Boyfriend and I have opted for an allocated on arrival being either Commodore-Admiral's or Captain's going June 11th to 22nd and really excited- 3rd time in Argassi.

me and my fiance are going back to argassi in june 2007 and we are staying at the commoodore this year as last year we stayed at the diana palace and we loved it as that was my first year aboard, anyone no where abouts the commodore is as o the map we are unable to find it is it near to other shops or hotels

this place was so great i loved it to bits and if i could be there right now believe me i would! it was so great this hotel coz it catered for everyone it was in the middle of all the family bars and stuff but also not too far from laganas for the clubbers! cody seems to be so famous on here and no wonder hes so great but be careful coz he will get ya drunk lol hes so funny aswell u cheeky monkey! gerty the hotel mananger or whatever he is is proper grumpy though to the other staff but he can be alright to the customers he needs a slap lol i would recommend this hotel to anyone! so go there its great  xx

I am heading to the Argassi in September for a week and been keeping an eye on the weather. It looks hot hot hot at the moment and I cant wait to get out there.

Some rooms have aircon but you have to pay 5Euros a day for it, otherwise you can rent a fan for 2 or 3 Euros a day, but they're rubbish, I'd go for the aircon if you can. Drinks aren't that expensive, but not particularly cheap either, cocktails are the cheapest, they seem to be 2-4-1 everywhere you go.

Please could someone tell me what type of kitchen equipment (e.g. pans/ cutlery etc) a 3 bed studio has? and what you will need to take?? PLease answer asap i am going in 3 weeks thanks xx

My friend and I have just returned from Zante and would like to say how fantastic the place is. The resort is great, the 24/7 snack bar, the red lion, The Factory and the Beer Acadamy are all cool. And how can we forget to mention after hours with Cody, the CHEEKY MONKEY! (you know what Im talking about!!!) Cant wait to come back, we have already booked for September, cant wait to see you too Nikos and Eddy!!!

I went to Zante for the first time with my Boyfriend on the 25th June untill the 10th July, We had the best time ever.  The hotel was realy nice the rooms cleaned daily and the pool was always in tip top condition couldnt fault anything about the Commodore its basic but then again Greece is, the most important thing is that it was very clean.

We arrived on 5th June for 2 weeks. The whole place was amazing, the Greeks were very friendly and made you feel welcome.   I have been to a few Greek Islands but Zante was by far the best. We hired a car and went all over the Island, however Argassi was the best resort.

Big up to Rossi's Oz bar (they were great). Big thumbs down to Peters resturant the owner is a wierdo

Will defo go back one year. Would be very happy staying in the Commodore again. Could not fault a thing about the place. Highly recommended!!!!!!!

got back from holiday on18th may 2006. had a brilliant holiday at the commodore hotel. nicos the manager is a nutter  makes every one welcome.

Just returned back from the Commodore today, had a fantastic 2 weeks. Cody, Nicos and Eddie 3 fantastic bar staff.

we have just returned from the commodore,myself ,my husband and our 11 year old daughter,we had a great time,lovely hotel the staff are great // nicos and cody were very friendly and a good laugh (cheeky monkey),argassi was a nice place but the beach wasnt  so good so we enjoyed it by the pool and bar,would go back to the commodore anytime.

went to the admiral in 94,staying in the commodore this time.anybody who wants a great hol then this is the place 2 stay.we had a fantastic time last time,the kids lurrved itand we can't wait to go back,c u in june everybody!!!!!

me and my boyfriend thought it was great, nice people, nice town  and the rooms were really clean we had a fantastic time and would love to go back again!!!

stayed in the commodore from 2-16th of october 2005.basic,but clean and tidy.i would recommend this hotel to anybody.it is situated near all of the restaurants and bars.try 24/7 snack bar.red lion and oasis bar.restaurants to try include CASTAWAYS,ETHNICS & ZEUS.

Just returned from a two week break and stayed at the commodore.  The hotel was in a great location, the rooms are very basic but clean.  The shower tray is about the size of a postage stamp, and tend to flood the bathroom floor every night but you do get used to it!  The Snack Academy does  brilliant Crepes (24/7 is not that great!).  Castaways is superb! Also the Red Lion is great! We had a few wild nights in there!

We've just booked to go to the commodore next year in august (18th for 2 weeks) is this a good time to go for 17 year olds??whats the beach like anyone?is it any good??

Hi all, we stayed at the commodore last week and we really enjoyed it!!!!!!!!

However, i totally agree with what 'jojo' said regarding all the foreigners (Italians) making a lot of noise.  Unfortunately our room was directly above where they they where all staying and we were constantly woken up by the them, they were just extremely rude!!!    

Also, do not make the same mistake as we did by deciding to go B+B. The breakfasts were not English as we thought they would be, they were continental and absolutely rank!!!!!!  urgh!!!!!

Also, the maids were quite rude too. On the odd occasion that we where still in our room when they came round, they just walked straight in without knocking and then started slamming about!  

Apart from those negative points we really enjoyed it at the Commodore and Argassi is a great resort!! x x

Commodore was our 1st hotel back in 2003. It was really not good and the Captain´s we visited last year was much better. on the other hand, it was our 1st common holiday, so it really didn´t matter so much  I am sure u understand....

We stayed at the commodore this year and found it was the best apartment area in the world! the pool was great and we didnt have to fight off anyone for sunloungers in the mornings which allowed us an extra hour in bed! the staff were great, cody and adi were realy charmers i think the terms 'cheeky monkey' and 'oooh baby' will stick forever in our minds! the hill is nothing really although it does seem endless during the midday sun so we wouldnt reccomend walking up it then! we are planning our next trip already there and are definatly going to go again!

jane the hill is not that bad. i have stayed at the commodore for the last 7 years the rooms are clean and the staff are helpful the beach in argassi is not that good. if one of your party has a licence get a car and see the rest of zanty. the meeting place is good for food and to have a drink stay away from TIFFANYS the food is crap and that man is a total pest the man in the 24/7 is nice and so the wife sayes u get a good cup of tea. if u need to no more about argassi or the rest of zanty i will be pleasd to help. ps love the place going in sept 8 for two weeks and then 1 week in oct 23

Aw shams! We had a FAB holiday! (June-July 05)The appartments were average, but were very clean.  The staff were very friendly, esp. CODY and AIDEE (or however you spell it) BABES!!

Had fab time in Argassi and at the Commodore - one thing though, my friend and I came on here prior to going away and were looking forward to the infamous Cody mentioned so many times on here before. But was that really him, what was all the hype about!?!

Just booked to go to the Commodore Apartments on June 1st next year(2006)Just me and my 8 year old daughter travelling there, is there any entertainment to keep my daughter happy in the evening? And also what is the beach like? if its not to good is there a better one not to far away? And if there are any other single parents going round the same time let me know please.First time ive travelled abroard without a partner feeling very unsure about it, but it has to be done. Location is fairly decent, and if you want to use the facilities of the sister complexes (Captains and Admirals) then you can.  Fairly simple pool and bar, just easy to relax here.  Reccommended if you're not after anything too fancy.  7/10

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Commodore in September 2004 we took with us our four children! Aged between 6 and 13. We had a fantastic holiday and all the children want to return this year, The rooms were basic but spotless, good views too. The pool area was cleaned daily. The staff were friendly and the entertainment was brill! The meals in the local restaurants were good apart from one, when I complained the whole of Argassi knew about it the restaurant owner had spread the word to other restaurant owners. The
Only downside was Zante airport with four children.

i was there from the 10-24 june, we were on the top floor room 1012 i think. you werent the noisy buggars next door were you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did anyone stay in the commodore around 14th-28th june?? me n my mate matt had a fantastic time!! stayed in room overlookin pool, with the england flag flyin high of course!! Wanna get in touch with the 2 scottish birds, u know who u are, attackin our room with toilet paper n shower gel!! Least we got u back!! he he!! would love 2 go back next year but goin in a big group so laganas is the option i think!! will make sure i get my mates to visit argassi tho, sneak in commodore for a cheeky cocktail or 2!!

Spent two weeks in the Commodore from 10/10 to 24/10. Apartment and pool spotless. Excellent location - 5 mins walk from shops and clubs but pretty quiet. Road slopes up to hotel but nothing drastic. Avoid steepest part by going up front steps to hotel. Staff friendly and efficient. Went with First Choice and got a free meal with the owner of the hotel! Weather wonderful apart from a couple of days. Try the Nostalgia (fantastic roast potatoes!) or the Premier at the bottom of the hill - both brilliant restaurants.
Warning - Dont book trips with Spring Tours though (on right hand side near Nostalgia) - we booked to go all round island on cruise but got put on 'half way round island' trip with another party without being told beforehand and were refused refund/another trip. Wonderful day in Kefalonia with another tour company - only E22 each!
Bit difficult to get around the island without a car. No trips to Laganas or Tsivilli. Bus service hourly, taxi to Zante town E5-6 each way, but plenty of organised trips available to tourist spots. Would certainly go again.

Just back from 2 weeks at the Commodore - had a fantastic time and would definately go back. The rooms are spotless and the staff are really friendly. Give generously to Cody's "Ferrari Fund" - great barman and a great laugh!!!
Only downside is the "Chicken Run" - a few restaurants just down from the Commodore all trying to get you to go in - once past there are no problems.

We went to the Commodore in June and absolutely loved it. The room was lovely and very clean, Cody was the best barman and makes excellent cocktails!! He is also a very 'Cheeky Monkey!' Don't be put off by the hill as it isn't as bad as it seems and it is well worth it. Paul is a great entertainer. I would definately go back. (To marry Cody!!!!)

yossou!! were in argassi for a week in mid august(far too short!). had an unbelievable time! stayed in the commodore which was top class. our towels and sheets were changed daily by very friendly staff. felt very safe there. cody was hilarious aswel, his attempt at irish dancing was genius!! are going back for 3 weeks next summer and are even staying in the same room!! would definetly recommend it to all, zante is the most magical place in the world!! take care of yourselves!! yamas xx *:)-/-{

Hey I went in July n It WAS GREAT. In reply to the question, there are no more than three floors, but on the down side there are no lifts and unlie the admaral there are loads of stairs to get to the reception..torture

I would like to know how many storeys in the appartments of the Commodore complex, also if you have any photographs.

i had the most amazing time a the commodore, was there until the 25th July. Everything about it was brilliant...especially the night receptinoist Emiliano. If you are reading this emiliano, i do hope our plans still stand!! also do what you said you were going to..i'm waiting!! cody the barman was also great! had us laughing for hours! The rooms are nice with great views of argassi. i would definetly go back - i miss it loads already :( just need to start saving again now and next summer i'ii be back! also does anyone no the address or phone number of the commodore?

STAYED HERE MID JULY.VERY VERY NICE,HELPFULL STAFF,ROOM WAS KEPT SPOTLESS.COSTA IS VERY FUNNY N MAKES LOVELY SEX ON THE BEACH(COCKTAIL)...ADMERIAL APP NEXT TO IT WHICH U CAN GO TO AT NIGHT FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT WHICH IS DONE BRILLIANTLY BY PAUL WHO GETS YOU UP EVEN IF U DONT WANT TO-AS THERE IS NO ENTERTAINMENT IN THE COMMODORE.

stayed here in june and had a great time, everyone is so friendly .our room was kept spotless and the pool area is cleaned every morning.plenty of sun beds to go around which are also free!!.really close to shops bars etc, will definately be going back.

Sarah, Karen and Charlotte would just like to say that this hotel is excellent, especially with Nico the daytime receptionist........he is very yummy!!!!!! Despite the hotel being located up a hill we had the best time and now have a desperate case of the holiday blues!!!!! Boo to Zante airport tho.......what is that about!!???????

We are staying at the Commodore soon and we were wondering where the safety deposit boxes are situated and if the reception is manned 24 hours.
We would also appreciated any other information on the hotel and place.

By far the best apartments we have ever stayed in, couldnt fault it in any way, cleanliness was excellent and the view from our room was absolutely stunning! Two good pools to choose from and the poolside bar was great and staff were very friendly! A big hello to Rosie and Amanda from Scotland who are great girls and really made our holiday! The overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, with maid service 6 days a week, however where our room was situated was not so good, in the main corridor when it could become extremely noisy in the early hours, even though there were notices around asking for noise to be a minimum. The pool was excellent, but once again was disappointed as the brochure had stated that this was an adult focused hotel, which we found not to be the case. Codey made very very good cocktails so beware!!!!! Staff very friendly and welcoming.

WE WERE THERE FOR 2 WEEKS THIS YEAR WHAT A BALL WE ALL HAD IT WAS GREAT THE APARTMENT WERE REALLY NICE HAD EVERTHING YOU NEEDED,SELF CATERING NO PROBS , ALL THE STAFF WERE REALLY FRIENDLY SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO TELL MILIANO TO SMILE AND HE DOES, CODEY MAKES A REALLY MEAN VODKA FOR US SCOTS AND HIS COCKTAILS ARE GREAT BUT JUST DONT HAVE TOO MANY IN ONE NIGHT.THE WHOLE PLACE IS GREAT EVERYONE IS SO NICE TO U ALL THE TIME WE WILL BE GOING BACK .ASAP.NOT MUCH OF A BEACH NOT VERY BIG BUT DOES THE JOB;;;;;;;;;;;;;

We went for a week and had a great time. The only thing we did not enjoy was the airport at Zante. The apartment was great, the staff were all friendly and willing to help at all times, even reps from other companies. A must are Codies cocktails which get stronger each one you have. Entertainment staff, based at the Admiral, were great. We all had a great time and we are planning on returning next year for a longer stay when we plan to go exploring some more of this beautiful island.

hey every1. the comodore is very nice. ever1 who stays there seem 2 think it is very nice. if u go make sure if u have a family take them 2 the admiral at nite. there r party games and dances 4 an hour. ot is open 24/7 and has a gr8 atmosphere. all of the pools at the admiral and captains u can use. nite life at comodor quiet but friendly. paul does quizes about 2oclock every nite and works really hard. if u go make sure u give him tips as he works near enough all day and all nit.( and he has 2 sleep in a room like a prison cell). so have a good holiday if u stay at the commodore as u shud really enjoy it!

Katie here, forget my last note on the board, were in our second week in Zakynthos and having a ball. Quick note to say that the Commodore is a nice establishment. It has its own private pool but you may use the pools and other facilities of the Admiral and Captains, then again most hotels advertise that you can use there facilities too. Argassi is nice town, if your into nothing but 24/7 loud dance music and hard clubbing go to Laganas. But Argassi has good nightlife itself. The Frog on the main road has lovely food, but STAY AWAY from the Castaway restaurant. My mum and her friend had 2 undercooked meals and even though they couldnt eat it they still paid, yet the chef still came out and gave them a grilling (no pun intended). Me and my boyfriend tried it out and his meal was undercooked and it took 20mins to be served in a not-so-busy time of day and other tables were compaining. Anyway on a good note, the Keffelonia trip and Olympia trip was very good.
