Best restaurant in Argassi by a long mile.... we ate here twice durning our 2 week stay and considering we only discovered it on our 3rd last day says it all....As a famliy of 5 we had starters mains and drinks and the price was just as good as the food...We recommend that everyone gies off the beaten track to find this place..You wont be dissapointed.
Hope this little taverna is still open. We visited in 2004, its off the beaten track but typically greek which is what we liked. The surroundings are lovely as it is set in a garden with lemon trees. The food was very good and service was excellent. Comin back in 2 weeks will definately be eating there if it is open. |
Not easy to find but well worth the effort. Very busy when we arrived but we were looked after well. Good choice of traditional food and the 2 dishes we tried were excellent.
Very good family tavern with excellent cooking, and good prices - but the price is secondary i guess. The tavern is located 50m away to the center of Argassi, in a nice garden, must find it! It is in the centre, but very quiet, far from the motorbikes noise. In the garden there are so much lime and lemon trees.
Had several meals here all of which were excellent. Would reccommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good qaulity food at great prices.
Looking for excellent, traditional greek food and a quiet place to enjoy it - this is the place! Don't miss it when you are in Argassi!
This is a lovely friendly family run Grill House. The food is simple but delicious with a good selection of fish and chicken dishes as well as the steaks and souvlakis. Would definately recommened it.
hello,we went for 2 weeks to argassi and ate here most nights.Food was fantastic very good value as was the wine. The service from Dennis and Nico was excellent even though they were very busy. The kids meals were also excellent value.Would recommend all meals especially the greek platter. The setting in the olive groves was perfect(it was August)but watch out for the mossies and the cats !
Really enjoyed seating outside under the olive trees added something special to the night The food was great and arrived very quickly with a big smile from the waiter Dennis we will see you all next year
We came across this place by chance when we took a wrong turn. A lovely traditional Greek Taverna, brilliant and reasonably priced food in a great setting. Shame it probaby loses out by being in a back street.
traditional greek food every time we ate here we had great service and the food was out of this world and at such a great price. Its just a shame its not on the main road it is easily missed. I highly reccomend you try this restaurant.
Couldnt say a bad word against it,you take a horse and carriage ride from the main street by the head of the family and waited on by the gorgeous dimitrious, whom is very fond of the ladies, set in a beautiful olive grove surrounded by greek family life and absolutly amazing food, the smell follows you to the bustling nightlife on the main street,i went last year 2002 aug 2nd and i hope to go again this summer!
Situated on a back road behind the main resort, but only five minutes walk from the main front road. Walking up the main street off the front road, turn right at Hotel Palmyra, at the end of this road on the corner at the right. Doesn't look like much, but it is good! Tables are set in a small olive grove with subtle lighting. Food is excellent, wine is good, and prices a lot lower than the other eating houses in town, and no hastle to drag you in from the road. Staff must be some of the best and most polite in Argassi. Only downer is that all the tables are outside, so not great on a chilly or damp night. Bring a cardie!
