well we've booked again for 2011 this will be our fourth time at dennys but it will be just the two of us,because our girls want to do their own thing next year.we will be there on july 17th for two wks we cant wait to get some of that zante sun again, and meet the friendly staff.
We came back on the 3rd sept and are missing it already had a great time and made some good friends ,our fav restuarants are Zepo's ,Mermaid's and The Mahraja but never had a bad meal anywhere,
Booked for June 2 -9 next year, seems far to far away now but know it will be a great week.
yet again a lovely third stay at dennys inn,as per usual we had no regrets going there,
the staff were very helpful and freindly the weather perfect and the rooms just great. and a special thanx to melonas for secretly reserving our sunbeds in the morning. hopfuly we will be visiting again in the near future.Going to Denny's in October, can not wait!! Who else is going then?
Ooh I've been a tad tardy about putting this year's comments on!
Yes that would be great thanks. My address is helengracescott@yahoo.co.uk.
Look forward to hearing from you.helen ,
the jeep safari is a good trip , you get to see some lovely views above the shipwreck , they take u offroad , they call at a beach to help wash the dust off and have a swim . my advice is to book via teh tour operators on the main kalamaki strip and not with thomas cook, also wear sensible shoes not flipflops . the water park again is a good one , dennys inn will happilly get a taxi for u and when you come out there are taxis waiting , my daughter ( age 13next yr ) loves the water and it makes a change from the pool or the sea .Thanks Sue , i'm even more excited now about going. I fly on the 21st (my daughters 6th birthday it will be) for 2 weeks so u will probably be there when I am. The Hotel sounds amazing and must have an outstanding reputation, as have seen on here people saying how they've returned year after year. As a single mum going wth my friend and daughter i'm hopeing to make some new friends for both me , my friend Emily and my daughter. Looking forward to doing the boat trips, i have been on the shipwreck smugglers cove trip and turtle island when I visited Zante many years ago. Have you any more tips on excursions that are a must do while i'm here ? I want to make it a holiday to remember for my little girl.
helen , we are also going to the dennys inn on the 14th august 2011 it will be our 5th visit ,and will be a reunion with some very good friends who have also booked up . last time we went our room was a double bed and a single bed for our daughter .
Have booked here for August 2011 and cannot wait. Been reading lots of good reviews and the pics from the official Hotel Dennys inn website look lovely. Just wondering if you have booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child what is the sleep set up is it a double bed and a sofa bed ? or a double bed and single? Also where are the best places to eat and bars for a relaxing drink with a child with you?
Alison

Anyone heading to Dennys Inn Hotel in August 2010? I'm very excited about my first trip there. For all you regular Kalamaki visitors, any top tips - places to go, things to see etc? We are trying to decide whether to hire a car or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Jayne the breakfast 's very much the same as most places - cereal, ham, eggs sometimes, yoghurt, toast ,cake etc.
hi all cant wait to try dennys inn we travel on 15 th july 2010 just was woundering what the breakfast was like as this is our first time at dennys inn
Only 11 sleeps till we leave for our next holiday at the wonderful Denny's Inn. We can't wait to get back there, it really is a home from home. Looking forward to seeing Spiros and Stewart and their families and Bev, Mary , Maria and all the other lovely staff. We are also looking forward to meeting old friends - The Mayor and Vicar and their family, Karen, Paul and Cara, Sarah, Simon and Charlotte, Karen, Jade and Chanice and Richard, Jill and new addition William (although they do only live 2 minutes away!) and Annette, Billy (don't be a hero),Nia and Toni. Hopefully we will also make some new friends- it is so easy to do at Denny's.
yep we have booked for a holiday at the denny's today for august 2011 , it will be our 5th visit over 10 yrs , hopefully meetin up with some very good friends we made at the dennys in 2001
Amyone booked for 2011 yet?
We stayed at dennys in 2008 and last year.
We have stayed at Dennys on many occasions over a 21 year period and have enjoyed our selves. The location is ideal and breakfast is very good. The staff respond to politeness and friendliness and are faultless. Unfortunately they can not control the few guests who are ill mannered and inconsiderate - they put up cautionary signs which they expect responsible parents to observe for the safety of their children.I can't wait for my next visit. Arthur & Dorothy Jones - Egham, Surrey
Rosie and I are already booked for next year!
Hi Phil and Sue,
we have stayed at dennys inn for two years on the trot and have never had any probs gettting sunbeds in fact this year we had a party of five and not one day did we have probs getting sunbeds together.we have also booked for august next year and cannot wait.
We are looking to book in Dennys Inn for August 2010. After reading all the reviews it seems the only real groan is the fact that some selfish people like to save sunbeds then not use them till hours after. The solution is simple. I for one would not stand for behaviour like that and would remove their towels if I wanted the bed and it had not been used for one hour while I was there. No way would I wait around while there is a perfectly good sunbed going to waste. What could the people say who had saved it when they found out they no longer had their bed? NOTHING!!! Sunbeds are for everyones use and not just to take up space. They are there to be used and not wasted. It seems to me that if more people did this then less people would save a bed and walk off for a couple of hours. Come on stop the groans and stop these selfish people taking over the sunbeds that are your RIGHT to use.
Have booked Hotel Denny's Inn for next aug 19-3 sept read all the reviews and it sound fab soo excited will have to boys 16 and 12
Me and My hubby are looking to book Denny's for Aug 2010 with 15yr old and 11 yr old. IS there enough to do to keep us happy? Ps all sporty types (except me who likes nothing better than lying on sun bed and/or drinking vino at the bar!)
We totally agree with Jeannie.
Just to reassure anyone going to Denny's Inn having read the comments of Lotte. Glad she bigged up Bev, but have to disagree with her comments about other staff, always found everyone helpful in the 8 years we have been going to Denny's Inn. There are do and don't notices, that is because people are selfish around the use of sunbeds and dripping water all over the enclosed part of the hotel . All hotels charge for fridges, safes and aircon, same price almost everywhere.
just go to iggys andy for all your sport on the telly they have about five screens all showing different things.
We are a Swedish couple who stayed at Dennys Inn Hotel between july 7 & 21.We booked our trip early october 2008 and asked for a room with poolwiew and on the top floor.
On arrival we met an unpleasent person (Maria - greek) at the receptiondesk, who - when we asked for the possibility of hiring a depositbox - told us in a very condecending way to wait while "she had to check in the other guests that had arrived" (it was only one other couple(!). In all it felt like service to us was an ordeal and she had to demonstrate who was in charge. We then politely asked if it was possible to change room - we were told she had to ask her co-worker later (she never bothered). We had to ask her again a few days later (she never got in touch with us) - then she sighed and acted like she no idea what it was all about!
All the best to the others in the reception, especially Bev.
The room was clean and fresh - we especially appreciated the shower curtain in the bathroom! We also appreciated the safety deposit box which was locked with a code and not a key to keep track on. The balcony felt rather small, but that is all depending on the room that you are given. The fee of the frige is really over the top ( I'm no't going to buy the damn thing) 26 euros for 1 week! Do not believe the bill is really that high for electricity.. I don't even dare to think what they charged for the air con. Speaking to other guests that's what they also felt was very negative with the hotel - all the extras that minimized your economy.
We found the pool area clean but clustered with 'do and don't' signs - which didn't feel very welcoming and was useless though nobody followed them and no staff really cared. It was absolutely forbidden to enter the pool bar with wet feet?! When my spouse asked the staff in the bar about happy hour prices, he was met with a staring glance and she snapped "3 o'clock!" pointing lecturing at the sign...
We met other staff that vere really helpful and service minded but some of the hotelstaff could use a charm class.
8 Days and counting cant wait, hopefully we will be able to find somewhere to watch the Carnegie Cup Final
we paid 10 euros a week for a fridge and air con is 28 euros per wk.
yes it is. However I can not remember how much it is, as we pay for air con and safe at same time.

hi folks been back three days now and really missing denys inn already
Hi everyone!
7 weeks and counting now.....it cannot come soon enough!!! the prices depends on where you choose to eat out last year we went to an indian and a meal cost double than we got at stanis restaurant(which in my opinion is the best restaurant there)and did not get as much food. per say we got a curry and a starter each (for 2 people) and 2 bottles of mythos and it came to nearly 60 euros where as stanis we got a starter, main and a 1ltr caraffe of wine and a mythos or 2 for 29 euros...mythos costs around 2 euro 50 to 3 euro again depending on where you go...anyway counting down the days now sooooo cant wait this year as been a bad year so to phase it out nothing better than chilling out on our favourite island!!!
Roll on thursday!!!
looking forward to going to Denny`s Inn, Can anyone tell me what the prices are like in the hotel, and bars and restaurnts, i.e.price of a meal or more importantly a beer (large Mythos)
