barman and he says that although they are usually open until end October, Sunset (TC) have said that this is the last week for them and they are putting people elsewhere. Don't think they are telling anyone. Overall it was a very relaxing time and the weather was fab I was really worried about it. I would love to go back. There is so much to see and do or not if you just want to chill.
hi thanks to the last person who put the message on ,thats cleared some things up .we met a couple in may that where staying at the merlis appts the said they where really tatty they could not even lock the door !the said that the appt we had was luxery to what they had but the one we was in are owned by petros dad that side of the family seem to put a lot back in to the place and the mama is allways planting something or doing the garden . its not like the other brother cant afford to keep the appts up to scrath to prices they charge they own the shop.car rental and the resturant ! well i hope to stay at the antonis in the future i will keep a eye on the web site cheers.
Hi Kathy! We stayed there the first 2 weeks of Sept this year and were told that Thomas Cook wouldn't be operating with Antonis because they had received a lot of bad complaints about the old block of apartments which were actually owned by Merlis not Antonis! Thats the reason why they're not using Antonis anymore. Antonis said they were creating a website so that you could book directly with them next yr if they hadn't found another tour operator.
hi myself and my husband had booked to stay at the antonis on 7th oct 2004 gutted just got a call fron thomas cook to say they are not conneted with antonis any more ! why is it cos of peoples comments about the lads with young girls ??!! so what your on holiday and if ya girls are that easy thats the parents fault innit we went in may with our 15 year old daughter they tried it on with her and she just told them where to get off and she still had a good laugh with the lads i think if its on a plate no matter what age the girl they are gonna take it so know we have been told we have to stay at [costas appt] what are they like ??? im well gutted but its not a long walk to the antonis so not much lost but no expanatoin fron thomas cook whats the score anyone know???? please tell me if ya know the reason i think we will choose a new operater next year thats for sure and as for noise who cares 4and 5 every morning suits us !your not working for gods sake who goes to bed early on holiday ? not us ha ha see ya soon.love to all
hello everybody,
just returned from antonis pool bar, had a excellent time. i must say a massive thank you to some people who made me feel very welcome and gave me the most enjoyable holiday. a big up to alison the nicest transfer rep in zante!she was so lovely and kind to me and my family
you must say "hello" if you meet her she is beautifulx also say hello to welsh kate , scally rachel, toni ( the best rep in zante) she really knows her a**e from her elbow and will tell you all you need to know about zante! just don't moan about lack of towels, no kettle, stolen goods (its always the cleaners!) lack of hot water, beds and dirty mattress. she does her best and she is the best!!!!!
Yasou Malakas,
Firstly, How is a valley girl English? Thank you guys for the lovely comments! I don't think i really deserve them! i did F all!
Hello to everybody who knows me,i have now left Antonis, if anyone would like to get in contact my e-mail address is as follows:- Katelouise1234@yahoo.co.uk
Thanks everybody for making my working experience in Kalamaki THE BEST!
lOVE YA,
WELSH KATE
BIG UP TO LOUISE,MARC,PETER,BECKY(HOW COULD YOU PUT SUCH A MINGING PHOTO OF ME ON THE INTERNET!)GRACE,AMY,BEN,ANDY AND PHILLIP, NATALIE AND GAIL
AND SORRY IF I HAVE MISSED ANYBODY I LOVE YA ALL
Just got back today from a cracking week in Zante (9-16th Sept). There were four of us (Me, my gf magda, my sister gemma and her bf lee). We ended up in block two, rooms 8 & 9 which were a bit dodgy (I think we definately got the short straw). This block is owned by Merlis and are not as well kept as the other 2 Antonis blocks, however this did not spoil our holiday at all.
The pool and bar were the best we have seen by far, made special by the 2 bro's Julios & Pedro and not forgetting the two english birds (valley girl Kate and scally Rach)
Had a wicked time and would recommend it to anyone !!!!
Rich, Lee, Gemma & Magda
PS. Can anyone expand on the rumours we heard about family affairs and a certain barman????
Yes I think I know who you are, I can give you Ioylios's e-mail address. You can e-mail me for it as I don't think he'd like it to be put on here. You can get me on: djcarpetsservices@tiscali.co.uk.
Hope you had a good a time as we did.
Hi Carol just wondered if you could give me Julio's email address as I lost it! I was at antonis with my boyfriend from beginning of Sept this year and I also saw you there last year! Remember us? Was chatting to your daughter Lizzie! If you could give me his email I would be very grateful! Thanks
Returned from Antonis, Kalamaki 27 August. Had a wonderful time. Pool bar excellent, shuts when last person leaves!! Thanks to Ioylios, Carol and Sam for staying up with us till 4.45 am on our last night when our coach picked us up!!
Snacks and drinks good value for money. Ioylios and Petros made us very welcome. Blerim (aka Nick) was great fun if you don't mind being semi-drowned in the pool. Like Carol had email from Ioylios. The bar girls Rachel and Kate were brill (and thanks for looking after Natalie on your night out to Laganas). Hope to go back.
Everybody staying there 13-27 August were so friendly. Always plenty of sunbeds available (no having to get up at crack of dawn to reserve one).
Most relaxed holiday I have ever had!
Got back from Antonis on 2nd Sept 2004. Second time there.
Had great time, yes the rooms could be a bit cleaner, but at the end of the day we were only in it to get ready to go out & sleep. All the family are really nice (Ioylios sent breif e-mail...man of few words...bless). I was amazed how many people we met with again who were there at same time as us last year (3/8-17/8 2003). This just shows that it is a place you can return to knowing full well you'll have a great time, energetic or "chilled". We'll definately return there.
Al'sandros bar at the top of the road is a nice place to have a pre evening meal drink, also the quizzes etc are quite challenging, need your thinking cap on for this. Spent a few late nights here.
Can't say i've ever been anywhere so relaxing as Kalamaki and this is the attraction i think. Teenagers are safe ('till they want to go to Laganas). If you are going to Antonis I really can't stress that you've nothing to fear. Just make the most of your hol & go with the flow.
HI EVERYONE, ITS VICKY HERE (PART OF THE MAD DUO!)
TO ALL OF YOU THAT REMEMBER ME AND WHO STAYED AT THE ANTONIS WHILST I WORKED THERE JUNE 04- AUG 04, I HOPE YOU ARE ALL OK.
HOPE ME N RACHEL MADE YOU HOL THAT LIL BIT BETTER, BELIEVE ME YOU GUYS MADE MY TIME BEARABLE SOME NIGHTS!!
ANYONE WHO WANTS TO KEEP IN TOUCH PLEASE EMAIL ME : VICKYNENIE@HOTMAIL.COM
MAY CU ALL NEXT YEAR. LOVE VICKY XX
We were in the blue studio block, which I understand is owned by the Merlis business. It was very basic but very clean. Being on the ground floor the apartment opened up onto a little garden which was very pleasant. The noise at night went on until about 1.00am which mainly came from the films different bars were showing and nothing too loud to cope with. Our pick up time on returning to the UK was 2.40am so we booked a room for the night at the Antonis bar for 35e, this room was in the new white block everyone is on about, yes it is more modern with views of the sea but it is no more comfortable. The pool is the best I've been to and the drinks and food at the bar are good prices e.g. chip buttie 2.50e, full breakfast 4.00e
the antonis is the best apartments around the kalamaki area they r very popular with the locals. i admit the rooms r basic but if your lucky anough 2 be in one of the 2 buildings byu the pool then think urself lucky as i herd they r 5 star compared to the ones above the pool wich r owned by the merlis buissnesses and not antonis. i didnt have a problem with the accomodation it was very basic as is with all greek palces but still spacious as i was lucky enough 2 be in the old block by the pool we had bath mates clean linen and towels wich were changed frequently. there is no shower curtain but i didnt find this a big deal as it was only a minour set back. The cups r very tiny so i recomend u take big ones if u like a coffe or tea at the apartment.
The pool was lovely and the pool bar was very nice, the boys working behind the boy were friendly and funny julio and pedro (nt sure i spelt pedro rite) are the brothers and nick works there 2 there is also 2 young girls who work there in the evening who r really funny and a laugh. Entertainment is good in the evening with a mixture of films, quizes, elvis nite and greek nite. if ur worried about the noise from the pool bar dont as they try and shield as much music as possible 2 ensure that people can sleep and i coudnt hear a thing.
In two weeks time this will be our 5th time to Zante and 4th time to Antonis. Whoever says it is rubbish want their heads testing. All over Greece accommodation is basic. The rooms are cleaned regularly, towels changed regularly and if there is anything you want all you need to do is ask. I was extremely poorly last September when we stayed at Antonis and without the help of LAKIS (not Julio), Nick & Pedro and Alistair the rep, it would have been much harder for us. We are going back to thank them for all they did, and also because we do not like going anywhere else, can't wait to go. Looking forward to seeing them all and other locals Spiros & his family. Antonis always has been an extremely friendly place, great location, comfy, clean and relaxing, you could not want for more. YAMAS.
My boyfriend and I are just back and we stayed at the Antonis apartments. Yes they were basic but they are just used to sleep in!!! The pool was great good size and a great place to relax!! At night they have quiz etc your guaranteed a good laugh! All the bar staff are great, they really are friendly and welcoming!!! I have already booked up for this October! I am looking forward to seeing them all again!!! Everything is close by to the apartments supermarket, beach and other entertainment. If you are into clubbing i definetly recommend Laganas, Argrassi isnt to bad but not really as good as Laganas!!hope i could help!!! If anyone has the email addrress for antonis or just wants to know a bit about Kalamaki email me at aneave@taylorandhenderson.co.uk xx
this place takes the p**s they say greece is basic but oh my god how basic they dont even have mesh nets on the doors. theres shouting and pushing people in the pool til early hours of the morning.
the bar men are p**vs' and sleep with kids (hey chris u know about this one dont u cause i think all of kalamaki heard this families row!?) and yeah chris ur right the cleaners aint ones for cleanliness and as for the size of the apartments they aint even big enough to sleep a dog for two weeks.
not ideal for families but for a group of lads wanting a bed its olk for ya!!!!
shop around mate, they`re having a real price war at the moment, don`t buy off the reps straightaway at the welcome meeting either
can n e 1 tell me how much i can expect to pay 4 trips around zanti/kalamaki
Good location but felt let down by the apartments (although I was in the old block), and I don`t often whinge on this site, came in after a night flight to have to spend 14 euros on cleaning materials and an hour scrubbing the flat, the toilet was covered in,well,I won`t go into it, mouldy butter in the fridge, linen was stained and the bathroom window had panes missing so I didn`t feel it was secure. The bathroom cabinet was brokem with loads of dead flies and insects in the broken panels. Saw a cleaner once in the first week, although I had a word with Kate the Thomas Cook rep who did seem very helpful and was available around the pool far more than any other rep I`ve come across in 8 hols to Zante and the cleaners came 3 times in the second week after that.
The noise factor isn`t the bar`s fault though, more certain English folk who decided to have domestics at 6am on a couple of nights....(and was THAT a story to tell lol) and the screeching from bars on the main road.
I actually grew to like my apartment after the initial shock of seeing how basic the facilities were. Goes to show how little you really need to live when you have to.
