10/10just come back from two wonderful weeks at Ariadne Hotel. We had a ground floor studio and it was comfortable. Pamela,Yanis, helena and costa were wonderful hosts,made you feel as if you were part of family.BBQ night was fantastic very easy to make friends. Nothing was to much.Would defiantly go back. And if your looking for somewhere to eat in evening, Giogios is a nice friendly restataunt.

In response to Laura, I'm fairly sure Shortie will be playing this summer but not sure of days. I am a member of their Facebook group and some of the comments on there referred to them practicing for the summer and also inviting suggestions for new songs to learn. The season is just starting now so more info should be available soon. If you're on Facebook yourself you can add Ariadne hotel as a friend and also join 2Short's group to see updates for yourself.

6/10We found these apartments generally to be fairly basic and not as good as some of the reviews make out. Yes the views are lovely and the pool area is immaculate with plenty of sunbeds all day. The higher floor rooms do of course have nice views but if you have a basement room facing the bar then things are not so good. If we had known the type of room we would be given we would have preferred to stay in one of the many nice apartment blocks somewhere in the town without the hill climb. The hill is quite steep but did not cause us any problems although it could be a challenge for anyone with health or walking difficulties. The rooms were cleaned each day and towels/linen changed every 4th day. There was only the basic cutlery (3 knives/forks/spoons), no bread knife or cooking utensils so don't buy uncut bread or plan to cook a snack! Air con and safe hire expensive. The bar served snacks and breakfasts but these were a bit on the pricey side. As the nearest supermarket was at the bottom of the hill it was a bit of a drag carrying water, although we just split the pack to walk back. Water for a pack of 6 in the supermarket was 1.30 euros, however if you bought it at the apartments it was 2.50 so a bit of a profit maker there. We loved Tsilivi and will definitely go back but just not to the Ariadne.
- GB 10/10Stayed for two weeks last month as a family with toddler. We all had an excellant time, the Ariadne is a warm, welcoming and friendly eviroment with great veiws. During our stay it felt like we became a part of the family, Pamela, Yannis, Helena and Costa couldn't have done more to make our stay any better, whether it was chill time for mummy and daddy or getting clean cot sheets late at night, everyone was always more than helpful.
- -- 10/10 Hi just returned this evening from ariadne apartments and i must say that myself and my partner had an amazing time. The place was spotless and i mean spotless. The bar area was beautiful and offered amazing views out onto spectacular views of tsilivi beach but also kefalonia and mainliand greece. As mentioned in earlier reviews the hill was steep but as myself being 28 and my partner 25 it wasnt a problem at all. If there was to be a downside to the holiday it would have to be the wedding party that were stopping at the hotel who seemed to make needless noise throughout the day but pamela dealt tremendous with the situation pointing out there were other people there apart from them 
and the hotel wasnt just theirs. A situation arose one evening but it was dealt with straight away. The hotel is ideal for families and couples who simply wanna chill out in the relaxed atmosphere. The ariadne is an amazing place and i would recommend it to anyone.

Studios are well equipped for self catering, 2 ring hot plate, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge.
always clean, daily maid service even on the busy arrival/departure days, towels/bedding changed every 3 days.
always able to get a sunbed around the beautifully landscaped pool & garden.
fantastic location up the hill means you can sleep at night without the noise from bars/clubs but still only 300m frrom the main drag with all the restaurants and bars.
Friday night entertainment by 2Short is fantastic, Yianni is a fantastic guitarist, after about 20 minutes, Helen will come round with hats & wigs to get everyone into a party mood.
Costas, Helen, Yianni & Pamela are always happy to help with whatever problem/query you have, only 6yrs ago, Pamela was the tourist so she knows what we are going through on our holiday.
A fantastic, friendly place, we were sorry to leave, will definitely be back though
A word of warning though, Yianni has a tendency for "Hard" shots (Johnnie Walker Red Label topped with Grand Marnier), they are so smooth you lose count of how many you have!!!!
- GB Just returned from two weeks at Ariadne Apartments ,stayed there in 2008 ,though the apartment was the same one we stayed in 207 ,have to say the bathroom really needs a re vamp the toilet seat was dirty and discoloured ,the sink plug didnt keep the water in and generally needs a up grade,had to complain as maids were not doing the beds everyday and cleaning bathroom,though must admit the bins where emptied which of course is important ,the pool and bar area still lovely though and the friday night entertainment Shortie ,blues and rock music was very enjoyable . The Hill hasnt got any easier haha, be nice to have a small mini market selling a few essentials so you dont have to keep going down to supermarket ,Things like Suncream,etc,Tea bags Milk ,coffee ,and a few other things.

- GB 10/10We have just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at the Ariadne. Our room was fabulous, so spacious and always clean. The staff were all so friendly, including the maids. Although they didn't speak much English they always said hello and had a smile. The views were beautiful, I'm sure there is nothing better than waking up to see the sunrise over all of Tsilivi with olive trees and the crystal clear blue sea. The pool area was lovely, my children spent all day in the water and only came out to eat!! The walk up the hill was well worth the effort, we all look forward to coming back soon and meeting Pamela and Yannis new arrival.
- GBWe have just had the best holiday ever staying at the Ariadne Apartments. Fourteen of us were over for my daughters wedding and the staff at the Ariadne could not have been more helpful and friendly. Pamela was great keeping us informed of the best places to shop etc. I can't unserstand why people comment on the cleaners attitude, yes they appeared unfriendly however they obviously don't speak english and find it hard communicating. We had five appartments and all were cleaned and towels and sheets changed every second day. The pool was quiet and spotless as was the bar area. I would not hesitate in booking again for next year and look forward to seeing Pamela's new baby!
- GB 10/10Visited Ariadne end of june for a weeks holiday, could not have wished for a better place to stay. This is my 5th time in Tsilivi and by far the best place Ive stayed. The views from our balcony were unbelievable,the pool area was great(plenty of sunbeds), the rooms were very clean and the owners were very friendly. Im off back to Tsilivi in a few weeks for another weeks holiday and wish I was staying here. WE have already decided to book up for 2wks next year cant wait x

1/10These apartments are really not what they seem!!
All the cleaners seemed to do was wash down the floors. We had to clean the bath ourself and the mirror in the bathroom was in a filthy state during the whole 2 weeks, In 2 weeks our towels were only changed 3 times!!!!!!! Despite putting the soaking wet towels on the floor by the door so they knew they needed changing they would just fold them up and put them on the beds. Sheets were changed twice.. and sheets were grubby with fag holes in and stained. The drains in the bathroom would give out an unpleasant sewage smell also!!

We have just returned from a fabulous two weeks at Ariadne. The walk up the hill can be a bit daunting at first but it is soooo worth it when you arrive. Helen, Costas, Giannis and Pamela made our holiday even better. Thank you.

Read all the reviews beforehand and was a bit concerned about the steep hill. Yeah it was steep and in the heat of the day a bit daunting. Having said that, the view was well worth it. Apartments were excellent, sea views fantastic (from every apartment), nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Apartments cleaned every day, clean linen most days. Food at the bar was great and not too expensive. - GB 10/10
Lovely hotel ,views are stunning ,rooms large and spacious ,pool lovely,the only pain is the hill you have to walk up to get to hotel ,its murder in the heat of the day ,but easier at night ,or slightly depending how much you have had to drink haha
- GB 10/10Hi just arrived home last week from the Ariadne great great holiday. Best holiday & apartment yet had the best room in hotel can't tell you which one everyone will want it.The weather was fantasticso was the restuarants, you get used to the hill after a few day's .I will be going back looking forward to seeing Helen,Costa,Yannis & Pamela again.The rooms were spotless well done to the maids

- GB 10/10Returned yesterday from Tsilivi. We were fortunate enough to stay at the Ariadne - which is brilliant! The apartment was cleaned daily and linen was changed every other day, the view from all of the apartments were brilliant, the staff were all very welcoming. The pool area was always clean and the pool was great!
- -- 10/10Stayed at the Ariadne in June, very good accommadation, very clean and comftable. You do get use to the hill. Location is ideal closer enough to the town yet far enough away to be very quite and the views are stunning. Have been to Tsilivi five times now and this is the first time i would go back to the same accommadation.
- GBHi. Been to Tsilivi 3 times now but never stayed in the Ariadne apartments. Booked in to stay there for 2 weeks in September this year. They do sound very nice-going off comments posted on here about them. Could anyone tell me exactly whereabouts they are?....Also,do they all still have sea views(ie no further developements been made)?.......Do they have safety deposit boxes in rooms and fans to hire?....and at what price?................CHEERS!!

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 week stay at the Ariadne. This was our second visit to the apartments and as last year everything was perfect.
- GB 10/10 We stayed here for two weeks in August 2006. When we checked in we asked if we could have a room with a sea view and were told that all the rooms have a sea view. How true was that, PERFECT. What a Hotel with a fab views. STUNNING. The hill leading up the Hotel was a little off putting at first but you soon came used to it and it was well worth it. The rooms were excellent aswell. Could not have wished for more. Would certainly recommend it to all. - GB Spent a week here from the 8th to the 15th Sept and I can't wait to go back. The hotel is fantastic- we had amazing views from our balcony and all the food was excellent in the pool bar- we loved their pizzas!!. It is kept extremely clean and is so peaceful. the hill is a bit harsh at night but definately worth the walk!!
