Bars in Kalamaki

Sarah B  (01 June 2005)

We had a thoroughly crass stay at the Cavo Dora but still managed to have a good holiday. In part this is because Kalamaki is a lovely and relaxing, chilled place. The Mustang was a big part of what we enjoyed on our holiday. The lads there, Dave and Dan - Hi lads! Are real nice guys, nothing is too much trouble and it's the only place I found that could serve a decent coffee. We were a mixed group of adults and children and we were all happy there for ages, could really relax, have a natter and just enjoy. Mustang is not a pretentious place but does serve good food with a good attitude from the staff. It is also good value for money and offers plenty of choice. Keep it going folks and if I visit Kalamaki again I will be sure to call in - for a free coffee now please!

Richard A  (12 July 2004)

we liked this place, as a family of four it had something for all of us, nice to finish off with a drink here and good in the day too for internet and food!

Jeremy H  (04 July 2004)

stuart is the best damn bartender this side of laganas. he puts on a good show with the rest of the gang...sinaed, tass, donna and ted baker. great drinks, lots of free shots, and good tunes. 4 stars and two thumbs up!

Andrew C  (26 June 2004)

We wished to god that we had found this place earlier. As another review wrote. This place is the best if you have kids. The food was really good and the children's play area for keeping our two year old happy was a god send. Please can you have some mustard in next time we come for the already 1st class burger!

Lynsey B  (02 June 2004)

Agreat bar to visit if you have kids, and don't mind spending a bit to keep them happy and quiet! They have a pool table and computers, also internet access if you can't live without your computer.
The bar staff are friendly and it's a good place to relax and watch the world go by, with a mouth watering cocktail.

Gill B  (11 October 2003)

Great bar for the day time. Staff are bubbly and enthusiastic.Food was alwats good and served HOT and nice to get a mug of tea. It's funny but I normally steer clear of all thing English when away but we kept going back for more!
And they really seem to care for the poor animals that wondered in.
Music great during the day but why oh why do they have to turn the volume up at night - otherwide I'd have been in then as well.

Shazza   (01 October 2003)

This was definitely the best bar in Kalamaki. You are made to feel welcome by the staff, the music is good and is definitely not the same every night (like some of the other bars in Kalamaki!) and the drinks were reasonably priced. Great idea with those heaters! This place was always busy with people of different ages in there so it suits all. Would recommend this bar to anyone.

Wendy H  (07 September 2003)

Top bar, and very nice people. Hi to Tassos, Sinead, Julie and Got your number, Stuart!! Hope to see you again soon.

Andrew A  (18 August 2003)

This was probably our favourite bar in Kalamaki. The staff were really nice and seemingly at random they come round with trays of shots for everyone in the bar. They do some LETHAL cocktails as well. One I had consisted of gin, tequila, vodka, some other spirit, cherry liquer and apricot liquer. Can't even remember what it was called, must bave been p**sed!

Kirsty M  (03 August 2003)

A BIG HELLO TO TASOS,WE WERE DRINKING OUTSIDE HIS UNCLES EVERY DAY,SEE YOU NEXT YEAR,ITS A GOOD DAY TO GO FISHING FELY!!!!

Kerry B  (29 July 2003)

Well wot can i say, by far one of the 'BEST' bars in the whole of Kalamaki with Very friendly ENGLISH bar staff,Stu and Julie!!!! It made all the difference. This time last week myself and friend Sam were sat in Mustang Saloon bar enjoying our last nite with a couple of Alocholic drinks and mates we'd made over there, and wot am i doing now? sat inside cause its pouring it down,oh how i love the british summer!!!! NOT.
Not too sure if you remember us stuart but you gave us the card to make our comments on this site last week(22.07.03) we nearly missed our early morning pick up due to the hotelier in charge that nite not giving us the wake up call we asked for!!!(How kind)
Sam still can't get her mouth all the way round a shot glass, but i'm sure she'll have fun trying.
Thanks for a wicked holiday and some very strong, scrummy shots you made our evenings more entertaining!!
See you next Year!!!

I miss you guys loads but i am coming back there in a few days. It will be our third time. hope Taz and all the other bar staff remember us. see ya soon

Lynne N  (26 July 2003)

Had a few lovely breakfasts here, wish we had gon earlier as we only went the second week to eat. Used the internet from day one, great service, loved your wine while I surfed the net. Nice and friendly staff, especially Jo from Epping.

Barry H  (15 July 2003)

This place sells mainly shorts which are not the cheapest however if you have kids its ideal theres a playstation 2 with a large selection of games and an x box (not working) at quite cheap rates that can keep the kids occupied for a half hour/hour while to take a break and relax with a drink. The internet service is cheap and i had no trouble on a night getting connected however during the day was a waste of time. There is also a little playground out the back for the kids.

Tony M  (04 July 2003)

What a top bar.The breakfasts are without doubt, the best on the island.Great place to fill up before exploring this beautiful island. The nite is when the bar really comes alive, many a merry nite was spent drinking cocktails and slamming shots. The staff are really friendly,Especally julie the top bird from essex(sorry bout burning your hair girl)init!Would recomend it to anyone,of all ages.lovely!

Dave & Sandra  (01 July 2003)

Great bar in Kalamaki, wished we'd discovered you earlier. Thanks Sinead, Ju (essex babe), and Darius (Taz, half rice half chips, nice shed mate) for a great time. Excellent food (sausage cooked to perfection).Hope to see you next year. Best wishes Dave and Sandra XX.

Andrew P  (10 July 2002)

Mustang Saloon is a fantastic bar situated in the Heart of Kalamaki. All the bar staff are excellent and the atmosphere in there is so relaxing. It is a great place to meet new people and simply have a quiet drink watching the world go by as you look out onto the main street. Or if you are games orientated, there is plenty for you to do inside the Mustang. I must also mention that the Waitress service on an evening is second to none, Julie is a great laugh and makes everyone that comes into the bar feel very welcome, can't wait to go back and see the old faces again!!! The Free shots go down a treat too!

Jenna G  (05 June 2002)

Mandy   (20 March 2002)

The ideal bar for people watching and meeting up with friends, it is on the main street right in the middle. The staff are very friendly and tolerant of " drunken oldies". We met up most nights here and usually went back later for more beer and cocktails. A must are lunchtime snacks.
