nice place nice staff only problems i found were noisey bar they seemed to turn the noise up from midnight. the room was lovely but we only had two towel changes in 14 days and as you know they don't give you big towels to start with but other than that it was a great holiday and i would stay here again
seen a cleaner once in ten days, the flats were filthy and we had to scrub them ourselves, dirty linen and the bathroom was the worst we`ve ever seen.
Just got back from a week (20th-27th June) at the Antonis and had such a fantastic time!! Enjoyed every minute, trying to find time to go back as soon as possible! The apartments themselves were basic but comfortable (they are only there for sleeping in!), the supermarket was very handy (free lollipops from the owner ;o). All the staff were wonderful, lovely and friendly. Nic in the bar was especially nice, lovely guy! - good at throwing water over you to cool you down!! Pedro and his brother well great aswell, very welcoming and friendly.
I would recommend the Antonis to anyone visiting Zante. Perfect location, Kalamaki is a lovely area with just enough bars to keep you occupied - if not Lagana is only 6-7Euros away.
IF ANYONE HAS AN E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR THE ANTONIS, COULD YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS.
HAZEL Can't help you with the E-mail i could do with it myself ! if you need good accomodation use vanessa hotel dimitris and fotis will look after you and you can book online ! have a good one and send my love to pedro's and lakis p.s tell pedro he owe's me a dvd he sold me a dodgy one !
alright all hope everyone has a great time, I`m staying here in July so if anyone sees a geezer walking around in a Chesterfield shirt don`t take the mick!
First time in Antonis for me but been in the bar loads of times and it`s great, pool area very clean too!
(don`t worry I`m coming on my own so those that know me the gang aren`t in tow this year lol!)

Have been to Zante 7 times now.. stopped at Antonis 3 times and really enjoyed it .. we try to go when kids are at school..June is a good time.. some of the rooms are a bit old , but so what, its only for sleeping in.. not been for 2 years , so I hope things havent changed too much.. really nice and friendly people ,looking forward to it.. party in Laganas..
Hi All not been to Antonis before but I have been to costas apartments 3 times before 1st time about 9 years ago, now coming back to kalamaki on 2nd - 16th july 2004 with my new partner and 5 kids between us 11 to 16 year olds but dont worry anyone else going they are not rowdy all well behaved, I cant wait now its getting closer I just love Zakinthos, any info about the antonis welcomed, also is the lighthouse still going ?
can anyone tell me roughly where the antonis is in kalamaki i am booked to go to the sirene and have friends going to the antonis...
forgot to mention - if you are looking for tours dont book with the reps as they are a total rip-off. go to pelargos tours on the main street going into kalamaki (on the left hand side). the boat trip (including smugglers cove) comes highly recommended as does the coach trip. i also went on the turtle spotting as the woman there gave me a discount as i spent so much time in her office!
Just got back from Antonis (20th May). Stayed for a fortnight with my dad of all people and have to thoroughly recommend the place. Our studio apartment was compact but well equipped and very clean and had great views from the balcony. The pool was fantastic. The bar was pretty good for what i saw of it apart from some morons who arrived three days before we went home. The drinks were cheap and the staff were friendly. The Antonis is in a good location for the beach, some good restaurants and bars and isnt too far to walk to the main bit of Kalamaki. Its near the Merlis supermarket (check out the woman who works there - she is hilarious once you get to know her, before that she's pretty scary!) and Merlis restaurant (again recommended). The only complaint i have about the Antonis really is that is was freezing on a night but we only had a really thin blanket, but i dont suppose that will be much of a problem if you dont go right at the start of the season!
Just got back from staying at Atonis Apartments from 7 May - 21 May. Luckily we had a double room (2 large bedrooms and fair sized kitchen/dining room), on the last night however, we were being picked up at 3.45 in the morning so we arranged to stay an extra nite as we had to be out of our room for 12 noon the previous day!
We had to pay 35 euros to stay an extra night, which I thought was quite expensive. We were then told to stay in a different room. It was like stepping into a timewarp! It was like something out of a 60's holiday camp! A VERY tiny room, right next to the pool bar, we couldn't sleep because of all the noise. When we set off at 3.30am, there were still people in the pool bar! All in all a very nice place, it was just unfortunate about the last night.
We hired a jimny soft top jeep for ten days from sunset rentals, very good price. They delivered it to our apartment on time, picked it up on time. All in all a very good service. I would recommend hiring a car if you stay in this part of Kalamaki. Also, the island itself is wonderful to explore. Hope this helps anyone going to these apartments/Kalamaki/Zante.
Some info would be great - especcially on deals to Smugglers Cove as that looks very nice in deed.
Me and my fiancee are visiting the antonis on 10th june for 2 weeks hoping for a relaxing holiday we are quite family orineted so dont mind kids running around.
If anyone has any info about the best places please let me know, also if your out there then and would like to meet for a drink just say the word

Louise !! the answer to your question is block 2 is the old block coloured blue or green.
hope that helps you.
Is anyone staying at the Antonis apartments between October 24th-October 31st?
We have just had conf. through to say we are in block 2.... is this new or old?
To all those people who are going to be staying at Antonis apartments for the first time. The rooms are basic but clean. They won't be cleaned regularly after you arrive. You have to do that yourself! You will have to provide your own toilet rolls. You will have to empty your bins! However this aside you are in a brilliant location suitable for families and couples. Young singles should go to Laganas. The apartment blocks are well spaced out. The pool is excellent and very clean and suitable for children and adults. You have to pay to hire a fan for your room. No air conditioning. No safety deposit boxes. You also have to pay 2euros for a padded cushion to put on your sunlounger. All these little extras do spoil things. You are very close to the beach, restaurants, bars, taxi service. There is enough going on to keep you occupied in your small area of Kalamaki but it is very easy to take a taxi or walk to explore. I recommend the cave bar for couples and singles. Lambros and Paris restaurant are the best in the area. Enjoy your stay and let Antonis know what you like and don't like
I am going to Antonis next June with my fiance for two weeks.. we are 23 and 21 - does anyone have any opinions on whether or not it will be suitable?
We just want a quiet holiday to rest and relax with the potential to go out for meals and have a couple of drinks if possible?!Also for the lady that required info on tour operators going to Antonis - we booked through Thomas Cook
HELLO GOING TO ANTONIS APARTMENTS THIS THURSDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER IS ANYONE ELSE GOING WITH CHILDREN I HAVE SON 13 AND GIRL 6 IF SO EMAIL ME ON tull.bm@virgin.net thanks also is there anyone that has been with sunset holidays with 2 children as it seems the new block only single people have been in new block thanks
Hi Gail we were a family of 4 and were in the Blue block in numbers four and five.
Hi
Just got back from Kalamaki and had a brilliant 2 weeks. Never been to Zante before but would go back again. I always write a web report when I've been anywhere for www.realholidayreports.com, whether I liked it or not and pick on everything so that people know what they are getting. This doesn't mean I hated it for those who love Greece and Kalamaki, Even if the things I write about didn't personally bother me they might someone else so I say how it is - just in case you don't agree with me please don't take it personally.
Travellers - 2 adults (couple)
Board - self catering
Duration - 2 weeks (24th August 2003 - 7th September 2003)
p.s. hello to anyone that was there same time as us
Accommodation - Antonis Studios & Apartments
Tel: 00-30-695-26783
These apartments were fine. Although we requested the new block through Thomas Cook our tour operator, We were placed in the old block (No.1 I think it was the pink one). The apartments are very basic and have the following in them:
Kitchen area – included a sink, cupboards normal size fridge, 2 ring hot plate and small kettle. If I were to add anything it would be a toaster. You are only provided with the very basics of cutlery and plates, although I think we had one I would take with you a bottle opener and corkscrew just to be on the safe side.
Bathroom – only grumble here was they never replaced the toilet roll when it had run out so I had to keep going to the pool bar and asking for another one, which they gave me with no problem it was just annoying after a while. You only get two very small hand towels so take your own but saying that I wouldn't have used them anyhow because they were not that clean.
Bedroom – area was a decent size with old furniture which had obviously seen better days and ready for replacement. You got the basic 2 white sheets which is all you needed, although there was a blanket for each bed in the bottom of the wardrobe. Take coat hangers with you if you have a lot of clothes to hang up, we had three between 2 people for 2 weeks worth of clothing. You have 2 sets of doors on to the balcony, an outside set brown with air holes and double-glazed glass doors, and both sets had their own locks on them. If it was noisy at night we had to close both sets of doors to get any sleep if you do this in the height of the season you will need a fan because it then gets too hot to sleep. Fans can be hired from the pool bar at €2 a day unless you haggle like we did and get it for €1.50 per day. Then again if you go straight to the Point Break Café at the top of the lane 2 doors to your left you will get them for €7 a week.
Safety – There are no safety deposit boxes in the rooms, I heard there were some in a supermarket near by but to be honest we never bothered. We had nearly €2,000 in cash with us and our passports and a credit card kept in the zip pocket of hand luggage all the time we were there and I never once felt it was unsafe to do so. Normally we would hire a box and if there had been one in reception or the room I would have used it and maybe we were very lucky but it was a risk we took and we were ok with it.
You get either a balcony or terrace depending on whether you are on the ground or 1st floor. These are all open so you don't get a private area, personally I thought this made for a very social atmosphere when you were sat relaxing before going out. The pool as everyone has said - fantastic, in fact we never went to the beach for sunbathing just for stroll in the sea every so often. The pool bar again good snack type food at a reasonable price and the staff very friendly.
Noise – You are under the flight path from the airport and you hear the planes taking off to leave the island. I didn’t think this was a problem but be aware of it because on some days between 3-5 can take off with an hour then you might have a gap of an hour and so it goes on. I didn’t notice the noise of any aircraft landing, the noise didn’t bother us at all but it might some. No aircraft can take off after 10pm because of the turtles, although I’m sure one night it was nearly midnight when one went up. The other noise whilst we were trying to sleep came from the pool bar and the Al’ Sandros Bar at the end of the lane to the apartments. The noise from these two places were worse than the aircraft noise.
Entertainment
The entertainment at the Antonis is good, they have something going on every night which usually takes the form of latest films only just released in the UK, BBQ & Quiz, Karaoke, Quiz & Film or a mixture of any of these. Be warned if you have young children when they have a film or the karaoke on you will not sleep it is very loud. I don't know if this was because we were the closet block to the pool bar where the entertainment took place, but it does go on until quite late depending on how many people are taking part.
They will push the BBQ tickets for the first Friday you are there, it costs €10 which personally I did not think was worth it. Yes you get a plate full of food if you can eat port kebab skewers with more fat than pork on them and a glass of not so dreadful wine, but you can eat in any of the other restaurants for €6-7 with nicer food and just as much on your plate. I would recommend going out for a meal and then return for the Quiz later on at 10pm because this part is free and they have decent prizes.
Hi Russel Land
We have also just returned and was in that block, what number were you in. We were on the 1st floor number 10.
Gail
We have just returned from the Antonis where we had an excellent time.Unfortunatley we were in the older of the blocks that could do with a bit of doing up,but it was ok as a base. The pool bar is very good both for snacks and entertainment with friendly staff, all three brothers and mamma work very hard and make you feel most welcome. Will return sometime in the near future.
HEY JULIA, REMEMBER ME? I WAS WITH THE GROUP FROM LONDON WHO SANG AT THE KARAOKE NIGHT! ANYWAYS I AGREE WITH JULIA- APARTMENTS WERE CLEAN WITH LARGE WARDROBE AND STORING SPACE BUT TAKE YOUR OWN TOWELS. POOL WAS BEAUTIFUL WITH PLENTY OF LOUNGERS AND GOOD SNACK BAR. BAR STAFF WERE WELCOMING BUT PETROS WENT TOO FAR WITH HIS ROAMING HANDS, HE IS LOVELY THOUGH! WARNING TO ALL GIRLS DON'T TALK TO THE BOAT TRIP MAN MARIO WHO STANDS AT THE KALAMAKI JUNCTION ALONG FROM ANTONIS!!
ME AND A GROUP OF GIRLFRIENDS R JUST BACK FROM ANTONIS APARTMENTS AND WE ABSOLOUTLY LOVED IT!! THERE WAS SO MUCH TO DO IN THE RESORT THAT WE NEVER MADE IT TO LAGANAS. ALTHOUGH WE ARE 18 YEAR OLD GIRLS AND WERE WARNED ABOUT THE GREEK MEN WE NEVER ENCOUNTERED ANY REAL SLEAZE- BUT WATCH OUT FOR MARIO THE BOAT TRIP SELLER ALONG THE ROAD FRON THE APARTMENTS, VERY DODGY.
WE STAYED IN THE GREEN BLOCK AND FOUND THE APARTMENTS TO BE VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. THE POOL AREA WAS SPACIOUS AND SPOTLESS AND THE STAFF WERE WARM AND FRIENDLY, ESPECIALLY PEDROS WHO KISSED US ANY TIME WE WENT NEAR THE BAR- WE WE R SURE HE WAS JUST PLAYING!
Just back from Antonis Apartments. Stayed in white block. Excellent accomodation.Friendly staff. Good for families- our 15 year old enjoyed very much, great beach and lots of bars and restaurants, although prices have increased there since the euro.Keep passing on that electric fan !
we booked our holiday to antonis 2 was given antonis 1 room 8 struggled to open door that much sand in the door tracks, entered a room to say a basic room is a understatement ,the room hadnt been cleaned before we arrived toilet bin full from last occupant brown dirty stains on the bed sheets sand all on the floor, the room was not cleaned for 2 weeks we stayed there, enter the cleaner well thats what they call her, change of bed sheets ,given a pillow full of blood this was suppose to be a new clean pillow, gave the pillow to the rep and he changed it for me with a good smile, first night in bed the bed fell to bits sleept on the floor for the first four nights, finally got the rep to change the matress, hey whats your problem mate with the bed asks the rep, stinks like sleeping on bricks so i got a new matress.the bed was held together with beer mats jammed down the ends,
enter cleaning day, returned from a great day at the beach, hey clean sheets,oh no another pillow full of blood the cleaner loves me look my pillow case looks like freddy crugger put this one on full of slash marks maybe she likes me.still the sand and rubbish are still on the floor.meet the rep morning ,right let me sell you some trips,

great food veronica thank you to you and your staff.overall great holiday but the antonis appartments room 8 was dirty and basic isnt the word to describe this room.the antonis family were friendly and good .the pool was good also only the rep tells you its only to be used at 9 till 9 .we seen on sevral occasions them putting chemicals in the pool when people were still useing the pool the rep said the chemicals could make you ill so keep out the pool ,i didnt see them telling the kids to stop useing the pool when putting the chemicals in well before 9pm.people pay good money to stay in decent accomadation enjoy themselfs but the accomadation was the worst i have ever stayed in sorry it wasnt basic it was a xxxx never cleaned
the cleaner a joke.the bedding a disgrace.i dont miss the bed every time you moved it rattled and woke you up.should you find the wifes earings she lost off the dressing table please send them on to us please.the yellow book i would say put your views in this book as most seemed to be negative about the accomadation.kalamaki is a beautiful place friendly people great food great beach, airport well

We have just returned from antonis we were in antonis 2, we are going back in Sep 03 for 1 wk, we have been going to kalamaki for 7 yrs now.
Antonis is run by brothers which are all very friendly, 1 brother owns merlis car rental, 1 brother runs merlis supermarket, and the other brother run merlis resturant, and i have to say they are most helpful in all the above I give all above 10 out of 10, never had any problems.so cant wait be back there in Sep 03
We are staying at the Antonis Apartments in block 2 in September. Can anyone advise what block 2 is like (which block colour is this) to stay in and if the apartments are okay.
Thank you.
We honeymooned at the Antonis last year! This was our first time abroad and we had the best time ever. Ok the apartments are basic, but we were not expecting a 4 star hotel! The whole resort was fantastic! We could not have asked for a better holiday. We met some lovely people of all ages who made us very welcome. The beach was beautiful and clean and we even swam next to a loggerhead turtle! We had great nights at the Antonis with their quiz & karoke nights. But if you are looking for a great bar, try the Mustang, very friendly staff and great food. We loved it so much that we booked up again for next year with my parents! Unfortunately we are going to the Daisy next year, but we have read many great reviews, though you can guarantee that we will be visiting the Antonis over the fortnight! All in all a beautiful place well worth visiting again. Oh do visit the Cave Bar, a wonderful place for a drink and food with spectacular sights, but watch our for the mossies!
Sunset holidays is the tour operator
Please can anyone tell me which tour operator sells holidays at antonis? have been before with JMC but can't find these apartments in any of the brochures. I am desperate to book for next year.
does anyone have a contact number for the antonis apartments?if so could you please email it to me. it would be very much apprieciated!

just to say i stayed at antonis this july and i have to say if all u can complain about is bird s### and children your have little to worry about.remember the children are on hols as well, and as for the lilos i used them everyday and i am an adult.
To the comment to Lynne. May be I was that mother, but when you are the only adults to play with your and everyone elses children sometimes it was hard to entertain! Sorry if it p***ed you off. I found the apartments great but I was lucky enough to be in the white block. I thought the rep had a lot to be desired as he made it obvious that he does not like families or children. The pool is not suitable for children smaller than 110cm as the shallowest part was 1mtr deep. shame, but nether the less our child enjoyed it and so did all the other kids playing silly games. The apartments need to be cleaned more often ( but I would of cleaned the bird dropping up myself as I would of at home rather than finding something to winge about.) Definately take your own towels for the bathroom unless you like drying yourself on the size of a face flannel
I though these apartments were very basic, although initially clean, were not realy cleaned that well during our stay. There was bird S**t on the balcony for the entire fortnight and was never once cleaned. Nice pool shame about the Lilo and boats, for goodness sake do you need 12 lilos in the pool at one time, in the afternoon you could not get in the pool for the amount of lilos in it. Also the children jumping of the bridge, which they are told not to do. The morning was a great time to be at it, one afternoon one mother decided to tell the children to have a competition to see who could scream the loudest and then said the loudest and the longest!!! Give us a break.
We are staying at the Antonis at the end of August with an 11 year old son and a 13 year old daughter,is anyone with similar aged children staying at the same time?
We are staying here at the end of August with 15 year old daughter. If any other teenagers going at the same time and want to email her , they can on carlsimbec@roehamp.fsnet.co.uk
We have just come back from staying at the Antonis apartments which are situated in a very good position in the resort. There is a very nice swimming pool - best we saw in Kalamaki. Before we went we had a look at this web site and we were concerned about some of the previous comments regarding the accommodation therefore we spoke to our travel agent and put in a request to stay in the new 'white block' but unfortunately when we arrived we were allocated an apartment in the green block. However our apartment was fine, it was basic but it was clean and it met all of our essential needs - typical greek accomodation. The accomodation in the white block is bound to appear better because it is newer. At the end of the day we just used the apartment as a base however you might struggle if you prefer to cook for yourself rather than eating out because the cooking facilties are limited. We preferred to eat out because there was fanstatic selection of restaurants right on the doorstep.
How much is it for the trip to Athens with the local,
Greek, travel agents this year
2 adults & 3 children aged 10,12,14years from 21st August 2003 for 14 nights

Re safety deposit boxes. the actual apartments at the Antonis do not have safety deposit boxes but they own the super market next door and you can rent safety boxes there and they cost 10 euros per week.
Can any one help and let me know if the pool is safe for toddlers eg a shallow end?
not been to antonis yet but Andrea asked about safe deposit boxs, the apartments don't have them but they have a supermarket near by that the guests can use(my tavel agent rang the apartments for me)
HEY PETRO THOUGHT UD GOT RID OF ME BUT U AINT HAHAHAHAHAHA

Went to Kalamaki last year- very nice. We are going back at the end of August this year( this time with our 15 year old daughter) and will be staying at the Antonis Apartments. Is anyone one else going in August with teenage girls ?
MY SISTER STAYED AT THE ANTONIS APTMS LAST YEAR AND WOULD LIKE TO BOOK DIRECT WITH THE OWNERS DOES ANYONE PLEASE HAVE THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS
Could anyone please supply me with the email address of the Antonis Apartments? I stayed there this summer and I would like to return by booking directly with the family. Thanks.
We have just returned from a 2 week stay here. We had a 2/3 person room in the "white" block, which was of a good size. Slightly lacking in furniture, but we have been to greek islands before and new what to expect! Kitchen/eating area could be a bit small if you need to cook and eat in the apartment, again typlical of greek accomodation. Only thing we found lacking was the service, the room was serviced only twice a week, and then only to change the sheets and two hand towels provided. Take your own bath towels if you need more than a hand towel after a shower! The pool and bar area were nice, and some form of entertainment was available every night (films, kareoke, live entertainment and quiz night). To be fair we used our apartment only as a base to shower and sleep, so cant comment on the caliber of the entertainment! Good quite place with a nice pool, off the main road, only a short walk to the beach and restaurants.
We have been to zante the last 6 years and have stayed in different apts for first 3 years then we found antonis and have stayed there last 3 years and will never stay anywhere else now. The apartments are clean and of very good standard for greek apts, the pool is clean and of good size with plenty of sunbeds, the beach is a 5 min stroll away, entertainment is very good and others bars etc are a stones throw away (try al sandros, lee is very welcoming). The staff are all very friendly, pedros, lakis, sofia, david and everyone just make you feel like family. You can book direct but they are very busy in uly/aug so best to contact them before you go out there. Best apartments on the whole island...
We love the location. The pool was above average. The beach a 5 min stroll along the mad driver roads. This said, Antonis have a new block - the 'white block' and a shed load of totally sub-standard awful rooms. I will never go again if there's a chance of being lumbered with the older blocks. The litchen and eating area - apparently for 4 persons - was a flaking chipboard unit and cupboard with cutlery for 2, a table and chairs for 2 (the chairs were split and foam coming out)and all this 'luxury' was crammed into the hallway. Yes, I do mean the hallway leading to the 2 bedrooms and the bathroom (that'll be the bathroom with the rotting door and the wrongly angled floor that ensures the water goes anywhere other than in the floor drain requiring manual mopping after every shower.) Smell of sewage. Ok - the double bedded bedroom - the double bed is in a minature room - 3 of the walls are against 3 sides of the bed. No wardrobes. The so called balcony was a communal slab of concrete at the end of the car park with a plastic table and chairs on it. However - complain to the JMC rep and meet with rudeness and pathetic excuses. Carry on complaining and get a move to the newer white block which is A1 and lovely. Bottom line - if you aren't assured you're in the white block, choose alternative accomodation! his all said, staff friendly and we eventually enjoyed our stay but are looking to 'First Choice' for next year.
In an excellent location in the centre of better part of the old part of town. The new part, at the top of the road, is OK for an evening stroll but no better than Blackpool. We found that the taverna, Merli's, was one of the best for quality and value. Very friendly staff and not overbearing. The pool at Antonis is poorly designed with a bridge going across that most youngsters jump off. The tiles surrounding the edge of the pool are badly worn and had a slippery coating of scum through lack of cleaning. Also, the water quality looked rather suspect. The chlorine content was high and the water looked cloudy at night with the pool lights on. A drainage cover was also dislodged in the deep end. I refrained from going in when I noticed soom smelly people from our flight going straight in without taking a shower. But you can't blame Antonis for that!
You can book with Antonis direct, I believe that they keep a couple of rooms at the top of the White block for direct bookings. Some people even stayed in the house next to where the family live whilst we were there. We asked when we were there and they said we could book direct.
We have stayed at Antonis apartments for 3 years running and will be going again next September (hopefully for our honeymoon). We would like to know if we can book direct with Antonis apartments, as this would be cheaper for us. I have a friend who works in a travel agency in Doncaster, who may be able to get us cheaper flights. Please advise and reply asap.
We had such a fun time at the Antonis Apartments. Around the fabulous pool there's the chance to meet some lovely new people (as we did) and chat to the very friendly bar staff! Our apartment was a perfect base to wash and sleep. We ate out for every meal rather than in the apartment. Breakfast at the pool bar is very reasonable and tasty! Recommend you empty your own 'poo bin' in the bins provided on each floor. Above all we had a great stay at these apartments and are eager to return!
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Antonis, great pool! Unfortunately we were not deemed priviledged enough (by either JMC or Antonis?) to stay in Atonis 1 - the white block behind the pool, but instead were in the green block, the shower rooms and kitchens of which are appalling! This block needs urgent modernisation/ bulldozing/selling off!. Why, in this day and age, should someone paying the same price for all levels of accomodation have to take pot luck at three VERY different levels of accomodation? Come on Antonis family upgrade now or lose future bookings! However the apartments and neighbouring Merlis restaurant (great for kids meals) and supermarket are well run by friendly staff. One downside was that we saw the prices in the supermarket and Antonis bar increase during our second week! (Spring Bank). As for other peoples moans about un-emptied bathroom bins (poo paper), come on - how long would you leave it for?. Put in a liner bag (supermaket bag) and empty it yourself as often as you like into the outside bin. Eat at: anywhere, Breakfast at: Lighthouse, Currency: take Sterling cheques-not Euro. Turtle watch: Crystal beach, Turtle tour: Dionisis tours with turtle guide Graham. email me for any further info.
WE ARE STAYING AT ANTONIS FOR THE 3RD YEAR RUNNING IN JUNE. WE LOVE IT. THE MUSIC CAN BE A BIT LOUD BUT IF YOU ARE TIRED ENOUGH IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. IN ALL THE TIMES WE HAVE BEEN TO KALAMAKI THEY ARE THE BEST APTS WE HAVE STAYED IN!
Just got back from kalamaki where we stayed at the Antonis apts.Everything about the accomodation and location was excellent. We were lucky enough to be staying in the newer white block (Antonis 1 ) and they were very spacious & well maintained.Although our balcony overlooked the bar/pool area it was very quiet at night even when the karoke got into full swing at about mid night thanks to double glazed patio doors! Great pool and bar and good service. The only critism is that the bathroom bin was not emptied for the first 3 days and then every 2 days after that.
i need to know if anybody is going to greece on the 30th june cause im sixteen and would love to meet new friends there im staying at the rainbow but go down the antonis every day if u have any info please email at carrollfamily30@cwctv.net or steven.carroll@chesterton-high.staffs.sch.uk thanx
The antonis apartments are located in the heart of kalamaki and the staff are really freindly i went there last year and met great freinds and one in particularn was pedros who worked behind the bar, hes great but im going again this year and im going to get revenge cause he chucked me in the pool. Overall its the best place to be and the nightlife is close by and the karaoke nights are great if u sing i got a free shot so i was singing all the time
Just returned from Kalamaki, had an excellent hol. there. Apartments clean but could be improved on, try emptying bathroom bins more often!! Pool area very nice plenty of sunbeds, weather was exceptional for middle of October. Watch out for what we thought was a scam, trying to get money for a room for the early morning flights, work it out for yourselves, we did not pay but still kept room. The so called courtesy room is a laugh not even a chair to sit on. But even so we will return to Kalamaki but possibly stay elsewhere. Food is excellent in most places as are music, wine and people. The beach is brilliant.
Great pool and fantastic big screen for movies, football in evenings. Great sound system for late night drinks. Make sure you are in new apartment block as heard some real horror stories. Great holiday with husband and 2 year old daughter but NEVER ever will travel with JMC again.....
we had two weeks at antonis and we found the apartments clean and the peaple friendly. the pool there is about the best we had seen and there were people from other apartments using ours. the people are very laid back and its a very relaxing place to just soak up the sun.
The pool and bar area were excellent, which is more than can be said for our apartment. It was the most cramped greek apartment we have ever had, and was in desperate need of more storage space and new furniture - plastic coating peeling off chairs, no kitchen bin.... We went three days without having our bathroom bin emptied - what can I say?! On our departure day, we managed to get a peep at the new apartment block behind us (Antonis 1, apartments 15-33) - they were beautiful, spacious apartments. It seems very unfair to have paid the same amount for far inferior accommodation. Apart from this, Kalamaki itself is fantastic - seeing the turtles was the highlight of the holiday. For a great meal out in beautiful surroundings, try Zepos Taverna, along from Crystal Beach Hotel.
The main reason for me not loving these apartments is the simple fact that some a big, better and brighter than others. Unfortunatly we ended up with the opposite for the same price... Great Pool, probably the best in Kalamaki, loads of restaurants beutiful beach.... bad apartments, sort it out somebody.
petertownsend@yahoo.com we need some details on apartments at the marlean in kalamaki
Quality place, quality service. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Too many restaurants to choose from, you can try and go back to your favourites but there are too many to try. The pool is brilliant and only just 5 minutes away from the beach. Very close to taxi rank if you want Laganas. A very good holiday. They have to drop JMC though, shocking company.
Me & my boyfriend stayed there from 13th July. The apartments are pretty basic but are kept very clean! The pool area is fantastic and has plenty of sunbeds which can be used by anyone! The food isn't bad and the beer is very very cold - yum yum! Evening entertainment is a bit repetative but is ideal if your not one for the noisy bars. We would definately go back there. We also paid for a late checkout and were given one of the new apartments to stay in which was gorgeous! I would recommend this if you have a night flight and it only cost us 9,000 dr (around £18)!
u can book phone 00 30695 26783. they have new apts 4 2001, some with sea views proberly cleanest pool apart from klelia hotel near beach.Good lunch food, best looking pool very friendly staff.
We stayed in th Cavo D Oro apts not to bad but very small and the pool was rotton, used Antonis every day that we were not on the lovely beach, great comfitable with hired matresses at 600 dracs a day. pool very clean and the staff fantastic, we would recomend Antonis to every one. we are going to Kalamaki in October for a week and would like to no the price of an apt for 3 people can you help.
We stayed at the Cavo Doro end of May beginning of June 2000 and the Cavo Doro wasn't very good although the rooms at the back are fine. We went to Antonis Pool during the day every day and it was great, good music, not too loud and the atmosphere and staff were brilliant. We're booking the Antonis Apartments next year, but would like to book direct, is this possible. JMC had it last year.
What were the apartments like, what was included in the apartment, Was the pool nice how close were towns shops beach etc i am realy interested in going here but want to know more please help!!
To Mike Critcher 23/3/01 We are going to the Antonis with JMC 27/5/01. The apartments are on page308 of the JMC Essentials brochure
CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT TOUR OPERATORS USE THESE APARTMENTS ??
We went in June2000 and loved it!!! Although there is a noisy bar just outside the apartments that stayed open til 3am - bit of a bummer if you have an early flight home. Apartments are very clean + the family that run them are very friendly. Pool is clean with good music during the day - although some evening entertainment is a bit naff. For good greek food goto Paris restaurant or Michalo's - for English food you can't beat the little surfie restaurant between Merlis Taverna (rubbish food)and gift shop. For the best breakfast try Angels (I'll have a country brekkie please!). The Cave bar in the hills is mellow and you can get away from the evening heat. Stay off the beach at night to protect the turtles and have a great time!!! YASSAS
Great Location only 20mins walk to Laganas, absolutly fab pool area, very friendley staff!!, 5 mins walk to beach, simple acom, but clean. Had a great holiday in Zante, would definatley return. Only prob was the outdoor pub near the entrance to the aparts, played very loud music every pm until 3ish am!!, although a genrally quiet resort by night. Laganas "WILD"!!!, great beach, though very busy during the day. Generally wouldn't recommend going to Zante during the first two weeks of May, as everything is just begining to open up - by mid May the weather is a lot more steady, not as many mid day showers. Zakinthos Town is good, we got a ferry over to Olympia, this is well worth doing, also we went on a Island Tour by coach, which was also very good!!! I CARNT WAIT TO RETURN!!!!!
Well Sarah see you there, me and my boyfriend are going on the 16th and I was just wanting some info on it
We loved it!!!! The best apartments in Kalamaki!! It is nicely situated just off the main road and it has everything you need. Basic apartments, but that is all you need!! Great pool area with good music all day!! If you dont want to be in Laganas all the time then this is the place to be. Taxis not far so we had easy access to the clubs!! Oh almost forgot - the best staff ever!! Two very sexy friendly brothers!! Must have been good cos we are going back on August 12th this year!!! Very excited!!
