Tim & Jason were excellent,absolute top boys. They had very good knowledge about the places visited & the island in general, we had a brilliant day, lots of stops, the food was good,the whole day was enjoyed by all my family, if you do nothing else in zante you must go on the zante insight jeep safari. 

Anyone going to Zante- Do this 'Zante Insight' safari!!!!!! We had such a brilliant day. It was definately one of the highlights of our holiday!! You go 2 some beautiful places (such as the shipwreck) n plus you go to places that other 4x4 places dont go to (cuz Jasons uncle owns the land). N the guys let u get out at loadsa stops (unlike some other jeep trips we saw go by)! N as 4 Tim n Jason- they r so funny! They know so much about the island and make it a gr8 day out.

Hiya everyone the jeep safari was great especially if you dont mind getting a little wet over the water fights you have between the jeeps. The best part of the safari is the off road dust track you get thrown around alot but it is great fun it gets a little scary when the drivers get a little to close the edges but you can trust them completly. the views from the mountains are absolutly amasing and the driver(tim) makes a great tour guide especialy at the 12 wells where he through water over half the people there. the water fight we had lasted all day and we where abol to stop at diffrent places so we could ambush the other jeeps (until they both grouped together and picked on our jeep) .. Near the end of the day tim and jason started racing the jeeps and tim was pushing jasons jeep from behind so we couldnt resist but to through water straight at every one in the back of the jeep  on the way home jason started throwing u dust clouds with the jeep because we had soacked them all with water so by the end of the day we where absolulty covered in dust we are coming back to zakynthos next year so i hope to go on the safari again because it is great fun!!! and if you are wondering wheather to go on the zeep safari you should because it would make the highlight of your holiday

what a brilliant experience, driving through areas of outstanding beauty and legend, you provided us with an insight into what Zakyinthos really is, a jewel of the Greek crown. This is the way everyone should see the island, you are a pair of stars who provided lots of fun and some hair raising moments for all, in fact the bruised butts have only just got the feeling back into them you may well have noticed that the comfort box is only ticked as average, them land rovers are definately not built for comfort, but it was well worth the pain to fully appreciate 'the only way to see Zakyinthos'.

What can I say, The jeep safari was the best day of our hols, Jason and Tim were brilliant drivers and guides. We went with friends so there was 11 of us, it was their first time on a jeep safari and they could not believe how much fun they had, by the way Jason ,Young Robert is fine now ( after being sick ).

HI JASON AND TIM, WELL WE ARE BACK IN LIVERPOOL AND AS USUAL THE WEATHER IS MISERABLE.  I'M SAT IN WORK, MY FIRST DAY BACK THINKING OF YOU TWO SPEEDING ABOUT IN YOUR JEEPS SOAKING EVERYONE WITH THOSE WATER GUNS.

We went on the Safari with Jason and Tim and it was easily the best day of our holiday! The sights that you see around the island were brilliant, the shipwreck / highest point of the island / where you stop for swimming were all absolutely stunning, but the day is about so much more than that! Both the guides were really friendly and really added to the day, as we had a bit of banter going with them, talked a lot of football with Jason, and had a water-fight at the lunch stop which continued all afternoon and involved ambushing the other jeep with lots of water bottles ! It was also good that each of the guides talked about the history of various places, both factual and mythical, and Jason also gave us a few stories of his own about the town he grew up in! Some of the best bits of the day were the off-roading, the drivers threw the jeeps around as much as poss but we always felt ok with them  If anyone is thinking of doing this excursion, DO IT (Zante Insight not Zakfari), it was only 36 € each as we got a group discount. The day was amazing, and we met up with the guides twice before we went home, and are still in contact now! Top blokes, top day!

YOU VISIT ALL THE TINY VILLAGES, SEE BREATH-TAKING VIEWS, DO SOME WINE TASTING, HAVE A SWIM STOP IN A BEAUTIFUL COVE, YOU SEE THE SHIP-WRECK FROM ABOVE, STOP FOR LUNCH, VISIT A MONASTRY,SEE THE CAVES, SEE THE WELLS, SEE THE OLDEST OLIVE TREE, AND MUCH MUCH MORE. WE ALSO HAD A WATER FIGHT. YES YOU ARE TOLD A LOT OF THE HISTORY OF THE ISLAND BUT IT IS BY NO MEANS BORING. WEAR YOUR TRAINERS! A must do on your holiday. We went on the half day jeep safari to the shipwreck cove  & bluie caves with zante insight & it was the best thing we done on the holiday. Tim the driver was awsome, took us on some off road'in on the way there & back & was great fun! Only cost 25euros & was great value for money. If we had more time we would of done the full day excursion aswell as some of our friends did & they agree it was great. So if you're thinking of doing the jeep safari then definaltly go for it cuz you wont be disapointed!

Best Trip on the island had a great day Cheers to Pete the Driver who was great!  the tour guide was excellent and had great local knoweldge and made it a Fun day. if you do book this make sure its with Zakfari cus its an open jeep. By far the best way of seeing the island and the Turtles which we saw from the island bar in laganas on the first stop also a great view of the shipwreak well worth the money!

Just a quick line to all who might be interested...... despite what holiday reps may tell you, there is more than one fully insured and licenced Jeep Safari company on the island. It pays to shop around before you make your decision to book. Why not try Zante Insight Jeep Safari. They also use open sided Land Rovers so you get the sights, sounds and aromas of the island. They can be found at the Information Centre on Laganas main road.

Went on the jeep safari round the island with Paul. What a fantastic day definetly worth doing and the best day from our entire holiday!

   Ignition Alarm Day - An excellent day trip.  Unfortunately, our jeep had ignition problems but this problem was dealt with quickly and professionally and we had a new jeep within half an hour.  Our driver, Peter, was very interesting and knew lots of information about the island.  A true gentleman!  Simon, who was our guide for the day, had only been doing the job for a week but he was a natural - a born storyteller!  All in all a very enjoyable day and highly recommended.  Thanks Team Zakfari.

We went on Zakfari in May . We were on the (dodgy coil trip 1).It was a fab day ,the best of the holiday . Many thanks to Peter my husband was not able to do the walks so Peter kept him company . The jeeps are very comforable and well looked after . We would do the trip again

WOW - what a laugh - we had Ed as our driver, from Surrey, and he sure knew how to hit every bump and skid around every corner - recommend it - great fun!

hey zakfari is the best way around the island - you dont wana know how many times i had to say that a week bein a rep. Paul and lee were excellent guides just one thing - DONT WEAR A SKIRT!! yes i know everyone had a good laugh at me but i learnt my lesson.cant believe i didnt see you guys thru the season i left olympic and went to work for libra but may be comin back next year!

Roadworks day. We went on a number of trips and Zakfari was by far the best. If you are looking for a trip thats value for money and a fun day out this is it. Its a fun way to explore the island and all the guides are english. I would recomend this trip to anyone.

Peter's Last Day......What a brilliant day we had on Zakfari. If you do nothing else on Zakynthos, you MUST do Zakfari. Don't go on the other three Jeep Safaris, use the originals, British owned, insured, operated, driven, and the only safari with a proper guide. We were lucky enough to have the English guide who lives full time on Zante, as well as Pete who was an absolute gentleman and excellent on/off road driver. We had great fun as Pete chucked the Land Rover about, sometimes fast, sometimes bumpy, yet always 100% safe and secure. From the minute he picked the four of us up he made us feel right at home, promised us an excellent experience and delivered all that and more. Like I said already, a top class driver and a gentleman all the way, very knowledgable and a pleasure to talk to. These Land Rovers are specially converted in the UK to seat 13 passengers and the driver. They have open cabs and backs, but with a cover for bad weather and a very substantial roll cage, as well as safety belts for all passengers. The other safaris use standard enclosed and open Land Rovers, and one uses old Toyota Land Cruisers, but there's nothing to beat using vehicles custom built for the job, and with V8 power for tricky situations!. The vehicles are driven home each year at end of season and fully refurbished for next season. So as well as being insured in both the UK and Zakynthos, they are also superbly maintained for our safety and security,,,very impressive. We covered virtually the whole island, going to places that no tour bus can go and learning lots about the sites, folklore, etc. The other drivers in our 4 vehicle convoy were Debbie, Spiros and Paul, the owner of the company. I'm going on a bit, but can't stress enough just how much my wife, myself and the kids, Danielle (12) and James (10) enjoyed the day, and just what excellent value it was too. A note that your reps will forget to tell you when you book, take a good strong pair of trainers or boots as you will walk on some rough terrain, take swim gear in the hot weather as there's a swim stop too, and take drinking water, preferably in a cool box as it get's dusty and hot. What ever you do, don't miss this, and hopefully Pete will come back for another season too! Hope you got home safely Pete, and all the best to all the team from the four of us.

ZAKFARI. What a brilliant day! (Gary Lineker day) Everyone was mad and funny, but none more so than Lee from Leeds our driver. Think we got the most reckless one, which is what you want on a rough off road trip! The previous nights heavy rain created much high speed muddy puddle fun for Lee, and a nice cooling off for us in the back. Anyone precious would hate this trip, If youve got a sense of humour youll love it. The best way to see the Island by far. Cheers Zakfari! XX

i have friends staying in argassi at the moment,and they would very much like to do the zakfari trip ,which is the one we went on just 2 weeks ago(seems a long time now we are back in work).What we need to know is where can they book zakfari in argassi.we stopped in kalamaki so i cant help them.any help would be appreciated.

Flipflop repair day,well i have to say this was awesome our driver lee the yorkshire man was brill what a laugh,he was such a crazy driver,driving through the bushes and creating loads of dirt he even shows you jimmy sommervilles house Ha Ha!!!
Also watch out for passing elephants we were sat at the back which we thought was best place to sit you get a sore butt mind.
10/10 classic fun.

I chose to gon on the Jeep safari for my birthday, we had an absolutle excellant laugh and thanks to Louis go back safely. Will be going on another when we go back to Zante next year. Its a must!!!! but not for the faint hearted or those who don't travel too well......

we went on the jeep safari on thursday 2nd September ,Paul was our driver and guide .It was a brillant day out , we had a laugh if you believe some of the stories they tell , I wouldn't recommend it for people with walking diffulties as there is a lot of walking , which you need to do to see the best views ever. we took our 13yr & 6 yr yr daughters with us . our 6yr old put most of the adults to shame by walking easily over the rocks . If you go on this trip take trainers !!! well worth the money. thanks again .

this is the best day out iv ever had, it was brilliant! i went with zakfari in an open topped jeep, it was so much fun! driving off road on tracks through zakynthos seeing the sights that tourists dont usually get to see! the driver/guide, lee, was a hoot he had my son in sitches all day with his far fetched tales! expensive but well worth it!

We went with Jeep Discovery, fab fun day. Glad to be in covered jeep as heat and dust would have been unbearable in open top, there are some open top tours so beware. We got to see parts of island that only locals could find. Guides gave us loads of local info and history. Bit hair raising on some of the roads at speed, especialy the edge of the cliff,nice view big drop! They take you every were,plenty of stoppes for swimming at nice beaches off usual tourist route. Lunch at resturant not included in price but reasonable cost menue and nice food.
I would recomend this trip, it was the best fun we had, not good if you have back or neck problems because you do get bounced about a lot

what a fantastic time we had! and yes i have to agree that luis helped the day!!!!! he he. the cute well gorgeous south african. we did it with the jeep discovery??? well we went in the big orange trucks, sorry, jeeps!!!! we paid 40e and it was worth every penny. great way to see the island and its people and swim in quiet places and jump of rocks. had a terrible experience in grand canaria but am so changed in my opinion of jeep excursions now!!!!

Had an excellent day out. Think we were lucky as we ended up with Lee who, despite getting lost on the pick-ups from the hotels first thing, managed to navigate his was around the island brilliantly, adding extra off-road trips and creative narrative (don't believe a word of it). The views are amazing, especially smuggler's cove, and the dip in the sulphur Cave at the end was refreshing, to say nothing of still trying to wash the smell out of our clothes (don't wear your best swimming costume!).
Tips: take plenty of water, take plenty of film, take factor 30, and a hat that will stay on your head despite the strong breeze you get from sitting in an open top jeep!

We went with ZAKFARI and they were fantastic. Well worth the money and a great day out. Some of the craziest myths/stories that ive heard - recommended.

Ok, so it seems that everyone else mentioned every other jeep Safari but the Jeep Discovery on Zante which is no doubt as good as the rest! You get to see some of the magnificent views on the island and is a lot more fun for those of you who want to see the island with a bit more bump and grind then a normal island tour!! And with a very cute South Afircan driver who could ask for more to make the day fantastic xxx

Just got back from Zante - had a great time, made even better by the safari. Went on 'coronation' day - had a ball, saw loads of the island and the tour guides were great. Would highly recommend it.

I also went on Bettle Day and if you do only one excursion then you have to do this one. The off roading was great and you see most of the island and some of the views are amazing. A big thumbs up!

We went on Bettle Day and it was excellant the sites you see are fab but what is really great are the Tour Guides. Dionass was the best off road driver ever! If you looking for an excellant day out then This is by far the best excursion 10/10

We had a great time, would recommend you go. We had the greek driver who spoke no english so a bit quiet, but drove like a madman over the mountains! Never had so much fun, and the tour guide was great!
Enjoyed the storm, timed it well was over lunch!

A brilliant chance for parents to get back at their kids. If you go you'll find out what I mean. Its brill to sit back and let the lads take the strain.
You'll visit some beautiful places off the beaten track with excellent company and lose all your worries and track of time for the day.

"Be afraid, be very afraid", as we wrote in the log book at the end of our trip. This was a fantastic day. We were a little worried about the cost (50 Euro for adults and 25 Euro for kids), but we had a fantastic time.

We visited Keri Lighthouse, Keri Caves, Shipwreck bay, Long Beach island, an old olive press, amongst other fantastic inland scenery.

Best of all were the water pistol and water fights between the two jeeps. You get very, very wet and it takes you back to being a 12-year-old again.

Andreas and Les, our two drivers, were very good and kept us informed on where we were going and made sure we were well looked after.

If you have kids, you must book this trip. The kids loved every minute of it and wanted to go again the following day.

Take lots of sun cream, a good hat and a swimming costume and enjoy.

How do I go about booking with PDQ tours? I am visiting Zante in July and have booked with Direct holidays and I don't know if they do a jeep safari.

IVE BEEN TO THIS ISLAND A FEW TIMES AND IVE GOT TOO SAY THAT THIS EXPERIENCE OF THE PDQ JEEP SAFARI WAS WITHOUT DOUBT ONE OF THE BEST DAYS IVE HAD FOR A LONGTIME. THE DAY WAS FULL OF WONDERFUL SIGHTS AND LOTS OF LAUGHING FROM START TO FINISH AND THE 3 DRIVERS BOBBY ANDREAS AND JASON WELL YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO TRY IT OUT FOR YOURSELVES AND SEE WHAT IAM GOING ON ABOUT.BEST MONEY IVE SPENT WHILST IN ZANTE. If this was the tour run by Mr Bobby and partner, it was brilliant!! We visited loads of lovely places and even had time for a swim at the end of the day.
P.S Wear old clothes and prepare to get very, very WET!!!!!!!!!!
