It was nice friendly place. Sometimes it was fire put on the bar to dance with. Crazy people. Crazy frog! There was many english people there who danced a lot and touch themselves. Great music and party people. Remeny

I wasn't sure about this place to start with, but soon as I got sat down with a beer. Paradise City came on! awesome, the DJ's seem to play a wide range of music to suit a variety of tastes. Pretty cool place! 8/10

What can you say about a bar that plays Paradise City as soon as you walk in?  Magic (heh).  Seriously, its a fairly decent place, but one of the DJ's can ruin the music somewhat.  Worth going to.  7/10

hey to everyone at the magic mushroom.i was there in august with my friend and we thought it was brill. we well loved niko behind the bar he was really fit, always gave me his last lolly pop. thanks to him for the kiss a got from him and ronnie the day before i left.the guys there were okay bit hands on though! we went there nearly eveynite. miss niko jenny and ronnie loads see you all hopefully next year when i come over again in july. love sam xxxxxx

we were here every night, really friendly staff and its cool when nickos puts the bar on fire, but down fall was that they veiwed football quite often eventually the music would come back on, then i could shake my booty on the dance floor! cant wait to go back xxx

we were in argassi for a week(far too short) in the,middle of august and had an unbelievable time.loved "the shroom"! we irish danced down the main street in the early hours of many a morning!! are completely infactuated with nikos and his fire show, tried to introduce something like it in our local but to no avail!! loved the song that was played aswell, if anybody knows who sings it would love to know. are going back for three weeks next year and are counting down the days! would advise evryone to go to the magical island, you'll never forget it. take care of yourselves! yamas xxx

One of ther best bars in Argassi. Spent many of our nights in here. The music's great and the bar staff are so friendly, always giving us free shots. Loved dancing on the bar! Bonus having a pool table!

Had the worst drink ever from here, I asked for Malibu, not the cheap version - which I would like to add come from a Malibu bottle.. Trust me I know my malibu, ended up leaving it and walking out, atmosphere was terrible and I now know why! AVOID THIS BAR AND GO TO OASIS FOR A REAL DRINK!

Was looking forward to going to this place as everyone said i had to go. When I got there, it was like being in play school, the music was ok. Passed this place a few times to go to other places and thought i was in groundhog day as they played the same music everynight!

I was at the bar the night all the electricity went out.. - my last night after I had been working in Argassi for two month... Anyway, they fixed the problem with the light and music by putting some candlelights up, and then they got a man to come and play on his saxophone *lol* - not exactly the way you normally see the magic..
Anyway, then I miss this place like sh*t.. Can't wait to get back there next spring...

this has to be THE best bar EVER!!!!!!! we went to this bar every night in the hope to catch the fire guy. he was absolutely amazing. the staff were all friendly and the service was excellent.without even asking for it as soon as the fireguy saw us enter the bar he pured us a vodke and coke and a blue wkd immediately he's great!!!!! definately one place were missing whilst back. this bar is definately making us want to go back to argassi next year.

I liked it here, the music was good and there was a good atmosphere. But the drinks were really expensive.

Please could anybody help me.Myself and girlfriend have recentley returned from Argassi and had a ball,one of the highlights was in the magic mushroom when the barman set the bar alight,we asked the Dj the name of the music that he played when the bar was lit which he obliged but upon our return and lots of delving i am still unable to obtain the music PLEASE can any one help.

Truly the best bar in Argassi as mentioned by others. My husband and I have been coming to Zante for a few years now and always come to the bar. The people are great, especially Costas, Savas and his lovely wife Maria (good luck with the baby guys) not another bar like it in Argassi. We will see ya there next year hopefully.

UNDISPUTED, THE BEST BAR IN ARGASSI, by an extremely long way! The drinks are brill(when u ask 4 it strong you get it STRONG) The music is fantastic ditto the DJ ( although he threatened to beat me up LOL) we were in there every night without fail, its manic rite up until closing time. Best atmosphere, best drinks, best music, best bar!!!!

The magic mushroom was fantastic, their cocktails were suburb, i'd love to go back to Argassi just for a cocktail from the excellent staff at the Magic Mushroom. 10/10 for the club!!!!!!!

August 2003 will be our 3rd visit in as many years. Great music great staff, great atmophere. Nikos makes the best cocktails in the world. We have met some really nice people there and the fire display around 11pm is brilliant. Looking forward to seeing everyonr there this year.

Excellent Pub/Club! Went in late May 2002 and it was rockin'. Nutty barman lit the bar alight every night and spat spirits into flames. Good entertainment throughtout the holiday and absolutely lush cocktails!!!

The magic mushroom was excellent! They make the best Cherry cocktails in the World! There ar'nt that many hunks there mind you quite a few old coffin dodgers!! 10/10 for the cocktails!!!

There is just one thing you can say..... THE BEST PLACE OF THEM ALL!!!!! The music is the best, you can´t get enough.... And all the staff is so nice and funny, especially Savos.... We loved the place, and just like Arnold says in the movie: "I´ll be back".... that you can count on... Have a nice winter, see you next summer....

By far the best bar in Zante!!! if you want free drinks all night just get up on the bar for a boogie they don't mind, try not 2 fall off though like us! Bar staff are friendly even though there old men (well over 40)Go in its a good night out!!

very average bar where music was cheesy at best and rubbish at worst. 1 night was enough in this bar though it was busy most nights that I walked past it.

The Magic Mushroom does have a great atmosphere, especially for the Irish World cup matches! Excellent bar!

I've been on Zante a couple of times during this last year, and I made a lot of friends there, mostly greek boys.. Most of the time we spend on Magic, cuz there's a nice atmosphere, and you are actually able to talk. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had met or been together with any of them, they're called Jimmy/Dimitris, Kristos, Bledi, Tano/Forti, Yanis/Johnny, george/Bledi, Gerti and Panojotis.. So if you've met them, please contact me.. And to every one else, who is going to Zante, and especially Argassi, I can only say, have a serius GREAT time, just as I did.

i thought this was a good place. just ignore ALL the tossers or take the p.i.s.s. out of them!!! i thought the bar staff were a good laugh!! had a water fight with Iggy Pop one nite! although he cheated! i only had a TINY water gun and he used a 1.5 litre bottle of water!!! good fun though!! cocktails great! this is where we watched our irish games (great atmosphere!!!)

This bar was alright. we spent our time upstairs on the first few nights when we went there but after discovering the rest of argassi we realised it wasnt as lively as some of the other stuff going on but i think it may have been a little bit cheaper. bar men very nice, got lots of free drinks ;) and i also advise you to try he chocolate orgasm!

I wrecken this was a great pub to begin a mad night in. The cocktails were cheap and very tasty. My boyfriend drank 'Chocolate Orgasm' and I always drank 'Fruits of the Ocean'. Phil is the man in the gaf. The fire man is excellent. I got some great pictures of him. I wrecken 'I'LL BE BACK!! next year. The bar staff were lovely and the music got me going all night.

I was on holiday with gemma. Definately the 'FRUITS OF THE OCEAN', it was by far the best. Yeah either saty here all night or go on to the factory after a couple of hours of frolicking in the magic mushroom.

We too agree that the tune played when Iggy Pop did his fire breathing act was cool, by the way its called Never Gonna Do by Goosebump. We had some great nights here also.

I agree that this was the best bar in town, i don't see any mentions of my favourite barman though! Bill is by far the best, his fruits of the ocean and sex on the beach with a twist are amazing. Can't wait to go back, even though I only got home yesterday. If you're going to Argassi definitely go here before the factory, or stay here all night!

Good bar to sit outside and chill, watching the world go buy. You have the option of a quiet drink or a boogie, good range of music. the girls that serve the drinks are nice, and means if you dont want to move, you dont have too! Good to go to before the Factory, Cheeper!! Recommend it.

Oh man what a cool bar!!! The fire-breathing dude really does need to be on a bigger stage!! He made the night! Every night he burned the bar and you could tell thats what the crowd were gagging for. He was a real entertainer watch out for him coming round with the tequila for a dentists chair type thing!!! Music was always excellent, good pop to dance to. Just opened the upstairs roof bar as well which is really cool!!! Truly the coolest bar in Argassi, we shall be telling all our mates about him!!!!!

i went to zante in 2000,and me and my mate loved it !!!!.we miss kostas ,savos and nikos so much it kills us so if you have then number to the bar it would be great !.it was my fave hol and i would for def go back but now i live in spain and i cant get the money to go c em so please please will someone find the number for me !!! xx

We liked the music at the bar. I thought the drinks were a little dearer than in other places. The bottles of beer are the normal size but same price as the 0.5litre bottles elsewhere.

My friend and i usually went here at around midnight, it wasnt that packed upstairs but it was downstairs. We went with a couple of boys we met there and usualy hung out at the extended bit which we though resemble a tree house. The drinks were nice but i cant comment on the price as my friend and i got them brought for us. I recommend this bar. i also recommend the restaurant across the road called afrodite!

This place was cool and had a nice seating area outside, the upstairs bar which opened whilst we were there was really nice and the drinks reallt strong. The only bad thing was the music which was abit like a 'Now 1993' CD and not v. up to date.

this was a really poncy place to go! and seemed to be more for the g*y market!

After three visits To Argassi i am in no doubt the magic mushroom can only be bettered by Zero's Lagana and thats because it plays the most up-to-date music from dusk till dawn. Kostas, Sava and George are bees knees and George we will be back for a re-match. p.s. Steve i would have liked 2 hours solid sleep but the women are soooo demanding.
