i dont know what the other people are talking about when i stayed there i enjoyed it and so did everyone else we spoke to at the time i recomend you go we went with a company called Manos and it was brillant i recomend you go if you havent been already

Bobyouruncle or whatever you call yourself, do you not have a proper name?  Were you born the complete @rse you are, or did you have training at the school for @rseholes? There is no way you have stayed at Pothos with those comments. Maybe you stayed at a hotel of the same name in a different country?  Get a life, or crawl back under the stone you emerged from.

Hello to everyone At the Pothos Appartments

  1 change  of  towels  and  sheets  in  2  weeks.Less  than  basic  utensils.Next to  a farm  yard. Dodgy  car  rental.Race  track  by  Pothos  used  by  idiots  who  dont  care  for  anyones  safety. Smelly, unclean  but  spacious!. Resort  basic!.

  had a great holiday at the pothos met some fantastic people matthew, lee and denise to name a few not forgetting skinny dipping john, all the pothos family were great and nothing was too much trouble for them, had a brilliant barbeque on our last day would really like to go back next year.   yammas.   

My wife and our son Thomas were at the Pothos first couple of weeks in July. Treated as a family member, no wonder they get so many repeat guests. Thanks to Helen, Dimitri, Anna, Roula and not least Dennis, Thomas's friend for life.  Best wishes to all and thanks again.  If you get a car, try Aghios Nikolaos

With regard to mosquitos,everywhere has that problem...we have fitted all rooms with special mosquito doors but if you can get a mosquito plug in that should solve any problems.

7 of us are going to the pothos in late july, what do we do without air conditioning, are there fans available? is there a mosquito problem at night? really looking forward to the holiday, these are my only worries.please let me know    

Where exactly in Alikes are the Pothos Apts. Would really like a quick answer as we would like to book now for Aug 2005.

Spent 3 weeks at the pothos september 2004. Superb holiday. Many thanks to dimitris, helen, Denis, Vola and Dimitris mum and dad for all their care. Rooms good size with kettle and safety box, lovely clean pool and good food at good prices. If you get a chance do go on the little train, it's a lovely trip, and the greek night is a good laugh. Helen, been trying to e-mail you, but can't get the address to go through. Hope little Denis os ok.

Stayed at Pothos for a week in May for the 2nd time & was as fantastic as ever! Great apartments, pool, food & drink & the family are fantastic! Dimitris Helen Sakis & Dennis make sure your stay is a good 1.......& you have to try a Tuna Mayo sandwich which Dimitris mom makes...they are the best!!!!!! Will definitley be staying here next year....

Just got back yesterday..spent 1 week at the Pothos...there are kettles and saftey deposit boxes in the room..enjoyed our stay..Dennis was very helpful..we had a lovely room..lovely views of the surrounding countryside and mountains..would definetly go back again

Excellent place to stay very clean the pool was checked everynight and cleaned on a regular basis . would like to thank dennis,demitri,helen and vowler for there welcomeing hospitality.

Superb lazy (very hot) holiday for 2 weeks. As mentioned earlier the hospitality from stepping off the coach to getting back on was 2nd to none. Most people we met had been there previous years and were already booking next year. Many thanx to the Pothos family Dimitris, Helen, Vola, & Denis.
P.s. Denis you can finish the mint dairy milk i left in the fridge.

Janice thanks for letting me know the Pothos is in the 2nd edition of the Manos brochure. I was at the Pothos four years ago, had a great holiday was very pleased with the accommodation - couldn't fault it. At the time there were no safety deposit boxes but there were kettles in all studios.

Angela just picked up a 2nd edition of Manos Greece and Cyprus 2005 and Pothos is in this edition..I take it you have been to Pothos before can you help me with my queries?

Can anyone please tell me which brochure I can find the Pothos Apartments in. I booked with Manos last time but they don't seem to be in the 2005 brochure.

Just returned from a great 2 weeks ataying at Pothos. These are lovely people and quite simply can not do enough to make you happy. We spent many a drunken evening chatting with Dimitris and Helen.
Everything about this place is what you could want from a holiday. Rooms, food, drinks, pool, everything.

Every time a coach pulled up to take people home, all the family at the Pothos came out to wave everyone off, after much shaking hands and hugging. Never in my life have i seen so much commitment to customers. you were made to feel like you werepart of their family.

For that I can not thank you all enough.

we'll be there again next year.

We (Sam, Pauline & Tom) had a great time at the Pothos. Fun around the Pool & Bar was excellent. Vicky & George, Dennis & Dimitris were really friendly & helpful. They made our stay really enjoyable. Try to view the sunset from the other side of the island, Kampi is best & there are 4 or 5 resturants to choose from. Watch out for the roads, potholes are everywhere!

We have just stayed in Pothos for 2 weeks, the apartment was clean and spacious. The down side was it was an apartment for three but only had 2 of everything, cups/chairs/plates/bowls/glasses etc. We hadn't booked to stay here as we wanted to be on the beach but Manos changed our accommodation and although it is a bit of a walk into the main part of Alykes, especially with a 5 year old, we were happy. The pool is great and the bar serves good food and drink at very reasonable prices. Dennis and Dimitris will do anything they can to make your stay a good one.

We have just returned to England after spending 2 weeks at the Pothos Studios in Alykes.

The rooms were nice and clean and quite large for a studio. The Pothos apartments in general were very clean and the Pothos family are really nice family and we thank them for their hospitality. The pool bar is nice and quite cheap, the food is lovely. Thank you Dimitris for our late night chats and drinks!!!

Pothos is well situated in Alykes, only a 5-10 min walk to the centre and about 5-10 ish mins to the beach, which is lovely with plenty to do. However if you are wanting a "banging" nightlife Alykes is not the resort for you. It is peaceful, but lively and very relaxing. However there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars to choose from.

The airport is basic, but Zante is only a small island. We found it okay.

Dont book tours through the reps. The english owned tour companies in Alykes are much cheaper and better ran. The trips to the blue caves and the shipwreck are a must.

Would defintely go back, excellent holiday, excellent apartments, lovely people and a beautiful island for a holiday.

We arrived during the first week in May which was really the first week of the 2003 season. Fortunately this coincided with the start of a heatwave! The family who run Pothos like to help and will do what they can if you need something. The pool and surrounding area was kept clean and our studio, though small, was sufficient for our needs. However, I think they need to invest in some new towels- ours were grey, small and in need of replacing.They will also let you keep your room if you have a later flight- at a cost of 30 euros.

It was 10 minutes stroll to the main Alikes drag and the strool back is a pleasant one when you've over-indulged! However- if you take the road across the salt flats take a torch.

If you have a ground floor studio make sure you feed the brown and black cat who will pay you a visit at least twice a day- she's just had kittens!

I would definitely go back to Pothos. However, the transfers to and from this resort are a nightmare. Arriving at 7.50pm at the aiprort along with 3 other flights, we eventually made it to our room at 11. One luggage carousel for all those bags isn't enough. An hour and a half to travel 16 Kms isn'y on either!

I'm afraid the tour companies treat you like cattle. For this reason we won't be returning to Zante or using Manos as our holiday company again.

I can not thank the Pothos family enough for there hospitality and help given over the two week stay, nothing was a problem. The new bar area and Pool we're a god send as this is not advertised, accomodation was spot on, big rooms, kettle, clean sheets etc. Really good family to stay with. 21 rooms(3 floors) balcany's are safe for the kids, little pool for the kids as well as the big one, quite location within half a mile walk of the beach and bar's etc. Try the food there, basic menu for around the pool but well cooked etc. lovely clean place. I will be there next year again, if your happy with it try it again I say, Brilliant.(just got back 12.07.02)

Pothos Apartments were very good, clean & totally quiet every night. Athens Restaurant in the main street in Alykes is also worth a visit.

We are staying at the Pothos Apartments in August. Does Anybody Have Any Information On This???
