Admiral Hotel

Hi just returned from a week at the Admiral could not fault this hotel, the rooms were very clean and the sheets and towels changed at least twice in a week, staff behind reception very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located up a slight hill but nothing to worry about plenty of shops and resturants nearby. The entertainment was good for both the adults and children. Snack bar ok for a basic snack. Resort great and caters very much for children. Enjoyed our week and would recommend this hotel.

Hi just back from a week at the Admirals in Argassi.  Weather was up in the 40's every day, much hotter than reported. Location was excellent only a stones throw from everything. Hotel was cleaned on a regular basis, and yes you do have shower curtains. Some rooms do have air con at a price of  €40 for 7 days and badly needed. Food at pool bar not great. There is very little of a hill up to Admirals you would not even notice it. Had a ball and cant wait to go again.

Hey the admiral is the place to be, we were there for 2 wks (end of may beginning of june). Accomodation great, very clean, dnt believe the stories bout no showers on the wall and no shower curtains! Plenty of pubs and restaurants near by to suit all. But if its hotel entertainment your after, then definately get urself to the admiral, sam and stef are the BOSS!!! The staff in general are fantastic. Say hello to sam, stef and aleco, (miss u all loads) from jenna, john and craig from scotland if you are visiting this summer.  We loved it so much were booking up 4 another 10 days in august. Honestly an amazin place. U will not be disapointed.

If anyone has any concerns over mosquitoes then you could try AVON skin-so-soft dry oil body spray (soft and fresh) they also do showergel (soft and fresh) mosquitoes hate it. I read about this in a book, and it was reccommended by a doctor. spray a little oil on the back of your knees and arms, rub it in. you can also spray a little on a hankie and keep it in your bag when going out on a night, as that is when they are out most. also insect repelent sun lotion and after sun lotion is good. to help prevent stomach bugs, whilst away, dont drink the water, and that includes icecubes!! try eating bio yoghurt before your holidays as it will give your stomach a good chance of keeping away infection. by taking vitamin c before and during your holiday, would help to boost your immune system. this all might sound a bit silly, but it all works!! i hope this has has all been useful information

Hey everyone i stayed in the admirals in july 2005 it was the best holiday i have been on - the staff worked really hard to make everyone happyyy. I loved joining in with the water volleyball & lilo races - the entertainment staff and barstaff are all remembered by me - not that they remember me  Anyway - I'd recommend staying here and im only 16

Can anyone tell me whether you can get a bus to Bochali, I have heard that it is a lovely place, and a must to visit I would love to hear of some comments on the place Thanks Valerie .G.

valerie u have made a great choice and you will not regret it i assure u of that. the tremmors are fun to experience once u get used to the the Admiral is ace and if you dont like the place and the people you need your head testing (no offence or owt) i am going back in the summer so what does that tell you.

The buildings in zante have to be built to take a quake of 10 so they are all safe. they only get large 6.4 like on the 18th of october around about 6 to 7 years. you get small tremors all the time most of them you wouldnt even feel. I will be going back again next year for the 5th year, this is a great hotel with fantastic staff who will do anything for you. So dont worry val  

Does anyone have any information about the tremors in zante? Is it anything to be cocerned about? We are due to visit there next August

To reply to Valerie, we stayed in the Admiral in August and with young children out of the 2 weeks there was only 1 night when there was alot of noise ,but the crowd responsible were leaving the following day so I think it was more of last night party and they did quieten down after I screamed at them from the balcony! I'm sure you'll have a great time as we did. 

Hi What a great time we had again. The staff are fantastic  the rooms are cleaned everyday. 3rd time in 4 years we have stayed here and we will be back again next year. Love to all the staff in admirals commadore and captains miss you all already, Hope you have a nice relaxing winter, and all the shaking as finished so sam can get a good nights sleep

My family and I have booked 2 weeks at the Admiral hotel Argassi next summer. After reading reports of visitors not getting sleep because of noise through the night, I am starting to wonder if I have made the wrong choice. I would appreciate it if any visitors could let me know what their stay at the Admiral was like.

the admiral apartments is a very good apartment, the staff are great and they were always there when i needed them, the apartments are very clean, they are basic but i never had any problems with them, comfy bed, clean shower and toilet and they were cleaned reguarly. great view of the pool from my balcony or if you are put at the back of the apartments, you get a great view of the sea.

Wow just got back from zante and must say was one of the best holidays i have been on.We stayed in room 305 of the admiral the staff were exellent the rooms were  lovelly and clean Dont go to peters it is crap basicly try the greek plate that was good was good of the staff to put  a free end of season party on the last night of the seaon all in all a great place

We stayed at the Admiral Apartments Oct 9th 2005 we was very disapointed with these apartments,not with the cleanliness or the location but with the noise that continued into the early hours of the next day.Indeed untill 4:30 am the next day when drunken girls screaming and running around the pool area kept us awake for most of the night.We only stayed for two nights at this hotel before asking to be moved as this was not the holiday that we wanted or indeed expected.

T H E  A D M I R A L  A P A R T M E N T S    ...W E  L U V E D  I T! ...Me my sister mam and dad went on the 18th Sept for 2 weeks, and we thought it was great! ....It was mad but fun! The only prob was the reps, claire and sam were S**T but they are not going to be there next year * Yaaaay *  We are going again in may so it should be fun, The apartments are next to all the bars and is a beautiful place to visit =D xxxx

Our party of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids) stayed at the Admiral Apts from 17-24 October 2005 in rooms 302 and 332.  We had a lovely time especially as it was our first time in Greece.  The staff were so friendly especially Nicki!  What a lovely girl!!    The entertainment team of Sam and Steph were also great - loved the stand up bingo!!!   The apts were small but basic and most importantly clean.  My husband, 2 kids and I had a pool view apt which was lovely as you could see over to Zante town. 

Loved the variety of restaurants and bars.  We went to 24/7 for pannini's and irn bru for brekki!! Tried a variety of restaurants but must say I loved the food at Carissimo's.  The Greek's are such friendly people.

The only problem we had was an earthquake (6.1) and the tremors lasted right through til Saturday night - quite scary!!!  This is apparently common at the beginning and end of each season!!! 

Overall, I hope that we will return to Admiral Apts. maybe some time in the future!!!  Was sad to go home

We stayed at the admiral apartments from19th sep to 3rd oct and we had a fantastic time.  A holiday is what you make it, and we made some excellent friends and had an amazing time. If you have children then its the best resort to go.The apartments are basic but clean, thats all you really need, after all you only want somewhere to shower,change and sleep. We didnt really participate in the activities held by the staff at the apartments we went other places in the evening. Factory is good but changes to nightclub after 12 so was no good for us with a teenage daughter. Beer academy, and Tropicana are excellent for Cocktails! Snack Academy staff are excellent they are great with the kids and the food is good too!  The best place to go in the evening is The Red Lion by far, we spent most of our evenings there, cocktails buy one get one free! Try a dirty vimto too! Bar staff a great laugh, atmosphere wicked, we had the time of our lives in there.Also go to legends i think thursday and sundays and watch the hypnotist, what a scream! Beach not great, very small but  freebus to St Nicholas beach by the Avalon Bar and its a beautiful beach! Went on boat trip round the island and that was disappointing because weather was bad so didnt make it see smugglers cove. Maybe next year, definitely will be going back for more!

Just got back from The Admiral Apartments, went for 2 weeks and found it very noisy, but what can you expect when everyone is enjoying themselves good on them.

The one problem we did have was the dogs barking through night, I eventually had enough after two nights of not sleeping due to this one dog a black and white one in the Commodore apartments opposite the pool (dog sat in the corridor leading into the building) so I went to complain and found to my surprise that the dog belonged to the night porter from the Commodore who worked 1am to 8am and just let this animal bark all night I was flabergasted that they let this happen but give the receptionist credit she got it sorted.

There was pleanty of entertainment in the complex but we didn't partake (due to having asthma I couldn't breath properly) as it was to smoky in the bar area which was dissapointing as it looked and sounded as if everyone was enjoying themselves.

The pool area was ok but got a bit rowdy and the kids found it a bit daunting with things getting thrown in while they were playing, so we ended up going to another pool where they were more happier.

ONCE AGAIN SIMPLY THE BEST! ok back at home now been back 2 weeks been to doctors missing the place too much can i come back? was great to see old friends Nikki, Sammy& Tina new friends Claire & Steph. just perfect. will be putting some new pics on soon sorry sam ha ha hope to see u there next year Claire you just didn't get in the pool enough. hope your leg is better sweet. the only bad part this year was the the falling outs that went on with odd couples on holiday and falling out  hope your all better now. will say we missed Paul this year missed the swimming pool games mate. Just back from spending 2 weeks at the Admiral apartments and looking forward to getting an undisturbed nights sleep without being woken at 4.30am in the morning by someone shouting, singing or screaming. Would rather spend 2 weeks in Skegness with my mother in law the return to this accomodation.

My husband and I were at the Admiral from 11th to 18th September. The rooms were great (we were lucky to have air con! Thanks to Nikki for swapping our room! Very clean and spacious.There are alot of families there so don't expect much peace and quiet - the hotel entertainment is quite loud and does go on very late at night. Our favourite restaurant was Castaway - very good food and reasonable prices. As for Peter's we didn't find it too bad!!!!  The Tropicana was good especially the night of Elvis!!! Plent of bars to watch sport - of course we saw the thrashing of the Aussies!!!!

the night we arrived the appartment was tiny for what we paid. the sink and toilet was craked.

I went to the Admiral for a week on the 25th August with my boyfriend. The apartment itself was okay but we felt that we had no privacy from our neighbours, we couldnt even eat our dinner on the balcony without the kids next door peering in and we could hear everything that was goin on upstairs.  The pool was average but i thought it was outrageous that people put their towels down so early in the morning and then went back to bed, we paid extra to stay in this hotel to get full use of all the facilities on offer, but never got to use the pool once because of our fellow guests being so ignorant.  One morning we got up at 8am to go on a boat trip and there was not one sun lounger free and yet there was not one person in sight!!!We went to DiMittri's pool instead, the people were friendlier, the food was nicer and cheaper and the sea breeze was lovely...this is were we spent most of our holiday and i would reccomend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet! I wouldnt stay at the Admiral again, although we did have a good time staying out of the complex and seeing the beautiful island!

Only back form the admiral , Sam ,Steph( Sam's cousin) and Clare are there now. The one bed Apts do have a seperate bedroom well kind of , the apts are basical 2 rooms the twin bedroom doubles as the kitchen with the bathroom off this and the double room goes out onto the balcony,basic but cleaned everyday and at the end of the day its only some where to rest your head . We found them fine and we also had kids with us aged 8 and 9.You'll love it.

We are going to stay in Argassi  at the Admiral apartments in 2 weeks time with m,y boyfriend and my daughter, have booked 1 bedroom apartment, am just checking to see if anyone knows if this means a separate bedroom to living area? We have upgraded to full board, which means eating at the Captains i think? anyone tell me what the food is like there?

Hya!!

Going back on the 15th September and can't wait! We were there last year and really enjoyed it. It was the first place that my 4 year old daughter wanted to return to, she was in tears when we were leaving.

Zorbas is an excellent restaurant and so is the one just down the hill from the Admiral. The Red Lion is not bad for some family fun. See you all soon!!!

Just came back from Argassi for the first time and unfortunately stayed atthe Admiral Apartments.

 Brilliant place ,although would reckonmend you try to get room with air conditioning ( which we didn't get) ,the entertainment was a bit hit and miss ,but the staff were lovely . Rooms were cleaned every day and the maid didn't come in too early ,can't really fault anything about this place would definately go back and highly reckonmend to any one ,especially families as the staff make a real fuss of the kids especailly Sam, Steff and Clare, who my kids would quite happily have hid in their suit cases to bring home!

First impressions was poor the rooms were very small, but on whole the hotel was very clean. the staff were very friendly. Be aware of the pool it can be dangerous step getting into the pool is very slippery . had great holiday in all weather fantastic.

Just back from 2 weeks in the admiral....weather and food lovely in argassi. Admiral full of families and kids so not the place to go if you are single or couple and want a bit of comfort!!!Greek Staff and Steff very nice and friednly though.Hi to Yanniii!

We had a good time when we visited in july 05 the bar was a bit noisy but it was just people enjoying there holiday so we didnt mind .We were in a room right above the tropicanna bar we went down there a few nights and watched some very good films  We met the dog Inka ! shes cute, we got dragged into peters resturant lol evry one hu has been will no him. Visit tropicanna.

great for kids they are well catered for prices not brilliant shop around local bars offer better deals especially for games of pool 1.50 & admirals only 1 euro at beer academy

Hi Barry, Yeah there are two bank machines in the town which is only about 5 minutes walk from the admirals. It is across the road from the magic mushroom bar.
