St Denis Apartments

Just returned from hols at St Denis - one word - FANTASTIC!

Two bed apartment was spacious, well stocked with all you need, very clean, etc.  Pool, snack bar and gardens were the same.  Would recommend, my two young children (3 & 6) loved it and can't wait to go back next year!!

just want to say a big thanks to giannes and all the staff in the st dennis the apartment are lovely, the best vodka and diet coke in town. even to the gardener who gave us wake up calls. thanks again look foward to seeing you soon. x.

well hopefully fingers crossed dad stays stable and we may be able to come, i know i could definately do with the break, so could the kids they have been angels through all of this, i know julian & ciara go next weekend and think debs n family u go a few days after them, so have a fantastic 1st week and hope to see you on ur 2nd week... kev paula & girls hope to see u all on the 25th..

  Just came back from St. Denis App. may 20th 3rd June 2008 It is a fantastic place was there last year in September. You cannot fault the place. The owners have worked hard to improve the rooms with T V and the gardens are looking superb. Cannot wait till next year to practise getting on the lilo Had loads of fun around the pool, day and night. Giannes, what a star you are

me and my family stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment this year and are going back again next year. our apartment was spot on,it consisted of a kitchen /diner, bathroom and 2 double bedrooms, one of the bedrooms had access to the balcony/terrace(we were on the ground floor as my 2 children were 7 and 3 years). there were doors for all the rooms, i would totally recommend st denis to you, especially with children, it is a fantastic complex and ideally situated for the beach and the tavernas/restuarants, whatever you fancy really. the complex is really child friendly and all the staff there make you feel so welcome, especially gianni and fotis but also the owners and the maids.

Hi, I am thinking of booking to stay at the St Denis Apartments next year.  Can anyone tell me what the layout of the one & two bedroom apartments are like?  Do the bedrooms have doors? (I have a child that is a very light sleeper).  The idea is that my daughter will sleep in a separate bedroom.  Last year we stayed in a one bedroom apartment in Zakynthos where you had to go through the bedroom to get to the balcony.  I like to put my daughter to bed & crack open a nice bottle of wine on the balcony,  iykwim.  Hope you can helpxxxx

I wonder if anybody out there can help me, just got back from staying at the st denis, well on the 16th october 2007 and had a brilliant holiday and i really want to go back again next summer my problem is i dont really want to book with first choice again and i wondered if anybody knows of another tour operator that i can book these apartments with.

I agree with all comments already been on here about Giannis the barman, really does try very hard to make sure everyone enjoys their holiday, he cant do enough to entertain you including his magic rope trick !  The staff in the shop are also very, very helpful nothing is too much trouble

The maids also did a brilliant job, well they had to cleaning up after my lot every day, which wasnt easy most days, but always had time to smile and say hiya to you

hi gillian, i can promise you 100% you wont regret booking st dennis appartments, they have all been refurbished and are very high quality ( especially for greece ) there immaculate !!   as for the balconies, well ive never had a balcony so big and so clean before, a definate recommendation for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in tsilivi

we stayed at st. dennis apts 4 years ago and we liked it, the only thing we had to complain about is that our room was dirty, and the balconies werent fab, but we went to tsilivi this year and went round to the dennis apts just to be nosy and we found that they have done work to the apartment and they look allot better, im looking for apartments for 2009 when i go to tsilivi with friends and im seriously considering st dennis apartments

Wonderful - sunny, happy, clean, right next to all all the shops, restaurants and beach (but feels private) - I've been to Greek Islands 5 times and would definitely reccomend the St. Denis appartments! - what more could you want?! (and I agree with the others that Gianni (?) (pool bar boss) was lovely)

hiya julian, yes had another fabulous week, weather and company was great.. you not wot giannis is like, i asked if he will be here next yr, i got a cheeky smile, an outpitched giggle and he just says i dunno, to be honest i dont think he will know untill end of season, but hey they should realise how he has turned the place around this year, everybody loves him and fotis, st dennis wouldnt be the same without them both there

well said donna, 'freedom of choice' i believe, people should be able to do what they want on holiday. my family and i found st dennis and tsilivi the perfect mix and we met some fantastic people (great that we're keeping in touch donna, leah and cj).

I have to comment and back Debs up here, St Dennis is a fantastic place to stay and as long as YOU AND YOUR FAMILY enjoy themselves that is the main thing. Debs, we met but our families didn't really get to know each other, hopefully that will change next year. Got to know Donna, CJ and Leah well (but then i am her financial advisor!!) and am in touch with her regularly.

totally agree with ciara and deb ! the place and resort are excellent, im going back august 14th for ""just one more "" week, ( just to make sure its still as good as it was in june/july ) wish you was all out there but will defo get to see u all next june,

Have just returned from the st denis apartments in tsivili. Would recommend them as they are very clean and modern and well maintained. There is a lovely pool area with a bar which is open all day and into the early hours, although the music can be annoying and they play some dodgy stuff. The actual resort is extremely tacky and has lots of shops all selling exactly the same thing .ie. cheap souvenirs and plastic rubbish. The best restaurant we found was Menir as they put the effort in and it had a good atmosphere. We didnt go into the resort much because it wasnt our type of thing so we hired a car and found the best beaches where only the locals went. The island is very pretty and mountainous. There are some lovely places to see out there but you wont see them in the resort. You would  definately need to hire a car to get around and see the island. The resort was not authentically greek or quaint as i was hoping. It could have been anywhere in the world or even in the uk except that the heat told you it wasnt the uk!!!! The resort was full of groups of youngsters or young couples and it was very lively and a  it rowdy. Zante is a lovely island but i think it has been ruined by the tourists who demand their "full english" or "roasts". It may have been a nice resort once but i think it was just too tacky and "northern" for our liking. The nearby beaches were a disappointment as they did not look like that in the brochure. They were very narrow strips of beach which were crammed with sun loungers and you were virtually rubbing shoulders with the next person. You need to travel to get to the best beaches for sure. I did love the laid back way  of life and it was nice to escape rules and regs britain and get some sun but it was let down by the resort. Great apartments though and the maids did an excellent job so tip them well!!!  

hi, just at the top of the junction where you would of turned right to go down to the Tom and Johns and the beach. St Senis supermarket on one corner and a bar on the other...little slip road leads you to st. Denis apartments.  Only 2 mins away from Tom and Johns!

Can anyone tell me where in Tsilivi the St Denis apartments are met Yani at Tom And Johns last year like to go and see him again be in Tsivili 31st July getting married there on 9th August.Thanks

june 2007 was the best holiday i have ever had! i really don't understand why first choice rate st denis 3*, it's much better than that.

Nice to hear from you Kevin! Will probably see you second week of our holiday. It will be nice to gloat about us winning the league again, this time by a staggering ten points. he he he.

Got to agree with all the comments about what a fantastic place the St Denis apartments are. Gianni and Fortis really make you feel welcome and the complex itself is a small piece of paradise. The maid service is excellent and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Got home after 2 weeks last Tuesday, booked up for the same 2 weeks next year on the Wednesday, saw it was booking up fast so sent Donna a quick email saying ' book now!!!!' Look forward to seeing you all next year, and by the way Julian (ALAN PARTRIDGE - private joke!!), Chelsea will have regained the title by then!

 We also couldnt book are prefered dates next year, but I'm happy to say we have booked to return on the 15th June 2008 for two weeks. This will be are third time to St Denis. I hope we see some familiar faces.

Giannis you are a legend mate, thank you for making our holiday even better than last year. (Grovel, Grovel) You work very hard indeed and I hope we both see you again next year in June and for the football, fingers crossed. Say hello to Fortis for me, tell him i hoped he enjoyed his Scnapps and didnt end up giving it pippa.  St Denis is a little gem, I wish i could write something bad about it, but I really cant although I dont want to dig it up too much otherwise there might not be any places left for us next year.

A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY...

We have just returned after a two week stay and just want to say that any worries we had afer reading comments previously posted were laid to rest as soon as we arrived. Staying on a B&B basis, we expected one room with four beds but were delighted that all the B&B accomodation are 2 bedrooms - what a bonus!

Generally, everything was of an excellent standard. Apartments are extremely well equipped (for Greece) and are spotlessly clean. The maids are in most days. The pool and grounds are kept clean and tidy and the bar is managed by the wonderful Giannis, helped by Fortis, who does the cooking.

Giannis works extremely hard to make sure that you enjoy your holiday, Nothing is too much trouble for this guy and he always has a big smile on his face.

WARNING - Giannis is very generous with his measures so it is very difficult to stay sober!

We miss this place aleady and are tring to book for June 2008.

Tsilivi is a lovely resort and has a lot to offer everyone. Lovely safe beach for children (although can get very busy)

 

 just got back form st dennis apartments 24/06/2007 had a fantastic holiday . apartments are lovely just been refurbished very clean and tidy as maids come in everyday. the grounds and pool area are fantastic everything is so clean . the bar is great yannis the barman is super so much fun nothing is too much trouble for him .and barfood is great not expensive overall best holiday ever had .missing everybody yannis, fortees ,and selese

only glad we did, great place to stay all parts of accomodation very good.

in  answer to all questions by people wanting to know if refurbishment was ok,**

 I cant believe Big D has gone . I had some tee shirts made up and everything. "BIG D YOU CANT SEE ME" I stayed with my girlfriend in June 2006 and were both returning on the 19th June 2007. I thoroughly enjoyed it last time, for me everything was perfect, no fighting for sunbeds and lots of space in the pool. Its a pity the World Cup isnt on this time as last year was awesome. Big D come back.......

My Boyfriend and i went to St Denis last June whislt the World Cup was on and loved it!! We are returing again in June. This time for 2 weeks!!

The apartments are lovely, although a little out dated. The Gardens around the pool and apartments are beautiful. You can tell alot of time has been spent taking care of them!

Does any one know if the refurbishments have been done? If so what does it look like?

I have to warn you all that if you venture out for something to eat, try and advoid the Mexican/Greek resaurant. They do not cook the chicken properly! We were both very very sick the next day

Is it true that Big D and his brother have left??! They were one of the reasons we wanted to go back! They were cool! " Big D, you cant see meeeeee!" Anyway...im gutted they have gone!

Just returned from St Denis, had an amazing honeymoon made extra special by Giannis ( the best barman in the world ! ) hotel exceded our expectations, just had refurb and looks great, so clean, a little slice of paradise !!! Always said would never go back to same place twice but in this case will definately go back!! ask Giannis to teach you Greek !

You may not have noticed when you stayed at the St Denis but there are ongoing refurbishments, we stayed in the Bed and Breakfast part of the apartment and they were fantastic clean bright and shiny... We did look at other people apartments for the self catering and i agree very outdated, but dont' lose heart when all the refurbishments are done it will be a beautiful place to stay, they just need some form of personality behind the bar!!

First time we have stayed in Zante, 1st week in October 2006 Not too hot and nice and quiet. St Dennis apartments are very clean but suffer from the fact that they are some of the oldest accommodation in the St Dennis area.  The bedrooms were good , kitchen area was a bit outdated but we have been in a lot worse. The pool was very good and location between the beach and town centre was perfect.  We`hired a Car from Sandra at Theos Car rental. She could not have been more helpful. The car was cheap and so new that it had no number plates on it!!  I was told that the complex was being refurbished this coming winter and if that is the case I would have no hesitation in recommending them.  The noise from a cockrel and dogs barking were a bit of a problem but this seems to be a general problem in Zante.   Kalamaki   and Gerakas were by far the best beaches on the island.
