Valais Hotel

Another fab holiday at the Valias. Staff so friendly and helpful. This is our second year and well the Valais staff exceeded themselves.  Shame we had to leave but we will be back next year. First time we have been to Zakynthos and we loved the Alykanas and the Valais hotel.  Rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool and bar one of the best we saw.  Loved being so close to the beach. Will definately go there again.

Best hotel in Alykes Bay, and we didn't even stay there!! Its right by the most perfect stretch of beach, and the food is awesome and well priced.

Come off the beach, order your food and then have a dip in the pool whilst its being cooked. Lush!! Thanks to Roxy.

  We have been to the Valaise 7 years running, it is just like visiting our family. Unfortunately we have not been able to go the last two years, but we are hoping to return this year.  We just love the place, there is 'Just something about it' everyone returns. We cannot fault the Hotel in any way, the location is absolutley brilliant, and the staff are  'Simply the Best' we love them. 

what a hotel! this place made our honeymoon in 2002 perfect. the satff are all really friendly and the rooms and pool are very clean, all this and only a few steps away from the beach what more could you want! we are returning to alikanas in may this year, though unfortunately not to the valais hotel :-( but the resort itself is lovely so i am sure we will have a great time. big hello to mick and joy, we met u after u moved from the apartments. hope u are both ok. love caroline and danny xxx ps wonder if vince will be there again!! :-)

Roxy & co are the bees knees. We stopped close by but got fed up with our accomadation. 'Old George found us a room and allowed us to stay late on the last day with no extra charge. couldn't fault the place in any way? Great pool area and no problem getting a bed, on the beach and great bar/food facilities.

We had a fantastic holiday here,The family couldn't have been more kind and helpful nothing was to much trouble for them,Mum (Georgia) even went to Zante town to collect a birthday cake for us.
Like others before us here the accomodation and location were ideal.
We definately will be returning.
So a great big thankyou to Georgia,Katerina,George and Roxy for making our holiday fantastic.

Excellent. We had a really great holiday. The Hotel is in a Great Location just a few steps away from the beach. Although in a quiet location there are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel bar is really great and the hotel rooms are more than adequate. The swimming pool is large and there is plenty of space for sun bathing around the pool. But the really great thing is the superb staff. They are just the greatest. Just go and see for yourself.

Although we didn't "stay" at the hotel, the Valais Pool Bar is just the best place to sit down, chill out and relax. The staff go out of their way to make your holiday the best. We'll be staying there next year. Thanks George, Katerina and Roxy for a great holiday.

Just returned to UK having had a great week there. We can only echo previous comments, all the people are really good and make you feel like part of the family, service is just what you want. Thanks very much to all of them for a really chill-out week. Will definitely return.

This place has to be the best place I have ever stayed at. Step from your room to the pool (or across the road to the beach) in a couple of minutes.Once there you don't have to move as the beach staff will relay your order for food/drinks by walkie-talkie and bring it to you. Brilliant! The "Greek Night" is an absolute scream with real plates to smash. This is a hot favourite to become my "holiday" home.
Thanks to George,Roxy,Katerina and Georgia (their Loveable mum) for a fantastic time. Get ready to book me in for May next year.

A genuinely family run hotel with a feel to match. I was made to feel very welcome and was able to relax and chill out.

Fantastic location, very friendly staff - greek nights highly recommended - didnt get home til 5 in the morning but hey ho thats part of a holiday!!!!! Will defo be coming back again and again ;-)

Fantastic holiday, great location, wonderful room with a great view of the pool and beach. Excellent food at reasonable prices.

It is our second home and we have been treated like family from the word go.

The only place to stay in Zante! I first came to stay at the hotel in October 2001, and I have been back to stay at the hotel a further 5 times and I am going again for the 6th next week! It is at a wonderful location, you literally walk down the hotel steps and you are on the beach! It is also only a short walk away from the bars and restaurants (about 2 mins) so you are away from the noisy roads but can easily reach the nightlife! The family who runs the hotel make me feel like I am returning to my second home each time I visit! The rooms are ideal and always clean,plus they all come with balconies with superb views. The food offered by the snack bar is delicious and fairly priced. The snack bar also offers a service where they will bring your food down to the beach for you if you wish! The best place for accomodation and a nights drinking in Alykanas by far!

It is advisable to bring a travel kettle. It is a lovely place to stay. George, Katerina, Costas and Georgia are lovely people and make you feel very at home. We been going twice a year for the last four years and we continue to go back every year!!!

we are staying at the Valais Hotel at the end of May, can anyone tell me are there kettles in the rooms, sad I know but we need our cuppa

live wires behind an old radio table prevented us from putting the twin beds together. nice lady cleaned every day but because of the age of the hotel it never felt really clean. The pool bar area was fine where they have obvinously spent the money and not concentrated on the accomodation. We didnt find the staff that friendly either.

We also found that the hotel pool bar snacks and drinks are much more expensive than anywhere else.

Hi, just a message for Emma De Burgh who stayed in the Valais Hotel recently for a week. What are the rooms like? Is there a fridge in the room and what about towels etc.
I'd really appreciate some more info if you have a chance, I don't even know what the hotel looks like.

I have just spent a wonderful week at the Valais Hotel in Alykanas.
The hotel is set up and ran very well, a lovely pool, good facilities,
great beach & sea (very shallow) just a few steps away. We didn't
see the Manos rep after the first day, but it didn't matter as the
family who ran the hotel are so helpful, friendly and accomodating.

We will definately be going again. Relax and enjoy, it is a great
place.

we are going on the 3rd june for 2 weeks is there anyone going with kids around that time as we are taking ours this year we are staying at the valais hotel i dont remember alot of kids last year there probably was but we were on a relaxing holiday last year without the kids kids ages are 13 10 7 4

I'm staying in the Valais Hotel in June 2003. I'm just looking for any general information about the hotel because I have no idea what it looks like or what kind of facilities they provide (clean towels, fridge in room etc.) Any info at all would be a help.

Liked it ? We loved it !!! After MANOS dumped us at the Antonio Apartment Building Site in Alykanas we were lucky enough to find the Valais Hotel. We quickly left the Antonio and booked into the Valais (legal proceedings with MANOS are underway) The rooms were spacy and clean with fantastic views of Alykanas bay. There is a good sized pool surrounded by a terrace and a bar that serves a huge selection of drinks and does great lunch time food. Just across the road (about 10 steps) and you're onto the beautiful beach of Alykanas. From looking at others whilst we were there we'd definately rate it as the best accomodation in Alykanas (an not too pricey either !)

We have stayed at the Valais three times now and have booked again for September because we enjoy it there so much. It is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and the family who run it are very friendly.

if you like fly's with your meal its not a bad place to eat for a snack
