Accommodation in Argassi

Dave H

A most excellent holiday in the first two weeks of August 2002. Dennis and Jenny are very friendly and Denise is a hoot.
Loved the Red Lion just down the road from the hotel and Tina was definitely fit.
The Beach isn't much but with the well maitained and clean pool at the Windmill you don't really think about it

Hayley W

The Windmill Studios will take some beating the atmosphere and the friendliness of these apartments is exceptional. Jenny and Dennis the owners will do everything to make your stay the best. We will certainly be going back to say hello to Denise who works behind the bar and makes the best cocktails ever and to the BBQ and Karoke night which is a scream! Yammas

Samantha G

We have just come back from the windmill studios and it was brilliant. Jenny and Dennis are very freindly and so are all the staff. The hotel is very clean and tidy and is situated not far from the shops and resteraunts. The entertainment at night is also good kareoke night and quiz night etc.

What a great place and the people are so friendly !!!! Stayed here 2nd July till 16th July 2002. Late deal - fab choice! Had a really good time. Our rep for First Choice was Chris and was a great help and a real laugh. The owners were very friendly. Denise (the waitress, long blonde hair) makes a mean Screwdriver!!!! Go to the Wednesday nights bar-b-q - really good laugh!. Oh - cigs are cheaper at the airport!!!!!! I have booked for next year in the same hotel. Great food - great times...........

My family and i will be staying at the windmill apartments in september but there are four of us and looking at this website it said that there are only three beds. Are there certain rooms to fit four or has the travel agent got it wrong? Please help as i dont fancy sleeping in a cot when i get there (i dont think i would fit)

Gaz G

we are going back to argassi for the 4th time soon and we love everything about the resort .perfect for couples and families alike.having visited different apartments and hotels in argassi we are visiting the windmill for the first time but we are expecting the same level of hospitality and warmth of welcome that only the greeks do so well.

Rimmer

Elaine - I suggest you contact the Windmill Apts directly at the website above, or try to book through Unijet or Aspro, in which case you should go to a UK travel agent. Very few hoteliers actually check this site out with regards to bookings etc..

Elaine K

I wish to enquire about availability of a single room from the 1st July to the 14th July, if you have availability I would be grateful if you could email me back with prices etc. If you don't I would also be grateful if you could email me tel no.s for local hostel, camp site, B&B or something similar. I'm meeting friends over there who are staying in the Admirals in Argassi so I would like to be close to them. Many Thanks Elaine Email Address:- elaine.khan@coillte.ie Postal Address:- 47 Branogue Park, Riverchapel, Gorey, Co. Wexford. Tel:- (01) 2011128/ (01) 2868712

Nick T

Very friendly and excellent food. Great for families. After going to the Windmill Apartments for the first time we immediately rebooked the day we returned to the UK.

Suzi R

These apartments are the best everyone is so nice and the management make you feel at home, the pool is clean and the bar is open most of the time for the rocket fuel the Greeks call Mthyos or something like that, its close to everything in Argassi i give it a huge thumbs up!!!!

Dave D

ATTN Alan Houlton. Alan, was your daughter still working at the windmill on 11th September? only remember one girl called Georgina there (between 12-15 years old) and I presumed she was Jenny's daughter. Does/did she work in the poool bar? Please reply to Email:davediggler46@hotmail.com

Just got back from 2 weeks at the windmill apartments. Apartments were what you would expect from Greece (basic). We had a sea view which was fantastic (Room 418), and the balconys are shared between 2 so seem much biggger than the pokey things you usually get. Pool was very nice and food around the pool was excellent (recommend bacon and salad roll, mmmm). Would love to go back next year if possible. Best holiday yet. Location of the apartments is perfect too.

Andy R

great place close to beach, town etc but far enough away so not noisy. apartments clean and fine for two but ours was cozy with three. pool great..we used other pools near to sea small charge but ok. beach thin or wot? plenty of other beaches within striking distance. trips great but arrange yourself in town as tour companies charges lots over the top. q ? why do brits abroad want big boys breakfast and brit pubs and towels on sun beds at 7am yuk argassi and zakynthos great place, great people great weather and windmill worth a return visit.

Andrew W

Very friendly, excellent pool, Dennis is a top bloke, a very enjoyable stay at the Windmill. Watch out for Captain Webb in (her !!) goggles ..

Julie H

Very impressed with the place, good size pool which never seemed to get crowded even when full of people on lilos. Apartments clean and Dennis & Co very friendly (we'll be back for more free pints of Mythos!)

Martin S

Very basic for S/Catering eg no kettle, toaster etc. We had a great view of the pool area and the sea (5 min walk). Beach only as wide as a sun bed, but very clean and safe for the kids. Cleaners will wake you up from around 8 am!(noisy). Try the Venetsiana reataurant (onto the main road, left 100 mts. Classy, live music, good food and good price. Try the Oasis (British) Bar, the staff are great, it's nice and cool, they serve a mean cocktail (watch out!). Ken and Jude are very friendly. All in all a good place to go.

Simon R

Appartments clean and better than previous hols. Unfortunately we had no sea view but were at the quieter back. Short walk to the beach, supermarket (turn right at bottom of hill/main road)and bars. Crazy guy and women at supermarket. Dennis at the windmill is good sort but went off on one when some lads decided to spray the fire extinguisher at 3:00 am (a one off event)

Me and my girl friend will be going to the windmill apartments at the start of september. We are both in our early 20's so how will we find the resort?

Steve C

This will be our 5th visit to the Windmill Studios and we can honestly say we've enjoyed everyone of them. The kids enjoy it and spend most of their time in the pool or at the beach.Jenny and Dennis make you feel very welcome every time.

We stayed at the Windmill apts 12th June. It is a few minutes walk to the beach, but i can say that the beach really is a strip of sand/shingle.Nothing special at all. the best part we thought for the children was to take a right at the bottom of the drive, walk down to the shop and opposie is a gap. If you walk down there there is a shallow pool of water ideal for paddling in and it is quite sandy there, ideal for walking into the sea. The apts are clean, some have showers, some have baths depending on the size of the room. They were clean and we had a lovely view of the pool and the sea. The food was nice and fairly varied and not too pricey. The nightlife is a 5 minute walk, although road is a bit dodgy when you've got pushchairs. I'd go again, shame about the beach though. If you go on free bus to St Nick beach, from The Wreck Pub-Be prepared to buy your sunbeds when you get there, otherwise you can't get on the bus home. Plattens and the Rivetts

Alan H

My daughter, Georgina has gone out to Zakynthos today to work for Jenny at the Windmill Apartments. She is really looking forward to it, and reading all these positive comments has made me feel that she will be very happy there. Thanks to everyone !

David M

Doug the main problem with the beach is that it's very narrow. There is a restaurant/bar on the front called the "Waves" bar run by Panayotis. He hires out sun beds etc in a garden area looking onto the watersports part of the beach, which is quite handy. There aseveral brillant beaches within taxi distance I.E. Porto Roma, Porta Zorro,St Nicholas, Banana Beach, Dafni, Gerakas. As you can see you are spoilt for choice.

Hello, i am going to the Windmill apartments at the end of August, what are the rooms like inside, is there bath/shower etc... Also i am going with my partner, we are early 20's, are there a mixture of ages there??

Doug H

Thanks for those comments. Just one more question, I hear the beach is mainly shingle, is it a reasonable beach or would you recomend travelling to another? how far? many thanks!

Connie B

We have just returned from there yesterday. We were lucky enough to have a room at the back with a lovely view, but I should imagine it would be quite noisy on the pool side. We actually went to the pool across the road as it was much quieter. The rooms are fairly basic as in most Greek Islands but very clean. We didn't eat much there but what we had was good. The staff were very friendly. If you want any more info please e-mail me on cetta2000@hotmail.com

Doug H

We are going to stay at the Windmill apartments soon, can anyone say what the rooms are like? is the beach within easy reach and what is the local food like?

Mo W

I am staying in the windmill studios apartments, argassi during the middle of august 01. I have a youngish family, are the apartments suitable.

Jason W

We stayed here from 7-14 june 01, The loacation is good as it's quiet enough but the action is only just down the road. Local people are very friendly and will do anything to help you.

Tracy M

Thanks for that Yvonne and Anthony, I'm glad to hear that you had a good time. Two weeks tomorrow before we go, can't wait. Thanks again x

Yvonne W

Dear Tracey, We returned from the Windmill Apartments on 31.05.01. The apartments are located at the end of a drive but it is certainly not a hill. The best thing is that on arrival you are met at the end of the drive and your luggage is driven up. The beach is also okay. You'll enjoy your stay. Yvonne & Anthony Williams

Yvonne W

A lovely friendly and welcoming place to stay. Excellent swimming pool, great food, cleanliness throughout. Looking forward to a return visit next year.

Tracy M

We are going to Windmill Apartments in 3 weeks, can anyone tell me if they are on a bank and also what is the beach like across the road.

Maria P

ref connie bell just got back 29.05.01 windmill apartments are located within the centre of argassi.so don't worry there is no 20 min walk(unless you walk to zante town)

Connie B

I was told it was a 20 minute walk to Argassi from the apartments. Is it really only 5 minutes away?

Macer B

Excellent holiday, loved every minute of it.Dennis, Jenny and Denise made us very welcome, and we met some great guest there also. See you later in the year!

The G

We loved it! It was clean, friendly and a great place to make new friends. The pool was brilliant, and the supermarket at the end of the path sells everything that you could possibly need!

Nick D

Very nice apartments. Clean and far enough from the centre for a bit of peace although only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Argasi. Dennis and Jenny made us very welcome and we've booked again for this year.
