Hera Restaurant

Ate here three times during a two week stay in Kalamaki - Very nice. Food was good and reasonably priced with a good choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just returned from 2 great weeks in zante and visited Hera twice. This is a lovely restaurant with great food. I would recommend to anyone!! I will be back next year

Lovely meal again at Hera, just a shame we didn't manage to get back another night, we will be back next June though, can't miss out on the best Lamb Kleftico in Kalamaki

Our first visit and one which will be on our list next year.  The food was great and my husband especially loved the kleftico.  Service was good but the staff didn't interact much, maybe because we were new customers.  I only have one criticism and thats the lighting, as it was a cold night we ate inside and the harsh lighting didn't give the place any ambience.  Dimmed lighting would make all the difference. 

We ate here one night the food in itself was really nice but just a bit too rich for us and the staff were not as friendly as other places

I Really Liked it here. The food is dead nice. The lamb kelftiko is Really Good. And the waiters are Nice :)

As usual the food was wonderful and the staff very friendly.  We has 3 meals here whilst on holiday in Kalamaki.  Back at home now   See you guys hopefully next year.

FAB, as usual, the Lamb Kleftico the best ever!!!! Having moved to the "old strip" the surroundings are better than previously, it's lovely to see the quality of the food, the fantastic service and the value for money have remained the same. Thank you all and see you all in September

i think me and my family, have been here so many times now that we have lost count! the food is amazing (especially the saganaki! ), and so are the waiters  !  only just arrived home from our week in kalamaki, and can't wait to come back,,, possibly august! went twice in the one week and were devestated when we thought you had shut down, but relieved to know you had only moved. the meals at hera were the best meals by far all week!

 Fantastic food, hard working, helpful attentive staff. We went almost every night of our holiday, couldn't fault it. Particularily nice was the meatballs starter and moussaka. you must not go to kalamaki and not visit Hera, best in resort.

Well this restaurant just gets better and better!

Ate here several times last week and as usual meals were lovely. Our favourite was the Lamb in the oven.

 

The staff are very friendly and  make everyone welcome. (Alex...we know where you're from now...and it certainly isn't Worcester ) Always a great atmosphere in here...

Thanks to all the staff, can't wait to see you all again next year! Hope you like the pics.

 Very very nice. One of the best meals we had. Try the sword fish - fab!! The service was very good too.

Every year I have to go to this restaurant as they do the best Lamb Kleftico on the island and once again was not disappointed. Friendly staff make you very welcome and the free melon and shots at the end of your meal is perfect. Well done to you all and see you next September.

Well, we were told that Hera did the best Lamb Kleftico in Kalamaki, was that true? Oh yes, absolutely gorgeous

 Loved this restaurant, fantastic lamb kleftiko served in foil flambe'd. Best I have tasted.  Also nice to stop in for lunch,  a favourite of mine was potato skins with cheese.  Very reasonably priced.

Excellant restuarant, ate here quite a few times in our 2 week stay. food excellant, staff so friendly, lovely clean restuarant. would recommend every time.

Wonderful taverna with excellent staff, and equally excellent food.

 we ate here a couple of times during our two week holiday - it was lovely.  Both times my husband had lamb stefado, which arrived still sizziling in the pot.  I had mousakka, and lemon chicken, which was on the bone and in a gravy, arrived piping hot.  The staff here are very friendly.  A nice touch is the shots of ouzo and metaxa the adults get at the end of the meal, as well as a plate of fresh melon to end your meal - free!  If you stay at the Roseland, Bizarro, Amaryllis, metaxa etc it is down your end of the strip.

We ate at the Hera resteraunt on twelve of our fourteen nights stay. Nick and the other members of staff were excellent, they made our visit all the more enjoyable. The food was just fantastic. We will be back to your lovely island and the wonderfull people.Thanks for a wonderfull holiday.

have to agree, weve eaten here for some 4 or 5 years now ad the meals are top class every time, with a relaxing friendly atmosphere you are left to chillout and eat at your own pace for as long as you like. the staff are always smartly dressed and friendly . my favourite is the beef stammas but they do a fab mousakka as well.

Ate here 5 nights out of the 7 we were in Kalamaki. Food was excellent particularly the lamb kleftico which my hubby had on 3 nights!! Service was excellent with the waiters being neither obtrusive or non-existent, just right. We also ate breakfast here every day which was excellent as well. Anyone visiting Kalamaki MUST eat here. Be back soon xxx

The best restaurant.I liked it. 

I've just got back from a week in Kalamaki and I must agree that this is the best restaurant there  After discovering Hera, we ate here every night.  The food is excellent and the service is fab.  The waiters are really sexy so I would highly recommend it!!!!  We had only landed for an hour and have booked to go back in June.  We will definitately be returning to Hera (atleast that gives the staff 8 months to recover from us!!!)

This restaurant still serves the best Lamb Kleftico on the island. Excellent service. We will be returning again next year.

We ate twice at this restaurant and both meals were excellent. 

Loved this place food, price and service are excellent. The fruit at the end is a nice touch. 

What ever you do, eat at the Hera, even if it is to see the really sexy waiters. The food is fantastic and the service wonderful. The melon and shot are a lovely end to the meal.

The three of us ate at this Restaurant on the last two nights of our holliday.The food and service was excellent. I can personally recomend the gammon steak, it was yummy.Will definately return here next year.

Ate here 3 times during our fortnights stay, food and service both excellent, beef stifado so good i had it twice, my friend had lamb kleftiko here served in foil over a plate of fire! tasted great too. It was the service that made us return though, the waiters were such good fun and soooooo handsome (got the piccies to prove it) complimentary wine, melon and shots added to the experience, even when we were walking past the guys popped out to say hello and wish us a pleasant evening, the young man featured in a few of the pics dropped a full tray of food one night, plates bounced in all directions to cheers all round but he looked mortified, no harm done, we thought hera was great and would definantly recommemd it.

welldone everyone you are still up there with the best restraunts in kalamaki.  my favourite was the beef stammnas and lamb kleftico but gav says mussaka is a must at hera. after all when in greece eat greek thats what you go for local food at a reasonable price. see you all again next time, [for those asking simon has gone but freddie and alex are still there and the attitude of all the staff is as good as ever].

Hera is definately a great place to eat in kalamaki with gorgeous food, the pizza's here are by far the best and the mushrooms very nice if you like garlic sauce!!!The cheese pies for starters are a must!!!!!!!!!!! I must say the staff here were so friendly and the service was great, I know my mate faye is goin 2 miss simon ( we called him hotty totty)!!! Great place, will definately be going back there next yr x

hey all i loved it in hera the food was lovely nd the service was great to def goin bak weni go bak 2 zante nxt year.

Sue its one of the first restraunts on the right hand side when you come into kalamaki from laganas try it you wont be disapointed. 

This place is one of the best in kalamaki the service is excellent the food outstanding and the ambience fantastic with beautiful sunsets from the tables outside. we ate here anumber of times and it was always the best.

We ate here once on our weeks holiday and the food was great especially the Beef Stifado and the Lamb Chops that my husband ordered, he could not believe his eyes when the plate arrived with eight large chops plus jacket potato, rice & vegetables, we never can clear our plates, no matter how tasty the food is in restaurants in Zante as the portions are enormous. We really liked the complimentary shot & plate of mixed melon at the end of the meal, anyone going should try this restaurant and a good tip is if restaurants are very busy you should have a lovely meal reasonably priced.

P.S. The greek meze starter was also very good but too much for one person.

we have just come back from kalamaki loved every minute of it. we stayd there for 2 weeks and think we ate in hera nearly every night. the food was lovely and the service was fab. going back in october cant wait, im counting the days.  enjoyd every minute of it especially my last night!! see you guys soon, laura x

hera gives a chilled out relaxing evening with superb food and staff, no panic in here just enjoy your meal at your pace there is no rush. thats what greek holidays are about . see you all for a 5th time in july 2006. yamas.to all the staff.
