Hi Tony and May missing the mushy peas already, made my own but not quite the same. Did not make it to Newzealand so keep your eyes open. If I get the urge for your gloriouse mince and onion pie, not forgetting mushy peas you will see me. ps hope the socks are still keeping Mays feet warm

Sarah C  (17 August 2003)

what can i say-a huge thank you to every1 at faultys! my morning cups of tea really kept me going and not forgetting the sunday roast how amazing are those sprouts n yorkies!! anybody reading this YOU HAVE TO GO TO FAULTY TOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is not a place on the island like it. friendly, fun, cosy just simply amazing everyday without fail.
keep up the hard work ;)

Mr T  (15 August 2003)

Oh dear....
We walked past this place loads of times. Every time we couldn't help but wonder why anyone who's travelled 3 hours across Europe would want to go to a crappy cafe that I wouldn't set foot inside if it was in the UK let alone smack bang in the middle of what probably was a lovely greek road !
Yet you'd still see them, eating frie up's, comparing the handouts they get from the government.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS, IF ONLY FOR YOUR CHOLESTRAL LEVELS !

Paul O  (14 August 2003)

Well Having read previous comments i must say I was surprised with this place, it was shut at lunch and i mean every lunch! 1 night my g/f Gemma and I went at 5.30 for a snack and was met by a quick and very sharp we're shut till 6. We attempted to go another 2 or 3 times but it appeared to be one of those places if you didn't go every night you wouldn't get the same service, Geordies Pride or Nemorosa is a much better bet!! Sorry for slating it, but we didn't have a good experience there ( or get the chance to! )

Oliver D  (12 August 2003)

HAVING JUST CAME BACK FROM TSILIVI WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE STAYING JUST UP THE ROAD FROM FAULTY TOWERS.BREAKFAST IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.THE ROAST DINNER IS FAB,BUT IF YOU INTEND TOO HAVE A GOOD DRINK AFTER YOUR MEAL DONT ATTEMPT THE APPLE CRUMBLE AFTERWARDS,IT IS WONDERFUL BUT I COULD ONLY DRINK THREE PINTS AFTER IT.ALSO TRY A SIRLOIN I EVEN HAD REAL MUSHY PEAS WITH MINE AND THEN THE APPLE PIE WHICH I COULD NOT RESIST HAVING TRIED THE CRUMBLE BEFORE AGAIN 10 OUT OF 10.I READ ON THIS PAGE SOMEBODY WANTED TO FIND THE PLACE,IF YOU TURN AT 'CAMELOT'GO UP THE ROAD YOU MAY THINK YOU ARE GOING OUT IN THE WILDS BUT WALK ON FAULTY TOWERS WILL BE ON YOUR RIGHT,WELL WORTH THE WALK.I WILL ALSO SAY THAT THEY KEEP THE CLEANEST TOILET I FOUND IN GREECE.I WILL DEFINETELY BE BACK,IT MADE MY HOLIDAY AND YES I DO LIKE GREEK FOOD I WENT TO A FEW NICE GREEK RESTURANTS BUT WAS ALWAYS TEMPTED BACK TO FAULTY TOWERS.GOOD LUCK TONI AND MAY,CHEERS OLLIE

Gill T  (23 July 2003)

This is a small, friendly place providing home-cooked, yummy food. The portions will satisfy even the biggest appetites and if they dont then there is always the apple pie or crumble to finish with.
The mince and onion pie was really tasty and as an extra treat it came with sprouts as it was a 'roast beef and all the trimmings' day (Sunday & Wednesday). REAL gravy is also a very welcome bonus! If you are looking for non-fancy English food with 60's music in the background then this is the place to go.

Arthur B  (12 June 2003)

TONY & MAY are great hosts supplying excellent food, and a great deal of fun and laughter. I recomend this restaurant
if you want a good feed.

Dale R  (02 June 2003)

It just had to be done, much as I love the greek tradition and the while in Greece type attitude but my wife and I just had to indulge in a good old bit of British. The full English breakfast was too die for and a cup of tea just like you get it from home, my wife will testify to the sausage and bacon buttie being out of this world. And while you feed your face general chit chat and putting the world to rights with Tony and May (your hosts). Thanks for everything and playing your part in a great holiday.
Dale & Gaynor Rowe. 17/05/03 - 01/06/03
PS. Hope you like the pictures! Cheers! YiaMas! Talema!

Victoria W  (25 July 2002)

Faulty Towers is the best snack bar in Tsilivi, with a lovely English couple, Tony and May, who own it. They make a fantastic full English Breakfast and their bacon baps are yummy!! And the prices make it an even more enjoyable place to eat!! If you are planning on staying in Tsilivi be sure to pop-in and try it out for yourself.

Craig K  (25 July 2002)

Visited Fawlty Towers three times. Very nice food. Tony and May are very friendly and helpful. The pie and chips they do are amazing and they have proper mushy peas too! The breakfasts!!! what can i say?? pure class!

Tracy B  (22 June 2002)

Excellant food, smashing prices. What a laugh we had here, with Tony and May who own the restaurant. Much bettar then some of the busier more commercialised places in the village. Whatever you do in Zante, you must go in there for a meal and some info on the surrounding areas.

Loopyloo   (01 October 2001)

Simply the best english brekkie in Tsilivi.Good home cooked grub in non-fancy place, friendly staff very clean with spotless toilets.

David C  (19 September 2001)

We only had a bacon roll and mugs of coffee, but it was excellent. Very popular for breakfasts(English of course, is there any other type?) Other people we spoke to recommended it to us.

For all you folks wanting to get in touch with Tony and May, they won`t have their own e-mail address up and running until the end of season. In the meantime you can contact them through us sophiarayne@hotmail.com

Jan W  (06 August 2001)

Visited Faulty Towers several times in July 2001. The food was excellent, hope you have a good appetite! The best English breakfast in Tsillivi, without a doubt(and we tried several restaurants.) The couple who run it May & hubby are very friendly and it is definitely worth the short walk down the lane.

Tony, Mary, You don`t know me , I have been looking for information re Tsilivi on the internet and found "Faulty Towers" I have liked what I have read about it so far. I am coming to visit on Sept 9 th ad would like to come with as much info as possible. If you have access to this E-Mail and reply with any tips etc I would be more than happy to pick up a few things on my way out for you. I am only twenty minutes away from Lymm. Rgds Dennis of Sale.

Steve F  (28 May 2001)

I only dropped in for a drink whilst on Grand-Dauther sleep walking duties, very friendly couple but as the other comments indicate the place if you are looking for Britain abroad.

Gazza   (13 May 2001)

Fawlty Towers offers great english dishes at reasonable prices, Tony and May are lovely people and great cooks, not tight with their portions at all. They originate from Lymm in Cheshire and apparently import their sausage from Stoke on Trent. If anyone does have a contact number please send it to me at gw67@currantbun.com

Sue A  (06 March 2001)

If you like good English cookin then this is the place for you. I have to say it was never short of punters having the home made cheese pie or roast beef dinner. It looked clean and homely. We did not eat there only passed it as we went on our way to the traditional tavernas and greek food that we had travelled all this way to enjoy. No accounting for taste.

Sue H (17 January 2001)

I would like to telephone the couple who run this bar but we haven't got their phone number.
