Parthenon Restaurant

Really enjoyed eating in lefter's restaurant. He & his staff made us & every customer very welcome. He was very good with the children .........making my grand-daughter a rose out of a napkin............I would highly reccommend this restaurant, as the food was excellent......The barbeque ribs, the bbq chicken melt, & the gyros salad were among the many excellent meals we had there..... 

It was really great Lefteri was really funny and he made me 2 roses out of a napkin! The food was lovely ! But it wasent the best i went to

  Enjoyed every single meal at the Parthenon so much we ended up eating there every night. The staff were fantastic and friendly and always had time to talk to each table and even provided entertainment and a jolly good laugh. They were always busy but managed to make all customers feel special. The food was always served of high quality with plenty to choose from the large menu available including specials each night at good prices. Would highly recommend a visit to the Parthenon.

just got back from two weeks at kalamki and the parthenon was our favourate place to eat. we went back on our very last night and enjoyed the food and great hospitality that was given. like to say a big hello to you all and really missing being out there thank you for all your kindness and charm .

  Hello Timos and boys. Eli here, we visited you restaurant between the 3rd and 9th of August 2009. All our meals were great the atmosphere and staff were brilliant and lots of fun. The Peppered Steak i had on the Saturday was absolutely superb. I,ve recomended your restaurant to all my friends. Thank you Timos for the special Desert we had late at night we will be back next year. Take care till then.

went to kalamaki for my honeymoon 20th - 28th sept 09 and had a fantastic time. we spent every night in the parthanon after stumbling across it on our first night. the food, the atmosphere the house wine!!! and above all the staff were fantastic. they had a brilliant range of vegi food for me and some great meat and fish dishes for stu loved the vegi platter and apparently the zante lamb was my husbands favorite but must add that there wasnt one meal we had that was anything short of amazing. everyone was so friendly and welcoming and they work really hard to make sure you have a wonderful night. Thanks very much to all the lads for making our evenings so enjoyable and we hope Timos is feeling better love rachael and stu Bennion x

  just back from Kalamaki, September 29th. by far the best place to eat is the parthenon restaurant.
great food + great atmosphere = brilliant time. nothing to much trouble, wonderful staff - especially Lefteris
   sincerely recommend to everyone.

the parthenon provided the best food i have experienced on holiday.  the menu is diverse, catering for all needs.  having visited it on many nights and experiencing a wide range of their food i can assure that every dish i sampled oozed quality.  it was all perfectly cooked and was just the right amount.  i expecially recommend the prawns and at every opportunity i urge you to choose the roast potatoes over the chips, they are special!

the prices are low and easily competative with the other surrounding restaurants,  this makes the food taste all the sweeter.  In england the quality of this food would come at a much higher price.  so take advantage.

finally, a large aspect that made us keep going back was the staff.  evry one of them was friendly, funny and made conversation.  they take a genuine interest in how you feel, what you have been doing and where you are from.  they radiate a sense of pride in theri work, and ensure everything they do is to a high standard.  their service is excellent and you can feel the pride they have in their food as it is served.  the waiters are funny and from looking and they are very good with kids if you have a family.  if you go back they recognise you, and by the end of the holiday is resembled being greeted by friends.

I agree with Rich, The Parthenon rocks, the food was excellent, but best of all was the friendly atmosphere at the restaurant, all the staff are amazing, top, top guys! Have a shot of their Rakia, if you dare - a great way to get you buzzing....Thanks for a great time!

Just got back from 2 weeks in Kalamki. Went to the Parthenon on 12 of those days. Food and drink unbelievable but the boys who work there are even better! Lefteris, Timos, Nikos and the rest of the lads are legends! Cheers boys!

Just got back from a nice two week break in Kalamaki and would like to thank Lefterie and the rest of the staff for making our many visits to Parthenon a pleasure. Great food, great atmosphere and GREAT RAKI, even if most of it drank on an afternoon. Cheers to you all, Andy, Graeme and families,

we ate here in the first week of our holiday and couldn't fault it. the food was excellent, the staff very friendly and couldn't do enough, especially where children are concerned, really made us welcome. our little boy thaught it was wonderful, so much so that he asked to go back every night. thank you for making our holiday.

tried here on our 1st night, 5 out of 6 of us enjoyed our meal when we eventualy got it, it did take about 45mins,1 of us had the beef souvlaki and it was rather tough and had to leave it, the staff were friendly enough,  but the wait, too long

Just arrived backfrom Kalamaki, we ate at the Parthenon Restaurant every night, the food was delicious but most of all was the welcome we received from the Staff, Bill and Co.  Missing your kisses already.  Seriously if any one is travelling to Kalamaki then look this restaurant up and I guarantee you will not eat anywhere else, the variety and quality of the food is outstanding.  See you all again soon and wishing you well for all of your futures.  Pam and Tony Spencer

What a wonderful time in Kalamaki (10-05-09  -  25-05-09)

Lefteri was brilliant as where his staff also  His mother is a brilliant cook,restaurnt's wine is lovley.

Will be sure to be back for next May and probably for many years after. This was mine and Linda's first time in Greece but certinaly won't be our last

Had a few meals in here, the country lamb is as delicious as ever, the prices reasonable and the service spot on.

Parthenon has a couple of new waiters who are lovely, but we were gutted to find that Yiannis has left!

Hey, We loved the food here me and my family. The staff were grate with the littel kids and on monday night one of the owners came through into the rose and crown and sat with us for a littel while. We got some pictures took with him and if he trys to put ice down my back again then i will get him back ! And i still have his flower that he gave me ! It was a lovely resturant and me and my family will definatly be eating there again. Thanks Xxxx.

Been coming to zante for six years now four times in kalamaki so hi to all at the Parthenon especially Yiannis the food in your restuarant is second to none my husband Craig loves the Swordfish in country style sauce has it every time we re there while i prefer the beef  stifado but all the food is very good definitely our fav place to eat.Hope to see you all in june this year  byeee.

Lovely to see Yiannis again, he is a credit to the Parthenon.  Ate here a few times as my family love to catch up with him.  Have been going here for 9 years to eat, unfortunately this year, in my opinion, the food was not the usual standard, but my complaint was dealt with very professionally. Disappointing.

 loved this resteraunt fantastic. Loved Yannis and Lefter. would recomend to all. this was far the best holiday i have ever been on and the only holiday that had me in stiches (you know what i mean yannis) hope to be coming back next year well i will beg my mum to letsus come even though we probably are.

THE PARTHENON IN MY OPINION IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN KALAMAKI FOOD IS SUPERB SERVICE IS EVEN BETTER    XX    

Went to Zante in May and stayed at the Maralen hotel, made two great friends Lefteris and Yiannis who im still in contact with. Just to put the comment that was posted on the 13th July that states that Yiannis has gone that is incorrect. Spoke to him and Lefteris today and both are working hard at Parthenon still. I have been told by Lefteris to write on here that Yiannis is still working there and always will be.

we love parthenon.  we tried three other places in our first week but nowhere else was as good for us.  the food is delicious and the service is first class.  the lamb kleftico is amazing.

until then....yammas! (and lots more water!)

Just got back from my 5th visit to kalamaki and i still eat at the parthenon all the time!! the waiters are great, even though yanis has gone :(:(

best cheese pies in the world!! il be back next month so they'd best stock up

Ate here3 times this year , food is excellent service good waiters friendly , my husband reckons they serve the best meatballs in Kalamaki !! See you next year .

It was great to return to the Parthenon again and what a lovely surprise to find the 'famous' Yiannis still there  (Miss u my greek bro x)

Lefteris is the new owner and he, along with Yiannis, Nick and Aldo did everything to make our time in the restaurant happy and fun. The meals are still lovely, good value and there is a wide choice of dishes. I think Lefteris' mum is responsible for most of the cooking and the food tastes great!.  Our overall favourites were the barbeque chicken and the spring rolls which were gorgeous! Lovely frappes and cappucinos too!

The staff are so welcoming and friendly to everyone who visit and of course, the children are always made a great fuss of - they love it in there. Thanks to all of you for making our time special.

Good luck with the new restaurant Lefteris and family, you deserve to do well - can't wait to see you all again in a few weeks..................

First time in Kalamaki for my mum my 3 year old daughter and myself. We really enjoyed our meals at the Parthenon not just because the food was great, but the fun atmosphere that the staff give to their customers. Lefteris and Yiannis genuinely want to see their customers smile and enjoy their time there.

cant believe the parthenon has finally been sold were all totaly gutted  kalamaki just wont be the same for us! thank god we can still go next door and see all the family will have to find a new restaurant,see you all in september,big hugs georgelots of love claire xxx

It is official. The parthenon is being sold. the owners are still keeping the bar though.

I have heard that the Parthenon has been sold and new owners will be there next season.  Come on tell us the truth now, we have been coming to you since 2000 it would be nice to know one of our fave places is going to change hands.  Or could it be the competition are spreading rumours!!

My parents visited earlier in the year to Kalamaki, and decided to return later on in the year, I joined them on their travels as dad said the food was good and mum said wait until you see the waiters.

 as usual the best restaurant in zante great food fab service and the most gorgeous waiters on the island,my daughter celebrated het 8th birthday there and george and yiannis made it very special for her,so thanks heaps guys,cant wait to see you all next year,dont study too hard spongebobgeorgiepants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   big hugs and kisses to all.xxxxxxx

the nicest resturant in kalamaki, we found it at the end of our first week out there and went back every night till the end!

p.s. those toilets are still handy for photos! hahahaha!

this is the best resaurant in kalimaki! the food is delicious, the service is great and is good value for money! looking forward to coming back next year!
