  Hi everyone at Plus Soda and Mermaids....Con, Adele, Yiannis, Stacey, Dee etc...

Once again we spent every night in Plus Soda after eating next door in Mermaids. This is the third time we have been to Kalamaki and have spent each night here.

Got to be the best bar in the resort. There's an outdoor terrace where they do any entertainment they've got on...a lot of people get involved with the quizzes and I finally got a spot question right too lol! The hypnotist is fantastic and well worth going to see. Cocktails are fantastic and good prices. If you stay out late the inside is like a club and is open into the early hours.

Hopefully be back again in September for another week :)

Best bar in Kalmaki.  Very good cocktails and staff are very friendly.  Would recommend.

Called in for a drink or two each night over the last week, very quiet but so was the rest of the strip but at the same time their were enough people to create a good atmosphere. The hypnotist never perfomed his show on the two nights he should have as he never got enough people and got quite shirty about it but if you don't wanna do it you just don't wanna.

Hello everyone im sorry i dont get on as much as i have beeen busy running around sorting some stuff out for mermaids and plus.Hello jean yes big ears yiannis is here and stacey from last year we have some great new staff and a our weird spiderman dj but he is great nice and friendly and a good dj.kalamaki has been quiet so far and alot of people are struggling hopefully it will pick up.chris i have gone into my space its fantastic i havent got my laptop its in for a upgrade for karaoke.i will keep in touch with the work computer.Jean hope too see you soon for some great nights in plus and memaids.

I`m still waiting for Con to get in touch about the myspace site we`ve set up for Plus, so don`t worry, you`re not being ignored!!! he`s just been very busy! Yiannis is there still, Nick is sadly in Oz, and it isn`t Rich this year..hope you have a great time!

Only went in here once this time to see the Hypnotist, absolutely fantastic, it was so funny, well worth a watch...i was too chicken to join in.  Will be back on 5th July

Had some fantastic nights at Plus Soda, great cocktails and regular entertainment.  The staff are very freindly and funny and Yannis the barman's flairing (throwing cocktail bottles, juggling etc) is very impressive.  The comedy hypnotist is a night not to be missed, absolutely hilarious although I was not brave enough to volunteer myself.  The club area inside is great and meant we could continue to enjoy our evening into the early hours of the morning, dancing the night away on the podiums and having loads of fun with the foam parties.  Thanks to all at Plus Soda for a great holiday

We visited plus soda 2004 when it first opened, and we spent many nights here. however, when we went this year we were slightly disappointed. The quiz nite was always popular (we won three breakfasts and free cocktails), but the cocktails were not quite as they seemed, and the time between each question was on occassions far too long, prompting us to leave.  Lots of people were commenting on this. The bar did undergo a transformation just before we left to come home, new seating was put in which gave it a slightly more "up-market" feel. its worth a visit, but will the ambiguous "snowball" question ever be answered?

this place is amazing the people that work there are so fun if anyone who is working there can u remember me i was with my family (me,mum,dad,mate) we wer the only ones in the club one night and the dj played anything we wanted we got so drunk that me and my mate kept complimenting him after every song and at the end of the night we couldnt walk out of the bar and the barmaid person (forgot the word!!) kept giving us free shots woo!!!

Well, what can we say about Plus Soda (and Mermaids) apart from that it was our second home once again. It is one of the livelier bars in the resort and by far the most friendliest. Everyone in there seems to go back every night.

Thanks to Con, Stacey, Gemma and Yiannis for another great holiday. Plus Soda has some great entertainment including karoke, quizzes, Kylie act etc...and everyone gets involved which is excellent.

The bar has a lively outside terrace and the inside is like a club with a pool table, dance floor and DJ booth. The bar staff are the best we have found on all our holidays giving out free shots to everyone.

We would like to make a particular mention to Yiannis - the cocktail/bar man - who once again made us feel very welcome and made us enjoy our nights with free shots, drinks and pool games. It's a shame that he won't be there next year as he really entertained all the people there. His cocktail tricks are excellent but do watch out for him throwing ice at you haha!

Also, thanks to the owner Con who runs an excellent bar and restaurant next door. We were made to feel so welcome and this place was our second home. We went to another bar to watch football once but ended up leaving at half time as it was rubbish compared to here.

If you ask, they will also put stuff on the TV if it's possible. We were always asking for the football to be and they are more than happy to put whatever you want on.

Again, thank you to all the staff who work here. I would tell everyone going to Kalamaki to go to Plus Soda and I am sure you will go back night after night.

. Hope you are well in Plus Soda

• 5 or 6 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  

• 12 ounce can of corned beef
  
• 1 onion, chopped
  
• Salt and Pepper to taste
  
• 1/2 cup milk, optional

First prepare your potatoes by peeling them and cutting them into small chunks.  You will want about 4 cups of chopped potatoes, total.  Next open up your can of corned beef.  Scoop the meat into a large skillet and get it cooking over medium heat.  Mash it up into small pieces as you cook it.  Plenty of fat should melt out of it, but if it doesn't you can add a little oil or bacon grease.  Add the potatoes and onion.  Stir it all up so the bits of corned beef mingle intimately with the potatoes and onions.  Cook it for a good while, probably half an hour.  Add salt and pepper as you cook it, so it tastes right to you.  I keep a lid on it the first 20 minutes or so, but that isn't completely necessary.  If you like you can add the milk and simmer the hash in the milk until it absorbs it all.  This cooks the potatoes a little faster and is traditional for good southern hash.  You will need to stir this dish every now and then, as the bottom browns.  Don't stir much the last 10 minutes of cooking though, so you can get a nice golden crust on the bottom of the hash.  Cut it into wedges, or scoop it up with a spatula and serve with ketchup if you like.  Good with coleslaw, or pumpkin pie and cabbage.  This serves about 5 people. You can substitute cooked potatoes if you like, the cooking time will reduce some then.  This is one of Richies favorite dishes.

hey just returned from hols in kalamaki and think i have found the best bar ever!! Plus soda is mad it has best bar staff ever stacey and gemma mad craic free shots all the way they made everyone feel welcome and rich was brill the quizzes and jokes hilarious!!! then there was the gorge yannis (even if he could be grumpy sometimes) also the pr girl tracey who i cudnt believe hadbeen only workin there a week she was lovely made everyone want to come into the bar she was so friendly and loved joining in and having a laugh with us!! (Even if i did catch my b'friend lookin at her a couple of times!!) Hope you stayed on tracey  wna see you there wen we come back!! And by the way i no u said there was nothin between you and yannis but i think everyone could see the looks and the smiles ha ha nice try though at  hidin it

Well I'm back home and missin it like f**k!!!! Plus Soda is legendary and full of amazing people!!! Yannis your a top bloke, gem gem and stacey were there the whole time and i'll miss em loads!!!
