Good luck to Becky, Nikos and staff for the new season, we'll see you at the end of June for our first visit of the year. Best wishes from Anne & Steve
Congratulations Nikos and Becky on your second year of excellent food and service, long may it continue.
This establishment goes from strength to strength... In two weeks we ate here six or seven times and have nothing but praise for the staff, the food and the service. Interesting to note that even on the quiet evenings in Tsilivi when many restaurants were empty, Becky and Nikos seemed to have 20 or more tables occupied... Many of the occupants we had seen there before too which in a village with 70 odd places to eat MUST speak for itself.
This has to be the best restaurant in Tsilivi. Unfortunately only found it in our last week. We ate there a few nights n a row... Nikos and Becky and all the others were fantastic and always made you feel welcome. We have a little girl and they made such a fuss over her..
WE ATE HERE MANY TIMES, UNABLE TO FAULT THE FOOD WHICH WAS FRESH AND WELL COOKED, SERVICE ABOVE AND BEYOND, A MUST VISIT RESTAURANT WHEN IN TSILIVI.
MANY THANKS TO BECKY AND NIKOShi nikos, becky & theo of course!!! i hope your all well, im missing you!
this restaurant is only in the 2nd season & its the best food by far, i would recommend anyone to eat there, nikos looks after you and your family very well and ansures a good evening out.
11 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!
il see you all next year , love you all lots!xxxxxx
Nikos Becky and their staff are Simply the Best. We ate at Benikos every night of our holiday, and would have done so even if the complimentary carafe of wine had not appeared on the table. The portions are huge and the menu is extensive. I defy anyone to go through this menu and not find something that they would like to eat. Keep up the good work guys - look forward to eating there in 2006. Nikos & Bex - Love you loads. xx
cant go wrong here, free carafe of wine always goes down well. the menu extensive and the food spot on, not the best location, but you could count the empty seats in the chineese opposite watching the staff playing cards waiting for custom..
fantastic food.fantastic service and fantastic value for money. enough said.
We tried Benikos because of their slogan on the Tsilivi map -"we don't do fast food just good food as fast as we can" and it sums the place up perfectly. Excellent food and real old fashioned service. It can be a little slow when they are very busy but it is worth the wait and they really make you feel welcome
nicos and beckey , are very good friends """"""""""""""" please our friends are doing well come on ex pats live it up a bit
Benikos was the first restaurant we ate at this holidy (just arrived back) and we enjoyed the food so much we ate there nearly every night after that! In fact we only ate elsewhere 3 times! The food is excellent, the staff are all very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. We all enjoyed eating there and we were never disappointed.
What can I say the food is ABFAB . take time to look at thier menu it is true greek food the way the greeks like it,
We ended up going in to benikos because the girl handing out cards used to chat to us quite abit on the way past. We ended up becoming good mates. Her name is Beth/Betty. Such a sweet girl and we got along great with her. The meal itself was nice. I had Beef youvetsi which was nice but i felt there was just way too much. My boyfriend had a mixed grill which was lovely but again just too much.I would go back and get a smaller meal.
We stayed in Tsilivi for 2 weeks and visited Benikos several times. All the staff were amazing, just so friendly. They gave us free wine and shots. Fantastic food and very reasonably priced. They even took off our 3 year olds meal from the bill just because he didn't eat much of it !! This restaurant must be visited.
What can I Say? Its by far the best restraunt in Tsilivi! Nikos a great guy
we went to benikos a couple of times while in tsilivi (26thjune-10july2005) and found the food of excellent Quality the staff were very polite and very helpfull i had lamb chops and there were amazing we had two children in our party and there meals were free you can also get a free bottle of wine for the ladies if you ask nicely the pr staff were great to especially ouzi(uzi) he always wore a smile and give you a firm handshake your time at benikos will be thouroughly enjoyable just one more thing if you do see ouzi tell him glasgow and family said hello
Me and my sister have just got back from Tsilivi.
I have just come back from 2 weeks in Tsilivi and I can definitely say this was the best place to eat. I found the restaurant last year and the food is excellent. You get a free jug of wine which is gorgeous and even slammers at the end of the meal.
Hello to Nikos, Becky and everyone at Benikos,
Benikos is a great taverna. The food is wonderfull, and if you have
kids its a must, as the waiters make them feel at home. Also both times
we went, our little girls meal was free.
To get to Benikos, just head for the main street, and (in the evenings)
look for the row of horse drawn carriages. Theres a supermarket with a
gift shop over it accessed by an outdoor esculator (a bit unusual for
Greece!) Go down the side road, about 30 meters, and its on the left,
opposite a Chinese / Indian restaurant. In the evenings theirs a guy
who stands at the corner of the main road, handing out cards to get you
in.
We intend to go back to Tsilivi very soon, and will definantely be back there.
we have been to tsilivi before can anyone please give directions to this restaurent?
Just back from Zakynthos 28/5/05 after one week holiday, we try to eat at different restaurants whenever we are away on holiday in order to get a good cross section of the quality and value. Only found Benikos on our last night due to it being located off the main street. Shame as it was probably our best eating out experience of the holiday. Becky and Nikos and the staff were very attentive even to the extent of modifying the main course to suit us. Free half carafe of wine and complimentary drink to round off the evening and good value for money. We would certainly go back again.
nicos &becky simply the best in town
Add your comment here..
what can i say.i knew becky and nikos before and when they met then they had the jewelers and now have their own restaurant and its brilliant.great food great selection of drinks and lovely people.had my wedding reception there and couldn,t have wished for better.
Couldn't wait to get back to Tsilivi and see our old friends Nikos & Becky this year. Have known them both from their time in Savvas jewellers and have had many happy times with them.
It's great to see so many good comments on their new venture - they both work very hard and it shows in the quality of the food here, they have acheived a great deal in a short time!
I can only echo some of the previous comments in that the food is excellent and the portions are very generous. I particularly recommend the chicken fillet with sweet chilli sauce starter, and Karen is nuts about the steak with a cream and walnut sauce! Nikos is, and always will be, a perfectionist and wants each and every customer to be 100% satisfied.
Thanks to them both for making our stay this year as enjoyable as ever!
Jon, Karen, Georgia, & Lauren
This place is fantastic and I recommend it to anyone. I've known Becky and Nikos for a few years and Theo since he was a bump! This new venture of theirs deserves all the praise possible. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the food is of exceptional quality as well as generous in portion etc. Nikos' attention to detail is microscopic as he strives for perfection. If you don't see what you want on the menu, ask... You will not be dasappointed.
went here on our last night after walking past it everyday. the only place the good lady could get yiouvetsi without ordering a day in advance(possibly because it was that days special). she enjoyed her's and I enjoyed my chicken pepper thing. nice potatoes.
also seemed to get lots of free booze. free jug of wine and our last 2 shorts. absolute bargain and well tasty.
We just got back from Tsilivi and Benikos is our fav restaurant. The food were fantastic and great atmosphere too. The owner is a Greek Version of Gordon Ramsey in the sense that he wants everything to be perfect so is on top of his staff 24/7, they made us feel so welcome. I had the Beef Youvetsi and it was absolutely amazing.
You did have to wait a while but they do say that on their menue as they prepare meals when they are ordered and none beforehand.
Tried most of the meals and have no complaints at all. Nicos and staff were superb even though we had to wait for a while before we got our meal.
Would recommend this resturant to anybody.
we hav'nt been to benikos yet but know nicos and becky very well. we are going home to zante next year and can't keep our selfs down as we love the place so mutch
lovely dinner very friendly service everything we expected
This was probably the best restuarant we visited in Tsillivi this year, we had a lovely welcome by Becky. The food was excellent and reasonable too and the service as second to none.
This is a typical greek taverna opened this year by Niko & his wife Becky the food is excellent & the service to match & to everyone who uses the restuarant there is always a smile & a little chat,The food is well cooked & presented well I tried most of the menu but the steak in plum sauce is something special they deserve 10 out of ten for everything we look forward to seeing them next year
This is a family run restaurant and Nikos, the owner, and his wife Becky made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived.
Food is Traditional Greek and it is cooked fresh each day.
Meat balls were my favorite, but the mixed Greek Meze came a close second.
Becky bakes English desserts. The Lemon Meringue was excellent.
My wife enjoyed the Moussaka, and all of the Chicken style meals presented. There is a very large choice on the menu prepared by Greg the Greek chef. You are spoilt for choice
