These are excellent apartments. There are18 in a single block all of which overlook the pool and snack bar. The owners are really helpful and keep the place spottless. Most of the rooms in this block are twin rooms. Ther is a new small block of 4 family rooms which offer prvacy from/for children. We seldom go to the same place twice but made an exception last year. It is about a 5 to 10 minute stroll into town which has some wonderful eateries. There is a weekly quiz and barbecue night. The prize for the winners is a free day's car hire....not bad for a free quiz. The beach is a similar walkig distance as the town. You will find it hard to beat this place. However IT IS NOT A PLACE FOR 18-30 STYLE HOLIDAYS. The only word of warning is don't use the cash machine next to the supermarket with the escallator. We used it and it took the money from our bank but didn't pay it out. It took 2 weeks to get it back by which time we were back home. Give my regards to Yannis. Last time he had me doing the quiz questions for him.
Hi There,
Pretty sure that all of the rooms have balconies from what I can remember. Also pretty sure that all of the apartments do have a seprate area (this was the case in the apartment that I stayed). It was like a living area with a couple of single beds and then a separate bedroom (with a door which can be closed). Really nice little complex and not too far from the resort. Hope this helps
CAN YOU HELP?
We have recently just returned from 2 weeks staying at the Manousis
Apartments. Before we went we could only find small bits of
information on these apartments including even where they were.
We arrived at 7 in the morning feeling very tired and apprehensive but
we had absolutely nothing to be worried about. Before we went I
stumbled upon the website for the apartments, www.manousis.gr, and I
can report that the pictures on the website are extremely accurate.
There are two types of rooms in the apartments and, due to paying for
an extra night due to the time of our return flight, we experienced
them both. With the exception of one night, we stayed in one of
the rooms next to the pool. This was a twin room with wardrobes,
dressing table, side tables, kitchen and shower. It was perfect
for what we wanted. The room we had for the final night, which
cost us 25 euros, was in the new block and had a double and 2 singles
and it looked like we were the first people in it as all the cutlery
still had labels!
The pool was normally very cold, but was
perfect for cooling down from the heat, with enough sunbeds around it
for everyone that wanted one. The bar was a nice size and
normally manned by either Yianni or Sakis and came to life during the
BBQ night. For 8.5 euros, Yianni and Sakis provided a meze meal,
with greek salad, and wine and followed this up with a music quiz,
where the winners received a hire car for a day, and then some greek
dancing from what I believe were members of Sakis family. This
included the drunken greek dancing in a ring of fire, with the floor of
the bar being set alight!
For info, safety boxes are
available for 7 euros and 13 euros for 1 and 2 weeks
respectively. You can also hire a kettle or a fan, note that the
rooms by the pool are not air conditioned, although the rooms remained
cool (during the first 2 weeks of June) without it, but the rooms in
the 2 storey block do have air conditioning.
As already
stated, the apartments were less than 10 minutes from the beach and the
main high street. If you are interested as to where they are take
a look at http://www.levelbar.com/tsilivi-map.html. The Manausis
is near the Daisy and Angelika stuido's marked on the map, kind of
opposite the road that goes to the beach (This is the road you will use
to get to the beach).
We personally believe that Tsilivi is
the best resort on Zakynthos. There are plenty of restaurants,
bars to try and we ate out at different places pretty much every
night. Our favourites included the Olive Garden, the Family
Restaurant and Calypso (the only places we went to twice).
We had a fantastic holiday in Tsilivi at these apartments. The guys are great and the food is good.... We have stayed in Argassi and Kalamaki, and I must say Manousis in Tsilivi was by far the best... The pools (adult and toddlers) are clean and the area and apartments are spotless......
Does anyone have the fax details or an e-mail address for the Manousis Appartments? We stayed there last year and it was great, and we wanted to e-mail the owners to say we were coming back! Many thanks.
We got back from Tsilivi on 30th June after spending 2 weeks there. We haven't been to Greece before but we are now planning our next trip ! When me and my partner booked this holiday we couldn't find any info on them either, but we were very pleasantly surprised. This accommodation only opened in May 2004 and wasn't even put in the brochure till the back end of the year. Sakis and Yianis are great and always make you feel welcome. The pool and snack bar area is spotless, the rooms very spacious and the location couldn't have been better for me and my partner. They are about 5 mins from the beach and 5 mins from the main nightlife via a shortcut down a dirt track. I have got to recommend Magdalenas Bar, the breakfasts here are the best we had only about 5 Euros each with orange juice and tea or coffee. Sakis who works here does the best cocktails ever !!! If anybody needs any more info, i would be happy to try and help. See you next year guys, Yammas !!!!
we just arrived back from the manousis apts and had a great time the two blokes who run the place are great (sakis and yianis)the bbq night is a must for the food and entertainment quiz is a great laugh the people here just cant do enough for you if i had been anymore laid back i would have been horizontal. The beach is only a 5 min walk away and the village is only 10min stroll going to go back for 2 weeeks next time as 1 week was not enough to take in this lovelly place I have taken a few pics of the manousis apts and when i get them printed will put them on line for people to look at .
sorry pu the wrong amrks on the last one we thought it was fab.
hi just got back from a week in the glorius Tsilivi and have decided that we are greece converts!!
when we booked our apartments none seemed to have heard of them so i thought id write a review.
to saythe apartments were only a 2 or 3 * they were very nice. spotlessly clean with a great atmosphere. location wise they weerre ok with just a 10 min walk to the main area, although there is a shortcut that halves the journey. the pool area and bar are fab and i really recommend the themed nights that they put on, they are great!! romms are spacious and clean with the only down side being a small bathroom, but you can live with it. the surroundings are lovely and the two guys that run the place Sakis and Yianni are fab, really friendly and very funny! whatever you do make sure yoiu start off your evening with a cocktail from th bar - they are good. oh one last thing the brochure and the olympic people (tour operators) told us there wasnt a safe - there is 7.5 Euros a week. hope this has been a help to somebody.
could anyone tell me were about these apartmaents are. i know tsilivi well but i have never heard if these, so any other names of hotels or bars it is near. thanks.
I am going to Tsilivi for the first time in June, this will also be my first time in Greece. I would like to know about the resort as I have had quite a mixed response (bit worried really!). What are the best bars and restaurants to go to ? What will the weather belike in June ? What are the local prices like for food and drink etc ? Help Please !!!!!!!!!! Thanks Donna.
Hi Hannah,
