Great food, Great service

 We had a great time here! The food was superlicious and the service fantabidoso! bring on the Mezes!

We have just returned from Zakynthos once more and were served well as usual from the gang at Maina. the choice is still brilliant and my girlfriend maintains they make the best pizza on the island. The Greek Meze was fantastic but too big for us this time. We usually settled for something light -SOME Pitta with SOME Tatziki to start with. We can't fault anything they serve in here. Bill even brought us some extra wine at the end of our meal as it was raining and we obviously weren't going anywhere.

what a find... we ate here about 3 or 4 times in the two weeks. Caeser chicken salad was fabulous as I didn't want anything heavy and I hate leaving half a plate of food!!!! This did not happen with the salad.

Hi everyone at the Maina. Cant come to see you this year but sending daughter (Amy) and her boyfriend (Phil) to visit you on June 14th. They are staying at the Mediteranee. Have told them to come over to you and sit at table 31! Wish we were coming too! Love to all of you from Wales!  

Well back again after another 2 weeks in tsilivi. As usual the restaurant was excellent. We had a different meal every night and it was all fantastic, even our friends agreed and they would'nt eat anywhere else. The service was great, as usual, and Thananis is a superb chef, keep it up. Will be seeing you soon, missing you Rachel, Billy take care of her, see you soon as well. Give our love to Anna and Thanansis.

This was our second time in Tsilivi and we ate here nearly every night both times. The quality of the food, the service and the warm friendly welcome from all the staff kept us coming back night after night. This place deserves 100/10 every time! Everything on the Greek menu is excellent and my son lived on the mixed grill which is out of this world! My youngest (aged 9) lived on the spaghetti bolognaise (with extra sauce)! We always sat on table no 31, away from the main road in a cooling sea-breeze.

We had very nice steaks here on the night we arrived, a good start.

Spent 2 fantastic weeks in Tsilivi which were made better by the quality food at the Maina restaurant. Typically Greek with a little touch of English elegance (yes you Rachel). My family and I were made very welcome and we will certainly be returning again as I can't waite to have another one of your cheese pies!!!

If you haven't been here before you must try it.

    just got back from zante and eaten in maina restaurant everynight, food as usual is excellent, service is fantantastic and staff are very friendly, first class chef, we tried most dishes on the menu and cannot find any fault at all. the wine is excellent, and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. will see you all again in august for 2 weeks. love to you all, lorraine, eddie and hayley. xx

I first went to Tslivi 11 years ago and ate at the Maina every night. Then I went back 8 years ago and ate at the Maina every night. Went back again last year in June and - yes - you guessed it - I ate at the Maina everynight. I think that speaks for it self. The food is great, the staff are excellent - they cannot do enough for you. The atmosphere is one of pure enjoyment. I am on my way back to Tslivi next week (18th June) again for 2 weeks and I will be eating at the Maina again - and I cant wait for my lamb chops!!!! So to Vasilis, Antonis and Sonny - get those lolli pops ready because Lauren and her 2 daughters Charlotte and Maddie are on their way back to see you guys!! I'll have the usual Antonis please - a bottle of Amstel and 2 bottles of Sprite! See you next week XX

be seeing this place after all . Hopefully 2006 will be a really good year . Should be FANTASTIC !

We ate here on several occassions while on holiday in Tsilivi and we were very impressed with the food and the wine. We always drank the house red and if any thing it was one of the nicer one we had with our evening meal. As for the food no complaints at all it was excellent plenty of taste and you never had to wait long for each course. The waiters were an asset to the restaurant, polite and very friendly especially Vasilis. Could not fault the prices either.

Am surprised at the comment below, we’ve just returned to Tsilivi for the second time this season and have found the food and service at Maina to be far superior to the other places in town. The portions are all on the large side too, so I can’t imagine what size of an appetite can’t be filled by them! As for the prices, they are on par with most of the places around and as Adonis will tell you at least you’re not paying to give yourself stomache ache which is often the case with cheaper restaurants here. If you walk past Maina you are missing a real treat and the staff will make you laugh your heads off! I thoroughly recommend it and we are on our way over there again right now…….

I'm going to break the trend here, but the meal we ate in maina was the worst of our holiday.  we ordered a greek special for 2, it wasnt anywhere near enough, but that made no difference as the food was not of the best quality and not even thoroughly heated.  our deal included a half bottle of wine, which was undrinkable and I usually drink most things! Maybe it was a one off, but i wouldnt be persuaded to eat (or drink!) there - ever.
