Dennys Inn Hotel

We are also looking forward to coming out to Denny's Inn on the 20th July to join the gang. Don't believe there are any QUIET sisters going to be there but two very nice ones . Please do come and talk to us all. You will know us by the noise we make and by how we keep the trees growing with a special fertiliser. (Will tell you the joke if you ask!!) Can't wait for the next few weeks to pass so we can meet again for another good holiday at the best hotel in Kalamaki.

Rosie is right you will have a brilliant time, the big question is which one is the quiet sister?  Of course there is another question -which one is the sick sister?  Hmmmmm!!!!

We are also going out on 16th July (arrive early 17th) just in time for breakfast, so Jeannie and I will see you and your family there George.  (every one knows us there..just ask for the 2 quiet Sisters) and come introduce yourselves.

my mum and dad went to zante cam back on fri, they were staying in alakanas( or however u spell it )but came down to kalamaki to see what it was like. they called into the hotel denny's inn and had a look around they sed it is absolutely stunning and gorgeous... really nice... so now i cant wait to go even more.. roll on sep

me and my bf are going on thr 6th of september. we have never stayed here b4 but it is in a great location. we stayed at the exotica last yr and it was just down the rd liked the look of it.. about 5 mins to the beach not even that.. really cant wait to go back in septemeber and see our friends. If you go onto the Kalamaki messages and you can look under the bit Maps you will see where you are.Great location to Beach pubs etc.Im going in 2 weeks and its supposed to be great.

a good Greek night to go to is on a sunday night at Stani's Taverna it was an absolutely brilliant night me and my bf went the 1st sunday we were there fantastic. and then the last night b4 going home ended up with i think 10 of us going. absoultely fantastic night. the staff are friendly and make it a truly brilliant expereience. hope that helps any1 looking for a different night.

June 4th is coming round really fast, thank God.

Coming back too Dennys Inn again on 12th July for 3 time cant wait to get away from all this cold weather.  Looking forward to see everyone again.

am flying out on 7th October but only for 1 week. had to work around the football fixtures...probably just like you did... Thank you for my birthday card. Shame we are gonna miss you, I am sure Trace and John would of had plenty of football to talk about!!

   We have spent a week at this lovely hotel.Temp. was 100 degrees every day.The staff are very nice.Greek people are very laid back,they give you no hastle.We highly recommend the Dennny Hotel .

Coming back for another week in October with boyfriend Can't wait.

Sad to say back at work after a fabulous two weeks at Denny's Inn.  As usual staff were brilliant, pool clean as ever.  Management assisting over and above the call of duty.

  Met up with old friends and enjoyed the company of lots of others.  See you all next year!!  (Except those who are coming down to see me in December for my coming of age) 

It has come to the attention of the management of Hotel Dennys Inn that since the merger with Thomas Cook and My Travel there has been some confusion between our hotel and Dennys Apartments.   PLEASE NOTE that Dennys Apartments has no relationship with our hotel.   Please ensure when booking for our hotel that it is in fact Dennys Inn which is bed and breakfast (which is in the Thomas Cook website as a Thomas Cook Hotel) and not self catering which would be Dennys Apartments (which is on the website as a Direct Holidays property).   

Just booked to go back to Denny's Inn next year, July 2009. Had a fab time this year, best two week holiday we have had for a long time. Thanks to Karen, Paul and Cara for  their super company to make the holiday just braw! Was brill to meet so many great folk, maybe catch up with Mark and Lucie too? Thanx to everyone at Denny's see you all next year, Mary - remember our greek message on our Christmas card!!!!

So say about 30 euros a week for the fridge?  Sorry to be a pain but I just want to know how much to set aside before we start frittering it away on food and booze!!!  

Hi , we have all just arrived home from our 3rd visit to the dennys inn , we all enjoyed being back there hopefully will return again another year , to the question below , we hired air con for 2 rooms plus a fridge and it cost us 196 euros for 2 weeks , breakfast is self service continental style

Only 6 sleeps and then a half a sleep on the plane before we get to Dennys......can't wait.  Proabably will get to the airport about 5.30a.m.

Mike you really are a master of  the understatement.  It's actually very grey and persistently raining (or whatever the phrase is)  Lucky you.  We have to wait until next Thursday to get to Denny's Inn where we know a warm welcome will await us - alongside some Cocktails, Karaoke, Swimming, Sunshine........you know how it goes!!

This was our third visit to Denny Inn and as usual a warm welcome.  The hotel has been refurbished, and very nice it is too.  The rooms now have hair dryers in, which was a pleasant surprise.  I emailed some requestes before we went on holiday and they were dealt with for us.  Bev, Mary very friendly as usual.  Hopefully see you all again in the near future.  Now back at home.

we are going to the dennys inn for our 3rd visit on the 13th july , any familys going at the same time ?we have a 10 yo daughter and there will be 2 teens as well .

stayed at denny's inn for the first time from the 29th may to the 13th june 2008 had a great time there,the hotel is really well presented and decorated to a high standard the pool is to die for, the water is blue'est you've ever seen.Mary, Bev and Marie the receptionists are so friendly and will do what ever they can for you nothing is too much trouble.the only down side is the breakfast it is poor as it wasn't what we had expected.

Mike, We can definately recommend the cocktails in Zante...Usually when drunk they lead to jet lag the next day!!!!
However we do have a silly o'clock flight as well.

Mike I'm sure you and your girlfriend will have a great time.  There are lots of places to see and I am sure your rep will give you the info   Alternatively you can book direct with some of the sights e.g. trips round the island etc.  A car is great if you are confident driving on the other side of the road and means you can suit yourself what when and where you visit.

The main bars are a short walk away and the 18-30's in big groups are not normally a feature of Denny's Inn although there are some of the 40-60's that come home very late........but we do keep quiet.

Reading through the below it looks like a really nice place to stay and wondered if anyone had any suggestions on places to visit? Also is it worth hiring a car or are cabs and boats enough for transport?

Also, I know the “lively” part of the island is a short walk away but does much noise / 18 – 30’s come back to this place?

We will be coming out to Denny's on the 29th June for two weeks. This will be our 5th holiday here, and have had a great time every year.  To the young lady who would like to know if the hotel is suitable for a young couple, let me assure you that you will not be disappointed. The staff are all very friendly. The hotel is in a great position, only a five minute walk to the beach, and just a short stroll to all the bars and restaurants in Kalamaki. We are coming home on the 13th July, but not until the evening, so hopefully we might get a chance to meet up with Pete and Ellie before we leave. Looking forward to seeing everyone

Hi, Just over 10 weeks to go before we arrive. We are really looking forward to going to Denny's Inn, the last time we were there was 1997 when Diana died we remember watching the funeral in the bar area, it was very sad.  The hotel looks very different now, it seems to have changed alot, so have we as my children are now 15 and 17 they were 4 and 6 the last time we were there. Hi, I am planning on booking a holiday in Zante for me and my boyfriend in July. I have had a look at a few hotels and Dennys Inn seemed to catch my eye. However, the only thing which concerns me is would the hotel suit a young couple like ourselves or would you reccomend elsewhere? Any comments would be much appreciated.

Pleased to see that you have booked for this year. Stifado and I will not be able to make it this year , so hopefully you will raise a glass or two in our absence. We became Grandparents in December and little Baby Jack is doing well, even though he was born 6 weeks prematurely and only weighed 3lb 15oz. We must meet up sometime, so that we can bore you with the pictures.

Have now booked our holiday to Dennys Inn. However could not get out usual Sunday flights..so are not coming out till early hours of 18th July for our usual 2 weeks of Karaoke and cocktails. We hope we see all our friends there at some time during our stay. Cannot wait...only 27 weeks to go. 

We all had a brilliant holiday in may for all the family&friends we stayed for 2 weeks&everybody enjoyed it.the staff were brilliant as usual ,almost home from home.no doubt we will be back again to see everyone in the near future.

Looking forward to returning to Denny's Inn at the beginning of Aug 2008. We have stayed there in summer 1997 and again in 1998 and loved it then but by reading the comments it sounds like there  have been  improvments and we are looking forward to seeing them. Pete is looking forward to going back in just over two weeks time.  It's not quite the same as none of 'The Gang' will be there  but he is looking forward to seeing all the staff at the hotel and enjoying the football.  We have been trying to book for three weeks again next year but can't get to Denny's Inn unless we book a two week and then a one week full holiday this is with First Choice.   Anyone any ideas how we can get to Denny's for 3 weeks without paying so much money as we can't now book direct with the hotel?

You're right, Wendy, the hotel looks absolutely lovely all the refurbishments are excellens and tasteful!   Glad to see you are talking about going back next year - that's what makes Denny's Inn so great, people love it and go back year after year and make friends along the way.  Glad you got back ok - I understand that there was one night when you also put away a fair bit of Metaxa!

Well I can't believe that our two week holiday is over, and I'm back at work already. . Once again, a wonderful time was had by all. The Hotel looks stunning, and as ever the staff were brilliant. Stifado had a really bad hangover on the day we travelled home (not surprising after drinking a whole bottle of Metaxa).

Just look at the comments below, you will not be disapointed with your stay here!

 

After 3 glorious weeks we are back home again leaving only Steve and Wendy behind.   Another fabulous holiday.  The hotel look fabulous with all the new furniture and because the new sunbeds are so comfortable we slept really well this holiday.   Thanks to all at the hotel for your care and friendship.   Pete says he can't wait to return again in October.  Miss all the gang already and can't wait until next year.

Well what can i say? Depressed To be back at home! Another excellent stay here at Dennys Inn. Our 11th Year here, i guess that rounds it all up! Staff excellent as allways and great to meet up with friends old and new. You are bound to have a great stay here as everything is excellent. The food at the snack bar is delicious and reasonable and the pool area is spotless as well as the rest of the hotel. All the staff work hard to ensure that you have a pleasent stay here. Well Done for the new refurbishment, it looks wonderful.  Bev on reception is ace! She helped us so much as allways, especially when our Air Con kept breaking. Hope that you all have a good end to the season....See you all next year...Kirsty

Well since my last comment I have spent two great weeks at Denny's Inn and am now unhappily back at work.  Rosie and I had a great time.  We met lots of old friends and had a good time with some new ones.  The Hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard and now looks absolutely stunning.  The pool area has also had a face lift.  There have been several visitors both to us and other residents at the hotel who have commented on the high standards of cleanliness and the friendliness of staff.  They also comment that the pool is the cleanest and freshest they have seen with no overbearing smell and taste of chlorine.

The rooms are very clean and nice. They are cleaned everyday by the friendly maids. There will be pictures on the dennys website. Your children will love Dennys though! The hotel is a family run buisness and they will ensure that you have a pleasent stay! There are lots of clubs and entertainment on for you and you children to do, and the pool they will fall in love with!!   There is also a childrens playground too, and they are near some of the rooms, so you can let them play, while you are getting ready to go out at night!   If anything goes wrong, the staff will help you out.

To all at dennys, 3 weeks now!!!   Hope that Mini-bar is sorted out for Yiannis.

To people who have never been to Dennys, you dont know what you are missing, its a great hotel which is in the nice surroundings of Kalamaki. The hotel is family run and is very clean and tidy!! You will have a great stay,  which is very peacefull (Thats when our lot is not there!!)

If you have a family, or are a couple then Dennys is the place for you!  you will not be disapointed with your stay here!!  This year will be our 11th year!!  Enough said i think!

Thanks for replying Rosie & Jeannie. Two days eh, thats a downer. We will have to really go for it in those two days. I've been thinking about the plant story, that's definitely one for the poolside bar in our first lunctime there. I am picturing the scene now, Alison telling off John & Kirsty (John for misbehaving & Kirsty for mithering Wendy), Wendy telling me off for a number of one liners & Pete & Ellie chuckling away! Christine, my son has just rang me from Kalamaki and they had a tremor last night and today a small tornedo.  On my goodness.  We are going out there this Friday(22nd).  We have been out there in September just the odd shower now and then but still nice and warm.  Denny's is excellent we have stayed before.

we fly to dennys 25th september for two weeks,can anyone give me info about what its like anything we  need.does anyone know what the weather is like this time of year too,all comments will come in handy thanx

My partner, Richard and I returned from Denny's with his daughter Ellen on the 10th August 2007, We had a great time and was made to feel very welcome by everyone at the hotel including the cleaners who kept our room very clean.

The food at the snack bar was very well priced, with a very extensive menu and quick friendly service  The receptionist Bev was great and went out of her way to get Richard a new Chelsea shirt bought over for the holiday. The bar was a friendly place to spend the evening and I am sure no one will forget Richards singing in a hurry.

The only downside of the holiday was Ellen's bag was lost by the airline whilst travelling home, we still hope to get it back!!!!!!!!

Dennys Inn Hotel is value for money, the people are lovely and very caring.

omg me and dan wna come bk  we r missin every1 soo much and we aint even bin home 24 hours yet! we r defo comein bk next year!! thanks to every1 you are all gr8 n a big shout out to all of our m8z who are still there lucky ppl! its cold in england  lol! dan well happy he won killer pool lol his put his medal up in his bedroom hehe! it woz a gr8 holiday shame about the curly haired con man tho! wers our quad??? lol t**t! do not go to iguana bar, the quad bike place next to it and the supermarket next to that coz they are just con ppl! lol! n wen u walk past give him a dirty look he is hairy and has blonde curly hair lol! he is normally sitin in the quad bike place (( i cnt memba the name of it )) lol! im rly missin cara she woz my lil friend!! ello to alison jim dean cara adam and there grandad ((didnt no your name)) hope you all got home safely and hope to keep in contact you were a great laugh as soon as i print the pictures of the boys jumping off the boat i will send them to you! thanks to all the staff i cnt memba all ur names but ur wicked!! :d me and dan we will bk next year without any parents soo beaware hehe! love you all miss you sooo muchhhh thanks! best holiday ever!! u made it soo gd! lovee youu cya in august love staci-lou && dan!! x

After six years of going to Dennys Inn the place just gets better and better. Thanks to everybody who made our holiday great, the staff can't do enough to help. Another great stay here, loved everything about it. The staff make you have an excellent stay and i would like to say a big thanks to our mates who we meet up with every year, Tolis, Karen, Liam, Rosie, Jeanie, Pete, Ellie, Richard, Gill and all the new friends we have made this year. Hi everyone, just back in Carnoustie today, had a great time at the Denny's Inn, Stuart and his brother were fantastic hosts, as was Andreas for the late drinks! Mary on reception was very helpful with hints and tips. Rooms and pool area were really clean and the maids did a great job.

Just got back on friday there and had a really gr8 time!! Everything was better than wot we could of hoped 4 and 2 top that we met sum really lovely people!  Thanx 2 all of the hotels workers they do a fantastic job! Will certainly b back 4 a holiday in the future!!

Once again  another great holiday. Fith year running, and am sure will be back next year as well. Was so sorry when we had to leave last Sunday as we were leaving all our friends we have made over the last 5 years behind. Met some new friends this year who only live 2 minutes away!!! (what a small world). LOts of love to Pete and Ellie, Alison, Kirsty and Yiannis Mcfadden ( I have started my greek lessons now young Man!!), and to Richard and Jill (see you in your local). are there any gymnasiums in kalamaki?

 Denny's Inn was great I had a wicked time and the people there were lovely natasha you are so amazing. It was my third time going there and the beach and the village was as good as ever. To anybody going there it is so clean and the location is spot on if you want a beach and shops close to you. Great for plane spotting aswell. The fridge and the air conditioning is 4 euros each per day. The reason I known this Bev (one of the hotel receptionist confirmed this via e-mail to me).  We are going in September and we are counting the days as we have been before and know how good it is.

Hello to everybody going back to Dennys Inn this July/August. This will be our 6th holiday at Dennys, and we can't wait. We got engaged here, honeymooned here, and will now spend our first wedding anniversary here, a bit sad but who cares? John, Alison,& Kirsty see you at the bar for a drink or three! Well, i see that Tolis has put advise about dennys breakfast, knowing tolis now for 9/10 years, i can honestly say that i have never seen him at breakfast time, his good lady wife karen can be seen balancing 3 breakfast trays from the dining room up to the third floor though !!!  she has become a expert on this daily routine over the years !!

I must just say that before i met up with tolis, i was a jehovas witness and a member of manchester tram spotting society,and a strict tee totaler. now my life has been turned upside down, i find myself  all the time, but im .

My boyfriend and I are looking forward to 2 weeks of sun and sand, starting on the 24th July at Dennys Inn. After reading some of the reviews we are really looking forward to getting there, it sounds great. As so many of you have been there time and time again, we were wondering if you could help us out with a couple of queries!!

What are the general prices like in Zante?? for meals/ drinks etc???
We arrive in Zante early on the 24th and leave on the 7th Aug, on the tickets it shows we check out of Dennys Inn at 12 (midday) on the 6th Aug, but we dont check in at the airport till 05.30am on the 7th Aug, we have been told by the travel agent that this is normal. Is it???? It just seems like a long time to be homeless for. Luckly we arranged our own transfers so we wont be hanging around at the airport too long at least.

Kirsty ul have gr8 time from what iv hear on the boards, the hotel sounds just gr8 and Kalamaki sounds as if its got some thing 2 suit everyones tastes!  We arrive lunch time on the 20 July which is gr8!!  Cant wait 2 feel the heat of the sun!!!  Bring it on  2 weeks of sun!!!

Hi Kirsty, there are plenty of bars to suite everyone in the resort of Kalamaki, quite bars, loud bars,chill-out bars,just look at the reports on here, As for Dennys Inn,you have pickted a gem here, with all the hardworking staff and relaxing hotel,im sure you will be fine.

Sharon, I am one half of the rowdy sisters I beleive my friend John (Yiannis) is talking about. We arrive on Sunday 16th July so we will look for you. Although you may get a rowdy week with us, it is nothing compared to what happens when John and Co. arrive!!!!!!

Sharon, you will have a great time at Dennys Inn, however there will be two roudy sisters there on your second week, just ignore them pushing in at the bar ect.

  After reading your shockingly inaccurate review on Denny's Inn (Kalamaki) I really don't think that Alan Whicker or Judith Chalmers have anything to worry about!!!

Quick tip, either go to the moon or stay at home because it appears that planet earth is not nearly as good for you as it is for the rest of us!!

Tolis and Yiannis would like to live at Denny's Inn and I expect they do treat it as their second home, but they are holidaymakers like us.  The thing about Denny's Inn is that you are made to feel so welcome it is only too easy to think that you are off to your holiday home for two weeks every year.

Anne. No they do not live there, but they are famous in Kalamaki. (or should it be infamous!). You need to go to Kalamaki in July to catch site of these 2 mountain climbing, mythos drinking legends, and once you have met them you will never forget them!!!

Louise, You will have a brill time,it is the best place to go. My Sister and I are going out on the 16th July so look out for us. We are very quiet girls, but if you ask Bev she will point us out to you. Plenty of good restaurants take your pick when you walk up onto the main strip.Take seriously the warning from Mr Kearney regarding the McFaddens!!!!!!!!.
