I was impressed with my Rep (Ollie) while staying at Plaza 2. On getting off the Bus from the Airport he even took my Case up to the Reception of my accommodation and it was really heavy. I really appreciated his help as it was also really hot at the time I got there late afternoon. He did the usual Welcome Meeting without being pushy about booking trips. I had booked a Coach Tour of the Island and the bus never showed up. On him doing his usual visit to the Apartments I told him what had happened later that A.M.. I then got a choice of either my money back or booking again the next week with no questions asked and the next week the Bus did show up and I had an enjoyable time. He got lots of complaints within Plaza 1 and Plaza 2 and I felt he dealt with them to the best of his ability.
We have been travelling to the Greek Islands for the past 14 years and this was the first, and I am afraid to say, last time we travel with Manos. As my husband is disabled we had asked for a room in a quiet part of the complex, imagine our horror when we were given room 101 at Dannys, just 10 feet away from the bar. Manos what are you trying to do - it felt to us that you were laughing in our faces. I spoke to the rep, very politely explaining our situation the next day. He said we could move two floors up and three rooms along (this is still facing the bar and noise travels upwards and my husband is disabled) - hello is anybody there!!!!!! Oh also it would cost us 20 Euros to move as well. The room we had for the first time in Greece was very very substandard. We had three electric sockets hanging out of the walls (we had a 10 year old with us - luckily he knew not to touch these - a baby would not have). A broken shower head which sprayed water everywhere but on you and the cleaners never once cleaned the mirror of which the shower squirted on to - I would have done it myself, but I was on holiday and did not have any cleaning materials with me and was loathe to by any. Anyway getting back to the Manos Rep - the bigger man is the one that knows you have had a problem, when he sees you pops over to see how you are getting on and makes polite conversation - the rep we had, once I had spoken to him, everytime he saw us he avoided us as though we had the plague! I am sorry Manos we will not be back - it is back to Kosmar and Libra for us.
Manos are a disgrace.
They did not know where we were staying when we arrived.
The accommodation was filthy.
The bus didn't pick us up for the airport on the last day and when we phoned the helpline we were told we were not on the list and to sort our own transport out.
The rep was rude, evasive and did not help with any problems we had.
We will never travel with Manos again.
Manos were okay.
I probably wouldn't travel with them again, though.
Toni, our rep, says she would have been there every day in case of any probs, we never saw her until the day we left.
Which, understandably, we knew she would have a lot of other work, etc, but why say it ?!?
Overall it was okay, though.
overall they were their when you needed them rep could be foung at the pool bar most days, dont book any tours through them tho as their cheaper on the street, and dont go on the bar crawl not very good!
we had bit of mix up on our return because greek coach boss forgot to tell driver where to pick up rep-but the driver was very good on his own!you haveto go with the flow most of the timeand some of the reps are quite young and don't need grief over silly things.the egg and chips brigade should stay at home!i'd go with manos again!

We have been to Alykes five times with Manos & they are good.It is no good being rude to the reps it is not always there fault.
I worked in Kalamaki during Summer 2002 as a Manos Rep. Whilst i enjoyed my experience, i have to say that the ignorance and arrogance of some british holidaymakers is absolutely beyond belief! People complaining about things such as aircraft/animal noise and the condition of the airport etc - YOU ARE ON A GREEK ISLAND!!! What do you expect? As for people that claim "we never saw the Rep for the whole fortnight - if you bothered to read the notice board to find out when the duty times are,perhaps you may have more luck! It simply amazed me how some people come abroad for their annual holiday and find things to moan about - just chill out and enjoy yourselves for goodness sake! Dont get me wrong i believe in good customer service and if there is a genuine problem,then it should be rectified.
Alexia Cookson - With all due respect the Hotel Exotica is only 2 mins drive from the airport and would cost you pennies in a taxi, why on earth stand and wait for 2 hours?????!!!!!
Colin & Linda Ward - You knew you were booking a package holiday so why complain about being treated like cattle? if you dont like it, travel independently!
Anyway, next time you travel abroad try and have a bit of respect for your rep,we work harder than you probably ever will and i mean that!
In comment to Alexia Cookson, Elaine Wilson isn't even a Manos Rep. Ger your facts right first before slagging of colleagues.
Manos are a complete waste of time, unfortunately they are the only ones who deal with the apartments we stayed at, which were excellent. The information pack when we arrived was one sheet of paper relating to events in laganas (we were in Alykes), the rep, lindsey, was useless when we arrived at our room and couldnt get in as the door was broken. When we did get in, she promised someone from manos would check on us the next day to ensure we were ok....surprise, surprise, we never heard a word more from them. She even cancelled two visits so we never saw her until we got to the airport on the way home!
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND MANOS TO ANYONE.
This was the least legroom ever had on a flight. The transfer to Alykes took 2 hrs, yet they managed to get us back to the airport in 30 minutes! No welcome pack and we were not told when the welcome meeting was due to take place so we missed it. Hard work trying to find out what room we were in - transfer rep left it for the accommodation owners to show us to our rooms. No information and no communication.

From our + our neighbours experience though, Manos seem like a company who have given up the will to live - one view at our resort was that it had something to do with them being the subject of recent takeover
eg, being told at the airport they had "no idea" where our villa was when asked to mark it on a map (we'd hired a car from the airport), there attitude when we raised serious safety/practical probs with our villa.... "thats the way the Greeks are" (racist ?), "its cheaper to eat out" (then why pretend its self catering ?) and, most irritating, "raise it with the owner" (is'nt that you job ?!), emergency contact nos leading to a Greek answer phone message or someone saying they work for a different company and so on

good luck writing a letter of complaint to Manos. We did this in 1999 and felt like we had bashed our heads against a brick wall. We were virtually accused of lying, when in actual fact it was the rep who did all the lying ( she knows who she is)
Our rep was ok, but the overall holiday has resulted me writing to manos when returning home
Well the transfer from the airport was ok, quick and informative.
Our Holiday Rep Fiona was a lovely girl!(and probably still is.)
Very pleasant, Helpful, informative and underpaid!!
She had to put up with a push bike that had no breaks (hope you have recovered from your crash!)

As for the flights, erm, a bit dodgy, alot of turbulance, food ok.

we love the place 3 times this year . stayed at antonios this time but the rep was just never there we only saw her once at the transfer from the airport we were going to alykanas , all the rep went on about was how good tsivi was which i thought was bad as we were going to alykanas we told the other people more about the resort then the rep did. still had a great holiday
THE WORST TOUR OPERATOR I HAVE EVER TRAVELLED WITH!!!!!!!
No sleep first night due to animal noise. When we asked to be moved to other apartments (anywhere would have done) it took our rep two days to make a phone call to find out if this was possible. In the end we tired of having to chase the rep and the customer service agents and had to sort ourselves out. We were lied to, messed around, had to change apartments twice and had a nightmare because of Manos.
Thankfully, in the end, our holiday was good, because we made excursions, hired a jeep and travelled. If we had relied on Manos, we would have been miserable.
Would NEVER travel with Manos again. Basil Fawlty has better customer service skills.
What can i say. Manos are brilliant. Usual thing for me on a flight. Take off 30 mins late and arrive on time. Sat on the coach waiting for our transfer and the rep got on. It was Karen who we had last year. Without us saying anything she recognised us and came over talking to us and this carried on all through the holiday. Now that is what you call customer service. Definately will travel with Manos again. Strongly recommended.

Didn't have any problems with Manos until our bus to the airport never turned up. We waited at the corner of the Exotica hotel as detailed from 16.15 ready for our pick up at 16.30 we waited 2 hours in sweltering heat with two young kid (5 and 3). We then thought we should get a taxi on our arrival at the airport I spoke to the rep who called us liars because she said she had gone done to the apartments!!! at exactly 16.30!!!. If she had she would have seen us there were only 2 coaches passed us a neither were Manos. They would not refund our money for the taxis. This happened to two other families on the same flight that we knew off. Their customer service manager needs a lesson on communication skills. Would not travel with Manos again purely for the reason that Elaine Wilson(Manos rep) would not admit that she was lying.
2nd time we have used manos to go to laganas. we must have the best rep ever. Karen if you see this its true!! we were lucky when we arrived into zante as we were the only flight in so it took only 20 mins to get our luggage through. transfer was dead quick as we only dropped people off in laganas. welcome meeting excellent didnt give too much info on all the tours you could do but enough to get you interested. Karen spends a lot of her time at the plaza 2 but will always stop and ask how you are etc. again nothing was too much trouble and you can have a laugh with her, met some other manos reps with karen as well and they were all really nice as well.
flight was good as well.
will definitely use manos again so we'll probabaly see you next year Karen!!!
hi Just got back from Argassi, have to say the rep kept us very well informed (Caroline). Could be found most evenings in the Gazebo apartments bar..Very good for a laugh and able to recomend good places to eat and see - also nothing too much trouble for her to look into even if she wasnt working and you saw her she was very happy to help...
Just returned from 2 weeks in alykes, would like to say a big thankyou to lisa the lovley manos rep, and another big thankyou to my travel airways, both were first class, The problem with zante is the greeks dont want to spend any money on the airport,bloody place is a disgrace.
we travelled with manos to Tsilivi last july staying at the FANTASTIC Yiota apt.(next door to Sofia apt.) would recommend them, spacious, clean, great position and set in lovely gardens, the maid was super (washed my breakfast pots while we layed on the beach). The manos rep was at hand everyday although we didnt need her she always asked how the children were etc. coach transfers and flights were excellent, our best holiday yet, WE WOULD TRAVEL WITH MANOS AGAIN and DEFINITELY STAY AT THE YIOTA APT.AGAIN.
resort rep didn't have a clue. we booked a trip to athens as we thought we would sail through the corinth canal. 6 hours on a coach later we drove over it!
the transfer to our resort was an absolute nightmare. an hour to fight for our bags- an hour waiting on a coach whilst the other passengers from the 4 flights that arrived at the same time fought for their bags.
another hour to travel the 16-yes 16- kilometres to alikes.
i could feel mysefl starting to moo! we were treated so much like cattle. b*****ds.
it could have spoiled our holiday but it didn't.
rep on the coach transfer back to the airport: "as long as i've got the right number on my coach i'm not bothered" it didn't have to be the right people apparently!

First time we have travelled with Manos. Probably will not use them again. Stayed in Laganas between 17 - 24 October. The accommodation was pants and the rep although friendly, was not helpful and was defensive about the owner of the property than the lack of cleanliness in our room. Also she was going home the same day as ourselves so didn't think her heart was in her job at this time.
Stayed at the Marios apartments in Argassi, Sept 26th - Oct 10th 2002. Rep. (Hazel)was very helpful and informative. Never difficult to see as she advertised her visiting times to various points and stuck to them. we were a little puzzled as to the reasons for filling in the questionare to be able to gain our departure details, perhaps its Manos company policy
manos are a disaster.period.i cannot even begin to tell you the problems we had and how absolutly pathetic this organisation is.dont give them your money,go some to some company that gives a damn..
I've been twice to Kalamaki with Manos and can find no fault with them. Paula (Sept 2002) was very helpful and did her best to sort out minor problems. She also was a mine of knowledge about the island. For someone who gets around on a bicycle, has to meet planes at any time of day or night and only has one day off a week, I reckon she was a hero.
Went and saw Karen again when she was out on the barcrawl n she remembered who we were - which is good service seein as months had past. Travelled Golden Sun in Sep - big mistake n are happily goin with Manos next July - hurrah!!!
went to argassi in may with manos. overall not too bad, rep not seen too often after the hard sell at the welcome meeting. the only thing that got my back up, was when a not was stuck on our door that we HAD to fill in the holiday evaluation form in order to get out return flight details.We HAD to give it to the rep at a specific time on our last day, interrupting any plans. I always thought these things were optional, but not according to manos.Wonder what would have happened if we hadnt gone? had to stay in argassi ???? damn.
I've got one word for this company and thats CRAP. Didn't see the Rep once, when hte flight was delayed we relied on other company reps to keep us informed as Manos reps nowhere to be seen. Definately won't be using Manos or MyTravel again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
we have travelled with manos twice now,the reps have been really helpful and friendly.The only problem was our early morning pick up (3.10am)was about an hour late, but they reopened check-in for us and there were no delays. (a shame we could have done with a few more days) We are looking foward too next years holiday with them.
Manos were fantastic. The flights with My Travel were great (no delays in either direction), the transfer was quick and easy, the accommodation (Stelianna apartments in Kalamaki) was superb and the Manos reps were very friendly and helpful. We had a welcome meeting which was very informative about the resort and trips offered etc. and the information for our return flight was delivered to us by the rep the day before our flight home. I had need of a doctor while I was on holiday and the Manos rep was very helpful indeed. I will definitely be travelling with Manos again!
Did not see a rep for the whole two weeks that we were there, never had a welcome meeting and only just about found out about the travel home, very very poor service, would not use them again. delayed and the airport due to the plane having a flat tyre, then got to gatwick and they had lost 3quarter of the planes luggage, so would not fly by mytravel again also. what a poor show of a travel agent!!!!!!
The rep Karen was lovely!!! Only problem was the delay on the way back n the fact that the free food we got was not edible! But id definatly fly with Manos again!!! U HAVE to go on the Manos Mission Bar Crawl - def 1 of the best nights on the holiday!
The flight and transfer for our holiday to Laganas was fine and perfectly normal. Our accomodation was a bit basic to say the least but in the end it didn't matter cos all we did was sleep and shower in it!! Our rep Richard was just the greatest, a total sweetheart. He was at hand whenever we needed to get a hold of him and needed any help! He told us what was good and where to go!! Thanks to him & Manos our holiday turned out to be one of the best weeks of our lives!!
Our holiday was brilliant !!! Thanks to us and not to MANOS !!! We arrived at our QUIET room, in a QUIET hotel, next to a QUIET road, in a QUIET area of Alykanas. Turned out to be next to the main road into the resort with two building sites adjacent ! No hot running water and bats living on our balcony. Complained to the rep who was most suprised. Fortunately met with other Antonio apartment inmates who had similar stories, the rep had been fobbing them off since they arrived. Just for entertainment here's some replies Q:We requested a double bed ... A: There aren't any on the island... Q:We had no hot water...A:Its solar powered, depends on the weather...Q: There are bats living on our balcony ... A:They're not bats they're Swallows ... Q: We want alternative accomodation ... A: The island is full ... After a day and night of cement mixers and JCB's we packed up and checked in to the Valais Hotel. The hotel, resort and holiday was brilliant, big shame about Manos who couldn't give a damn and are now being pursued by myself and a group of others for compensation. You have a choice, DON'T choose Manos !!!
No complaints about Manos, their organisation worked well and the rep Laura very good. We stayed at the Neraider in Tsilivi and at £300 each for 3 weeks unbeatable value.
Firstly, we loved Alikanas as we've been comong here for ten years, but MANOS are basically...rubbish!! Been on 2 holidays with them and both times they failed to help my husband and I. Our little girl's buggy was lost on way from the airport to appts,reported it asap,MANOS loaned us a replacement buggy, more like a death trap!!It was held together with coat-hanger wire and twigs!!My daughter was 2 years old,there was no safety harness in it either.She scratched her arm on the wire.We never found our buggy and never received any compensation,even though we contacted MANOS when we arrived home.We sent them photos of the so called buggy they loaned us,but they just weren't interested, neither was the rep at the time!!!!!
A very large group of us have been twice now, (47 & 73) and we've got no complaints at all. Stayed in Tsilivi twice and the reps have been great. Nothing was too much trouble for Ruth and Denise and the service we received was top class ! Going back in May with Manos again, I can't understand what people are moaning about - if you want waiting on hand and foot then you'll have to pay the money for it ! I know Manos are cheap, but you get more than what you pay for !

We stayed in dimitra apartments in vassilicos..the rooms were only cleaned once a week but the cleaner was coming in everyday for some reason..toilets were pathetic every time you have a shower theres water everywere..make sure you bring your hiking boots or hire a care because its a nightmare getting anywere.Don't come here if you hate farm noises every morning or loud bikes all through the night.The beaches are fantastic but be prepered to walk.The calyipso bar on the way to porto roma is one of the freindlier bars around.You may find the tavernas owners get a bit stroppy when they are busy.My advice avoid these appartments at all cost!!
I have no complaints to make about Manos holidays! My sis and I spent three weeks in Laganas and our rep Jackie was brilliant. I had to miss an excursion due to having an eye infection and she was very understanding and helpful, booking us in for another straight away. Overall she was very approachable and not in the least false which was refreshing. Our apartment was very well located and always clean. We would certainly book with Manos again!
I am not gonna complain about the accomodation, The flight, the transfer or the holiday at all, Cos we have just had two great weeks...BUT The MANOS rep was USELESS !!, never around, knew nothing other than textbook stuff about the island, well what bit she needed to sell her tours(It still amazes me people still book these through their reps......WAKE UP TO THE CON !!) As we were on the early morning flight (closed airport/turtles etc etc)I wanted a courtesy room for the 12noon til 2.30am pick-up period. She told me "THIS WASNT POSSIBLE" in case Manos couldfill any rooms with late bookings from the UK and persisted to try to to book us into a nearby £30 per night hotel ("You will get nothing else, everywhere is full".........B*ll*cks!! Sorted out a room locally, cost me less than a tenner!! So yet again, it wouldnt put me off using Manos again, but I am just glad we didnt NEED the rep, and we are quite used to dealing with travel problems ourselves, if you rely on reps as part of your Holiday..BOOK WITH SOMEONE ELSE!! We always use Manos, good value for money.Rep (Ruth)this year in Tsilivi was not pushy at all and was quite honest, quite refreshing. Would recommend Manos if you want a reasonably priced holiday and even our flight times were goods this year
My sister Isabelle and I came back from Zante a week ago and we booked with Manos. Our rep Jackie from New Zeland was lovely and very helpful. The manos mission bar crawl was brilliant so if you have the oppertunity, go on it!!
The holiday itself was good ('Mermaids' excellent), but was ruined by the ineptitude of the Manos Rep who has so far has left us £240 out of pocket. We lost one of our bags on the transfer coach to our hotel, it contained approx £240 worth of goods. The Manos Rep said she was investigating our loss but she could not track our coach driver down ('He could be anywhere in Greece'). This bluff went on for 10 days after which we were advised to report our loss to the Police in Zante Town, which we duly did. Unfortunately it was going to take three days to type up the loss report but the Manos rep said she would collect the report and post it onto us, as we would have left the Island by the time it was ready. She didn't. Result 3 months and 20 + telephone calls later we still have not been able to submit a loss report to our insurers. The Duty Office in the UK were arrogant and useless.(Why after six weeks have you not heard from your Rep in Zante? - 'Well this is Greece we're talking about you know') 'Going Places' who we booked with are Very Good (Erdington - B'Ham) Regards Kevin Boyd

On the 17th July 2001 when we were walking back to Constantino Apartments, Laganas, as you could imagine it was our worst nightmare when a pick up truck swerved off the road outside Hot Lips and knocked over myself, my boyfriend and two other pedestrians. Our Manos rep Dave Goodwin was fantastic. We couldn't get a flight home until 6 days later so I was confined to the apartment whilst my boyfiend hobbled about Laganas making phone calls home and to the insurnace company etc. Dave was excellent, he brought us food, water, got us a flight home, arranged for me to get crutches as the hospital did not supply me with any even though I couldn't walk, gave my boyfriend advice as to how to deal with the insurance company as they were trying to mess us about, he even stole some of his girlfirends magazines for me to read!!! He was a star!! We are thinking of going back to Laganas next year when we are fit and well and will definately book with Manos again!!
Our rep (Alma) was very friendly but did try to scare people into buying the tours early by saying they were over subscribed. But their tours were twice the price of local agents, so book with them. She was a bit useless when we come to check out as she told us to meet her on Tues (we checked out on Thurs)but she was not there we had to phone Manos to get an explanation. Apparently she has swapped her days off that week and not bothered to post notices on the boards to inform anyone. We were not impressed.
Third time travelling with Manos. Stayed in Alikes which had 2 reps. Hazel was ok but was not our rep where as ANGELA who was knew NOTHING. Lost purse and asked Angela for report on 7 July(arrived on 5th) and had to finally get in filled in correctly at airport on departure(19th july). Had to phone Manos head office to find out what was going on as Angela did not even bother to turn up at her appointed times at accommodation. Would use Manos again but they need to sort their reps out and train them better. Good job we know the island having been there more then 10 times otherwise we would have still been sitting there not knowing what to do!!!!
poor standards of service - reps could not be bothered with getting a pre-booked cot for our feverish baby, refused to move the 3 of us from a 10'x10' room saying that all were the same size. we only managed to enjoy the holiday because we acted as our own reps, having to give our mobile and practically having to make the rep phone for a cot, and having to carry it back ourselves. we managed to arranged to be moved to opposite room, which was 3 times as big as the first one. i could actually go on forever about the lack of services we had on this holiday. we were luckily saved by the beautiful resort of tsilivi and the locals. would not reccomend manos to anyone.
We used manos to go to corfu last yr and the reps were absolute urd. They dropped us off at our apts and said we should go to a welcome meeting to meet our reps. We were given no info on where the meeting was and when we eventually found out and got there we were told that we didnt have a rep and we would just have to manage. Apparently messages would be posted on our board at the apts evry three days so we knew what was going on. However, the board never changed and the reps attitudes were stand offish. A couple in the apt below us (there was 4 in total) were dumped at the apts at 6 in the morning and told a rep was coming to meet them to let theminto there apt. % hrs later they were still sitting in our apt having a cup of tea!! Im sorry but we were not payed to do there repping for them. Sorry about that rant but it had to be said! I definately wouldnt go back on a holiday using Manos as our tour operator.
Second time we've been with Manos and everything was great. Apartment was just as in brochure. Rep was very knowledgable. We've booked to go away with them later in year and we would recommend them. Good value for money. They specialise in some of the smaller properties.
We got very decent appt in Tsilivi (Sofia), and cheap too. The rep was very attentive but not very well informed.
Help us......we bookin 4 summer 2002 4 Laganas (yeh well as they say the early birds catch the blokes :)) so we were wonderin what the hotel Oasis, Avra or Pink Panther r like??? Ta very much n well c ya all soon!!! Love Nats, Claireeee n Alex xxx
Not bad for a budget holiday, but the reps were a bit useless!
Manos certainly have some nice accomodation but that's probably because they were one of the first there - so they had the pick of the bunch. We like TOM & JOHNS but so does everyone else!
