Paradise Apts

Thanks again to Dimitri, Marietta and Spiros, not forgetting Athena!  Had a great week and look forward to coming back in October.

Kristal and Steve - it was great to meet you, hope to see you there again some time!!

We just got back from a wonderful weeks holiday at Paradise, it was our first time to Zante and we loved every minute of it .

Dimitri, Mariatta, Spiros and Athena was so friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic! BBQ and Quiz night was great fun, with delicious food  The the pool was lovely, but a little chilly thanks to it being the very start of the season.

We have just booked to stay at these fabulous apartments in September so Marietta, Spiros baby Denis and Dimitri beware!  Sue and Annette are on their way, but I will see you before that in June.  Im so glad we managed to squeeze into the best apartments in Alykes. 

  We have just returned from our second holiday to the Paradise appartments.  It was just total fabness and we are about to book again for next year.  It was lovely to see some familiar faces again( especially Dimitri ! ) Every thing was as perfect as last time but we noticed some work had been done such as tarmacking and paving the old dusty track, and the public toilets had had a major overhall with a shower added.  Service was brill and cleaners came in daily ( or was it fairies because I never saw them ! )  Having spoken to others, it appears that it is the norm to return year after year!  Roll on July 2008!!

just came back from alykes and spent nearly every day round the paradise pool,great for the kids and that means great for memusic could have been slightly better though,good luck to marietta with the baby.from wendy,steve,samantha,lily,lucy

Just returned from 2 fabulous weeks at Paradise, it was great to see people that I met last year.  Can't fault this place, in fact I've recommended it to so many people that I should be on commission!  Hoping to go back again next year with family.

How busy will the camp site attatched to the paradise apartments be on september 13- week be?Thanks for your help.

Hi Lyndsay, you have made a great choice of apartments, the best along with the Beach House in Alykes and a nice friendly place to stay, with great friendly people, Marietta, Spyros, Spyros and Vicky and Dimitri to look after you. I am going to the Beach House in May but always spend the days lazing around the pool. If you want to email me you can do its suelumsden@aol.com if you want any more info, tips or advice. We booked 2 weeks at paradise this July/August, partly based on the great reviews on this site.  However, we had to move apartments half way through our holiday, due to a group of 300 greek students who were staying at the campsite on site.  This group over-ran the pool and bar area between 10am and 4am every single day, preventing us from using the facilities and keeping us awake by drinking and creating an unbelievable amount of noise.  The bar area is situated right next to the apartments, and therefore there was no escape.  The campers were also seen drinking and smoking in the children's pool, taking drugs on site, and acted in a threatening manner towards other Paradise guests.  The owners were not at all sympathetic or apologetic to the paradise guests, and were obviously out to get a quick buck by allowing such a large group to stay on the campsite.  So, please bear this in mind before booking a holiday in Paradise apartments - judging by the reviews on this site, this has not happened before, but who knows whether this will happen again in the future if the owners have made a big profit from this group.

Hi Once agin we spent most of July lying in the sun by the paradise pool. As always the accommodation was great no problems what so ever. Marietta and Spiros are very friendly as was the cleaner who doesnt speak a word of english but managed to remember us from last year. This is a great place to stay..... Cant wait to get back.

It certainly lives up to its name. Unfortunately I am referring to its location. Although the apartments offer exactly what you need for a holiday in paradise the beds are SOOOO uncomfortable. We are going for 3 weeks this year and the paradise was the only accomodation available. Having stayed there before the thought of spending 3 weeks on those mattresses fills us with horror.
We have decided to take a blow up mattress this year so would advise everyone else to do the same. Apart from that it is the most peaceful relaxing place on earth, and we would not go anywere else. Can't wait...

It was the first time we stayed at the Paradise although we had spent time there last year in the bar and on the beach The apartment was basic but very clean and the maid, Maria was very thorough and cleaned a few times a week. The room was a few steps from the beach and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our hob on the cooker broke and it was fixed straight away. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday really enjoyable and we hope to be back soon.

We returned from spending two weeks at the Paradise apartments on 16th October. Had a fantastic time and cannot fault the accomodation, clean and basic but enough equipment to make some meals if desired. I just hope they invest in some new matresses soon as they can be a bit uncomfortable to say the least! Superb location right on the beach (although pebbles, once in the water it is sand all the way!) with a first class swimming pool and snack bar. The staff are friendly and helpful (thanks to Panos our dodgy door lock was sorted first thing in the morning), and make a good English breakfast as well!
The fact that it is located on the edge of the resort meant it had a very quiet and picturesque surrounding, which was the iceing on the cake. Would recommend it to those seeking a relaxing break.

We went to Alykes on the 4/09/03 for a two week break. I would recommend the resort to anyone who wants to go somewhere beautiful, where the emphasis is on relaxation and the people are among the friendliest I have ever met! We stayed in the Paradise apartments – part of Alykes camping. They were basic but clean, and had all the essentials you require for a two week stay (although I’d recommend you take your own bath towels.)

The apartments are in an ideal location, just away from the town center, so they’re quiet, and the shallow, turquoise sea laps the terrace where the new pool is located. You don’t need to get up at the crack of dawn if you want a poolside sunbed and the staff will go out of their way to help you.

If you’re looking for nightlife, this might not be the place for you – most bars and taverna’s shut at about 12.30am. However, make sure you visit the Jungle bar in the town center – Marko and his team will go out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic night out (and they stay open until the early hours!)

My Partner and I will definitely go there again.

p.s. if your looking for their web site type Alykes Camping into a search engine (I looked for info for months before we went, I didn't realise Paradise was owned by the same family as the camp site! - don't let that put you off, the campsite is disguised and you won't see any tents)

We stayed in Paradise in July this year, we found the apartments very basicbut ok as long as you don't want to cook.The location was perfect. The pool was just a couple of footsteps from the sea. We had to check out of our room 15 hours before transfer pick up time but they rented us another room for the day for just 20 euros.

We liked the resort and the local people are very friendly and helpful. The bar staff were very friendly and the food was good. The only disappointment was that our apt was just a little too basic. We had no table to eat on. We were lucky we had a balcony table to take in to the apt. to eat on. We had nothing to boil water in for coffee or tea. We had a small pot but if we had to cook anything in it we had nothing to boil water in. They certainly cannot class the apts as 3 star. We have stayed in 2 star that were much better. We hated the fact that we had to leave the apts at 12 noon and our flight wasn't until 9 am the next day. There is nowhere to leave your suitcases and no facilities to get changed or shower before you leave for the airport. 17 1/2 hrs is a long time to be out of your apt.

Help! We have stayed at the Paradise twice before and we have just tried to book again online with manos but the Paradise is not listed with them anymore, can anyone tell me who their with now?

My husband and I are going to the paradise apts in Alykes on 13 July for two weeks. Hope to meet some people around our own age (50).Never been to Greece before. Looking forward to it. Anyone going at the same time?

My wife and I stayed last September (2002). We enjoyed our stay so much we are booking again for this year. If you want a quiet away from the town center type of holiday this is the place for you. The pool and bar are great and only a few steps to the sea. We can't wait

Spent two weeks at the Paradise Apartments which has an excellent new pool. Just walk down the steps and you are on the beach. Great pool bar serving very good quality snacks. Friendly owners and staff. In easy reach of all the local amenities of Alykes which has plenty of bars and tavernas. However, if you are looking for something more traditional - take a trip to Agia Marina where you will find Dennis'Place from where the views over Zakynthos are stunning. Trip around the island with Mamfredas Tours is excellent value. If you hire a vehicle from Peppas, don't get him started on international politics.

Can anyone tell me what the pool is like at the paradise apartments? I am going there for 2 wks from 10th july anyone else there at this time?

Any closer to the sea - you'd be in it! Very nice owners. Small bar/eatery opened in 2001.There may be a pool too this year. Located at the northern end of the small string of beach appts an easy 10 min walk to village. Walk north along the almost empty beach for 15/20 mins and you'll arrive at the small taverna at Potomaki - real Shirley Valentine stuff! Walk back along the road, past the well where you can top up with water and where you'll find Johnnie selling wine- don't let the fanta/coke bottles put you off, olive oil and honey very cheap and all deliciously tasty and fragrant. ( I'm starting to salivate at the thought!)Four weeks to go and we'll be back.

i need to know what the paradise apartments in alykes are like please ? Are they quiet ? are they close to the beach? any info would be great. Thanks !!!

Stayed for 3 week in July 2000. Nice quiet location just beyond the Montreal hotel. We enjoyed our stay.Very nice owners and a stones throw from the sea.
