Hello to all at the family. This is the best retaurant in Tsilivi. The food is lovely and the service is excellent. Special hello to Peter. If you go to Tsilivi you must try the food at the Family. Lovely Greek music and beautiful potted plants add to this special place. All the staff make you feel special. They also do a takeaway Greek kabab with chips and Giros sauce. Thank you. me and my family went to the family nearly every night while we were there in 2003. goin back there in sept 2004, just me and my boyfriend this time. i recommened the family restaurent to any one and everyone we enjoyed our stay very much cant wait to go bac there. and say hi to veryone at the family restauren like tas john peter etc....... from paula peter lita and gavin

we eat here loads of times. we tried other places but always came back. food excellent service excellent we tried different foods but the favourite was the sirloin steak diana- beautiful.
the sfaff were so friendly and coureous.
would heartily recommen it.

Best food i had all week!! the price was good 6.9 Euro's for a mixed grill and it comes with big portions. Any lad's reading this will like Martha i bet you!

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant. Service was friendly, atmosphere welcoming. The swallows in the roof were an added attraction. We thought they were clockwork but infact they were real, do not worry the nearest table is situated far enough away to not be bothered by the birds and they were a source of amusement for the children. Overall a pleasant evening.

If you are reading this Maggie, the food at the Family is varied enough to suit all tastes.I have been going to Tsilivi for the last 3 years, my son was 13 last year and he was quite happy to tuck in to their pizzas each time we went.The Majestic is a nice place to eat too and, as youv'e probably seen on the website, Popeyes is a popular place to eat too. Never been myself tho' as I cant bear to queue! We're back there at the end of July for 5 weeks again this year so, have a good holiday and happy eating!!!

As a family of 4, s adults and 2 children, we are coming to Zante in Aug. Our problem is my hubby and I will eat anything, love trying new foods, our 15yr old isn't too bad, but our 13yr old is a nightmare. Last year in Spain all she ate was chicken and chips. Can anyone reccommend a good resturant that will suit all our needs and is quite cheap.

Yes Tas will be doing his National Service next year. He will be going to Athens in February for a year. Tsilivi will not be the same without him when i go back next year, as i have been back twice to keep in touch with him. Just want to say hello to everyone at the Family Restaurant!!!

I have been going to Tsilivi for the past 16years and have tried most of the Restaurant's. I now only eat in the Family, as I can be sure that the food is well cooked and served by friendly staff. If anyone has a query about the bill, they only have to ask, as mistakes can be made by anyone.
As for eating at Popeye's, I have witnessed first hand, things that would not be allowed in the UK.
I intend to be back next year and will be eating at the Family once again.

I haven't been for a year but my parents have just returned and told me that yet again it was great. I can't wait to go next year!

we ate only twice in this place and would not go back again they keep bumping the prices up on the 2 nights we ate there and the waiters tend to get over friendly.
we ate the rest of the time in popeyes and denos and they were brilliant to say the liest

im now stuck in school doing gcse coursework and id do anything to be in greece with the happy waiters what make your stay in the resturant very pleasing. the food was nice but the waiters were proper fit as fcuk! i cant wait till next year because im coming back to greece, tsilvi but the sad news is only for a week not 2 weeks. well cant wait to be back in the resturant were the company is great i love it!!! lots of love from a very pleased customer x x x laura x x x

The food was very nice, but we were dissapointed when receiving the bill: it was twice more expensive as in the other restaurants, for the same food!

We've been to Tsilivi 4 times and the Family restaurant is ALWAYS one of the first places we come to eat. The food is lovely and the waiters are top notch.They are especially great with the kids which always makes eating out easier when the kids are happy.
Peter, I understand from the previous entry, that you look at this website so there are a couple of things we'd like to say.
1)Isn't it about time you got yourself a new car?? Traded the banger in for something a little less,umm,dented perhaps? and
2)Jordan wondered when you were going to fix him up?

We visited this restaurant after reading this sight, the food was ok. The staff were very friendly to the children, but when the bill came we were shocked at how expensive it was. We were also told by someone who worked there before that after all the hardwork the waiters put in they dont get the tips.
You want good looking waiters visit the Calypso across the road.

Nice place and the staff are very friendly and make a big fuss of the kids. Food was excellent only minus was the fact they tried to overcharge us by 10 Euros and its difficult to argur the toss when the bill is written in Greek. Could have been a genuine mistake though!!!

the food was excellent but that was not the only thing bringing me and my friend charlotte hatfield to the resterant, it was the sexy waiters. they were funny, fit and totally gorgeoes. i advise any girls seeking men to try this place! ignore any nasty comments about this place because its all bull s**t!!! this place was great and the food was top quality! the waiters get our vote they beat brad pitt any day! lots and lots of love charlotte and laura

THis place was fantastic the waiters were so fit espeacially taz, pete and nick, jon was very entertaing! the food was very nice but the waiters were even nicer in every way possible. top marks for all them scrummy, fit, sexy, waiters! I never went in this place, mainly for the fact it looks like a roadside greasy (excuse the pun !) spoon !

Why anyone would want to eat in here I don't know, it was mainly for families with too many kids and not enough sense.

Right across the road is the Akropolis, about 10 times better food and just a little classier !

We ate here 2. the staff are extremely friendly and make a fuss of children, which is great. The meals are excellent, partcularly the pizzas, any of the beef dishes and the prawns were heavenly. Although not the cheapest of places well worth the money. The only downside, being on the main road meant that there was much traffic noise.

Varied choice from the menu, good food at a reasonable price. Reckon for a family of four on 75-90 Euros with drinks for 3 courses.

Can someone advise the average cost of a 3 course meal in the Family.

we stayed in tsilivi from july 8th to 22nd and must have eaten here about 6 times. the lamb in oven was heaven, all the food good and all the waiters will make you most welcome

We have been visiting Tsilivi for five years now and have never had a meal at Family that was less than excellent. Our son LOVES Peter and Taz and always ends up with a freebie of some sort. All staff are extremely friendly and you'll never walk by and not get a cheery wave and 'honk'!!

An absolutly wonderful resturant. all the waiters were really great, friendly, professional with a wicked sense of humour. the food was excellent. the best i tasted in greece.freshly cooked whthout a long wait. be careful when ordering a pizza though because they are huge but absolutly georgoeus. i would highly recommend you go there. once i found it i didn't go anywhere else....

This Restaurant has to be the 'Best in Tsivili' - Yiannis, Peter and Taz are fabulous and the food and service is outstanding. Best we had there was the mixed grill, pizza and spaghetti bol! We worth a visit.

i can recommend this place, friendly staff, good food. i dare you to try the mixed grill and eat it all!

Brilliant restaurant, food excellent waiters, John (Greek Spiderman/Ronaldo), Taz and others are very good with kids. We all tried Greek food (British food is also available)and didn't have a bad meal - they will also do smaller portions for the kids

My family and I lived on Zante for over 5 years and we spent a lot of our time in Tsilivi. One of our favourite eating places in the whole of the Island was The Family restaurant. The staff became close friends and we took all our family there when they visited. We never had a bad meal.

i came back from Tsilivi nearly a month ago and i miss it so much. I definetly recommend the family restaurant to anyone it is great especially the service, thanks for a great holiday Tas and Peter. I am not coming next year but i am the year after so i will see you both then. Love Rebecca

When we were in Tsilivi we ate in the family restaurant nearly every night. The food was lovely and Peter and Tas were great! We will be back next May and August, and we will defintly be eating in there again! Peter and Tas if you read this, we all send our love and we hope you liked the photos!

Despite its reputation, I found that better food and service were to be found elsewhere. Food lacked the overall quality of other establishments, and service was relatively slow. Did not choose to eat here on any further occasions!

Good food; Good Service; Children made to feel welcome.

This was our first nights meal which was then followed by a few more!!! The food is delicious. Varied menu and good prices. The waiters were very friendly and good with our 2 daughters. The meal to try is the House Special Baked Spaghetti. It is to die for!!!!

Nothing exceptional compared to the other restaurants we visited - try Zeus Taverna, Manos Grill or La Fioro!

FOOD AND SERVICE 11/10

Having viewed the site before going away decided to try this place and thank god we did. The staff were excellent, the food was always fantastic. I think we ended up eating here 11 nights out of the 14 we were in Tsilivi. Peter, the head waiter, and indeed all the staff excellent with the kids, good kids menu. Peter, if you ever read these Amber sends her love.

Excellent service everyone is so friendly and helpful especially the three Peter's. Great food and great prices. Can't wait until 19/9!!!

We noted a 10/10 rating prior to our holiday and found it was very accurate. Now you are rating this wonderful restaurant as 8/10. Cannot understand why - it certainly deserved the first one. And never mind 10/10, Tass deserves a rating way off the scale - lovely guy - hope he finishes his army stint in time to be back next year!

Returned here one year on and was surprised by the price increases.

we visited the family many times during our stay in tsilivi. first of all a big big big thanks to peter for the two trips mainly the boat trip and the visit too his village beach. and also thassos the second peter and yanni who made our stay better than ever .food was excellent service better thanever hope to see you all next september or maybe in may thanks again ste carol geoff and clare

lovely food all freshly prepared. Peter is adorable and treats you like an old friend.

this has to be voted one of the best ,we went twice ,second time to make sure the first time was not a one off , same result ,yes it did take time to get your meal ,where are you going to rush off to?,it is slow because as you could see it was freshly prepared , it gave us time to enjoy our evening at a leasurely pace in nice surroundings served by nice people , next time I go I will visit again and hpefully enjoy the delights of this taverna.

Food OK, I had Kleftiko which was nice but unfortunately they forgot about us for a while after ordering but did give us drinks on the house for the inconvenience.

Never had a bad meal here during our stay. Yannis, Peter, Peter and Sasha (looks like Sasha Distelle honestly) were very hospitable. Try the speciality Kontosouvli (on the spit) - delicious.

Yummy Cannaloni.. spelt wrong I know but it was absolutely scrummy food each time we went, and the staff were friendly.

Big restaurant catering for English.

It was one of the best restaurant i ever being with my family its the place to visit all you dads and moms.

Great for kids. They do traditional Greek and international dishes, and offer a kiddy sized (and priced) portion of all dishes. The ice creams come with sparklers which my daughters loved.

Ate here four times during my stay. The staff are brilliant, and the food superb-especially lamb in the oven.

Food was good and the waiters looked after children very well & without bribes. Definitely a family restaurant. There is also a take-away which was very good and inexpensive for Souvlaki / Gyros.

you can eat here everyday of your fortnight holiday and be pleased you did every time. very friendly staff,the waitress ,whose name escapes me at the moment, wrote out my wish you were here postcard for work for me in Greek, that really had them all going .will be going back again ,wonderful place wonderful people.
