Roseland Hotel

Accommodation in Kalamaki

We just returned from Zante on Monday, and had a very relaxing time in the sun. The hotel was superb, very clean and comfortable, with really helpful & trustworthy staff. Dorella makes a wicked cocktail - well worth a try! Only snag is the proximity to the airport... about 5 minute drive!

Having just returned from Zante I can state that the Roseland is an excellent hotel and we have already booked for next year! If anybody would like in-depth information about The Roseland or Zante in general then please do not hesitate to EMail me at LATCT@btinternet.com.

Have just returned from 14 night stay at Roseland Hotel - couldn't fault it. Building works nearby not a problem. Kalamaki Beach is lovely (and quiet)and the fresh fruit salad is a must! Would recommended The Mermaid Restaurant on Kalamaki Road or Zepphos (nr. Crystal Beach).

Hello, just thought I'd introduce myself to any jmc guests that are due to stay at the Roseland this summer. I'm actually the rep. at the hotel and i've seen theres a few comments about the building work opposite and what an ideal opportunity just to let anyone travelling soon whats going on. Basically as previous comments here state, the block opposite is now actually a painted shell and theres very little work going on now that really affects the hotel. There are screens along the poolside @ Roseland so this blocks a lot of the visual impact too. Hotel is fabulous for couples & familys alike ... and yes I can confirm that Dorella make THE BEST COCKTAILS!! Just pack the paracetamols for the morning after!! See you soon Angela

Thanks for the information Andrew, we are relieved to see that the hotel is getting such good reports and we are now looking forward to our holiday next week - especially the cocktails!!

Have just returned from Roseland Hotel. We found the building work to be minimal. The shells are erected and painted and therefore there is virtually no noise or dust in our opinion. The beach is nearby and the centre of Kalimaki only a few minutes walk away. We definately would recommend the hotel and its COCKTAILS!!

We are due to stay at the Roseland in 12 days time. We have been to Zante several times before but not to the Roseland. Can anyone who has been recently update us on the building work going on (dust, noise, unsightly etc, any activities available for a 12 year old at the hotel and any other info that might be interesting. Thanks

Just returned from here. Disruption from building work is minimal. There is far more noise from aircraft landing nearby. Fortunately good double glazing and air-conditioning means this is not a problem. Otherwise it is a very quiet location. Rooms are on the small side, but are modern, well equipped, comfortable, and are cleaned daily. Pool area is spacious and never crowded. Five minutes walk to the beach, but it's quite a long walk into the centre of Kalamaki. You will probably want to get a taxi back. Birds nesting around the hotel provide an entertaining display in the early evening.

I was also booked into the Roseland for July and had the chance to change to Dennys Inn. I was lucky that my sister in law was over there last week (2-9 June) and looked at the building work going on opposite the Roseland. She went on the Sunday and found that they were working on the site, also there was quite a bit of noise and dust, and although there is a bit of screening it's still a building site!!! She then went and checked out Dennys Inn, which she found to be very nice. I can now say that I have changed over to Dennys Inn. Hope this helps. Dave Miller

we are booked into this hotel for 2 weeks in july and have just been informed that there is building work opposite - this appears to be the case for the hotel Metaxa also - could anyone give any information as to the extent of this building work and also give a location of Denny's Inn plus the type of accomodation of Denny's as we have been given the opportunity to change our accommodation - as we have not visited zante before, obviously we want to make the right choice of holiday

we had a auperb holiday here last august. Very clean and modern hotel. Staff were very friendly. Food served at lunchtime was excellent and cheap.Pool was cleaned every day. Hotel rooms had t.v (English movies late at night) Fridge, deposit box, hair dryer in bathroom. Air conditioning was most welcome.(You have to have all doors closed, outer door, mosquito door, louvre door and glass door! for air conditioner to operate. If you need any more info, email my daughter at hippychick200@hotmail.com.

Stayed at the Roseland last June. Located off the main road at the Lagana end of the resort. Some bars and restaurants located close by on the main road but the majority are slightly further away in the centre of the resort (within 10 -20 minute walk). It is a new hotel, the staff are friendly and the hotel clean. There were limited activities for children although they were working on it. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would visit a

I don't know what its like but you asked where it was. Just up the road (rear entrance) from Dennys Inn opposite (I think) to the Metaxa Hotel, so you are in the same area as you were for your last visits.
