Benikos is the best restaraunt on Tsillivi. The food is beautiful, the roast potatoes to die for, the menu is large and varied from English to Greek food Pasta to Pizza.
Will be in zakynthos tommorow looking forward to seeing Becky and Nikos its been 2 years had our wedding meal here in 2007. See you very soon will eat here often one of our favourite places. Carol, Michael and Heather!!!

Only managed to go twice to Benikos last week but both visits were superb, food is marvelous and the service is great, the roast lamb just melts in your mouth ! Great to you again Becky and lovely to meet your gorgeous daughter too!! see you next June, Deb & Barrie Smallwood
Would definitely recommend benikos went on 2 occassions both times the food was excellent and staff were too, very good.
We visited Zante First week in June 2009, We stayed in Tsivli, We ate at Benikos 3 times, the menu was huge, you could have something different every night of the week. The food was great, the wine even better and Becky and Nikos were brilliant....a must if you visit Tsivili.
Thanks

Hi Becky and Nico
Hi to all the the staff, we visited your restaurant last tuesday there were 13 of us we all had a very enjoyable time great food and atmosphere My son darren and his now wife claire visited you the previous week and when the rest of family came out to Tsilivi for his wedding he said we must go and eat at yours it must have been a shock when i walked in and said could i have table for 13 please which you did so straight away i would also like to thank you Nikos for kindly taking 4 of us back to our hotels as some us oldies couldnt face the walk back once again thank you for a great evening.
Hi Nikos, Becky and everyone,
Hi Nico and Becky, we are looking forward to seeing you both again. We had such a good time and your food and service was first class. We used to sit at table 30. All the meals we had was well cooked and well presented. You may remember us my wife used to have the semi-sweet wine and I used to have a carafe of red. Is Katy still with you? We will be arriving on 29th September for 2 weeks.
Hello Everyone,
We visited Benikos last week and found our experiece to be fairly enjoyable. The menu is etensive although you can say this for all restaurants in Tsilivi, there was nothing out of the ordinary that you could not get elsewhere. Service was good and very friendly, decor nice and location ideal. Food quality was ever so slightly above average, our main gripe was the quality of the house wine. Being wine drinkers we should have listened to the warning our rep gave us on the hugely varying quality of house wine in the resort, unfortunatly we thought that given the reviews we read on Benikos we thought there would be less of a risk ordering the house red. Sadly when it came out we found it to be nothing more than fruit cordial with a dash of brandy flung in. Fresh drinks were ordered and it didn't detratc from the experience too much, just avoid the house red!!!
Been to Tsilivi 3 times and this is the 1st time we had visited this restaurant. We had 3 beautiful meals in there and would definately recommend it to anyone. Nikos and Becky are brilliant hosts, can't wait to go back.
Fantastic! Well done Becky and of course Nikos . We can't wait to see you all again and are counting down the days to sample 'possibly the best food and hospitality in Zante' if Carlsberg did Zante they'd probably do Benikos. Love you all.
We ate here once.
Yassou Becky,Nikos and all friends at Benikos. You may remember us sitting at table 22 in M ay and October we love it in Tsilivi but particularly returned for more of the fantastic food and service at Benikos we enjoyed every minute Becky and Nikos made us very welcome and we couldnt resist going back there every night thanks Nikos and Yanni for helping me with my attempt at speaking the language i am having more lessons this winter so you may be able to understand me a little more Thank you for making our holiday special when we stayed at Manousis Apts love and best wishes Audrey and Ken Williams .
what can i say it was really good to be back in tsilivi and back in benikos yet again for some fab nosh. you exceeded yourself again nikos and becky the staff here are fabulous ,service great this was our fifth time back at tsilivi and will be returning again next year. so nikos becky and all the staff have a well earned rest for christmas, and a good start to the 2008 season.
We have to add a comment on here for this restaurant as this was one of the few that we chose to visit on several occasions-actually 3 times-over the 2 weeks holiday this year. (-We came back the same day as you Steve-09th Oct). The food was excellent-good portions, good quality, cooked to perfection. Prices were extremely reasonable-each time averaging around 20Euros/about £28 for 2 people-for bread,a starter,2 mains,a couple of mythos and 1 litre of very good quality house wine(-though,must note here that the house wine was free). Staff were extremely friendly, professional and always smiling. Highly recommended. Benikos is located across the road from the supermarket with the escalator, near `That Bar` and next door to `Sweet Revenge` Restaurant. We will definitely return here when go back to Tsilivi.
What can I say, just back from another great two week break in Tsilivi and spent many nights in Beniko's always in the calm relaxed atmosphere of a well run establishment. Breakfast here is great too and if you ask for it you can have a full English but with a village sausage! The meals as ever were fantastic and I hear the chocolate surprise dessert is true culinary delight. Also heard that there'll be a revised dessert menu for next year, I'm sure that'll be great too. My best regards go to all the staff and regular customers that probably know me now... Especially my old mate Ringo!
Like the previous comment we have been going to Tsilivi now for 5 years and this was our first visit. We always avoided it before because of the girls on the corner handing out leaflets asking you to go to Benikos. I always try to avoid restaurants that advertise like this!!!
We are English residents on Zakynthos, having retired here 3 years ago, and have tried many restaurants in Tsilivi, and know there are still many others we have not yet visited.
Yesterday (24/9) it was my birthday, and we went to Benikos for the first time, for my birthday celebration meal. I now wonder why we ever went anywhere else! Fabulous food, served with a kiss from Nikos for my birthday. The tables were large enough to be comfortable, there were linen tablecloths and linen napkins. What a treat - civilised eating at last. They offered us some excellent wines, and we a chose a chardonnay, which was really good. We will be back. Top recomendation to a top team.Just returned from 2 weeks of fantastic cuisine supplied by the now famous 'Benikos' team. Yet again we were entertained, extremely well fed and above all, at prices you would not believe! Mmm! that Benikos chicken hotpot We saw many faces from our previous visit and people patiently waiting for a free table - an indication in itself of the popularity of Benikos. The only down side is, we have to wait till next May till we can go back.
Have known Becky & Nicos for many a year and always ate at Benikos since they opened up that have proved to be really good hosts their aim is to please and they go out of their way to do it,so all i can say is try the rest and then go and try the best good luck to all at Benikos looking forward to seeing all again soon
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!! If you're veggie, try the vegetable casserole!!!!! Delicious.
I can only agree with Maria's comments below... Reckon I might have seen her in Benikos several nights running in June. In fact, thinking about it, there were several familiar faces each night! Proof it it were needed that once you've been to Benikos, you always return.
This really is the best restaurant in Tsilivi. Becky, Nikos and Theo make you feel one of the familly. We have tried many restaurants in Tsilivi but always go back to Benikos. Now we always go there every night. The chefs meatballs are one of our favourites and the Benikos chicken is out of this world. Beckys homemade desserts finish the meal off nicely if you have room for one. Cant wait to go back in october. Love to them all til then and to Kate, Manos, Yanni and Claddie.
So good the last time, be warned we're coming back see you all 9th September with love Neil & Susan
Well forget the rest and go to the best we've just spent two weeks with the Benikos Team Nikos and Becky and all the staff are first class, the only bad thing to say is having to come home and cook for yourself again. We cant wait till next year keep up the great work guy's.
Benikos website is now up and running.
Just back from a fantastic two week break at Benikos (Sorry I mean Zakynthos)! Ate here most nights, several lunchtimes and a couple of breakfast as well. As ever we found the service, food and staff of the highest standard, As well as unbeatable value for money.
Free wine, Food is good, frozen veg.
I took my wife and two friend to Benikos on the recomendation of all the reviews on this site.We were met on the corner by a girl handing out cardsfor Benikos and were told we would recieve a free caraf of wine with our meal because there were four of us.Benikos was quit busy wich we thought was a good sign so we were shown to a table.we all had a starter and then the main course i chose lamb kleftiko and was realy looking forward to it but We were all very dissapointed with the food.Benikos boasts good home cooked food not seved in a rush. Our starers were there before the drinks we had ordered and the main course came directly aftrwards,we had to ask for the free wine and the staff were not very pleased we had done so.as for the kleftico it was more lke lamb stew served in alittle dish with two potatoes on a side plate.I can only say to anyone who goe's to Benikos do youselvs a favour stake a taxi to Ambula beach Bar in Tragaki sit looking out on to the beach have some fabulouse food great servise and dont be stung with the cost.
Hello to everyone at Benikos.
Fantastic food at great prices, excellent menu, friendly helpful staff, my boyfriend recommends the greek mixed platter, i'd recommend any pasta on the menu
I will definatly go back if i return to zakynthos
To all at the 'Benikos' and all the lucky present & future customers,
We (Susan & myself) have just returned from a very short week in Tsilivi. First night out we were met by 'Benikos' PR girl Jade who's charm won us over. We were then met at the door by the 'Boss' Nikos who made our stay throughout the week (yes every night!) very welcoming and valued us as a friend as well as customers. The other half of the partnership, Becky, was in every sense the perfect host and along with the rest of the staff ensured our time at 'Benikos' was of the utmost importance.
In answer to John's question (December 14)... Turn down towards "Bowl em Over" at the supermarket with the escelator. You'll see Benikos on your left, a little ahead... Most evenings you'll be met near the supermarket by someone representing them handing out cards. Always worth a visit and very few people only go the once. Best wishes to all who work(ed) there, we'll be back in June.
To Nickos, Becky & all at benikos
Hi there you lot
like everyone else we love it here thank you becky nikos for the wonderful food, we will be back next year now for our forth time in two years and can't wait we will have an exta one to our party. kimberley's sister then some more family member later in the week we r coming for two weeks. see youall next year. ps hope you got my postcard love kim and gang
As a regular to both this board and Beniko's, I can only ever give praise. I know things have been a little difficult with staff sickness towards the end of the season but you'd never guess from the welcome and service offered here. It was (as ever) an absolute joy to visit and I fully recommend Beniko's to anyone. I was also very impressed the way the staff dealt with Phil Collins when he visited again last week. Not once was he hassled for autographs and I'm sure from the conversation I had with him, he'll be back again... Apologies for calling you "Ringo" Phil, but after a litre of house red, it was quite funny!
Hi Becky, Nikos and Theo!
We have just come back from two weeks in Tsilivi and during that time we ate at Benikos 3 times. When we arrived we were greeted by Becky who is wonderful, and showed us to our table. As this was our first visit we had free wine. The food we ordered was fantastic, portions were huge and we thought very good value for money.
ive now been back from zante for over a month and still missing it like mad. we had an amazing two weeks, and ate at benikos for most of nights we were there.
hello nickos, becky and everyone else at benikos.
We went here on recommendation from this web site and how true all the
reviews were. This is an excellent restaurant, great for all ages
incl kids, very welcoming and superb food at very good prices. We
normally venture round as many as have been recommended but we ended up
coming back here a few times, especially for the Yuvetsi Lamb Clay Pot
in the oven, delicious. A lot of other people we saw on holiday
also thought this was by far the best value and food.
Returned home yesterday and have to say that this restaurant has to be the best ever. You were so friendly and made us all so welcome every time we ate here with our two young daughters. Free drinks and ice creams.
Nikos greeted us both times like an old friend we had free wine 1st visit and our daughter a free icecream. Very pleased with the service and chat while waiting for our food! The food is excellent main courses we had I had steak well done with onions and gravy and potatoes and fresh veg it was lovely and you get a huge oval plate. Michael had a mixed grill which he said was lovely and Heather had meatballs all lovely.Price of food very good. Nikos you are so funny miss you til we see you next year. We are getting married in Zante and want our meal at Benikos there will be about 10- 12 of us. Carolina, Michael & Heather.
What can I say!! A fantastic restaurant with an extensive menu (try the fish.....) We ate here 6 or 7 evenings (not like us at all as we usually like to try lots of eating places) and even lunch on our last day! Nikos, Becky and staff are so friendly, they make everyone feel so welcome. I guess it helps if you have a rather cute blonde 9 year old daughter that Nikos and Yiannis fought over!! Hopefully we'll return to Tsilivi and I don't think we'll eat anywhere else, they spoil you for other places.
becky and nikos are great friends off mine, they work so hard and have done so well.had my wedding reception there in 2004 and they made it a fantastic time for us all.food is great and so is the sevice, even tought there was a party of 21 off us service was still perfect.can,t wait to see ya all soon love hayley, tony.ryan, sharna and lolly and all the family.
it is next to the olive garden and opposite to the back of passage to Asia!?
Sorry did not spot the ratings further down!!!!
You have Popeye's on the corner, you want to the follow the road down where Ariadane's is, past the kebab place and past the big escalator leading to the upstairs shop, take the first right, Benikos is your left just before you get to the big hotel complex, food at good prices and huge helpings and excellent service.
Can anyone describe where this place is, i do have a good idea of the lay out of tsilivi.
hi everyone loved the comments will certainly give them a try in sept
hello everyone,
went to thios restaurant first time we went to tsilivi 3 years ago ,
sorry for the delay ,
food was nice . thought the staff were a bit overdressed ,
but the food was lovely ,
decent priced as well
cheers
Nothing but praise as ever for Becky, Nikos and all the staff. Ate here 6 or 7 times in 2 weeks and had a great time every time. If you've never been here before, try it you will not be disappointed. You're greeted at the entrance, served with courtesy and politely revisited occaisionally to ensure all is well, by the hardest working staff I've ever seen. Steaks always cooked as requested and they're always happy to alter a dish to suit your requirements. Wine is free and if that wasn't enough, you'll find your place setting graced with a "proper" fabric napkin! Never seen anyone leave without being thanked for their custom and during the recent thunderstorm, customers were even being offered a lift back to their apartments... Always a pleasure to eat here and a must for anyone new to Tsilivi.
I have been to this place a few times: a couple of times last year in Aug (2005) and twice last week (June 1 – June 7, 2006) and found it comparatively better than other standard food outlets.
Staff is quite friendly. Food quality and rates are acceptable.
Sure, it deserves a try.
We are a family of 6 (aged 9 to 41!) and we first ate at Becky and Nikos restaurant in July 2004 on our first night in Tsilivi and returned several times over the fortnight. We did try various other places as we do not like to eat in the same place everynight of our holiday. Benikos does set the standard and was way ahead of the others in service, quality and value for money.
We would like to thank everyone for all of their great comments, we hope to see you all again very soon.
Hubby and I decided to give this restaurant a go during the last couple of nights of our holiday and we were not disappointed, well the only sadness was we wished we had gone in earlier as we would of been in a few times!
