We had meals here most nights.The lamb in the oven is to die for and the roast potatoes are out of this world. John always made us welcome and 2 nights gave us free drinks.Thanks John :)

Good food, good service, friendly staff. We ate here on 3 occasions and each time tried something different. WE always had a friendly welcome and never had any complaints.

it wasnt the best restaurant in alkynas me and my sister had pizza and it was very basic. Also my dad had beef stifado and he couldnt eat it cos it was very chewy and to hot to eat. it wos very basic and the women on the door wos a pain.

Hi - it's Emma and Rebecca here from England, we came to la caretta twice to eat during our stay just last week, both times the food was great and the staff were friendly and very cute! This was our 6th time to Alykanas and have eating here too many times to remember,gerry the owner is one of the nicest people you could meet.Maybe comments of being a pevert was wishful thinking.We never had a bad meal yet one of the best in the village.

think they've had change of staff since comments below as found this was best restaurant in resort. kids loved margherita pizzas(quite large portions) & staff very concerned as i left portion of my meal so they only charged half price & gave me glass of red wine(very potent)!!! so no complaints here!

We visited this restaurant 3 nights out of 7 and rate this as the best restaurant in Alykanas. The staff are really friendly and rememeber you every time you go in. One of the waiters, John (really Yannis, but he tells you it is John) is extremely friendly. If you appear to have any problems with your meals (which is doubtful) they give you nescafe on the house. I can recommend the roast lamb, which I had twice and also the spagetti bolognese. The garlic mushrooms are also lovely. My husband had Garlic mussels, sea bass, schnitzel and swordfish and said they were all delicious. We cannot praise this restaurant enough. Just a pity we didn't go there sooner.

A very nice restaurant. Slightly slow service but nothing to worry about. Food was great. Well worth a visit.

we really liked this restaurant. staff were lovely. we were waited on efficently and not rushed. the swordfish was particulary nice.

I cannot commet about the food or the price because after ordering drinks, which were delivered with the usual bread, nobody supplied a menu. After ten minutes I asked for a menu and although we waited five more minutes the menu it did not arrive. WE then decided to go somewhere else. I can recommend the bread and wine as it is very cheap.

We eat here a couple of times and we were always treated very well by the staff especially Yanis. They adore the children and cope very well in an unexpected downpour of extreme proportions. They love the children and the food was good.

ate here twice. both times good. go in if they advertise fresh fish on board outside.

We had one very nice meal there, lamb stifano.
The second visit we felt very rushed with our main course beibg served before we had finished our starter, which is very off putting as you know that the main course is being kept warm and drying out!!!
Apart from that the service was very friendly especially the greeter at the door.

We watched this man (spinning his menu's) for 2 nights, lure his customers in. So we decided to visit. This was my second favourite restaurant, great service and lovely people. Reasonably cheap and great food.

We were lured in here by the man on the door who promised our son could have any item on the menu as a smaller portion for a lower price but when we got the bill they had charged full price and would not budge on the issue.

waited about 30mins for our started to arrive and then another 20mins for our main meal, not good if you have small children!!! man on the door a pain in the a**e!!!!!

Lamb Kleftico was wonderful, well presented with lots of extremely tender lamb. We ate at the restaurant three times during our holiday and were very satisfied on each occasion. I would agree with the comment about the man on the door he was very funny and spoke to us everytime we passed.

This one we went in twice first time better than second ,bit slow on the service,waiter at enterance very funny and friendly.I had steak not the best.

TRIED THIS TWICE. DISSAPOINTED BOTH TIMES, BOTH ON QUALITY AND ESPECIALLY SERVICE. THEY DID APOLOGISE HOWEVER. IT WAS MUCH TOO HOT IN HERE AS WELL.

Great place - the owner Jerry is very helpful and the staff are eager to please. Excellent value for money and we alaways enjoy a great night. This is a popular restaurant and gets very busy so it's a good idea to get there early. Try it - you won't be dissappointed.

Lovely restaurant, we were offered sea bass caught that day and it was so good! Good service and nice people. Highly recommended. Expect to pay around 1500 to 3000 drachmas for a main dish. Lovely.

Friendly place but tended to get very busy as the night went on-if you have children go early to avoid long wait. Food was of a good standard and pleasantly presented. Service was ok and price resonable

We stayed in Alykanas and we ate regularly at La Caretta. The food was great as were the staff. The prices were among the best we found in Alykanas.

Going to Alikanas for the last 4 years, I think this is one of the best restaurants.Very good food,good prices and excellent service.Hello Makis!!I'll be back in September...

Have visited Alykanas over the last four years and after trying most of the others we have found that the Caretta Restaurant is the best by far.
