Hi All, just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, the shaven headed goatie bearded, soul singin, hog riding, "Ultimate Essex Man" is swimming back from the deepest darkest depths of the thames  for the first of this years 2 week jaunts on the 15th of May. Looking forward to seeing all at the Rose and Crown and don't forget Brian.......Down 3 clicks on "Try a little tenderness" cos it's not only the old voice that feels the strain on the high notes.  see ya soon.

well what can i say me n my mate had a right laugh there every night n the bar staff were great especially sweet lickle costa n parthenon next door wow dint you just think the waiters Julian n roberto (sonic) were just gergeous......... so hiya to everyone n hope your all fine

Being typically Irish we were in the Rose and Crown every morning for our cure!In the end we realised that it wasnt so much the drink, but George the son of the owner that was our cure. He is the most obliging (and cute) young man i have ever met. But it was after all it was his older brothers fault we were so sick every morning because at night you just dont want to leave the place incase you miss one of the staff doing something crazy !!Brilliant craic and very friendly place. 

my wife and i spent our honeymoon in kalamaki in 2003 and spent every night at the rose and crown, best bar in zante, were going back this june (05) cant wait

this is my local from now on when i visit kalamaki with spiros, costas, mel and of course the 1 and only true scottishman brian the karaoke king . the people are so freindly and on the karaoke at night its such a laugh. im definetly going back nex year, but in july this time because we went in september and i only got back on the 21st so i'm a bit depressed. anyway c u soon brian and all the guys and mel. P.S i reccomend this bar for any body.

Nice relaxed bar with karaoke every night for all you elvis lovers, nice atmosphere with a lovely waitress wehay and cool bar staff.The bloke we saw get up on the live night and sing Angels was excellent who ever you are!

first time in this bar since last september, walked in and brian gave me a hug and said 'welcome home' that is exactly how we feel about this bar. spiros, brian, costas and mel made our holiday even better.
left a bottle of wine (only cheap stuff, nothing special) there one night, costas (bless him) jumped on his bike and brought it to our hotel, nice people, great bar.

We didn`t feel particularly welcome, we met Brian and Heather two years ago but he didn`t remember us and we didn`t see Heather this time, it seems they have personal favourites who get the best service!

Been to Kalamaki twice in the last 2 months, Rose & Crown is cool. Heather & Brian are fab. Brian can be a bit quiet though until he's had a drink or 2, then he's as rowdy as a Scotsman can be. Spyros is also very friendly and a good singer, when he gets up. Costas is a must see, quiet but mad as, he seems to come alive at about midnight. And one particular very very handsome waiter next door in the restaurant, that you can clearly see from the bar.
See you guys in August, yes i'm coming back AGAIN.

Heatheris a star, Her husband is a crap entertainer and poor singer, the place is a bit down market with the same drunks singing every night.

Stayed in Kalamaki from the 3rd may to the 10th 2004. The weather was poor for the majority of it but me and my girlfriend Isy had a fantastic holiday due largely to The staff at the Rose And Crown. Wed like to thank Speros Brian and Heather for making this a quality Holiday. The food was great and you couldnt find a better english breakfast in Kalamaki. As for the drinks you get a free shot with every drink at night and prices are no more expensive than anywhere else! Once again cheers

there is only 1 thing i can say about the rose and crown and that is that it is the best bar in the whole of Zante! The staff are really cool expecially heather and brian dey made every nite a gr8 nite. Thnx Brian for making us get up and dance 2 the slide song every nite 5 times a night! What can i say? I have never met a better bunch of people than
the guys that work in the Rose 'n' Crown. I worked across the
road at a pool bar for the first 3 months of the season. If it wasnt
for the people at the Rose 'n' Crown, i would have left a lot
earlier. Spiros, Brian, Heather and Costa were like a second
family. They are the type of people that will take anyone in and
make them feel like a part of their close-knit group. And if you are
a good-looking young girl.. costa, the local stud will make you
more than welcome. LOOK OUT!!
Words cannot describe what i think about Brian and Heather. For
starters, they are probably the most perfect couple i have ever
seen. They get along so well, and they have so much in
common. For example, neither of them can sing! My god,
Heathers' terrible renditions of Big Spender and Brians' constant
strangling of a cat, the nightmare is unbelievable. Just kidding!
Spiros is a great bloke, and obviously a great boss. He has
developed a great team of workers that create an amazing
atmosphere.
It was an awesome experience meeting these people. If anyone
is in kalamaki, the Rose 'n' Crown is a must see. Regards,

Nari the albanion who worked there during the day n sometimes at nite but was a waiter nxt door in the resturant everynite has left us now 2 go n live wiv his lovely wife cheryl. we just hope him the best of look where ever he has gone n we hope he visits nxt summer for a while coz he is just the best well they all r but he stands out the most!!!

best bar in kalamaki kareoke is great as is the quiz but watch out for the sniflers!!!!!!!!!good cocktail menu as well the brown squirells and suffering b*****ds were great

Loved the Rose n Crown. Went there every night to see my dad (Brian) and Heather. The karaoke was gr8 so are Nice n Easy. We miss everyone but me and lisa will be back in October, and next year.

We went to the Rose and Crown every night, the atmosphere is great, the staff Spiros, Brian and Heather all made us feel very welcome. Twice a week that have some singers in that are really funny and they also do karoke nights. We loved the place.

we stayed in laganas but we had freinds staying in kalamaki.our freinds met brian and heather last year and became mates so we spent most our time in the rose and crown. we had a great time and a lot of hangovers.if you go to kalamaki make the rose and crown your regular you will have a great holliday.and say hi to brian heather and spiros from chris leigh andrew delyth mark and anne !!!!!!

Still the best bar in town (not that I'm biased at all because my friends work there!) Spiros, the guy who runs the bar, is still as superb as ever and he is now aided and abetted by the equally superb Brian and Heather. This bar has constant entertainment from karaoke and quizes to live entertainment (provided by the group Nice 'n' Easy)and also has a pool table and satlite TV showing the latest movies. It also has a restaurant next door called The Parthenon which is also run by Spiros' family. The best way to spend your evenings is to have a great meal in The Parthenon restaurant and then move next door to the Rose and Crown bar to enjoy some lively entertainment (not to mention the shots and cocktails!) Ideal for all ages - I dare you not to have fun!

Top quality. My girlfriend enjoyed it especially when singing her little heart out on the Karaoke and dancing on the bar to Shakira, waiting for the pictures (should be funny). Heather and Brain are tip top, and that spiro fella is alright. Top people, top place. A must go for anyone who likes a friendly and funny place. Not to sure about the Hunks comment we have to fill in.

What a brilliant bar!! Spiros was the arch-typical English loving Greek, playing "Vindaloo" during Englands world cup matches. The wondeful Brian and his beautiful wife Heather make this bar one of the best ran on the island. A FANTASTIC BAR, with the best restaurant on the island next door.

Excellant night, we had a great night. We also found Brian and Heather that used to work in Angels bar 2001 are now working in the Rose n Crown. We also meet Spiros the friendly owner. They all made our holiday very special.

Rose and Crown - english pub was great! Spiros is very cute although i thought he looked pretty scary at first untill i got to know him, he is off his head.They put on great films and sports. They do great acts too. ( nice and easy and better than that is brian and heather's kareoke) I met some lads over there and were nuts. (rowan, alan and james) If there is anyone feelin horny right now in the pub just honk the horn! :D i love jannis 3 n 4 n Spiros. If ya wanna know what spiros looks like i will give ya a discription. here goes: He is tall and speaks good english and sounds American. He has pretty big muscles and has longish dark hair and he wears it in a pony tail. ( greasy, ha ha, only jokin its gell hee hee) oh yeah, he has a brother called gorgie who is in the army n i saw him 1 night and he couldn't remeber me dancin for him 3 years ago :( Anyway its the best bar in Kalamaki and i'm lookin forward to seeing yas all soon

yannis 4 was sex on legs im telling ya!. the barmen wasnt bad looking but aint got a clue when it comes to romance. BENNY HILL just about summs him up. Drinks were good, capacciono shot and screaming orgasm cocktail are highly recomended. Dont flirt wiv Yannis 1 cause he will think he is in there!!!!. Look out for RICKYYYYYYYYY!!!(eastenders). Fab "English-style" bar/pub, next door to The Parthenon restaurant and run by the same Greek family. Tassos and Spiros behind the bar will mix you up some very dangerous cocktails and take care of your every alcholic need. There is nightly showings of the latest movies,music, pool table and occasional live entertainment. Very friendly bar, the guys at The Parthenon will keep you entertained!

Friendly place. good beer, good food, good service. The evening film show was okay too.
