These are lovely apartments, Anna and Nicos are friendly, helpful and will go out of their way to make your holiday a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. The view from your apartment is wonderful, the sea just a stones throw away and you are surrounded by beautiful gardens with an abundance of colourful flowers everywhere you look. Air-conditioning is available in all the rooms, if it is required, and Anna keeps everything in great order. The family all love animals, especially their charming son, Antonis, who seems to adopt all the strays on Zakynthos and has food and water in his car; which is available to them at all times. They have a very spoilt cat called Linda who can often be seen lazily sleeping her days away. I really cannot praise them enough. If you want an apartment with a warm, family atmosphere, this is the place for you. I will be returning very soon I hope.
Are there any safe boxes at Spiros apartments for money, passports etc?
I've worked out on Zakynthos in previous years and have become a close friend of the family. I can safely say that Spiros studios are some of the best on the island.
My husband and I have been on holiday to Tsilivi many times and have stayed in a number of different studios and apartments but I can honestly say that Spiros are our favourite.
They are perfectly located just 1 minutes walk from the beach and a few minutes from all the central bars and restaurants. As for the studios, they're surrounded by beautifully kept gerdens, are cleaned daily and are never less than immaculate. With air conditioning for a small fee and the simple layout of the room they're even perfect in the mid summer heat.
Anna and her husband Nick worked their socks off to make sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible and made us feel more than welcome.
We will most definitly be making a return visit!!!!!
I was the MyTravel Rep for the Spiros Apartments until the beginning of June. In response to your comments I can say that Anna and her husband are a lovely couple and very welcoming they took great care of me all the time I was in Greece. To back this up I can tell you that 80% of customers who stay at the Spiros are repeat guests who have been staying with Anna for many many years. I can honestly say that I had no complaints about the property whatsoever, it is a basic package deal you pay for and that is exactly what you get. Anna cleans all the rooms by herself and does not employ anyone else as she likes to know they are cleaned to her standard at all times.
The Spiros has a private path giving direct access to the only Blue Flag beach on the island, and is run by a very PLEASANT and WELCOMING couple, so anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday on a budget DO visit the Spiros.HI
Stayed here Sept/October 2005, the apartments are basic but very clean. Anna and her husband are always around and nothing was too much trouble. Good position for beach and restaurants. My only criticism was that the towels were only changed once each week. If we went back to Zante we would go back to Spiros apartments but the 1st floor apartments are definitely the best, we were in Apartment 9 which had a good sea view and was at the end of the block.
I have already stayed at Spiros and can reccomend them. The upper floor (reached by one flight of steps)gives the best sea view and gets a nice cool sea breeze in the afternoon.Just a query?Has anyone got a contact telephone number for the apartments?I have just booked for next year and I want to contact Anna to make sure I get an upstairs room for the reasons mentioned above. Thanks and regards, Keith.
We are going to these studios for 3 weeks Sept/October 2005 has anyone been recently and any advice we need to know? Thanks
has anyone stayed at the mounisos apartments as id like to know where they are in tsilivi are they near planet?
Have just returned from the Spiros Apt, was a little taken aback on arrival but after the first night got use to the basic set up of a greek self catering apt.
Very short walk to the beach through the gardens. Rooms all face the sun which is very nice first thing in the morning. Stuck on the doors of the rooms is a little sticker saying fans for rent, well Anna only charges 2 euros a night which after the first night with out one we thought it money well spent.
Cooking facilities are very basic but then we never used them, except the kettle and fridge. Anna is very helpfull and always pleasent.
The only thing we thought that was not very good, was the bin in the toilet only gets changed when the room is cleaned which is every other day, but there is a metal dustbin in the road, just outside the Apt, so just save a carrier bag and you will be ok.
This is a follow up to the message below. Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Spiros Studios in September 2003. These stuidos were in a perfect setting, two minutes walk to to the beautiful beach. About 10 minute walk to the centre of the resort. It was so peaceful, yet you were not too far from the hustle and bustle if you wanted.
There is no pool at the studios but you can use the pool at the Alamis Studios which is about two minute walk. Our studio had a wonderful sea view. A point to mention is that the sea view may not be as clear in the future as there were some buildings being built near the beach that may hide the view.
There are plenty of shops and restuarants to choose from. A worthy trip is to go into Zante town. Please note that the shops do close in the afternoon, approximately around 2pm, but re open later. We will be going back to Zante, especially Tsilivi in the near future.
Hi, can someone tell me what the Spiros Studios are like, (Manos), where the brochure only says a few lines. I am going there in mid September with my boyfriend. I think there are two Spiros, one being apartments and the other stuidios. I wasn't sure if they were the same and in the same place. This is the first time to Zante, and really looking forward to it.
Just got back from 2 weeks in Heaven! Our room had a marvelous sea view and the 2 minute walk to the beach was a God send. Weather was in the 40's which for the last 2 weeks of June, was unusual. Only had a couple of overcast days, mainly due to a magnificent thunder storm one evening. The kitties at the apartments were real cute and never really bothered us at all. One even sneaked into the room when we left the door open and was sunning itself on the balcony all day! Don't really have a bad word to say. A really lovely, relaxing holiday all round.
Having spent my last three Holidays at these Studio's, all I can say, is that you could not ask for anything nicer. They are only self catering, you have a basic kitchen, bathroom with shower, somewhere to sleep, and a lovely view from the balcony every morning to watch when you are eating your breakfast. The lady who owns them is very pleasant, she is always near by. You are not very far from shops and it is only a short walk to the main area, or you can have a nice midnight walk along the beach. If anyone has any questions feel free to e-mail me, Prryhln@aol.com. Enjoy your holiday!! I am going back again in three weeks. Yes back to these studios aswell.
please read my comments on the spyros (canditas) page about the comments made by stephen wintle
me and my boyfriend are stopping at the spiros apts in june could anyone give us any more info please
I have just spent two weeks with my partner at the Spiros apartments at the North end of the village. They were not clean at all, the bedding was changed only once during the fortnight, after the first three days and then not again. The loo bins emptied every three or four days. The owner Anna was fairly hostile to any complaints. As far as the loo paper is concerned - we prefer to buy our own anyway, so it wasn't an issue for us. We didn't like it at all, apart from the location which was very nice. Everything in the shop below was at least 100 Drx more than any other supermarket and the choice extremely limited. It could be said that this is the end of the season and things start to fall off a bit, but there's never any reason for lack of cleanlisness in the rooms. I don't want to go on holiday and find that I have to clean my own room before it's inhabitable. I do expect to be responsible for helping to keep it clean to some extent during my stay. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone one. I'm not too impressed by Manos either.
Had it not been for the dirty rooms and the elusive holiday rep (the first we saw of her was on the pick up for departure), we would have enjoyed the holiday considerably. I think you need to develop a kind of tunnel vision to enjoy holidaying in Greece, to block out the bits that aren't so nice. However I can't extend that to dirty roooms.
We didn't intentionally stay at these apartments this Autumn. It was a mistake made by our booking company Holiday Hypermarket. When Spiros(Candita's - other end of village) came through on their computer as fully booked, the sales assistant found 'Spiros' through another channel operated by Manos and insisted that it must be the same place. It wasn't, and they're going to get a rather nasty letter from me.
I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 weeks and loved it ! The location was great, right next to the beach with a shop on your doorstep, what more can you want. We enjoyed our midnight strolls home along the beach. Ideal for couples, but a bit of a walk into the town for families maybe. We will be back !!!
Stephen are you sure we've stayed at the same place...no!!. The only animal on sie apart from my man.. was the canary.. which did tend to sing a bit too early in the mornings sometimes but definately NO CATS URINATING anywear I'll tell you what i'm going to add a photo just to prove you wrong as my taste is definately not BAD!!!!!!!.
